H3H3 reaction videos got me through a major depression in my mid-20s. I remember it clear as day; I found their channel and over the course of a week I watched every video on their channel. I was with them through the lawsuit, waiting with bated breath for their next upload telling us what was going on. I cried when they made the video saying the judge ruled in their favor. Then, they made a second channel which started off alright. Then they started the podcast and goddamn I tried so hard to stay on board with them but I finally couldn’t take it anymore. Now, years later, I found am finding out just how far they have fallen, Ethan is particular. It’s so fucking sad because I wanted to meet them so badly. Now, I couldn’t care less about meeting them. He seems like a genuinely nasty person. At least I have the memories of the good old days with the OG H3H3.

I agree and I didn't want (this comment to be as long as it is!) or to loose my respect for Ethan, I had seen instances where (mostly before Frenemies) he would speak with a seemingly rational mind and display self awareness and a willingness to have his mind changed and ability to apologize (I saw this only with regard to his staff) I felt increasingly uncomfortable and frustrated at how Ethan allows Trisha to hijack the podcast to spread her malicious lies and to act out in revenge on any previous collaborator (or boyfriend) that she falls out with. Someone commented somewhere (maybe on this thread?) that the relationship with Moses and the drama surrounding it was nothing more than a publicity stunt devised and created by Ethan, Hila and Moses. That comment made sense to me, I had a feeling I couldn't quite explain but I felt like there was something about Moses that didn't fit with him choosing a girl who is so shallow materialistic nagging self involved self obsessed self righteous entitled controlling domineering emasculating manipulative narcissistic lacking in empathy problematic socially inept and socially unaware! Yeah that's a mouthful! She is easily offended by anything she perceives as criticism or an insult and that depends on her mood at any given time, what she will find funny and true about herself will often change into the most "disgusting" "hurtful" "mean" "unfair" treatment she's ever endured. due to deep seated issues arising from mental disorders - not a judgement about mental disorders, I have it in the family and have anxiety disorders so I'm just stating what I believe I'm seeing in her behaviour because so much of it is exactly like the behaviour of Borderline Personality Disorder and Narcissistic personality Disorder. The reason why she falls out with people is because she's irritating, first up, she's easily intimidated jealous and in competition with everyone around her, she lashes out at people when she knows she's no longer the centre of attention, she's unable to regulate her emotions and refuses to take any responsibility for her behaviour but will instead direct all of the blame and wrongdoing on everyone else, people ... open your eyes and ears! She does this consistently! When she knows she's gone too far bitching and criticizing she will over compensate by giving compliment after compliment in an overly sweet and sickly patronising way, especially when she wants to look like a supportive and kind girlfriend or in the case of Ethan with some passive aggressive compliments that start with a painfully excitable high tone of voice (over acting) then quickly end in a low tone and a rolling of the eyes then a complete turnaround and contradiction ... Compliment + Putdown all in one breath. It makes you shudder, and makes anyone around feel uneasy. If you are lucky enough to have never encountered people like this in real life interactions you might not get that feeling in your gut although humans are wired to respond to non verbal cues like this, we do it unconsciously, that off feeling you sometimes pick up from someone is a red flag, it's our brain alerting us to a situation that isn't what it seems, which could be a potential threat, a throwback from our hunter gatherer days. I think many people online see only the surface of Trisha and the thin facade that she portrays of herself they don't want to see anything deeper, they don't care to, (having said this there are plenty who see right through her BS) she makes some people feel ok about having the same fixation on the pursuit of fame and celebrity status and ok about ganging up on a chosen target, creating a cancel culture and mob mentality, the very things that are condemned by so called social justice warriors are carried out en masse by them in the comments section. "Trisha's so real" "she's so relatable" really? Everything about her is fake, she admits it. and what's so relatable? The temper tantrums, fits of rage and emotional meltdowns? Just because she has verbal diarrhea and talks about herself incessantly and is unable to censor herself doesn't mean she's open and honest. OK, that was a massive rant. Because the US election happened and the entire internet wouldn't stop talking about Trump. Also UA-cam for whatever reason decided to flood everyone's recommendations with social commentary and political videos. That doesn't really happen anymore because most political content gets de-monitized to the point it's nonviable to run a political UA-cam channel anymore. Pretty much everything politics related on UA-cam has moved on to podcasts or makes profit from other sources.
Also 2016 wasn't a golden year, it was full on armchair political degeneracy that culminated in the US electing a populist and suffering for the past 4 years for it (8 years if current trends are anything to go by..)
I can't understand how Ethan has amassed such an audience that has enabled him to become so rich and famous. New York times released the analysis showing the richest Americans pay much less taxes than they used to decades ago and pay less percentage wise than everybody else. Richest Americans used to pay 50% of their income to taxes, but now they pay less than middle class and power income bracket. The percentage of income going to taxes has dropped below 20 percent even though nobody else's has fallen as much.
Anybody saying someone is "obsessed" with them is immediately a red flag for me. Tells me there's a lot more going on that I need to find out.

