Great job. I’ve seen dozens of reactions to this monologue, and you are the only one who got all the jokes, recognized the CEOs of Apple and Netflix (and the actors) and had interesting things to say. Thanks!
And the verbal flogging continued throughout the rest of the show. As British stand up goes, Ricky Gervais is among the best. He has a couple of specials out there.
This is arguably the greatest awards show monologue from a host in history ✋️😆. Ricky absolutely scorched the whole room 🔥🔥🔥. I loved the “SHUTUP!!! I know he’s your friend, but I don’t care” line about Geoffrey Epstein 😂😂😂. This proves just WHY Ricky should be the host for every awards show as he’d make them WORTH watching. Any time Ricky has “a beer or 4” close by, you just know that no-one is going to be safe 🔥😆🔥
Ricky Gervaise is one of those rare comedians these days who stands up and tells it as it is , no fakery , doesn't hold back, just gets straight to the point. However uncomfortable it might be to other people
In my opinion, it's because he never had to compromise. He wrote, directed, produced and starred in pretty much ever single project he's associated with (sure Stephen Merchant was there too). Gervais just does not do the walk, but can do the talk more eloquently and knowledgeably that many. When you see him talking with such luminaries as Richard Dawkins, and Dawkins being really interested in what is being said... yeah.
Well, by some stories, there was a few of those jabs that included him... Don't know how many are true, but I'm sure he'd know which shots would have his name attached to
When he said “in the end he didn’t kill himself.. just like jeffrey epstein” I was drinking water, spit the water all over my bed and phone and damn near choked
I was watching demolition man the other day and when Wesley snipes is looking for peeps to join the gang to unfreeze he mentions Jeffrey what is it with the name Jeffrey lol
Knowing how deep this rabbit hole goes by the end of his monologue and your reactions to the beginning and the middle of it already cringing is one of the most amazing parts of a reaction video. Thank You. Simply Amazing.
