For breakfast every day I eat a concoction of steelcut oats and quinoa with added flax meal, hempseed, and chia, plus I flavor it with a pumpkin pie spice blend I buy quite cheaply organic and in bulk bags (a pound for average $20 lasts a few months). I also like to add organic nonfat milk powder with no added salt, but like the spices isn't really necessary, more a taste and preference thing. Porridge batch makes 12 servings, so nearly two weeks of breakfasts. I freeze Kirkland (Costco) organic supergreena (kale, spinach, chard) to make blending and compacting with other foods easy, but mostly I just add a third of the bag to a serving of the oat-quinoa porridge, along with organic frozen strawberries, blueberries, and mango, sometimes banana, depending on where I buy them (Wymans is not certified organic but in fact are actually better than organic for their traditional practices). So basically my daily breakfast is an unblended version of your basic smoothie recipe with the addition of the oatmeal, quinoa, and spices. In order to reduce the microwave time since cooking destroys many nutrient molecules, I've taken to assembling three days worth at a time in glass loaf pans with lids (Pyrex) The bags of greens divide perfectly that way, and placing them in the fridge to defrost until ready means minimal thought and effort first thing in the morning. Really, making the smoothie would retain the maximum nutrient content, but we're counter space limited and there's really no chance I'll ever habitually clean a blender to store away daily. Besides, breaking up the foods' cell walls speeds up sugar uptake rather than spread it over a few hours, so it's a trade off which works best for anyone.

We all have our individual problems, but eat foods in a natural state. I've been eating carnivore strictly for 3 months and I'm seeing great results all around and managing my AS. Red meat, meat, in general, is not inflammatory, saturated fat is not bad for you, what is bad for you are carbohydrates, that's ALL carbohydrates whether refined or the ones you find in fruit and vegetables, you need to focus on drastically limiting them.
This is the best top information I have seen on utube. Just wish YOU had a following...Thank you. I follow a gluten free dairy free diet and felt great. Then my hip had an achy feeling daily. Finally after a month of this I gave up red meat. With in three days pain was fifty percent better. Now I am on day seven. Almost gone.
Red meat is one of the healthiest most nutrient dense sources of food you can possibly eat. The various homo- species ate meat exclusively for over 2 million years - up until extremely recently. If meat was so bad for us we wouldn't be where we are. Our digestive systems are literally designed for meat - from our sharp teeth - to our very acidic stomachs - all the way to our short colons. Being able to eat vegetables is a last ditch effort and a survival mechanism - not ideal. You can run into problems when you mix red meat with a bunch of other foods you shouldn't be eating (especially fructose or alcohol). Stopping red meat may improve symptoms for the short term but overall not the answer. As crazy as this may sound, you'd be better served by cutting everything else out and eating ONLY red meat. There is a lot of misinformation and bad "science" out there. It took me 10 years to learn this the hard way.
Wow, amazing presentation.I have a friend who's only 56 and suffering from Parkinson's, Dimension, and RA all at the same time.It happened one after the other in a proses of 2 years. I buy whole flax seeds and mill them in coffee grinder, for ex, to add to (non-dairy) yogurt, home-made granola, fruit salads, salads, frozen banana “ice cream” and soups & cooks veggies (at last minute). Lasts longer than oil that turns rancid quickly so refrig storage is a good option.
Apple cider vinegar, lemon, green leafy 🥬 can make own smoothies too..coconut oil, chia seed, flaxseed too many have a lot choices in food..avoid spicy food too more herb in food using ginger, tumeric, black pepper, garlic, capsicum can add up to the food you cook.
@@voicelesslanguages the pepper herb you have to mix it with tumeric then only b good to eat it.. but if you allergic then took it with lemon and ginger.. all herb must come by partner when using it .. When I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, my mother made one meal for the family for dinner (there was eight of us) and we ate it or went hungry. We didn't get to choose what we wanted for dinner. No such luck.
My smoothie. Pumpkin seeds serving size. Blended. Canned pumpkin, serving size. Added with Greek non fat / no sugar / fruit - yogurt. Blended with cinnamon. Another one that I might try. Water, some lemon juice, some ACV, a tbsp of olive oil. For a morning cocktail. And on a empty stomach. Fishy taste w/ Omega 3? Freeze 'em, then take them.
What would be alternatives for diabetics who are also on vitamin D3, long term therapy of both warfarin and prednisone? It's difficult to even find a vitamin supplement if one is on warfarin, due to multivitamins containing Vitamin K.
Really enjoyed the presentation. Great information. I took pictures of the food recommendation and was very surprise at the amount of veggies you need to help fight with inflammation.
I’m sorry to tell you but it is vegetables 🌽 that causing the inflammation because it has oxalates in them, they are little needles that poke at your organs to protect themselves from being eaten. reseach oxalates to find the truth that most ppl are not aware of because this is something the food industry doesn’t want us to know because it is a multi billion dollar industry. Dr ken Berry on youtube will explain it the best.
@@ketolife591 Do you have other sources? And who has funded their research? Check out nutrition.org for an insight into research studies showing the benefits of the foods under study. Sorry to tell you these studies are usually funded by the industries themselves. Milk studies-it does the body good-usually funded by dairy industry organizations.
@@JillofAllTrades2 I can't speak for that person and I don't believe oxalates are the only reason. The reasons are much more extensive and complicated than just oxalates. I've had a chronic spondyloarthropathy for 22 years (ReA). I did a very strict "healthy diet" of fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, nuts, and salmon for the better part of 10 years. (and many variations in search of relief). I clung to this fresh-organic-pescatarian-based style of eating because I had it stuck in my head that it was the only way to eat healthy - despite my health continually declining in every metric. "Natural aging" I thought, nothing I can do about it. This was an unfortunate result of being bombarded with bad science and food marketing nonsense my entire life. (amazing how prolific it is). I haven't eaten a single vegetable in over 15 months and it's like I've been born again. My body composition is back to what it was when I was a teenager before I had an AI issue. I'm 40 years old and have a 6 pack without even trying?!?! My A1C is at a healthy level for the first time since I started having it checked over a decade ago. My hs-crp is the lowest it's ever been. Blood pressure was last 112/69. My laundry list (and believe me it was a long nasty list) of gastrointestinal issues - 100% resolved. Completely off all medications including topical steroids for psoriasis. It's all so unbelievable that if it wasn't happening to me I wouldn't believe it. I do find the messages that Dr. Ken Berry advocates to be accurate. Same with Dr. Kevin Stock. Dr. Paul Saladino, Dr. Shawn Baker, etc.. In hindsight there is an overwhelming mountain of information out there that supports my personal findings - you just have to look. The food & medical industry are not going to spoon feed it to you like they do their sugar and insulin.
While diet is important, it all starts with breathing. If there is only one book you ever read, make it Breath by James Nestor. The new science of a last art. You can got without food for days, water for a day or two, but only minutes without air, yet most of us are not breathing properly.

