Yes, King George has 60 #1's. He is 100% traditional country. No autotune, no backup singers or costume changes. He's always the same. A man in a cowboy hat, button-down shirt, cowboy boots & his guitar. And I love how the last verse has God the father, speaking those words. Beautiful twist in the chorus.
No....he has AT LEAST 75 number ones. About 15 years ago when I was in the navy they released his 50 number 1's album. 6 years later when I got out of the navy about a year later I saw that he had dropped another album and it was titled 15 MORE number one hits. I compared them and there isn't a single song on this 15 more album that was on the original 50 number 1's album. Meaning he's got 75 at least and is probably closer to 80 or 85 now. verything he does goes STRAIT to number one and that has never changed.
George Strait is the undisputed KING of country music. 40+ years of recording success. Even in the 90's, when it seemed like all the performers were moving into fancy, overproduced shows with super technical light effects and even pyrotechnics, George kept it simple. Just him and the band. And it WORKS.
George is the current King of Country. He's had 62 songs go to #1 on the charts. Another song of his, that makes the listener pay attention to the story, is The Chair.
I admire him; he lost his 13 year old daughter in 1986 in a car crash but continued to sing this and other's songs about fathers and their children. I couldn't even imagine, I'd be reminded every time I had to sing something like this.
You really need more George Strait in your life. He has over 60 #1 Hits to date. I suggest Troubadour, All My Exes Live in Texas, I Can Still Make Cheyenne and Amarillo By Morning.
I love this song but it always makes me remember my wonderful father who passed 14 years ago. I miss him, he was an amazing man who just quietly went about getting things done and loved his family fiercely and made sure we all knew it.
What makes this song doubly special is knowing he lost his 14 year old daughter in a car accident way back in the day. He took a year off of everything and spent the time with his family. He always comes across as such a nice and decent person that I really hated his family had to go through that.
Another favorite of mine is "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunne. My father was a plumber and worked a regular job and then side work to put 5 kids through private school and this song reminds me of him.
FUN FACT ABOUT THE KING! King George Strait holds the world record for more number-one hit singles than any other artist in the history of music on any chart or in any genre, having recorded 59 number-one hit singles as of 2012.
Speaking of Love ..... George and his wife of 50 years are high school sweethearts and are still madly in love ... I'm so happy you like George's Music .... Country music legion of the 80's .... Many Many Albums .. --- Try his song .... " I cross my heart " ... A song he dedicated to his wife in the Movie "Pure Country"
I am not a big country fan but I LOVE George Strait. His songs are just perfection and his voice is amazing. The man does not have a bad song. Please do more George, you will love them all. 😊
I will easily admit that I am here for the older country reactions - Loretta Lynn, George Strait, Johnny Cash, etc. They are what I grew with and I love watching younger people (I'm 65) discover the older country and rock and folk that was available to us on the radio every day back then.
I love you kids' energy ❤️ . I'm married 33 years. I grew up it the sixties and seventies. Spent time in the military, marred raised two great sons with my wife. You'll have crazy busy years...enjoy everyone of em! One day, you'll have nothing but down time.
The King! My dad bought me a pair of wrangler jeans from tractor supply when I was about 6 and when we got home we found a George strait CD in the back pocket of them, my dad thinking he had just accidentally stolen a CD took it back to the store and they told him George was doing a promotion with wrangler and the CD came with the jeans . that became the first CD in my collection and sparked my love of country music particularly George Straits music, I played that CD to death 😂
One thing about my grandmother is that she had unbelievable unconditional love for family and friends. George carries on what true country music is supposed to be. BTW: I've got a young cat that messes with my laptop keyboard.
Lee Ann Womack wrote an original song for George at his Artist of the Decade concert, called "Just Stand There and Sing". It sums up all he has to do in one of his concerts.
George is the King! First live country show I had been to, at the time. All my friends were going to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where this was recorded....I did not. I somehow got into the show, but was amazed at how he sounds the same live as he did on the radio. HLSR is amazing! I would suggest checking it out if you are in Houston in Texas, Feb 27-March 17, 2024. It never disappoints!! The BBQ cook-off, the shows, the rodeo, it is bigger and better in Texas! I am missing home right now!! Thanks for the reaction!! Y'all are an adorable couple, and precious little girls!!
Amarillo is pronounced A-mar-illo. Also the line about the birth of his son in 1981 is about his son Bubba. He used to have an older daughter Jennifer who passed away from a car accident when she was younger
You have a long way to go with George, 60+ number one hits, all gems. "How Bout Them Cowgirls" the live duet with Miranda Lambert will put a smile on your face.
This song really hits home me and my dad never had a good relationship I only remember him telling me he loved me twice in my life once when I was 12 and the day he got married and the day he found out he had cancer but I remember when I was growing up every time this song came on the radio he would sing it to me one of my best memories
This was from a live concert in 1997 at the old Houston Astrodome. It was the farewell concert before they closed the Astrodome down. The Astrodome used to house the Houston Astros baseball team. George had many country music legends there for the concert. I have the CD from that concert.
I always like your blues videos, but King George has been a hero of mine since the 80s. I've been lucky enough to see him in concert 3 times. He never put out a song I didn't like and those were 3 of the best concerts I've ever seen.
I'm gonna say right now... I love your puppy.. what a sweetie... we have 3 beagles.. 1 is a rescue and then we bought 2 brothers ... I love my dogs so much and I can tell your baby is loved also
Growing up in San Antonio TX George was a fixture through out my formative years, never considered my self a lover of country music but you could not grow up in TX and not hear George. Has many hits but loved his later cover of "El Rey".
Among their many positive attributes, Country fans are loyal. On a personal note, thank you for having the volume up on your videos. Best of luck going forward.
The thing I like about George Strait (besides his voice, his 60-some No. 1 hits and his outstanding character) is that he's a real-life cowboy who can rope and ride with the best of them and was once the foreman of one of the biggest cattle ranches in Texas. Nothing make-believe about him.
I love this song, especially the end. It makes my Spirit happy. It affirms Heavenly Father's love for all His children. Thank you for sharing this with us. Huggles Always 🤗💖🍀🙏🦓🇺🇸
I absolutely love this song!! I tear up every time I hear it! What makes it that much sweeter is that he and I share the same beautiful hometown of San Antonio!
Arkansas? Wish I would've seen this yesterday. I live in Central Arkansas and I would've bought you a beer. Love the channel and your reactions are my favorite. Watching you discover all these songs is great.
While in the Air Force in the 80's i went TDY ( temporary Duty ) to a Texas base and while their some f the other NCO's turned e on to King George. I've loved him since. Have a saft trip.
This is one of the quintessential county Daddy song's. I love seeing your beautiful wife join you and I'd definitely support you financially if I could afford it and if God blesses me I will. I'd love to see you both react to the every man in love with "the one" song by George Strait, "I cross my heart,".
Sebas you need to react to George's Strait Amarillo by morning live in Texas with over 100,000 (no lie) in attendance!! It's beautiful 😍 I believe it was earlier this year 2024.
Country music, especially the classics (90s), commonly have a Christian influence or reference which is why you would get the wholesome feels from it. In this one of course it's King George referring to God in heaven as the Father. Can't go wrong with any 90s country! Have you tried any Clay Walker? He's so underrated!
I do remember your first country reaction, I subscribed that night and it's been really fun following your Country music journey!!, Thanks for doing these reactions for us to enjoy!!
Thanks for the message a few days ago….pleased to know it made your playlist….I too travel with work and actually have a an entire George Strait playlist….it’s not really hard to create one when he has over 60 #1 songs
George is known for being called the King of Country. You should check out his song Baby blue, though not confirmed and not written by George Strait, is thought to be in memory of his 13 year old daughter Jennifer who was killed in 1986 by a drunk driver.
Although its not widley known, my favorite of georges 30+ years of songs is called you'll be there. Its a beautiful song. I wanted to share that with you in case you ever wanted to check it out. God bless!

