- Starting the morning off in Miami, I trailered my Jetski up to Fort Lauderdale. Launching out of Harbour Towne Marina was a breeze. The Marina has plenty of parking and 24 hour security.
Conditions weren't perfect, but it was still manageable to make the crossing. I only used 1, out of the 2, 5 gallon gas cans. Some of the safety equipment I had was a VHF radio, EPIRB, flare and navigation using Navionics downloaded maps on my cell phone.
Watching the big buildings on the coast of south Florida disappear as we were riding deeper into the Atlantic was a daunting feeling. But seeing the island of Bimini from the distance has got to be one of the most exciting moments of my life.
When arriving in Bimini, you will need to check-in with customs clearance. I stayed at Resorts World, which was gorgeous! There isn't much to do on Bimini, rent a golf cart and you will be able to see the entire island in 1 day.
The Bahamian Conch Salad is as fresh as can be and everything served by the local food stands is delicious.
This was truly an adventure of a lifetime and something I will remember forever. I am glad I was able to check this off my bucket list and I hope to do it again someday.

Np, yes I have been by ski 3 times the our trip to The Great Abaco’s much bigger adventure. But still wouldn’t take it over a Bimini trip.

You’re the first one I ever seen add gas on the way to the Bahamas. Do you think you could’ve made it? Maybe the other ones are adding gas and not videoing
My Rxpx 300 is not fuel efficient, I needed the gas. With a more fuel efficiency ski I think you can make it across on 1 full tank.
Thans not like wave runner big fule rank full efect jet drive. Mak 1 tank no extra gas

couple of questions, Where did you spot that shark ??! lol & where on the island did you film that last bit of footage on the rocks. I will be there next month
The shark was by Bimini Big Game Marina and the rocks are at the southern point of the island. It is very small, you can explore the whole island in one day with a golf cart.
Do you have to do anything with immigration when you pull up to the Bahamas like this?
I know I always wonder because it is a different country so would you need like a passport or do people even check, although it does always seem the people doing this are always following a boat, so it might be like a tour or something there doing and they get their passports checked beforehand i’m not sure though.
You have to sign in(He shows going up to the building in this video) but you don't need a passport, just a drivers license, at least if you're from the US.

@@corymuroff Thanks for asking. Enviromental damage, noise and related accidents. Ive been run over by one years ago. Last year an acquaintance of mine was killed just off shore. Granted its not the jetski that kills but the driver. in my experience and growing up in the Bahamas ive never seen anything appealing in them.
