These three are so polite compared to most comedians in their podcasts, they actually allow each other to finish a sentence.

This aspect of the story makes it so easy to listen to. It's so easy to follow.

People lost their humanity when anonymity became such an accessible thing. It's easier to be cruel when you can hide your identity from the masses and in turn, their judgement.
You mean Psuedonomity: it is was created earlier for a special class of "regular people" that became personas as celebrities. It's the disease of Parasocial relationships.
Unfortunately The problem is Deep in time and Rich in complexity.
In fact a Person is more completely knowable now than at any time previous in history, and this will I only continue to become more total as we are inevitably engulfed by these arbitrary, artificial social environments which reflect various aspects of our selves.
You can also see this, come to think of it, in the schoolyard. You weren't "known" by your peers so much as perceived by them. This became brutalist in the manufactured comfort of the suburbs.
If anything America has been becoming the single Least Authentic culture since the 1920s. We're also the country that spearheaded the internet and social media.
This may go a long way to understand that what we do and Have done is continually export a quasiculture internationally.
The rejection then subsequent acceptance of Anime seems so appropriate as the whole of the Far East is now playing this game where they're exporting and critiquing the falseness and futility of modern society.
It actually goes a long way to addressing the self-alienation of the West, though I think the problems in Europe are much harder to pin down, but may have to be do with a similar push towards de-urbanizatioh to a slight degree and certainly also a saturation of unrealistic media.
Not sure if the price of technical autonomy is this Parasocial Construct, but it bears remembering that the King posseses the Crown, and this symbol of sovereignty was what created the primordial interhuman Parasocial relationship.
Dale una careta a un hombre y verás quien realmente es
In the early 2000s people didn't take the internet so seriously, so anonymity wasn't an issue. Now, the line between offline and online is blurred and "offline" topics are super pervasive so the cruelty is more prevalent.
When they were talking about pd allegations what was it the Shane Dawson thing I wasn’t heavily following new at that time, at the time i just started watching review tech USA and then
after that slowly fell off of it watched someone else now I watch yellowflash and clownfishtv and I don’t fully understand what they are talking about
When Connor starts his backstory, I know some incredible shit's about to go down.
For a 23-year old, he's had one hell of a life.
I am never prepared for where his stories go to! The host club, the chess prodigy and finding the hunch of a weird person being an actual molestor. Crazy shit!!
As a 23 year old I realized my life needs to step it up a notch...
I wonder if you are joking or not, commenter.
If this is not a reference to Black Butler, I'm making it be.

It sucks because so many people on the internet say shitty things thinking it doesn't matter, when the shit that you do can genuinely fuck somebody up, or worse, they do it knowing it can, but think that somehow the person deserves this shit for something as dumb as doing well.

I remember when I was younger, by that I mean like 3 or 4 years ago I thought I can become a youtuber and be famous. But the problem was I didnt have any recording software, or anything like that, so I remember posting real life stuff, like small skit or random shit at my school. Usually got about 10, 12 or maybe even 30, and I never got a single comment most of the time. But the first comment I received was a hateful comment, I dont remember what it was but I remember who replied to that comment. My father replied to the comment defending me, which just made me cry, not of being sad or mad just happy, that one of the subscribers I had was my father, this was when I was not the most stable mentally. I never told my dad I saw the comment or anything like that, I simply walked up to him and hit him on the arm, for some reason, not a hard hit just a soft one, he was confused of course and to this day I never told him. I don't upload at all and when I do it's probably something I thought was funny.
I deleted the video because it was one of those videos I couldnt stand looking at because it was so cringe.

