I purchased one after seeing it at the OC Fair here in Orange County Cal. They delivered my bike to my house two weeks after I made my purchased. The sales reps informed me that there was going to be a free upgrade to the rear passenger footpad. They explained that the length of existing footpad was too short and that a small child could accidentally get their foot caught between the rear tire and the footpad. Two weeks later they delivered the upgraded footpad and installed it themselves (pretty good customer support). I stand 6' 4" and weigh 235 lbs. With the seat post adjusted, I have no problem peddling and it is a very comfortable ride. I really like the fact that I can take my granddaughter around town and to the park. This trike definitely gets a lot of attention.

After just doing a multi stop camping trip with my son him on a cargo rack seat and pulling a trailer with our gear. On a 500w 36v bike I knew I needed something better, more power, more torque, chunkier tires, better seating for him and space for storage, this ticks all the boxes, and looks awesome. It's crying out for a 2nd battery or even Extra batteries for a huge range
They do have a dual battery option! So, if range is what you need, they got you covered!

This trike is simular to my trike eand is copyed in several companies xcept on this one is a little longer for passenger. I’ve had mine for several months now .
Cons:
1. Manufacture designed the differential correctly but installed incorrectly on the brake disk. They found out it doesnt work attached to the rear brake disk plus our bike shop said the manufacturer didn’t know to use thread lock and the rear brake disk came apart.
2. Mine came with a 13 ah battery and 750w motor . I have two batteries that with a little peddling I get 21 to 24 mile flat evan terain.
If i don’t peddle I only get 17 miles from each.
Mine Doesnt have e-brake so I use a bungee on brake lever. Yes I agree , it’s a heavey bike even with out passenger it needs 1000w motor and a 48v 20ah battery or two. I like the rear seat on this one in video , just needs to be upgraded .
Also needs way better suspension, even on our nice asphalt trails here in Florida I feel every crack and bump. Evan though i paid the over price of $3300 for my trike , its still fun.
I should have waited though till they got bugs out. ha

The rear differential sounds great
I have a Rattan Challenger ebike I LOVE and I was thinking of this Etrike for me & my 80 year old mom to go to near by stores & appointments in central Florida. We don't need or have a car, and this would be fun & great for a nice day out thrift store shopping or her close by appointments we can sometimes ride to.

You could lay the rear seat-back down, adding sides, for cargo. Must more versatile.
I may have mentioned it in the review (forget because i sure do alot of talking lol) but they’re working on having a detachable seat with quick release so the basket would remain in place. I like the folding seat idea though! That would be quite a bit of surface area for hauling some stuffs!

Absolutely! The newest version has a quick-release backseat, so you can take the seat off, and you still have the basket in the back (it's pretty cool!) A bit heavy, cause it's a hearty seat, but really cool flexibility.

I do a lot of walking around between two buildings (manufacturing production) to keep machinery running. Few has these things, I wanna get a electric one..
Hey Kevin! That would be an excellent idea. I used to be in on the safety side of things in the oil industry, and so there's often times some old rickety trikes, or step-through bikes that engineers will use to get around the site, but having an electric one would be interesting! I guess I would double check that your battery or electronics don't have to be intrinsically safe, but if that's not a factor for you, having one of these would be pretty sweet. Plus, you can either cary gear, or a colleague, if applicable.
Important to me would be speeds throttle only at 4m 10 15, 20m 25 and 30% grades with say a 200 pound rider as well as trhe same with a total of 400 pounds as well as with pefal assist.
Do you post to the uk i have the same kinda trike but mine has thiner tire wheels on it i would like a upgrade to this

I used to use a trike cause I made a sibility. I have several policy so I can get out and ride bikes but so that? That bike might be perfect for me. A friend taught me how to write a 2 Wheeler so I was able to do that at this decade of my life. I should go back 23wheeler

It would be very handy if you could order one without the rear seat, rear basket and footplate. You could then build a cargo box and bolt it to the seat and footplate mounting holes to make a great courier delivery bike. The box could have a door and be lockable to protect the contents when away from the bike making a delivery.
I wonder if you could turn the bench seat around so it's facing backwards, my kids would love it and would keep making fun of my butt crack😅

Alright, so I heard back, and the bench can be rotated, the only difference is there isn't a footrest, so the feet would be dangling. I wonder if you could craft something though...
I’ve just done a year with a 5yo behind me… I can confirm he rather enjoys pushing me off the seat, using my lower back as a hand warmer, generally talking smack to me and other bikers

why is the pedal assist never regenerative?
I know! I think the main reason is the force and speed needed to make the regenerative function worth anything. There was a time in 2021 where lots of bikes were doing it, but it just doesn't have the impact, because of the mechanics of how it works, that the brands were hoping for. I still think if they can get it figured out, or if there was enough mass and speed, that it would be a sweet option for some Ebikes.
They should make trikes to where you can install up to 3 batteries. 2 batteries underneath the rear seat or basket and 1 battery attached to the middle seat or a buit in battery. But the dual batteries underneath the basket should be removable. 2 batteries is good but 3 batteries is better.

