Love your reviews because you understand it is not about you, its the piece being reviewed that's important. No 5 minute waffle before a start, great stuff.
Absolutely. I fast forward those Guys.
I mean, it is a little bit about them… otherwise we’d just watch the original video. I enjoy the reviews and reactions.
@@Zer0t0lerance93 True but the early waffle has nothing to do with the original video, normally,as they haven't seen it yet but once the video is underway THEN we can hear their reviews and reactions :)
Depends on the person. Different strokes for different folk.
...why you watching channels of people you don’t vibe with? Lol
@@kajenbop As I said,I am interested in their views, reviews, and reactions to what they have just watched not what they had for breakfast or their 3td favourite colour...lol

That's deep

knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting tomatoes in a fruit salad. Philosophy is wondering if ketchup is a smoothie.
Man you know how to flatter yourself dontcha
The fact you love Ricky, Steve & Karl on XFM makes me LOVE this channel even more!
You are a blessing young lady. It is a pleasure watching you grow
I've been using The Ricky Gervais Show and similar by the boys to help me fall asleep on and off for about 15 years I think. Still makes me laugh too, and I still hear new things occasionally since I usually fall asleep pretty fast when listening to them.
Nice reaction as always. 😊
The same thing happens to me! If I fast forward to about an hour in, I may catch something I hadn’t heard due to sleep lol that show works every time
Same, I've listened to every episode easily 20 times.
Same, I put on a 30min sleep timer, when I wake up in the night I rewind 15mins to catch what I may have missed
I would imagine Ricky fully understands why Steve Carell left The Office, since he has always moved on from his own shows after a couple of seasons, rather than allowing them to become stale. (He only did two short seasons of The Office in the UK, two seasons of Extras, and two seasons of Derek.) I think his latest show, After Life, might be on its third season, but he's known for not wanting to keep making endless seasons of something just because it's popular. If anyone can appreciate why Carell felt the need to move on, it would be Ricky himself.
That is really the biggest difference between US and UK shows in general and why I tend to like British shows a lot more. One exception of a show not going stale that has been on for a long time would be South Park imo, and that is mostly due to the creators never relinquishing control
Steve Carell left because he had cancer...
We need people like Ricky in today's society but most now look the other way but his fans love the way he does his comedy. Great reaction as per!
Aww, I still fall asleep to those too ✌🏻 cool to hear😊
I love that you’re also part of the xfm show sleep crew.
There's this a movie of Ricky Gervais that I really liked, it's called 'The Invention of Lying'. Also i'm listening to this band who I love it, called 'Diablo Swing Orchestra', my favorite songs are 'Voodoo Mon Amour', 'Black Box Messiah', and 'Celebremos Lo Inevitable', I highly recommend it.
Sorry for my english, Greetings from Chile.
The Invention of Lying is great!
Graham Norton show is awesome, you have to watch it sometimes, but so many good ones
I’ll check if they have an episode on UA-cam that I can catch
@@NoProtocol You should check the part where Kate Beckinsale is on the GN show, talking about her... hobby.
Sounds cryptic. I will then haha
@@NoProtocolPlease check out Miriam Margoyles Graham Norton Show compilations. She has a few of them out there on UA-cam. She's an old women with no filter and a national treasure here in the UK. Or if you watch a whole Graham Norton Show the episode with Bill Murray, Matt Damon, and Hugh Bonneville is legendary. ✌️
I think the Graham Norton show is crap. When it first began about 20 years ago it was ok but it's a bit past it now
You have the absolute most contagious smile!! I love your reactions!! They make my day!
You’re always very nice to watch. I’m always left feeling happy.
I’m so glad to read this (:
You have one of the prettiest smile on the planet. An enchanting smile. It always brightens my day. 😊
Gervais relationship must be one of the greatest ones on the planet, honestly. I am 100% positive they both are hilarious and have metric tons of fun together.
Omg. I literally listen to XFM w/ Steve, Ricky, & Karl every night as I try to sleep. Monkey News, Rock Busters, Educating Ricky…Etc.. so amazing!
I'd like to see you react to some of Ricky Gervais' stand-up routines from his specials. Some of it is brilliant. I also love the Graham Norton show. As always, love ya.
The Ricky Gervais show is pure comedy brilliance. I was introduced to it at the office by a colleague, which was a bad idea. We were just laughing way too loud, disturbing everyone around us :P
Love your show and love the format.and your dialogues and pondering on the various topics and tangents.
always the highlight of the day, to see you giggle to funny videos 😃
I’m sorry but you have the most gorgeous smile I’ve ever seen ❤
Stand in line……. Loll
Man's a national treasure. You use a bucket as a mug 😂 it's huge
It’s so I can fit 12oz of coffee in one cup lol
@@NoProtocol Have you seen 1980s Pop "Idol" Ricky Fervais in his first attempt at stardom in his Group: Seona Dancing, a "New Wave" Band. There is a track by Seona Dancing "No More To Lose" on UA-cam:)
A very YOUNG, Ricky !:)
"Ricky"
VOIDRAKER SAYS YES. ❤
I already liked you but now you tell me you listen to the xfm shows to fall asleep too!!! 😍I literally cannot sleep without them
Beautiful Smile
Always a good watch
Hell YEAH! the end part. I had old Xfm podcasts on a dvd :D that bring back some memories.