And has never written a song, he isn’t the King
@@jbc_8110why? Because you say so?😂
He’s written and cowritten several…. Do some research…🤔
Seen him in concert free several times in Dallas, Texas. My boss wife was a concert promoter.

George Strait is the literal "King of Country"

Every time I hear this, I think of Jennifer.
Baby Blue

I love this song but it always makes me remember my wonderful father who passed 14 years ago. I miss him, he was an amazing man who just quietly went about getting things done and loved his family fiercely and made sure we all knew it.
Almost three years ago, the Lord called my father home. I sure do miss that man. He was my hero, the greatest man I ever had the privilege to know.
What makes this song doubly special is knowing he lost his 14 year old daughter in a car accident way back in the day. He took a year off of everything and spent the time with his family. He always comes across as such a nice and decent person that I really hated his family had to go through that.
George STRAIGHT is pure country Man ❤country ain't country anymore ❤
Another favorite of mine is "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunne. My father was a plumber and worked a regular job and then side work to put 5 kids through private school and this song reminds me of him.
George is literally the King of Country. Not a bad song from him.
I haven't even watched the reaction yet and am already excited.😊
He isn’t though
Love king George, no bright lights, nothing flashy just some of the best songs ever written
I'm a Brazilian father, and now I crying in my car ,listening this song...wow
I always loved the message in this song, and it means more to me the older I get now that I have four children of my own.
You Look So Good In Love is another good live one to watch as well.
George Strait is a legend. Check out "Amarillo by morning" and "All my exes live in Texas."