Asimov Vomisa I can understand that haha. Thankfully my mom and I get along really well and I’m paying half the rent/doing most of the housework so she lays off me lol.
Alright.
Me, 27, living with my parents ---
Depends on what you're doing I guess. Like I live at home cos I'm a pre-med student and won't be settled into a full time career and able to afford a house until I'm like 30 but at the same time I have the benefit of knowing I'm actually doing something with my life. Likewise my older sister didn't leave home until 27 cos she needed to save up in order to be able to afford her own place with her husband. But if you're like the person Connor was talking about where they're some weirdo doing nothing but roleplaying as some anime character without some semblance of a real life then there's something wrong there.
You're talking about how you're paying half the rent for your place. In that case you're not living under your mom, she's basically just your room mate. Big difference.
"Common sense nowadays is not as common as we like to think it is"
-Joey 2020
Common sense is so rare it's considered a superpower these days.
Its using the extrapolations from things that we KNOW to guess that which we SHOULD do in a scenario, we arent nessasarily taught it so no it's not common and no it not just something I'm going to know. I hate this idea behind common sense and that everyone just knows this thing.
@Faith Dorey sounds like an excuse to be an asshole.
So say you were attracted to kids, since you weren’t taught common sense you’re gonna molest them? Since you weren’t taught common sense you’re gonna steal something for no reason? Doesn’t make sense.
Common sense is something that you’re born with. It’s the ability to know what to do in an OBVIOUS situation. It’s not rocket science. Someone is complaining to you about a problem they have, it’s common sense to not ridicule them for having a problem. It’s common sense that bullying anyone is bad, it’s common sense to treat children with care and not shout at them, etc.
It isn’t some kind of godlike power that someone has to bestow upon you, you ARE born with it, and whether you choose to utilize it or not is up to you.
@@samantaraafat8526 How the hell are you born with it? That's stuff you learn through early development. It's only common sense when someone gets it hammered into them at a very young age. Of course some things are more obvious than others, such as the very extreme example you started your comment with lol. But some other things that are considered common sense aren't as common as you may think due to poor parenting/ bad upbringing.

This podcast is the only podcast I've ever been intrested in and ACTUALLY ENJOY every second, dumb comment, or in depth discussion.
I love just listening to guys as I draw, and sometimes I burst out laughing and loose my progress lol.
I like talking as much as I like listening to other people talk.
Joey the last time: "Whats up you salty salmon slices?"
Joey in this times podcast: "Whats up you ecchi eccentric enthusiats"

Thank you, you have unintentionally highlighted a part of the podcast a lot of people wanna rewatch.
I watch these vids over a couple of days, it's a great podcast while driving by the way, and I feel like they are the most relaxing, informative, and amusing podcasts I have ever watched. The chemistry between you three is like finding that perfect JoJo meme at the perfect time. This channel has become one of my favorite to look forward to for new videos. Proud to support this content. Keep them coming please.🤗💖
I'm an artist that works from home and lately have been absolutely STRUGGLING to focus on my commissions.
Everything I normally did just no longer worked. Music didn't help, anime in the background didn't help, nothing.
I stumbled onto this channel and have just been absolutely blasting through my work while I listen to you guys, so like a HUGE thank you for making these podcasts.
You guys are SO entertaining and funny and talk about things relevant to my tastes and it has been so enjoyable listening!
Somehow I can sit down through the entire podcast focused intently but cant sit through the same length of literally any other content so this content must be interesting
You are right on the mark boiii
I don't ever really focus on podcasts. They are my background noise while I do "important" things.
"podcasts are for background stuff to listen to"...... me: watches the entire episode on youtube because i wanna see their faces and reactions to everything they say

Interesting rewatching these old eps and realizing how to many of us the pod was the first introduction we had to Connor and now years along the line how much I enjoy his content
Garnt and Joey obviously have evolved a lot as well, just a very charismatic trio overall
started watching these episodes in order a few days ago and now I'm on episode 7. perfect background podcast for work.. miss my old otaku friends from highschool-college.. 🥺