XFM vids! You've really caught me off guard with that one!😀Awesome to hear that you've listened to the comedy gold from their shows! Their chats are so brilliant and natural... Listening to them spin the yarn helps you understand why and how they were all destined to make more comedy together(The Office UK, Derek, Life's too short etc)! It's just cool to see where they started together! Plus... like you say it's like a audio time capsule too!
Ricky is so funny, and says meaningful things, not just funny things. Love it. Congrats on 100k subs. I was here before it was cool! lol. Love your smile =)
I know that you’ve been here since really early days! I appreciate that so much. Hope you’re well (:
I’ve heard the old xfm shown multiple times too. Doesn’t get old.
Are you sat on the arm of your chair?
I’m actually seated on a pillow that I’ve folded to boost me up on one half of the chair because the desk is a bit too high. Or maybe I am too small lol
@@NoProtocol you usually look perfect, was there an earthquake?
Ps it was more that you were sat to one side that threw me off. ♥️
Whenever I see You smile And I hear Your voice, My Lady??? It just makes my day... Thank You for Being!! Trillion kisses from Peter from Hungaryyyy!!, ;)
I like your upload schedule! I enjoy watching your videos when i return home from University😁
love the reviews, bohemian like you is such a great song, if your looking for quality 00s rock id recommend any of the strokes albums they're so consistent song after song
One of the few celebrities I'd love to have a beer with. He's great.
Oh man, the Dandy Warhols. I had to go back and listen to "Not if you were the last junkie on earth." For 2000-2009, I'd say a song I always thought should have been bigger was White Mud Freeway's "Mercury" - but I'm a sucker for that college radio indie stuff.
I can’t use the XFM show/podcast to fall asleep to, but I will listen to it on cycle while at work 😆
I still use the podcasts to goto sleep to. Even after 8 years.
Dudley Perkins "Flowers" (2003), Simian Mobile Disco "I Believe" (2007), MED "Can't Hold On" (2005), Natalie Walker "Quicksand (Thievery Corporation Remix)" (2006)
Your outro reminds of a quote about the difference between knowledge and wisdom: "Knowledge is knowing that Frankenstein is not the monster. Wisdom is knowing that Frankenstein is the monster".
Bohemian like you is such a great song! That really took me back. The first song recommendation that came to mind in the same vein is Disco 2000 by Pulp, should be right up your ally. It's from the 90s, but should still count since it's about the year 2000.
I’ve never heard that quote but I read it a few times, thinking about how true it is.
Pulp is always a good choice!
It’s been my way to fall asleep since about 2010 😂 it’s wild how many people seem to use it to sleep.
Graham Norton is a great show. I've gone down the rabbit hole, as much as you can on UA-cam. Having more than one guest at a time, is a great way to keep things interesting, and to hear from people, and perspectives that you might, otherwise never hear.
Consider reacting to an idiot abroad if you haven’t already. It is pure TV gold.
Steve Carrell's stone face as Ricky is trying to get his Emmy is so good! 🤣🤣🤣
omg i love your reaction stuff
As a GenX'r I wish all the younger people I encounter in life were as intelligent, graceful & well spoken as yourself. I dont always care what the video subject is but know it's worth watching just for your wisdom and wonderful demeanor, thanks for the great content 😊
Steve and Ricky are really good friends.. In fact most of the hate thing is scripted between both of them. He did say this on British TV
"Life's too short", is probably the funniest show Ricky made. It stars Warwick Davis, who is a little person. Unfortunately, it's only a season or two long
The best comedies know when to stop! There were seven episodes plus one special. Completely agree, though: absolutely hilarious show!
"You did it, i didn't! You did it, sh.ut the f- up!"
I love this man for this scene alone.
Recently read Rant based on your recommendation. What a ride that was! It's a strange book, I didn't love a lot of it but I know I'll be thinking about it for a long time. That seems to be the Chuck Palahniuk way and I'm on a journey through his work now.
I have a song for you: Fliptrix - See the Sun. A lot of rap is dark/grimy whereas this to me is cautiously optimistic which is what I need. The sample is absolutely exquisite too, it's from First Aid Kit - Jagadamba You Might and it's a haunting, beautiful song mixed perfectly with Fliptrix. I rep it on rainy or cloudy Uk days and when the suns out and it lifts my mood no matter what. Plus it got me into First Aid Kit too who I can't recommend enough.
