@@snehadureha5745 I am being 1000% serious when I tell you I have picked up stuff for my computer in electronics walked past paints and automotive checked out the shotguns and rifles, checked ammunition prices, walked past the sportsman's section, grabbed a few toys for my kid, and went to check out. There might be 10 aisles separation between real shotguns and Power Rangers toys... Maybe... Edit: I should also point out the entirety of the sportsman section is mainly focused around hunting and firearms

Or at least you used to be able to I don't venture towards the sportsman section anymore I just go to large dedicated stores with massive selections of firearms.
@@snehadureha5745 it's not though, it's not like you can grab one and shoot someone, they are kept in cases unloaded and usually locked up via a gun lock going through the mechanism. However I should point out there are some major sporting good stores where there are tactical looking rifles just sitting out in displays that you can grab and shoulder to get a feel for and everything, but there are obvious things for safety still like the mechanisms are still locked and even so if you pointed at somebody, somebody will come give you a stern talking to etc. Most places you pick it out, go through a background check, pay for it, wait a few days while everything is sorted out, go pick it up. There a few States however where as far as we are concerned it is your right to carry a firearm unless deemed otherwise, so you are considered eligible until proven otherwise to simply go buy a gun and walk out with it and its ammunition on the same day, and depending on if you went to a fun sporting store you might even have explosive targets to shoot with these guns. But the thing is it's so ingrained into the culture that it's completely safe in 95% of scenarios if not more. There's no shock horror stories about the millions of responsible gun owners going hunting or target shooting as a hobby.

Wii Fit and Pokemon Go helped people with fitness, CoD gives people a basic understanding of how guns work, including their names, types, and attachments, and the Tomb Raider and Uncharted series helps you get better at puzzle-solving

They both work pretty well. I did Connor’s first, then a few years later, I still had frustration from things, but not much. After doing the monk thing, it was all gone, so they both work, but for different things. (Getting the anger out doesn’t help with mild frustration, and doing the monk thing doesn’t help with anger, it just helps you channel it into something else)
I love the fact that after watching a few episodes of Joey and Garnt's channels or just a few episodes of Trash Taste you get a good idea of their personalities, but then there's Conner. Every time I think I've figured it out he throws another curveball. Like wtf is his life its so all over the place

And one sadly leads to the other. Someone picks on you, nobody wants to be your friend due to 1, not wanting to get in the crosshairs of the bully as well, or 2, they now think you're not cool because you're being bullied. Your self-esteem takes a dive and its noticeable and nobody wants to be around that, furthering the circle of isolation. I didn't realize how much tension I'd been holding in until the fall after I graduated and saw a school bus pass by, realizing that never again would I have to ride one. The school bus always seemed to be where I was picked on, making me walk to school for a few years just to escape it.

I'm really glad they talked about PodTaku. Even if its already stuff we've known mostly. It just fills back the void i felt that its seems PodTaku was just a dream that I enjoy and nobody really knows anything about it. Hearing them discuss about it, by Gigguk himself just somehow made me happy.

True, I was bullied verbally for a few years before and it was already enough for me to consider just ending it all. Connor’s childhood was a hell lot more than that but he just punched them back, amazing he grew up to be such a outgoing and funny guy. Love and respect that man.
Conner’s story about leaving the cinema early and having Japanese people follow him reminded me of when I was queuing for 2 HOURS for an Eva ride at universal studios. I had been on my feet all day and the pain shooting up my feet was unbearable. I was like fuck it. I will sit on the floor and wait in this queue! Then about 3 other groups of Japanese people stared at me for a bit and were like “woah we can do that??” Some leaned and sat on the rails and then slowly came down to actually sit down on the floor as well. The look of relief on their faces was gold 😂

I just realized that i have such a soft spot for these 3. Connor is relatively new but gigguk and joey, I have been following since i was a kid. I used to watch their anime reviews back when anime wasnt so big in my country or even on youtube and it felt so cool to listen other people's POV on your fav shows. I usually hate podcasts and i get cringed out or actually i could never even stand 3 dudes talking about random shit but if its these 3, i find myself laughing and enjoying. They were proud of their love for anime even when anime wasnt cool. And they gave people like me, who got bullied for liking anime, a place to feel good about my interests. TLDR; love u guys. Gigguk describing being a monk is interesting and terrifying. His daily life is the exact opposite of my Boot Camp experience when I joined the Marines when you're so busy and physically active you have no time to think.
Jokes aside, everytime I hear a story from Connor's childhood, my admiration and respect for him grow. Any other man could grow into becoming a bitter dick, which is understandable, but instead Connor became Connor. Mad respect.