As much as I dislike Ethan, Bill Burr was kind of an asshole for no reason in regards to the family thing. You can literally just go to wikipedia and it will tell you about his family. Ethan just isn't entertaining as a personality. He only works when he is playing a character. His biggest mistake was thinking people wanted to watch him when in reality it was the character he had created they wanted.
Yep. He needs to accept that he's become very successful and needs to reinvent himself as a role model for those who want a peek into his new life. But this will inevitably lead to a decline in viewers compared to the past, bearing in mind he's also getting older and out of date with the new, younger talent coming in.

Right like imagine forming an opinion and then sharing it, it's not like people are going to disagree or anything, that never happens.
The problem is, he used to be kind of funny when he'd put people on blast. And the people that he put on blast he WAS IN A POSITION to claim the moral high ground: because he was putting people like fuckin Joey Salads and SoFlo on blast for their racist, pandering, socially irresponsible videos. Because they DESERVED to be put on blast.
So, he was used to being in this position of HAVING the moral superiority over these people, because he DID, because they were being pieces of shit. So it went to his head you are 100% correct, and it is understandable to an extent why, when you think of it all in context.
So now, instead of doing videos which were AT LEAST FUNNY (as well as blasty sometimes, to be fair), he just makes another shitty podcast, and quite frankly he is a TERRIBLE host who has seemingly not developed an ability to have interesting conversations which aren't completely one sided and boring. This is an actual TALENT, listening and asking questions, that an INTERVIEWER/HOST should have, and he either lacks it completely, or has done nothing to develop it. But it makes his podcast just awful in my opinion, because he's this swollen head dude talking about shit that ISN'T ALWAYS SO BLACK AND WHITE, but he seems to not actually address any real issues on anything other than surface level humor or observations. He's no Joe Rogan or Dave Chappelle, thats for sure, and I only say this because its clear that's the vein he's trying to be in.
In all honesty, now he's just ended up naked and jacking it in San Diego, its really embarrassing.....

The best moment of their podcast was when they had Logic on. Hila is eye-fucking Logic the whole time and giggling in a flirtatious way that she never happens with Ethan. She was star-struck, and Ethan was clearly uncomfortable. I'm not even a fan of Logic but it was so painful to watch. I actually felt bad for Ethan.

A conservative commentator and comedian Steven Crowder saw that clip and reacted to it by remarking about how dangerous and stupid it is to blindly follow authority figures without thinking and coming to a conclusion themselves. Mud was sort of slinged between them for a couple of weeks until Ethan messaged Steven on social media to have a one on one debate live over their points of disagreement to which Steven accepted. When it came to the live streamed debate, Ethan and Steven dtarted out talking to each other respectfully, even talking about sensitive topics like how Steven's wife had recently had a miscarriage. Ethan then pulled up a progressive political commentator Sam Sedar to debate Steven instead of debating him himself. They just slinged more mud at each other for a couple of minutes before Steven hung up and ending the livestream because he agreed to debating Ethan and Ethan used an underhand trick to get someone else to debate him in bad faith. Ethan then proceeded to declare himself the victor and was trash talking Steven on social media. The general publics reaction was either that Steven was a coward for refusing to debate Sam or Ethan was a coward for lying to Steven about debating him one on one and sneaking someone else to debate him in his place.
TL;DR: Ethan tried tricking Steven Crowder into debating Sam Sedar and declared himself the winner when Steven refused.

Here's my 2 cents on the whole thing. Ethan is comparable to Jon Jafari in the sense that both are comedians and both delved into politics at one point and ended up in radical areas. Jon however, had the sense to understand "I am not good at this. I fire from the hip in terms of virtually everything and I'm not great at research. I'm bowing out." Ethan on the other hand...was just as bad, but didn't have the good sense to do that, he just went "I'm tapped out when it comes to comedy, so I'll just stick with this since its trending."
He became everything he criticised. His fame is a mystery. I guess his kin pushed him and still do.