DUDE I decided to watch your podcast and ive been so entranced by this podcast that it took me 7 episodes to say it. I love this so much keep doing the good work guys.
I love your podcast! Your UA-cam discussion was really good. Back in the day (college), I was thinking of doing a UA-cam channel for kids/teens on a story I’ve been developing over the years, but I never felt like my content would be good enough (especially because I was still growing as an artist). I was also scared of getting myself out there on the internet. Now that I’m an adult, and a little more business savvy, I think I can finally move forward with one of my dreams :) I hope one day you guys will see my work!
At around 40 minute mark, really hit home for me last year. I cosplayed as Shanks for Otakon 2019 and ended getting my picture taken with my friends for the official One Piece twitter and facebook accounts and I read the comments and all of them were making fun of how fat I looked.
The internet will even call 0% bodyfat, fat.
i bet you looked great if you got retweeted :D
Yeah....get too big and they call you fat, get too shredded with veins all over your body and they call you gross

The problem with having a separate persona online and real-life is that people force your persona to your irl persona. Like what happened to Joji and Filthy Frank
bUt JoJi aNd fiLtHy fRanK arE tHe sAmE pErSon sMh mY hEad
It does make me sad that Joji gave up the character. Then again due to it affecting his health I guess it was for the best. Thank god he was talented enough to pursue singing as a career.
It just turned out that Joji was exactly as much of a wanker as filthy frank; just not as funny and in a different way.
Steve Madden explain?
Steve Madden bro how is joji a wanker?????
When you guys were talking about how you think of video ideas before you go to sleep, it reminded me of when I randomly think of a good drawing idea and quickly sketch it down and then realize my mistakes later on lol
6:33 Millennium Actress such an incredible film! And honestly, it's like a mirror's refection of Perfect Blue. It deals with a lot of the same ideas (the duality between who you are as a person, and who you portray as an actor), but in such a different light than Perfect Blue. Also, it's a beautiful homage to Japanese Cinema!
The two films are incredible on their own, but they really shine when after you've watched both and get to see that duality.

Connor is a good story-teller. He needs to have a bit each podcast. "Connor's story corner".
I feel like we shouldnt do that cus it might pressure connor to think of a story every podcast and we wouldnt him to be pressured every podcast especially since he has his own videos to think of but that would be lit
fadhel hugo yea, he’s gonna tell stories himself, no need to force anything lol
Ngl that would be pretty epiccc I love Connor's stories

This episode really made me take a good look at how I treat others on the internet, and how most of my opinions are not my own, but are just simply reiterated from someone else.
I haven't watched anime in about 15-20 years. Yet I watched every episode of this podcast. These guys are just so entertaining.
In all honesty, when I watched the first episode of Trash Taste, I was expecting anime reviews, maybe some guests from the industry coming on and turning Connor into a connoisseur of anime tiddies over the next few episodes. But the past six, including this one, episodes have been so much more than that and really adds a breadth and depth that I could never have expected but I truly enjoy this. So thank you. And take my money.
This podcast makes me feel like i actually have friends tbh

I'm so happy you mentioned scamboli coz I really like his reviews and it was him that introduced me to some of my favourite shows and manga / manhwa
Them talking about how they think of random great ideas whenever they take a shit or about to go to sleep is so relatable. I would think of a concept while showering and say to myself "You know, that would be really good manga/anime" and I would write it down if I ever get the determination to actually make one of these concepts come to life.
Anime they spoke about:
01:35 Perfect Blue
05:50 Paprika
06:30 Millenium Actress
14:00 Maquia
15:30 Prison School
Let me know if I must add something.
Thamks
I don't know what perspectives that Maquia gave you guys, I really don't. Now I'm wondering "Am I the only one who didn't get the message of the movie?" I feel like I am a black sheep right now.
@@nattakarnwaroonhatham6796 I had to stop watching it halfway through because I found it really boring and borderline annoying at times. The animation and art was beautiful though.
@@wave1090 I agree with you that the art style (like character design, backgrounds and stuffs) are beautiful, soundtracks are ok, but they tell the story in slowly pace which kinda boring but I managed to watch until the end though.
Still, the core of the movie that I currently got is "the son doesn't look to the mom like the way she does" and that's it. I need more explanation of something that may hiding in the plain sight and some details that I might totally forgotten. Can someone tell me, please.