I wonder if there has been a study done on organic red meat vs non organic red meat ? Logic says there must be a difference. Plus, what is in red meat specifically that causes the inflammation spoken of here. Who knows. I’m not a scientist. 😊 If anyone has an article on this please link here. Also, what’s inflammatory to one person is not inflammatory to others. So there’s that.
Commercial grain fed beef, unbalanced omegas - inflammatory. Grass fed organic beef has much better omega3 to 6 ratio and is not inflammatory to MOST people unless there's another underlying problem.

its 2020 this video needs to be updated. dairy is extremely acidic there for extremely inflammatory all animal products are all acidic there for extremely inflammatory . there's only 2 sides of chemistry acid base and alkaline base use science to eliminate all acid foods. alkaline foods consist of veggies and fruits basically real foods. eliminate all animal based foods even fish is acidic on a chemistry level Id write more but im in a hurry. blessed be
Agreed, but do note that almost all fruit is acid as well. Only ripe bananas and dates are alkaline, and citrus is alkalizing during conversion in the body. However, some people don't convert the acid, and so it remains acid in their system.
It took years and years of elimination-testing other foods, but finally I figured out that allium (onions, garlic, chives, leeks, etc) cause me GI problems and general inflammation. Like gluten, it's nearly impossible to avoid it and most plant-based recipes depend on them for flavor. I also happen to be allergic to rubber latex and last count I heard scientists had found fifteen different protein allergens in it that have analogs in classes of food; however I have never confirmed an analog allergen. I HATE papaya, so maybe it's that class and I'm comfortable with that. :)
They're not lies. I figured it out for myself, and it took years precisely because allium intolerance is uncommon. For most people garlic and onion are fantastic antiinflammatories. For those of us intolerant, it causes more harm than good. My whole life changed when I finally figured it out in my 40s. Suddenly I didn't have diarrhea multiple days of the week, could sleep through the night without restless legs, no longer had desperate need for a nap after meals, eliminated nearly all my heartburn, and reduced my frequency of headaches. I occasionally indulge in, say, Indian buffet or Thai food, but always midday with some ibuprofin so that the the most uncomfortable symptoms fade enough that I'll be able to sleep through the night. I always have to take a nap after a meal with onions or garlic, too.
I was eating a lot of mini oranges and lemon on food I had lots of Inflammation then told citrus can cause this so stopped eating the improvement was amazing 😻
I was eating lots of oranges/ & citrus from my mother's trees. Unfortunately, I had to cut them out because I've been trying to figure out what's causing my eczema. I hope it's not the oranges.
And also I have heard that pregnancy puts autoimmune diseases into remission?!?!? Hmmmm cuz when I was pregnant 5x it literally was when I felt the best!!