I’m glad you read it! Yeah it’s definitely strange. Totally understand about there being parts you didn’t like, the same happened to me but by the end I thought it was interestingly tied together in a way I didn’t see coming until the last chapters. That was my first example of the grandfather paradox.
Listening to See the Sun as I type and I really like it! I was actually making a hip-hop mix & this will fix nicely. I don’t know First Aid Kid yet, I’ll check it out after this. Thanks for the recommendation (:
@@NoProtocol The way so many things tied in towards the end was amazing. It was definitely a unique read and I think a re-read is necessary to catch bits I missed first time round. The part early on when his mom changed the way she viewed Rant after discovering the bogeys on his wall was unexpectedly powerful! Chuck has a way of using gross or extreme things to make really powerful commentaries, it's eye opening.
Wow, I'm happy you listened to See the Sun and like it! UK hip hop is one of my biggest passions, if you want anymore tracks I'd be happy to share them. I love powerful + intricate lyrics and samples which you wouldn't expect to hear in a rap song.
Thanks so much for your videos. The format is brilliant and they brighten up my day, keep it up!
I did end up reading it twice at different ages. The second time made more sense but yeah the way he even the boogers had meaning was insane. He’s such a good writer.
Sometimes I listen to Loyle Carner or Pinty but I could stand to expand my library with more UK hip-hop!
Thanks for watching the videos, I’m just glad you like them (:
@@NoProtocol Chuck is amazing, his Make Something Up short stories are worth reading. Mainly for the longest story in the book, Inclinations, which is haunting! Thanks for introducing me to his work.
Ok strap in, I'll only give you a few music suggestions to avoid overwhelming you!
1. Jehst. The king of UK hip hop, our own version of Nas. The entire Return of the Drifter EP is incredible, first song I'd try would be Alcoholic Author as it has my favourite line in hip hop ("Cut the weather vane. I hear blood water tapping the lord's morse code on my window pane"), the whole song is quoteable tbh. His metaphors are elite and often beautiful and the grainy voice audio, combined with the beats and his love of record scratches enhances the feel of a lot of his songs. If you like it next songs up are 1979 and City of Industry (same album).
2. The Four Owls. One of my favourite groups who rap about all sorts, they have deep songs and stoner songs. Listen to Old Earth first, it hits in a similar way to See the Sun. Fliptrix is one of the 4 members and they all have great solo albums too. Leaf Dog (their main producer who also raps) has a unique voice and just released a track with Snoop Dogg.
3. I'm torn who to recommend for the final one. Based on your videos I'm going to go for a storyteller, Ed Scissor (formerly Edward/Ed Scissortongue). Song to start is The Prospector, a sci fi story about a future where mankinds mega corporations mine the moon ("He was woken by the sound of cycles in the silence, a second birth. Synthesising artificial bodies out of stasis"). Or Theremin, inspired by the Terminator/Matrix. His older stuff is his best, he does spoken word poetry now but he does do 'normal' rap songs lol, Better Luck Next Life is a great album.
I'll leave it there, always happy to send you more later, some of them are quite dark. As you can tell I love sharing these underappreciated artists!
Thanks for reading, have a lovely day
"Hau dou jou knoov vhat Herr Norton can dou, Ricky?"
Ricky has hosted 5 editions of the globes over a period of 10y...
"Aicha" by Outlandish is a great song from the early 2000s. Have you ever considered doing song reactions? It seems to be a very popular UA-cam genre.
Oh wow I used to sleep to those XFM shows too! I also copied 6 of them on to my phone when I drove from England to Wales. The journey flew by!
11:10 same thing (about sleep and karl)
FIVE YEARS!!!!
So Fresh & Clean - Outkast
Also a banger
On the OutKast front….there is a Canadian band called Walk Off the Earth that does an outstanding cover of Hey Ya that I highly recommend. You have to watch the video to get the full effect.
Damm i forgot about the xfm shows, time to listen to all of them again
Excellent pick with Outkast. And speaking of Erykah, check out The Roots - You Got Me ft. Erykah Badu. The whole album (Things Fall Apart) is amazing, but the segue was to good to pass up.
You have such a beautiful and warm smile.
Loved watching Ricky Gervais in " Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" Jerry Seinfeld.
I like it raw
I’m so jealous of whomever is dating you 😍
I think, everyone is. Every man dreams of finding a woman as beautiful and intelligent as her.
I don't blame you one bit.
The Ricky Gervais show is now on Spotify as well. Well organised and good audio levels. :)
So good to know!

Hey! Thanks again (:
“Miss Universe” coming from earth is funny, what does that even mean 😂
You listen to RSK on XFM!? Marry me!
No, seriously...
I've recently discovered this channel and I highly admire your mind, your intelligence and your sense of humor.
