Exactly what I was looking for. A white car that slightly shimmers under direct sunlight with a hue a pink or purple or other color. The recipe of this video is going to be the one for my next car.
@@vitor900000 videos dont do pearls justice, plus its with a white base and its a WHITE colorshift. My 3k isnt plastidipped but its a white base with a silver metallic/pearl on top and in the shade its just flat white but when the sun hits it people tell me its almost entirely silver. When i go to chik fil a on sunny days they always put down silver coupe instead of white. Need to see these in person to fully appreciate the color
Essentially like almost all the colors they have apart from silver, black and this white!!! All the blues, greens, yellows, reds and oranges look awful! It’s so disappointing!
I'm just an artist, and used to help my dad customize vans back in the 70's, but this is so cool to see the wild mixing challenges with today's color shift products. I have only seen one that didn't turn out so well, but still professionally dipped! The rest are straight up unique and intreguing.
I'm glad you guys made a video on the very mixture i wanted to do on my Audi. I didn't think the items you guys suggested were going to give out the effect i wanted. Actually gonna purchase the kit now.
Several years late, but this is something that would be perfect for a horse trailer without adding dark color that would absorb heat. Make it subtly unique and pretty without going crazy.
Video does no justice, VERY hard to capture in photo/video but i promise you...I have seen this is person and its insanity. Just looks like a satin white car when its sitting in the shade, but late in the afternoon with the sun hitting in from mostly the side... SHIT. the whole car looks chamelon of some sort. Looking forward to dipping my Kawasaki ZX10R this color soon!!
Just did this on my 2006 G35 sedan, I used 50 grams of the blue interference pearl(KP Pigments) per gallon of top coat and got the same subtle effect out of two coats over 5 coats of PDS White.
Hey Fonzie, great color ! BTW, I am a photographer, and just curious if you have tried using a polarizing filter on your video camera ??? You might be totally amazed at how much more those subtle colors jump out at you ! Might help a bunch when filming some of your other pearl coated too.
I had a off white cream colored Nissan Maxima and it had this pearl paint on it. It was gorgeous at night I'd drive into gas station and I'd always have people coming over to ask me how and where I got my car painted I had no idea! When I bought the car I hadn't even noticed it had this paint on it I just thought it had done kind of glitter what a surprise I had when night time came and all the pearls shimmered! It had a lot of purple in it with swirls of pink and blue I miss that car I can't wait to get another and get the same paint job on it! It looks amazing on that cream color,Thanks for sharing!
Back in 87-92ish my neighbor had a white E30 M3 and every morning I’d get in my car and go to work and his car would be sitting in the driveway. As you would pass by the morning sun would shimmer off all the body lines a pinkish purple pearl. Still remember it now 30yrs later. Car always made me look and it looked like a normal white car until you passed by and the light shifted.
Is there any way to do this as black, with a very subtle purple sheen? Doing a true "raven" paint job on a motorcycle. I want it to barely be noticeable that it has purple sheen. Just a hint of " it's not black, it's raven purple..
I’d love to see a deep black dip with red color shifting pearl so that it looked black until hit with direct sunlight and the high points would shimmer slightly red.
nice. i used to have an '82 corvette painted white with pearl white flames down the hood and front fenders. they were invisible until just the right lighting and angles and BAMM! gold, orange, yellow, blue and purple flame ends just exploded out of the paint. ive always wanted to do a similiar paint job on something else. i guess you can lay graphics down using this system just like regular paint?
I'd like to paint muskie fishing lures like this in a whitefish pattern. Whitefish are a silver-white color baitfish that shimmer with pinks, purples, and silver.