I think it's good that he was able to fight back and let his emotions run instead of just getting bullied and repressing it, which leads to a lot of issues, so when the fighting and people looking for shit calmed down, he knew how to deal with his emotions. I think it also helps a lot that he didn't end up getting in detention or suspended, which would have lead to him making more bad decisions down the line and meet more people with issues (especially since he fought back rather than starting the fights, even if he technically escalated some of them). I feel I know a lot of people who were super angry as kids but super laid back now, and I think being able to express your emotions (even through violence) is a good way to get them out now while you're young.
@@kaein2973 I feel which one you end up with depends on how they choose to punish you, because if Connor had gotten in like expelled or sent to Juvie (assuming that's a thing in UK which I'm pretty sure it's not), he would probably still be angry, but since he got off with mostly warnings (especially since most if not all of the scenarios were started by the other party) he didn't go down that path.
Really, right?! He doesn't talk about it much on his channel! And everything he says here in the podcast about his past is always an absolute opposite to how he is now that it's hard for me to envision! He's really done quite the change, it looks like.
Really though. Didn't know the guy prior to me learning of this podcast and he was the one I was least expecting anything to be funny but oh boy was I so wrong. Every time he talks about his past with his British accent I always lose my shit.
Felt pretty nostalgic thinking back to those PodTaku days in this episode. I know I have grown a lot since then and my experience on the podcast is definitely been a big factor in that. I still look back fondly on our time on PodTaku and am very thankful for all of the good memories I have of that time. Great podcast as always guys!

The story Joey told about the car at his highschool reminded me of something that happened at my highschool. This wasn’t my class, but senior pranks happen every year and this one is a legend where I’m from. I don’t know how they did it, but I come from a small community with a lot of farmers and mechanics. This group of boys managed to completely take apart a car and reassemble it inside our schools inner courtyard.
This is a surprisingly common high school prank. Or not like, super common because obviously most can't do it, but like, it's a commonly known prank. It's considered the magnum opus of High School pranks, and anyone who can pull it off is a legend. I've heard stories of seniors doing it once ever, and a few times in other schools (I think it helps that I live in a city that has a huge number of mechanics and welders). My senior group tried to do it (and I'm surprised we didn't because we have a group of seniors who literally built and flew in a fully functional plane), but instead, we opted for Eggs and TP for some unknown reason. I think it was mostly because the only really funny place to put it would have been the office or teacher's lounge, but we didn't have the keys (it was all key card) and the way our office is setup means there is no chance in hell we can move the car to make it fit.
@@arc771 he told me that the car was extremely light (Trabant 601) and that there were 6 of them. The building supposedly had huge stairs and doors (which i can confirm, many buildings like schools around here have) so they just walked up i guess
Some of the alumni of one of my sister schools did something similar but instead of the roof, they disassembled it and put it in his office after moving the furniture around. They even had pictures for proof. Apparently, they got the keys from a janitor or something to do a senior prank (which is just a thing we're allowed to do) and I think it helped that the city I live has a massive mechanics and auto field, so half the school just knew their way around a car.

I love audience engagement when watching movies in the theater. Maybe because I’m starved for human interaction, but I love hearing people get hyped over cool scenes. Also, I don’t know how common this is, but I live in California and a couple theaters in my area have like these full on leather recliners equipped with seatwarmers, and they have trays that you can pull out to put your food on. It’s really cool.

