    Use the star hand bolt under your seat and put it on your front deck plate .so you can remove it toolless .I did.

    The lights are always on because they’re LED, whether they’re on or off is inconsequential. You’ll never make up for the effort and cost of putting in a switch. You do a great job on video presentation.

    You can also remove the plastic seat bumpers and replace with 3 inch motorcycle seat springs barrel type. Much more comfortable.

    I have this exact model. Any advice why exactly the left and right levers for forward and reverse don’t match up off about 1/4 of an inch even after using the fine adjustments if I make them dead even the same then it pulls one way or the other

    • @sneezeacres5240
      @sneezeacres5240  2 роки тому +1

      I have fiddled with that same problem lol. I have messed with that adjustment on the handles with no luck. Im thinking there are cable adjustments down under the machine maybe right before they attach to the hydraulics. Haven’t got under it yet to look. It’s on my todo list. Manual doesn’t say much about that.

    Man that's a great idea with the lights, I have the 42 with 85hours 1yr. That seat falling forward drove me crazy at first, I did a thing on mine lol. I also have 2005 ZTR 50 Cub with the Briggs V twin 475hrs not as fast or comfortable as the Big Brother but it still cuts awesome! and the Briggs engine is very strong. If this ZT1 last as long as the ZTR I'm pleased! Great review

    I have the newer model ZT1 54" with the "S" Blades (490 110 C194) which are very expensive. I would like to swap out the 3 "S" spindles (618P09236) for the Star Spindle which offers a better selection of Blades at a much lower price. Like the Oregon 3 gator blade. They don't make any for the "S" blades. Any one know of a switch over spindle that will work?

    Is it normal for there to be black smoke on startup when the choke is applied? Runs like a champ with no smoke when once I take it out of choke position.

    • @natesv04
      @natesv04 2 роки тому

      When you choke it your basically feeding the carb a bunch of extra fuel. As soon as it starts pull it into the high idle detent out of choke. Pretty normal, black smoke is extra fuel. White smoke is not good.

    • @sneezeacres5240
      @sneezeacres5240  2 роки тому

      I bought it for my “good” yard. Most lawn tractors and zero turns are not ment for “field” type work. They just wouldn’t hold up over time. That being said I have used mine out in hay field to trim around fence posts etc. if you mean light duty as not a commercially used mower? I think there could be better choice nut for what this was designed to be used for ……does a good job

      I just purchased my ZT1 42in 3 weeks ago. It did NOT have an hour meter. I purchased one at Tractor Supply and installed it. Easy to do. My only problem now is from the moment I installed the meter it say's "LO pressure"! I wouldn't have known a thing if I didn't install the meter! I'm hoping it's just because it is new and only has 3 hrs on it. IMO these mowers should come stock with the hour meter!
