Yup I’ve bought one and am not regretting it. The neck and body are good enough to put on some parts to make it more enjoyable such as better bridge, pickups, tuners, and nut. And BAM!! you can then change the name and color. Lol
Man, that guitar sounds great! Great playing too! Would you recommend it for a person that never played an 8 string before? I'm planning to play metal though.
Thanks! It's a cool guitar! The weak point is definitely the hollow tuning heads, and I have to be careful and have my luthier drill out the low pegs with this heavy of a string guage. That said, these are 65's on the bottom which I am told is kinda heavy. It's great tho, especially if you're not sure how seriously you'll play it. But if you're already playing and want a serious 8 string I'd say go with an Ibanez or something a little higher quality.
@@joshkguitar i built the 7 and 8 string , I highly recommend it. The neck feels great, weak pickups but everyone replaces pickups to their own taste anyway..
Hey! What is the scale length of this guitar? I've seen 26.5" and 25.5" on the website, and I've seen people say both. Can you measure from the bridge to the nut? THANKS!
I am really interested in trying new things on guitar but I am a left handed player so I don't got the chance to have a lot of options about a week ago I saw this 8 string gstyle guitar and it was 249 I was really exited but I couldn't find any information about the guitar thanks to you now I can know how it sounds how it plays etc I am planing to order 1 in left handed right now thank you for the video
Awesome! Best of luck!! Pretty sure it says in the video but just in case: Weakest point on these guitars would be the hollow tuning pegs. And honestly those can be really easily replaced if you need to, but just fyi.
I am lucky to be endorsed by a fantastic luthier, so in this case nothing. But I'd expect to pay roughly $100-$200 for a service like this. The other option would be to just upgrade the tuners and bridge and learn to set it up yourself. Prob about the same cost and you'll learn something about the instrument in the process (I always do!)
I spent this whole video watching the glass filled with liquid dangerously close to the head of your 8 string. lol
I often like to live dangerously.
*don't try at home 🤣
Yup haha
Haha me too

great demo, thanks. What about the action on it ?
Great! Setups fix so many issues. But I'll say if you want this thing to rip, new bridge and tuners would go a LONG way for the sake of durability.
@@joshkguitar thank you sir 😊
Bexgears 8 string kit
Checks out. Thanks for spotting that

I'm a lefty but learned to play right handed because all the power in your left hand anyway, and I get the availability of right handed instruments
that glass is giving me so much anxiety!

what did you pay for set up?

Djent?
It does, but I don't haha
I'd say a good setup is essential tho. Tuners, bridge etc had to be worked carefully to get the flop out of the low strings.
