- We take a 95 mile round-trip Jet Ski ride from Jupiter to Ft. Pierce, FL. We stop at Little Jim Bait and Tackle for lunch, Boyscout Island, and ride past the nuclear power plant on Hutchinson Island. We see porpoises and sea turtles along the way and had a successful trip with no breakdowns or issues. Mike was on a Yamaha GP1800 SVHO, Rhi on a SeaDoo GTX 230, Ramiro on a SeaDoo GTX 300 Limited JP Stage 1+, and JD on a Kawasaki Ultra 310 LX-S Stage 1

Sorry some of the footage at the beginning of the video is choppy since I am holding the camera with my hand
Have you ridden a new FX SVHO?
No...have not met one person who rides one down here. Those FX SVHOs are rarer than the Kawasakis
Great ride from the looks of it. Love the part of encouragement, only another 11 miles 😂😜🤪. That’s a lifetime for some on a wrong PWC 🥴. Thanks for sharing JD
Hahah yeah the GoPro doesn’t do the conditions justice..it was a long and tiring ride, but fun and to a place I haven’t been before..I was sore for 3 days after!
Great ride man.. you're brave for practically driving with one hand while recording with the other during that chop..
Yeah not ideal that’s why I slowed way down when trying to film! I ordered a new chest mount
Looks like a great ride! Thanks for posting JD!
It was a cool ride but the conditions weee much more challenging than the GoPro admits..it was definitely a long one!
I remember being out in (maybe) similar conditions. Probably should not have been but it got better as I went along. That was the trip I took from Jupiter to Stuart. The ride back was so much better! Thanks JD!
Yeah I was impressed you attempted that! We did that same ride but then an extra 25 miles north to Ft Pierce!
Never be impressed with my stupidity!!!🤣😂 It was such a fun ride though!
God bless you make hurts just from watching 😂 love our rivers here in Texas nice and smooooth
Haha well went for a change of pace and did a ride on Lake Okeechobee yesterday- the second largest freshwater lake in the Continental USA- and it was rougher than the freaking ocean!
Excellent video again 👍I’d say that RXTX had to work hard to keep up in that chop,, st3 hull is hard work in heavy chop, I used to ride one over here in northern Atlantic, Ireland 🇮🇪 yammie is great but shake you up , Kawie is the only one for it .. great work ☘️
Hahah oh yeah Ramiro will tell you his arms hurt the next day from wrangling that ST3! Now his ski is pretty darn fast, but the Kawi requires almost no input to stay a true course through the chop, as you know!
Looks kinda fun but I like much smoother waters. I live in South Jersey and 2 miles from the Mullica River. It is my paradise in the summer. Water has reached 88 degrees. It's a brackish water with low salt content. Many days im skiing on glass. I absolutely love it 😅
Nice that’s awesome..I rarely ever get glass conditions but it would be nice every now and again
Someone is getting an action camera mount for their birthday, yup.
lol well I normally have the helmet mount but didn’t bring the helmet this trip and my crappy Amazon chest mount snapped
@@JDsWaterWorld look into the bite mount. I was going to explore one of those or the monkey tail mount. That one would do well in the multi-mount space Kawi put near the bars.
Yeah bite mount is a good idea. When I ride with other ppl I feel weird being the only one with a helmet- can’t hear what anyone is saying, but do really like how well the helmet insulates your face from the spray and salt
@@JDsWaterWorld I got a cheapie ski mask from Amazon that I use. You can wear sunglasses underneath and it covers your nose.
Do you feel that the LX-S seat gives good support? It’s not quite as bolstered as the LX but the seat material is grippier. Great video
I am perfectly happy with the seat on the Lx-s. Out in the chop I typically sit on the lumbar bolster actually for the extra cushioning. I like being able to slide back and forth on the seat without the giant support bolster there…
So the obvious question is how did the Yammie handle the chop? New hull is improved right?
Only the FX has the new SMC hull…he did fine on the GP, it seemed to handle the chop alright. I had a nano VX and I just remember the feeling the hull was gonna come apart when it slammed down!
@@JDsWaterWorld have you ridden the new FX SVHO? Once the new 1.9L is in there, may be worth consideration
No I have not! Yamaha lost me as a customer with their terrible paint and defective designs
I have not, if I knew someone that had one I would love to try it, but I would not be buying another Yamaha Waverunner any time soon. The 1.9 SVHO has the same oiling problem as the 1.8 evidently.
How much fuel did you burn? Did you use both of your cans? How much did you bring?
About 30 gallons I think but didn’t keep track really- stopped to refuel on the water on the way back. I brought one 2 gallon rotopax jug for emergency , it fits in front compartment
@@JDsWaterWorld so you refueled at the halfway point? I was gonna ask how fast you were going but the video showed you leading the pack, as expected. Good to know.
I tried pulling up my vin to see about the new replacement seat for the clear cover on Kawi site but it pulls up the wire harmess recall saying contact dealer as my ski `might’ be effected. Lol I just came looking for a rubber seal and now have a 50/50 on wire harness failure is there a manufacturer number to call vs finding a local dealer to call ?
Your best bet is to call the dealer, but if they are being idiots, you can call the 1800 number in the back of the manual!
JD - Have you found a fuel rack holder for the Kawi 310 Ultra that you like and works well. We are doing some longer rides on the west coast and do not have 91 octane available on the water. Curious if you have any solutions you like.

That is the OEM cargo rack with 15 gallons of fuel, I now also have 2 2-gal rotopax jugs that mount directly to the rack so you can transport a total of 19 gallons if you want. Search for my video of the Rotopax as well. The stock cargo rack is very heavy duty and fits 3 standard 5 gal jugs well
Which model do u recommend in this 100miles trip , comfortable and fast Kawasaki / Seadoo / Yamaha
I am very biased, But my bias is due to my experience, and that experience has taught me that Kawasaki is the only company that makes a durable and reliable jet ski I can count on out in the ocean
Why I Chose A Kawasaki Ultra 310 Jet Ski Over a Yamaha FX SVHO or a SeaDoo 🔥🔥

I see that you removed the sound system for this ride
I removed the sound system to perform the wire harness update- long story…lol
@@JDsWaterWorld I see