I feel like this is the sort of stuff that I can sit down and rely on after a hard day at work.
Pilkington for president!
I felt like I was the one guy in Sweden who knew about him when the podcast hit it big in 2005, but I guess "An idiot abroad" and HBO:s animated show truly brought Karl into the light. He belong to everyone now, and I couldn't be happier.
I love your stuff. Please, keep going...

Music recommendation from a song between 2000 and 2009?
Sure, how about Herbert Grönemeyer with the song "Der Weg" (EN/US: the way ; meaning: the road you go in life) from the album "Mensch" (EN/US: human), published 2002.
He devoted this song to his wife who died in 1998 from breast cancer, just 4 days after his brother died.
Side note:
He was one of the actors in the 1981 movie "Das Boot", an anti war movie about the experiences of a submarine crew in ww2.
Info from wikipedia:
An adaptation of Lothar-Günther Buchheim's 1973 German novel based on his experiences aboard German submarine U-96 .
Das Boot received positive reviews, and was nominated for six Academy Awards; two of these (Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay) went to Petersen himself. He was also nominated for a BAFTA Award and DGA Award.
Edit: Just figured - seems he also produced/composed(?) most of the sound tracks of the movie "The American" with George Clooney as star actor.
Aswell as ... he acted in and made the soundtrack of "A most wanted man".
But that just as additional Info. Herbert Gränemeyer is first and foremost a singer and songwriter, maybe the most successful one in Germany with German songs.
A couple of other short clips of Ricky on talk shows - Ricky on the Ellen Show - "Pitch Please", Ricky and Conan O'Brien take a bubble bath. Also, though there isn't much chance you haven't seen it - Mel Brooks' movie Young Frankenstein.
the strokes- heart in a cage
There is a Graham Northern Episode with both Ricky and Steve Carell. Steve have huge respect for Ricky, and vise versa :)
Finally some comedy!!!
Edit: please do more! You have to check out Shane Gillis!
..I will be forever grateful to him, to introduce Karl pilkington to the World! I rewatch "The Ricky Gervais Show" (animated cartoons of podcast) ..as i was writing this, you spoke about xfm, "An Idiot Abroad", and leveled audio..I do it all the time.. ..The cartoons, are fantastic, and add even more to Karls ideas.. ..music.. Rammstein ! ..either Live, or music videos..The BEST ! I was never a "band guy"..until i heard and saw Rammstein..and the layers of messages.. There is a channel "Bucksttabu", that uploaded many of their music videos with subtitles.. Some only available on their channel though..
So glad you've listened to the xfm show. It's genius. Im a smerch fan
His best moments were still his podcasts with Karl Pilkington and Stephen Merchant imo, those were all comedy gold, I'd love to see you react to one of those some time
Edit: Ah, you've already seen them lol
I think Ricky Gervais is the funniest and most ruthless celebrity out there. I feel him and George Carlin would've been great friends.
You are way more then just that but omg you are so preeeetty. I skip a beat every glimpse XD
she always finds the most random videos to react to lol
Talking of Frankenstein, book recommendation for you. If you want to get on a classic horror kick, you might like Collected Ghost Stories by M R James. They're gothic horror short stories set round the end of the 19th Century. Kind of like Poe but with a very Edwardian British flavour. They're fun, and can be pretty creepy if you're in the right mood
Nice to see you again, I think I've missed your recent stuff :(

Welcome back (:
He was hosting the Golden Globes at 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2020.
Sometimes when you are talking I forget what is being said and I just become aware that a really nice person is speaking. This realization gives me a nice feeling. You are a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Have to watch Graham Norton. The best chat show pretty much every celebrity says so. He has a way to get them to act like real people

"Your dreams should never be better than your real life, unless you're a sloth." - Karl Pilkington
Al Pachino never drives, neither does Ricky. Different worlds. I can’t even remotely imagine.
Carl Pilkington is just outrageous. No matter what he says Ricky can twist it for his own purposes.
He hosted the golden globes 5 times, and after his last, it’s unlikely they invite him back.
Graham Norton show is excellent!
There are a lot of great Graham Norton show clips. If you haven't seen the one with Chris Pratt's magic trick, you should check it out.
I have watched that many many times, imperfectly perfect. If you haven't done this, there are lots of videos of magicians or and card dudes explaining the trick unfortunately you have to watch a few to figure out the right one for you.
I don't think Ricky had a particular attachment to the American Office other than helping it to get off the ground and raking in the royalties. The original was his baby and that's why he kept it short but the quality high.
Play a record!
0:15 Why?
Graham Norton is one of the best talk show hosts.
One of the very best
Are you familiar with Norm Macdonald? I think you would appreciate his style - The Moth Joke, The most convoluted joke etc.
I haven’t seen any of his jokes but when I read the name I can picture him in my head haha I’ll have to watch a video in the future!