So it's basically Ford's tri-coat platinum white that I have on my truck with slightly more pop of color. Park that under one of those purple led parking lot lights you'll see a really neat color pop.
Nice video can't beat seein it in person thou. I had a 2001 dodge dakota sport that was intense blue. It had white pearl in it from the factor, it would change from the blue to a green or purple depending on the light and the way you looked at it. I've always been a fan of pearl over metallic.
Yes, you can use Gold Interference Pearl to achieve a similar look but with a Gold hue: www.dipyourcar.com/collections/dip-pearls/products/gold-interference
My fireblade has this as paint. Looks white at a distance but when in sunshine the angles pop blues, reds, orange, purple and green. The wheels are black but have the shifting effect too.
We need this color is a HYPERSHIFT, I have a this exact setup white base coat with RL-71 on top but I was a more DRAMTIC effect‼️ so I ordered ZTA and blue interface and going to mix thos together and see what I get so in total there's going to be 3 different pearls😂
Hey boss just out of curiosity, could y'all do a few more cars with a white base coat? I know Lamborghini uses a white base coat for their yellows and oranges. White base for pearls done right look incredible. Just a thought, Love y'all's product.
As soon as I saw the pearl enter the bucket, I wondered "is that what unicorn piss would look like"? After all, they fart rainbows, so probably piss this.... Stunning lol
Question. If your facfory colour is white, and you want to DIY a satin pearl, can you just use a clear satin base with the pearl pigments, or do you have to put a white dip base first, then the clear satin pearl?
boostindub exactly what I was saying it's a waste on a white car isn't it. It barley shows. Can u image u pay like few idk couple of 1000 dollars just for this😱 hells nooo. If I wanna have an effect it better fucking shows dude!😂😅
Question: If you continue to clear coat, to wet sand, to a high gloss like that of the old school 70's ski boats.....Will that kill the shift effect or feed it steroids?
This is pretty dope, do you think that the pearls are more concentrated at the bottom of slopes due to it settling? I didn't see much shifting on the flat surfaces near the top like the hood, so it seems like the pearls are settling downstream. Just a thought and something to take into account.
I thought that too, but watching again, I think it's just that the bottom of the slopes are kind of edges, and that's what the sunlight was bouncing off - and that's really the only place you'll see colorshifting with such a subtle setup.
my man this color is so sick but come come we need that in California to am tired of just looking all this sick colors but we cant get them in Cali ehats up with that lol great job keep it up
Yup. Ghost pearls, interference, even just plain iridescent if it's a fine enough mesh. They can all be used to great effect... Though I prefer using this sort of effect for stuff like ghost flames, etc. Sure, flames are tacky, but hey, you're trying to show off with stuff like this anyway, right?
Not bad guys. I just painted my girls car the same thing white base, chameleon ghost pearl, and clear coat. during the day the colors pop HARD and at night the car looks pearl white until head lights hit.
Is there any way to create a super epic super shiny Silver with black details? It is hard to describe but Silver colors which have black notes in it are super epic to highlight cars with more edges and are not as overused as matte dips rn
i have a 98 ford high top disabled van want it painted pearl white with a clear coat of Rainbow pearl Esence have seen this down before was very nice what do you think
i was wondering on your gun that you were using. it looks something like a wagner gun that hooks up to a Shop Vac or compressor. if it is then that is a trip.
Exactly what I was looking for. A white car that slightly shimmers under direct sunlight with a hue a pink or purple or other color. The recipe of this video is going to be the one for my next car.
Looked better in the bucket than it does on the car .
yep... it looks like white with blue/green glitter

