      I'm building a PC for my brand new Sim racing rig. Today i ordered: Asus TUF B650Pluss WiFi, Montech Air 903 Max and Arctic Liquid freezer III 360. I have Corsair RM750x, Kingston KC3000 2TB and PowerColor rx6950XT Red Devil in storage. So only missing CPU and and RAM. RAM will be 32GB G.Skill Trident Z 6000 CL30. The CPU will be ryzen 5 7600/7600X or ryzen 7 7700. What ever i can get a hold of next week.

    I have recently decided to attempt to build a pc since my 2015 aio pc will be obsolete oct 2025. I have never been into pc’s (example aio pc 😂) or gaming on anything other than PlayStation consoles. But thanks to your channel I believe I have the confidence to start a build of my own. During this holiday sale I picked up a xfx rx 7900 gre, a r7 7700x and a 2tb wd sn850x ssd. I went with an 8 core due to more of a univeral build. Tried putting an upgrade package together and realized it would cost around 4700 DKK for cpu, ram and motherboard (including sales tax). I got the Microcenter deal it’s some pretty great value. 600 bucks for a 7800x3d, 2 sticks of DDR5 Gskill flare ram, and a asus tuf B650E motherboard.
    I also got the MSI store 4070 TI super for 720 dollars from the manufactures store.
    Best part was the monitor which was a 1440 and 144 hz refresh rate for an insane deal at only 170 from Costco.
    Now I’m wondering should I stick with the 1440 p monitor because it’s so cheap or get a 4k monitor for my chunky single player games like horizon or baldurs gate.

  • @Tigermania

    Crazy low monitor prices yet more evidence that bad GPU pricing is discouraging people from upgrading the monitor. So they keep --the-- their current GPU on lower screen resolutions that they can run at good enough frame rates.

    Hey Jason, I'm considering the MSI Pro B760M-A WIFI DDR5 for my build with either an i5-13600K or i5-14600K. I don't plan on overclocking, but I need a motherboard that can handle the power demands of these CPUs and allow them to run at their full boost clocks. I chose this board because it seems to have a decent VRM and it has a very good price in my region. If this motherboard can handle these CPUs well, I'd prefer to avoid spending extra money on more expensive motherboards and instead put that towards more storage, which I need. Do you think this motherboard will be a good choice for these CPUs, or should I look at something more expensive?

    I built my own gaming PC about 12 years ago when I started college and it was a beast. Things have changed a lot since then for sure lol. Been laptop gaming for quite a while the past 4-5 years or so and now my razer is going out on me. Debating making a new desktop build versus finding something prebuilt for excellent 1440p gaming and also heavy photo editing. How much do I save by building my own? Or is there actually a discount buying a decent prebuilt? Only thing is I'm not a huge fan of the RGB. Some single color light red, blue, white that can be shut off would be nice but the crazy RGB everywhere isn't something I'm really thrilled about. Thoughts?

      @kelley09162 That's what I thought. I definitely would like some lighting but it needs to be controlled and able to be changed or dimmed, etc. I like atrium style or glass sided cases. I won't always be pushing it hard so controllable fan speed would be a plus so I'm not listening to a helicopter. Some of the prebuilt reviews I've seen have complaints about noise but I'm not sure what to believe either lol. Budget, somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500 just for the PC. I'm not a super heavy gamer but I want to be able to play popular titles comfortably, gave some future proofing, and be able to edit timelapses and photography easily (ram heavy, so I need/want 32GB). Thoughts?

      At one time you couldn't build your own at anywhere near the price of large OEM, Intel, MS & disk manufactureres were giving them big discounts, while they got the main boards built to their own specs allowing more cost to be squeezed out at the price of upgradeability and it was the OEMs problem if their capacitors failed.

      @ the white thermaltake just sold out on Amazon for $80. I decided I was was willing to pay the premium and got the 7800 xt steel legend card that I fell in love with but it’s been really hard to find a white case. Montech xr is exactly what I’m looking for but that’s completely gone.

      @@jordenwehrly7061 the Montechc Sky Two GX is another well reviewed Case that comes in White. It just doesn't include a Rear Fan so you'd have to buy one.

    I just ordered a rtx 3060 12 GB for 270€ but after reading more reviews I'm second guessing myself. Would it be better to buy a 4060 for 285€ instead?

    • @PCBuilderChannel
      @PCBuilderChannel  2 місяці тому

      No! The 4060 only has 8gb of VRAM and its terrible price to performance anyway

    Hey Jason, hope all is well, I never see you mention the 7500 f, how do you feel about that deal? roughly $125 for a 7600 without integrated graphics

    Can you update price and link for the 7700 xt at 400 bucks. Your link leads to the SWFT 7600 for 370 bucks.

      Yep these sale prices change a lot I'm afraid. We are keeping the links updated a couple times a day but especially overnight stuff can get screwy.

    Gonna power up a 2200g build once my $60 MB comes in with my trusty F-tier rated PSU and poor timing RAM sticks and OEM 256 GB SSD. Will call it my bad to the bone build!

    Which one would work better, the rx 7600 xt in the video, or the rx 6750xt xfx speester qick for about 300$ in the same build???

      If you have the budget for the 6750XT that is faster than the 7600XT

    I nabbed that 7600x + SSD deal yesterday thanks to your community post! Is DDR5 7000 36 ram incompatible with the cpu? might have made a lil oopsie

    • @PCBuilderChannel
      @PCBuilderChannel  2 місяці тому +1

      Little opsie yes but probably easy to fix. Cancel that ram and grab the one we recommend here. It will save you money too!
