  • More behind the scenes from the PFT testing pit!
In this milestone flight, Firefly is performing a 1 hour long hover with Drone Amplified’s IGNIS 4K, carrying 2000 ignition spheres (payload weight ~45lbs). Burning roughly ⅓ of its fuel capacity during this flight, the total take-off weight was 234 lbs.
FYI: If you are curious why we are testing over a net - this is a method to protect the asset during our extreme testing regimens.
Once deployed, Firefly will be able to carry this payload for over 2 hours! This is going to serve as a vital tool for various land management applications, including assisting firefighters on the front line, tactical resupply during active wildfire fights, prescribed burning and more.
*During this test cycle, Firefly is under manual control*

I can understand your point, but I would rather have PFT take their time to perfect the technology prior to it scaling massively. Pushing out a product too fast can result in a damage to a company's image. This tech will be big one day I know it. In due time my friend in due time.
Tesla is a perfect example of this, it took them 12 years after IPO to make crazy figures. From 12 USD to around 1700USD per share before the first split.
