The last movie I watched while I sat in my mom's room before she passed was Pure Country. The song 'I Cross My Heart" will always hold a special place in my heart and the last memory of my mom. ❤

I think I met him back in 1974 or 1975 at Ft Polk, La. I recall a young soldier who had performed for soldiers and officers. The General took him to the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. I have been trying to determine if I met young George. I am 72 next month. So we are the same age.

Also, a very sweet factoid about that movie is that George refused to do any love scenes or kissing in the movie, even though at it's core the movie is a "love story". George felt that by doing anything physical, it would be disrespectful to his real-life wife. That's class right there! 🥰

George Strait came onto the music scene in 1981. I just saw him in concert last Saturday. He is still the king!
Some in the crowd were enjoying Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton when they opened for him, but EVERYONE was on their feet for George.
One of the best!!! The movie was really sweet. What I found interesting when that movie came out was the fact that George told the director that he would not kiss the leading lady. He loves his wife so much that he refused to kiss another woman. That made me like him even more. So if you watch the movie you will see that he never kissed the leading lady, he did hug her though.

You guys should really check out Marty Stuart. He's been around awhile (played with veterans like Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash). You could check out some of his songs like Hillbilly Rock, Western Girls, Little Things, Going, Going, Gone, Burn Me Down, Tempted, Time Don't Wait and a couple with Travis Tritt, The Whiskey Ain't Workin' and Honky Tonkin's What I Do Best.
My aunt Glenda was a huge George Strait fan. This song was played at her funeral and I think of her everytime I hear it. Love you guys.

I'm not really a Country Music fan, but I love the movie Pure Country from which this song came from and it's soundtrack. I also think George Strait has a great voice. I have a copy of the movie on DVD and have watched it many times. I think you would enjoy it.
This was mine and my husband's first dance song at our wedding back in 2007. It was already a 15 year old song, but it fits us so well.
I just love how Amber feels out each song. And searches for that emotional connection. Be you feel it that way it touches me too. George Strait is simply the King of Country music.

I met my mother in law in 1983 she was a beaution she set her daughter and I up on a blind date in 1996. My wife ( Amalia ) and I used this song for our wedding as well in 1998 .. on mother's day this year her mom died and her father is battling pancreas and liver cancer as we speak .. when I just played this all the years and memories with her and her parents flowed out intensely !!! I love this song and it will always hold the most special place in my heart .. great reaction love the channel guys
