I am tired of whites getting offended over this. It was distastesful but he wasn't calling that word anybody specific. He wasn't using it as a derogatory term. That's why he thought he could say it. I think we all know Ethan is not a racist. The word is not a forbidden word you have it in books, movies it's crazy that you can't reference it in like a discussion in public. Nword should be banned in a situation when somebody who's not black is calling a black person that word. In every other way it should be allowed. Word is an insult only when it's meant as an insult. Everything else you are just being overly sensitive.

The main thing about youtubers, especially podcasts, is that there's something being built, there's recurrent themes, internal jokes. Sometimes the context of something said is not just in that single video, is a body of work.
Abso-fricken-lutely, the whole point Goka made on Jimmy Lee was so bad, most of the H3 podcast fan base at the time were still fans from their main channel and knew who Jimmy Lee was, so their interaction on the podcast was based on previous interactions on their other channel. Re-watching the Goka video along with Ethan you realise how many points he made were moot or speculation presented as fact.
Furthermore, take any podcast host and try to tell me that they were a great host straight out the gate.

Joe Kerr basically, to add to Brad’s point about context and a body of work, Asman mentioned that this episode is reminiscent of Endgame, bringing in familiar faces from episodes past, coming together to defend Ethan, like the heroes came in to defend reality, humanity, and the world in Endgame. Also, like Endgame, if you’ve watched every episode of the Podcast, this video is better, knowing all of the context from the past. Though it’s comprehensive on its own as well (more similarly to Infinity War in that regard, but Endgame in the others). I love this video. Feels like a lot of hanging dread and weight from mistakes of old have been righted. Plot lines fulfilled, and Ethan’s character has grown so much over the course of the podcast. He’s willing to own up to his mistakes, and he calls people out for their bullshit when they get it wrong. He’s a human being who makes mistakes, he doesn’t talk down to anyone who doesn’t warrant it like Gokanaru did, he doesn’t deflect criticism and say, “it’s all lies!” Like Keem, he owns up to some criticism, dispels others because they’re opinions and speculation, and defends himself when someone lies about him in an attempt to “assassinate” his character. Gokanaru took the shot, but his arrow was broken, and his arguments missed at nearly every turn, built on selective truth and assumption, coming off as an edge lord on his high horse, speaking of shut he knows nothing about like it’s the truth. So many people clamber to this video as defense when criticizing H3 and Ethan, and now that he’s addressed it, he’s proved them all wrong. He can take criticism, and he’s not a manipulative devil like Gokanaru said. Don’t tell someone else how to live their life, as if you could’ve lived it better for them. This is the end of a chapter in Ethan’s life, and a conclusion to some loose ends.

All the information was readily available for Gokanaru and yet he still managed to get alot of details wrong. That means that Gokanaru either didnt do his proper research or he intentionally omitted information to fit his narrative.

I’ve always found the criticism that Ethan is greedy for focusing on the podcast over the main channel because it makes more money so funny. This is his job and its not greedy to focus on the podcast, where he can make a stable living and not rely on UA-cam’s ads, its just common sense especially now that he has a child to take care of.

Most of my time on UA-cam is spent on technical channels related to my field, but I like to work with some of these entertainment channels running. Opening comment sections on stuff like this is astounding and completely different to what’s found in content that requires some semblance of understanding or legitimate curiosity to even engage the comments sections with any success. I used to wonder how that contrast was even possible and then I saw footage of the typical fan that freaks out over Keemstar or ____ Paul and then I learned that high-pitched Xbox live kids do indeed exist after they’ve signed off. Many even age into legal adulthood, and “growing up” as a synonym for both aging and maturing shows it’s flaws; since those of unjustified confidence believe doing the first is a guarantee of the second. It’s a mega bummer to see.

It's a vicious cycle when you judge others then u get judged too, he was one of the funniest, but that's the risk of the game, he did some great comedy and it's still making me laugh. People put u on a pedestal and then kill u the next moment, but he survived with all his shit and some bad shit he did and i am happy for him that he got successful

I KNOW he’s still here! he’s just...never uploaded to the same extent as what he used to. ever since back in the day when he was the co-creator of Game Grumps, i just knew he’s constantly been given the short end of the stick. someone like PewDiePie, he’s got enough of a following and an influence on this platform that no amount of drama would ever seriously effect him.