Its like highlight but for your car
Lmao yess
I'm glad you guys made a video on the very mixture i wanted to do on my Audi. I didn't think the items you guys suggested were going to give out the effect i wanted. Actually gonna purchase the kit now.
It looks so enchanting when it’s in the bucket swirling around 😍

UgandaBeShitnMe when you do take pic and show us
So your gonna waste money spraying this shit on a mini bike!
UgandaBeShitinMe!
Robert Touchstone when has a 1000cc bike been a mini bike?
Robert Touchstone shit son I'm gonna put this on my gas frame motorized bicycle. Yeah wtf is wrong with that!? Jive turkey
Love it! Elegant and classy white, but when you get up close its flashy and cool.
Just did this on my 2006 G35 sedan, I used 50 grams of the blue interference pearl(KP Pigments) per gallon of top coat and got the same subtle effect out of two coats over 5 coats of PDS White.
I love it how when your are mixing the paint the water colorshifts too, its so beautiful.
Emiliano Santini my name is Emiliano too
high five dude!

No filters
😂😂

That pearl that GM used on them 2005 Buick LeSabre celebration edition is the best looking pearl in my opinion
Put 10 more bags in pls.
Nissan already made this color. Pikes Peak Pearl White. Had an 08 350Z that color. Absolutely loved it.
PLEASE DO THIS AGAIN BUT WITH BLACK BASE!!!!!! That would be EXACTLY what I would want for my car!

Reminds me of the snowflake white pearl my car came from the factory with, except with a mild colorshift to it.
I like it.

GAU-8 Sounds sick!
its definetely possible, my friemds dad mixes paint for a living, his trunk hood and top are all pretty much the same color youre describing
I want to do this on my 1972 Mack truck. Will be in touch.
That is almost exactly how my Wrangler looked after I painted it back in 2011, absolutely love it.
Now THAT is class. Beautiful. This vid is before the time you started your 1-5 scale voting, but I give this one my first ''5'', anyway.
I’d love to see a deep black dip with red color shifting pearl so that it looked black until hit with direct sunlight and the high points would shimmer slightly red.
I think that you have to be so close to the car to see those colorshifts, but still so beauty.
Sharup ! Whites too bright in the sun, looks a lot better when sun is down
nice. i used to have an '82 corvette painted white with pearl white flames down the hood and front fenders.

Wow didnt think pearls could get any better... Definetly buying
reminds me of Lexus' pearl white . . . aka amazing. Good job, guys!
I'd like to paint muskie fishing lures like this in a whitefish pattern. Whitefish are a silver-white color baitfish that shimmer with pinks, purples, and silver.
Similar to the color of my solara. this appears to have a little more sparkle to it. I love it.
So it's basically Ford's tri-coat platinum white that I have on my truck with slightly more pop of color. Park that under one of those purple led parking lot lights you'll see a really neat color pop.
I think a deep purple pinstripes. Would look cool on it too.
Nice video can't beat seein it in person thou. I had a 2001 dodge dakota sport that was intense blue. It had white pearl in it from the factor, it would change from the blue to a green or purple depending on the light and the way you looked at it. I've always been a fan of pearl over metallic.
I saw a Maserati about a year ago with a very similar paint job and it was GORGEOUS in person. I'd love to do something like this.
You can!
+DYC Customer Service ok now do you guys have this but with gold flakes instead of the blue color? If so I'm sold
Yes, you can use Gold Interference Pearl to achieve a similar look but with a Gold hue:
www.dipyourcar.com/collections/dip-pearls/products/gold-interference
My fireblade has this as paint. Looks white at a distance but when in sunshine the angles pop blues, reds, orange, purple and green. The wheels are black but have the shifting effect too.
Curious of the effect at night in city lights. This is amazing
Finally! I've been asking about this for years!
A good way of showing the color could also be under parking lot lighting and sodium light. Both types of lighting will accentuate the pearls.
I’m doing this on a guitar project of mine.
Ozzy’s guitarist Jake E Lee had the same effect
This is DOPE!.. liking Plasti Dip more and more...
Nice job!! Curious, what about a yellow colorshift pearl on a neon yellow car?
Nice job fellas, I hope u don't ever change that reveal music!