I want to inquire about building a custom 4/2.
I have a mid drive drive train and rear wheels system in mind. I would like to add a second battery to build a bike that can do the scenic drive around Oahu and even Diamond Head tours possibly.
The Oahu trip is 96 miles, so I want to plan on a minimum range of 120. I would like to add hydraulic disc brakes.

Hey Robert! Oh Wow is in California. The warehouse I visited was in Fullerton. Ash, the owner, is super hands on and I personally witnessed him put together 2 custom orders for customers over the phone (like he worked with them and put together their desired modifications) so, I highly recommend reaching out to them via their telephone number and seeing what they can do. I was pretty stoked with their level of customer care and working with potential customers!

Hey there! The Oh Wow Guys are pretty open to modifying their models, one of the pluses of their bikes being assembled and sent from their California warehouses. So if that is something you’d want to get, I reckoned reaching out to them and talking with them about the mods.

At least in California, 750 is the max without requiring a license, and a helmet. Not to mention the Certified and checked braking, and lighting etc. you might be able to get two 750’s on it but not sure wether they would allow that.
Why do all tracks have a powered front wheel why not 2 powered rear wheels
You know, I’ve seen some with two powered rear wheels, but a majority are motor up front. Not sure what the pros and cons is on the business/money side.

A front wheel motor to haul a lot of weight is an invitation to break off the front fork stem because of the stress.
You know I've had mine for over a year, usually carry two people on back for most rides, and the front fork is still there ;)
@@Ennovation if you investigate you will find that the front stem of a bike is not designed for the stress of the motor pulling heavy loads and can eventually break off catastrophically possibly causing serious injury. I only want to warn you that it is possible over time. You might consider watching it carefully and replacing the front fork periodically over a few years time. I will also add that the front shock is an additional weakness where the motor can eventually pull off the front end at that weak spot as well.

Unless you plan on riding on smooth flat roads, this bike seems to be underpowered, especially if you are taking it up a hill with two adults sitting in back. A better option would be a 750w Bafang mid-drive motor.
I chatted with the owner about some newer models a few weeks back, and he did mention they are working on something just like that. Super pumped to try it out when they get some in!

A bike like this either needs a 60v 24+ amp hrs and 1500 watt motor or two batteries and two motors. Three adults on this bike will get you about 5 miles per charge.
Depends on the adults weights. 3 average size adults 140-155lbs each would get you way more than 5 miles per charge!
But if you're 3 heavy adults on it of course it won't get as many miles per charge out of it!
Ideally scenario is a average size adult mum or dad riding it and a young kid in the back seat.

Is there a Trike that has both rear and dual back motors?? If yes, please let me know where that is, and how to get one :P That would be wild! For me, I was just so used to rear-wheel or mid-drive motor setups, that it took me a bit to get used to it. But once you do, the differences are pretty subtle. More of a pulling than a pushing.

Can you get a bigger motor ?
I'd like the option to go 62mph or if not that then at least 45mph.
Also, a much larger battery of at least 40Ah. Preferably something that'll offer a minimum 60 miles of range under load for 30 miles each way round trip. Assume a three person plus cargo load of 750lbs
I think that actually works out to something like 1000W motor & 72V/60Ah solid state battery and a wider rear bench
@SpaceCaseZ06 yes, most roads you need at least 45mph unless it's a neighborhood.
@@smallnuts2 and on major city streets with four lanes each way and busier two lane highways, people need 60 to 70 miles per hour. Cities aren't built with roads that are accessible to pedestrians and bicycles. There aren't enough bike lanes or paths to avoid some major roads
Building a bike with the strength and durability or the suspension and safety for 80 to 90 miles per hour would solve the problem😉

Right away I don't like that it doesn't have three hydraulic disc brakes, if you have two people there at 250lb you need you must have at the "minimum 3 disc brakes" it really needs to be on the wheels. It should at least be an option the way it stands now you're going to have to spend at least $300 not including labor.

Their website claims the rickshaw supports max of 264 pounds. Similar models from other companies support 500 pounds. I saw how you tipped it a couple times in the parking lot.
Hey there! It definitely supports more than 264. I think their website might need to be updated to reflect that. I take my wife and son out on it all the time, can still hit top speeds, and it handles really well, and that's about 400lbs right there with us 3. And for the tiping, based on other trikes I've ridden, it's WAY harder to tip! I mean I gotta have some speed and really lean into it. Definitely possible to do, but from my experience that rear-differential is the difference between having something that feels a bit uneasy, and this, that feels pretty solid. There's some trikes I wouldn't go top speed on, but this one I do all the time :P
Most men are close to 200 pounds so it's needs handle more weight .

Only a fool would buy a trike without a differential. Tires would wear out very quickly, most likely in under 500 miles.

750 watts is a joke for an electric bike!
I think the real reason most motors are rated at 750 watts is due to the general electric bike class system, which sees anything at or over 1 horsepower not be considered an electric bike. I'd rather have a 72v, dual 2,000-watt setup myself, but I believe that's what the companies are going for: compliance.