Anyone know where I can read on phone about leaky gut ? Now I wonder besides chronic pancreatitis and nafld and bloating so bad so much pain everytime I eat even with creon 72 ,000 everytime I eat anything I go 2 or 3 days without eating but still bloat up with pain
That’s basically me right now. I’m bloated and back pain stomach pain not constant but moves around at any given time. Seems to bother me more when I lay down trying to go to sleep which I already have insomnia but now it’s worse. Eating bad oil in some garlic dip got me in some bad back pain and went to my neck. Started to get better in about 3-4 days and then Ate some fresh salmon in a little olive oil and put me back to the start of all that pain. I’m eating good and praying it will get better on it’s own with my help of eating healthy.
Have you heard of Dr Eric Berg or Dr John Bergman? They have good video’s on leaky gut. Dr Berg will have shorter video’s on it and there’s also Dr Sten Ekberg who makes many informative video’s. I wish I lived by some of these Drs so they could help diagnose all my issues and help me get better. I was just diagnosed with leaky gut but there’s more stuff they found in my bloodwork BUT the Dr wants $4,800 to help me any further. I don’t have that kind of money!! ☹️
Many experts suggest Slippery Elm can cure leaky gut. Slippery Elm rebuilds/strengthens the mucus barrier that prevents food cells in your gut lining from leaking into your blood stream. This confuses your immune system that thinks it's an invader and your blood circulates throughout your body. Many people have a leaky gut but don't know because they don't feel pain in their gut. It's caused by eating junk foods. This condition eventually leads to obesity, diabetes, R Arthritis and other chronic diseases. Slippery Elm helps with waste disposal too. I found Slippery Elm cured my problem in this area. Google Slippery Elm. Beef broth (boiled beef bones ) is also another common recommendation. Start with a low dose for a few days and gradually increase. I am not a doctor.
Pesticides and chemical additives may be the common factor ....so we can literally debunk foods acc our BIAS. The ubiquitous cola drinks containing Phosphoric acid is a notorious CALCIUM DEPLETOR...
I was listening until you stated your information on meat, and then I stopped listening because you made no distinction between commercial meats which are loaded with hormones, preservatives, and chemicals compared to organic, grass fed, free range meats which are rich in vitamins and minerals that we can’t get from other sources. I am afraid I can not agree that consumption of red meat causes disease. We have been eating meat since time in memorial. Processed meat as consumed in the USA might be an issue but grass fed meat is healthy.
Iv had lower back pain for years, it's always came and gone...iv had a bad dose of it for the last few days and I'm at the top of the rabbit hole for newly discovered A.S. .The symptoms are lining up. But one thing iv inadvertently discovered for the last few years is my diet/eating certain foods has coincidentally occurred with my back pain. I wouldn't sign up to idea that red meat has impacted my pain, imo its an unprocessed/natural food. The Red meat and cancer link has been debunked too lately. Saturated fat is not linked with heart disease either. Vegetables are not superfoods...most of the nutrients in Veg is not bioavailable to humans unlike animal foods. Plus the fact they have anti-nutrients such as oxalates in the likes of kale and other greens
I was wondering about this too. No mention of anti-nutrients in vegetables whatsoever. Currently struggling with arthritis (spa) since a couple of months. And doing a extreme elimination diet to see what works. After a month of carnivore my symptoms improved a lot! Going to add more vegetables now and maybe switch to a vetegarian diet to see if this makes any difference. Too bad the carnivore/vegan diets are so polarizing. People go nuts if you're vegan, people go nuts if you're carnivore. We'll see what works!

Would recommend to all before taking this to heart do your own research, see what others have to say.
Agreed

Make sure when you buy and store your flax seed oil it comes from a refrigerator and is kept in the refrigerator not on the shelf

@@jcarleezy if you don’t eat vegetables what do you eat? I’m pescatarian so can’t imagine that there’d be much left for me to eat.

Maybe because his iron levels were low? It's not new news that red meat cause inflammation. It doesn't mean that it can't help his joints, it just means it can cause other issues. I get my iron from legumes, nuts, seeds, and some vegetables.
His iron’s always been good . How can we get the slides?
It took years and years of elimination-testing other foods, but finally I figured out that allium (onions, garlic, chives, leeks, etc) cause me GI problems and general inflammation. Like gluten, it's nearly impossible to avoid it and most plant-based recipes depend on them for flavor. I also happen to be allergic to rubber latex and last count I heard scientists had found fifteen different protein allergens in it that have analogs in classes of food; however I have never confirmed an analog allergen. I HATE papaya, so maybe it's that class and I'm comfortable with that. :)
All are just lies, nothing can cure or cure the disease. Everyone knows that the most powerful anti-inflammatory is garlic and onions.
Look into dr. Joel Wallach. He's known all this stuff for years