I’m always thankful to hear George Strait. He’s the best!
The King! George Straight is so smooth in his delivery... and he's really pretty...💜💜💜
I've always been a George Strait fan. "Amarillo By Morning" is my favorite song.
Ahhhh. Yes. And "Oceanfront Property"!
He's also one of the only artists to claim 50 number one hits in a row.
I was sitting right behind President Bush at this concert. This was at the Houston Astrodome.
Lee Ann Womack wrote an original song for George at his Artist of the Decade concert, called "Just Stand There and Sing". It sums up all he has to do in one of his concerts.
Lets not forget he's likely wearing a George Strait shirt and George Strait wranglers...that kind of OG
There is a reason we call George Strait the King of Country Music.
The Fireman & The Chair are MUST do's for King George!!! He is the just pure country!!! He was in the movie "Pure Country" BTW!!!!
I just has my son 8 months ago. And George strait was his favorite. He would sing along (babbling) and only thing that would put him to sleep.
Can’t wait to see George Strait and Chris Stapleton in Vegas next year

Actually, it’s more like Am-eh-rillo to me
He's from Chile, so he pronounced the name as they would in Chile. Totally understandable.
He gave the correct pronunciation in Spanish. In the song, it's the way we would say it in English. So either way is the correct pronunciation.
❤ I love these two. Their reactions are so cute. I love the fact that you admit that you like country music. ❤
Best King George…I cross my heart.
You have a long way to go with George, 60+ number one hits, all gems. "How Bout Them Cowgirls" the live duet with Miranda Lambert will put a smile on your face.
A big player in my country playlist. Every time it shuffles up I think “Serbs needs to do this one”, and here it is!! Great song, great reaction😍
“So Much Like My Dad” is my favorite Strait song!
Love that everyone is correcting. George is The King Of Country … period
You can't go wrong with a George Strait song!
This song really hits home me and my dad never had a good relationship I only remember him telling me he loved me twice in my life once when I was 12 and the day he got married and the day he found out he had cancer but I remember when I was growing up every time this song came on the radio he would sing it to me one of my best memories
Ali, I fully agree. “Earl” by the Dixie Chicks!😊
King George! He cannot be beat! ❤

I Just love you both! No other words....Just Don't leave EVER! Please!
He made a movie called Pure Country. A lot of music and one of the best love ballads you'll hear.
Appreciate you.
Growing up in San Antonio TX George was a fixture through out my formative years, never considered my self a lover of country music but you could not grow up in TX and not hear George. Has many hits but loved his later cover of "El Rey".
I love this song & I knew Sebs would enjoy it! Sebs is such a good dad.
Among their many positive attributes, Country fans are loyal. On a personal note, thank you for having the volume up on your videos. Best of luck going forward.
Well dang. I spoke too soon. No dixie Chicks. >:-/ Ha.
That's why he's King George ❤

The simplicity of his concerts is just amazing.
Arkansas? Wish I would've seen this yesterday. I live in Central Arkansas and I would've bought you a beer. Love the channel and your reactions are my favorite. Watching you discover all these songs is great.
Love me some country! Brenda from East Tennessee USA.
Saw him in concert in Shreveport several years ago and it was so awesome. Love George Straight so much
Highly recommend George Strait’s ‘Weight Of The Badge’!
Hooray Ali, for mentioning The (Dixie) Chicks "Goodbye Earl" however "Travelin' Solider" would be a great belated Veterans Day reaction.
Great pick!! Been in love with George for years. King of true country!!
While in the Air Force in the 80's i went TDY ( temporary Duty ) to a Texas base and while their some f the other NCO's turned e on to King George. I've loved him since. Have a saft trip.

YES PLEASE! Do Goodbye Earl!😂😂😂
One of my favorite George Strait songs is Troubadour.
Sebas you need to react to George's Strait Amarillo by morning live in Texas with over 100,000 (no lie) in attendance!! It's beautiful 😍 I believe it was earlier this year 2024.
I struggle with time zones too! Don’t feel bad, Ali!
Finally found the King of Country Music.
Wow!!! Hurt was the first reaction I watched on your channel and I have been watching every since
Country music, especially the classics (90s), commonly have a Christian influence or reference which is why you would get the wholesome feels from it. Except I think it's technically Jesus, because the "secret that my daddy said was just between us" would only make sense in that context.
Yay Ali! ❤
Depending on where you are in Arkansas... Johnny Cash's childhood home is in northeast AR.
Big rabbit hole with king George he’s awesome!!
Got me in tears on the first word
Goodbye Earl would be a fun one for you to react to. There's a "jaw drop" moment!
My dad always told me "never start a fight. But, you will finish it "
You guys are just awesome welcome to the real world of country.
I do remember your first country reaction, I subscribed that night and it's been really fun following your Country music journey!!, Thanks for doing these reactions for us to enjoy!!
Thanks for the message a few days ago….pleased to know it made your playlist….I too travel with work and actually have a an entire George Strait playlist….it’s not really hard to create one when he has over 60 #1 songs
best YT couple by far..and you have the best viewer subscriber base on YT too..
George is known for being called the King of Country. You should check out his song Baby blue, though not confirmed and not written by George Strait, is thought to be in memory of his 13 year old daughter Jennifer who was killed in 1986 by a drunk driver.
Always loved this song. Two other great songs with this theme are Conway Twitty "That's my Job" and Ricky Van Shelton's "Keep it Between the Lines"
The Country King !!
The king of country
Seen George many times at the dome back in the day
Best day of my life another great song
Heyyyy I’m from Arkansas! Hope you enjoy it here!
Although its not widley known, my favorite of georges 30+ years of songs is called you'll be there. Its a beautiful song. I wanted to share that with you in case you ever wanted to check it out. God bless!