Love how he works that camera. Such skill going on.
Do you guys have any idea how long I've been wait for you to revisit the concept!?
Color is sick! Great work!
awesome, looked like a portal when it was being mixed

I want to see a full effect of this!! The bucket colour was spectacular! Do that on a car... Hey you can do that on mine!! 😉
love that effect. always wanted to have a paint job likes this.
Is the finish smooth? When you touch it, I mean.
As long as you apply it correctly!
As soon as I saw the pearl enter the bucket, I wondered "is that what unicorn piss would look like"? After all, they fart rainbows, so probably piss this.... Stunning lol
Perfectly subtle coloring 😍
I agree with prestanium . Maybe do a raffle or something man would love to see this dip on my car
By far one of my all time favorites.
I love this! Is there any way to make it matte though?
Absolutely love THIS!! Thank you!!
Subtle but head turning. Love it!
I wanna paint my car the same as it looked in the bucket that looks really beautiful
That would look good as a clear over black base
I wish I could wear this on my eyes lids😍😍
Jessica Singh Ikr would make a good highlighter too 😂
You can... Kleancolor megawatts collection, colourpop supershock in "birthday wish" just use white eyeshadow base (like the nyx one)
Question. If your facfory colour is white, and you want to DIY a satin pearl, can you just use a clear satin base with the pearl pigments, or do you have to put a white dip base first, then the clear satin pearl?
Something like that needs to be seen at night driving under streetlights.
This may be a stupid question, but can you use a car's factory white finish as the base and only spray it with the pearl coats?
Not sure if it was asked but if your car is already white could you get that same affect by just spraying the color shift and clear over the paint?
Hi fonzie, what is best removing masking tape after the dip is dry or after the final coat when it's still wet?
would the pearl powders be able to be mixed into paint for a more permanent job?
is it possible to show us RL-71 over one of your blues, i know a lot of blue but on a lighter baby blue I think it would be cool
please do a video on the blue interface!!please!!
spray it over black
boostindub exactly what I was saying it's a waste on a white car isn't it. It barley shows. Can u image u pay like few idk couple of 1000 dollars just for this😱 hells nooo. If I wanna have an effect it better fucking shows dude!😂😅

Spray it over hard tack.
Nynja Witjes it costs at the most £250.....
Its plasti dip lol a kit with sprayer and everything you need is like 400 us dollars
@@nynjawitjes7979 it's pearl white Einstein.

Precisely why I’m not a fan of white base coats - too overpowering, but perfect if subtlety is what you are after with your pearl topcoats
Is the white colorshift the same as the cobra used on the Lancer? It almost looks the same.
looks like a pearl white paint job I had on A motorcycle before
Can you do this technique for any colors? I wanted to do something like this for my rims with black as a base and red doing the color shifting
my man this color is so sick but come come we need that in California to am tired of just looking all this sick colors but we cant get them in Cali ehats up with that lol great job keep it up
i want to see the deepest, highest gloss blue you guys offer, looking to paint my rx7 FD and i just want a blue to kill all blues!

i would love to see what a rainbow purls will look like over a full crome base ?
What did they do to the tail lights? ! That's dope
I think about any color looks dope on that car...
pearl effects are cool but is that possible to make a glitter color?

Not bad guys. I just painted my girls car the same thing white base, chameleon ghost pearl, and clear coat. during the day the colors pop HARD and at night the car looks pearl white until head lights hit.
Always shoots on cloudy days!!!
Imagine spraying a house with this, but using uv resistant resin for the waterproofing
Can this be used with regular paint? And then added to the clear coat?
if you added more pearl would it amplify the effect or no
Is there any way to create a super epic super shiny Silver with black details?

Cameras do no justice for the awesome colors the eyes can see
Hey I know this is over 5 years ago. But I need help with this particular color pattern for my truck...
Hello, alright what bout that same color scheme but with some gold flakes? & or even some type of Dimon flake in it? Just enough of bought?
i have a 98 ford high top disabled van want it painted pearl white with a clear coat of Rainbow pearl Esence have seen this down before was very nice what do you think
what would this kit look like if you added blue juice to it? still spraying over white base
i was wondering on your gun that you were using. it looks something like a wagner gun that hooks up to a Shop Vac or compressor. if it is then that is a trip.
What is the upside to the dip rather than paint?
could I spray that right over my white car to get that effect?
Do you guys mask the door seals and under the engine bay?