I'm a massive yaoi fan and even I winced at the other kid catching feelings for Connor, lol.The garbage side of me finds it a bit cute but then I also can't help but to feel that the story is best without the romance ;) But good start!
I love hearing the childhood anger/fight stories, because I was never much of a violent kid, I was just kind of a mence. I was the alt weird kid in the midwest, so I stood out quite a bit but tended to keep to myself and just be weird around my friends when we were secluded. But my brother thought it would be funny to out me to his friends, so being called homophobic slurs in the hallway became a commonality when passing his friends, but one day one of them thought it would be funny to follow me to class while repeatedly calling me said slurs, I got fed up and right before i turned into my biology class, I was kinda a teacher's pet in his class, i just decked the kid, walked into class sat in my seat and pretending like nothing happened. He ended up in the nurses office with a pretty busted but not broken nose, and my brother's friends left me alone after that. And the school took no action after hearing what he was calling me because they knew I was gonna pull the fuckin gay card if they tried to get me in any trouble forstanding up for myself after repeatedly telling teachers about the frequency of the slurs being thrown at me.

@@snehadureha5745 it's not though, it's not like you can grab one and shoot someone, they are kept in cases unloaded and usually locked up via a gun lock going through the mechanism. However I should point out there are some major sporting good stores where there are tactical looking rifles just sitting out in displays that you can grab and shoulder to get a feel for and everything, but there are obvious things for safety still like the mechanisms are still locked and even so if you pointed at somebody, somebody will come give you a stern talking to etc. Most places you pick it out, go through a background check, pay for it, wait a few days while everything is sorted out, go pick it up. There a few States however where as far as we are concerned it is your right to carry a firearm unless deemed otherwise, so you are considered eligible until proven otherwise to simply go buy a gun and walk out with it and its ammunition on the same day, and depending on if you went to a fun sporting store you might even have explosive targets to shoot with these guns. But the thing is it's so ingrained into the culture that it's completely safe in 95% of scenarios if not more. There's no shock horror stories about the millions of responsible gun owners going hunting or target shooting as a hobby.

They both work pretty well. I did Connor’s first, then a few years later, I still had frustration from things, but not much. After doing the monk thing, it was all gone, so they both work, but for different things. (Getting the anger out doesn’t help with mild frustration, and doing the monk thing doesn’t help with anger, it just helps you channel it into something else)

I just realized that i have such a soft spot for these 3. Connor is relatively new but gigguk and joey, I have been following since i was a kid. I used to watch their anime reviews back when anime wasnt so big in my country or even on youtube and it felt so cool to listen other people's POV on your fav shows. I usually hate podcasts and i get cringed out or actually i could never even stand 3 dudes talking about random shit but if its these 3, i find myself laughing and enjoying. They were proud of their love for anime even when anime wasnt cool. And they gave people like me, who got bullied for liking anime, a place to feel good about my interests. TLDR; love u guys. Jokes aside, everytime I hear a story from Connor's childhood, my admiration and respect for him grow. Any other man could grow into becoming a bitter dick, which is understandable, but instead Connor became Connor. Mad respect.

I think it's good that he was able to fight back and let his emotions run instead of just getting bullied and repressing it, which leads to a lot of issues, so when the fighting and people looking for shit calmed down, he knew how to deal with his emotions. I think it also helps a lot that he didn't end up getting in detention or suspended, which would have lead to him making more bad decisions down the line and meet more people with issues (especially since he fought back rather than starting the fights, even if he technically escalated some of them).
I feel I know a lot of people who were super angry as kids but super laid back now, and I think being able to express your emotions (even through violence) is a good way to get them out now while you're young.
@@kaein2973 I feel which one you end up with depends on how they choose to punish you, because if Connor had gotten in like expelled or sent to Juvie (assuming that's a thing in UK which I'm pretty sure it's not), he would probably still be angry, but since he got off with mostly warnings (especially since most if not all of the scenarios were started by the other party) he didn't go down that path.

Really, right?! He doesn't talk about it much on his channel! And everything he says here in the podcast about his past is always an absolute opposite to how he is now that it's hard for me to envision! He's really done quite the change, it looks like.

Felt pretty nostalgic thinking back to those PodTaku days in this episode. I know I have grown a lot since then and my experience on the podcast is definitely been a big factor in that. I still look back fondly on our time on PodTaku and am very thankful for all of the good memories I have of that time. Great podcast as always guys!

The story Joey told about the car at his highschool reminded me of something that happened at my highschool.
This wasn’t my class, but senior pranks happen every year and this one is a legend where I’m from.
I don’t know how they did it, but I come from a small community with a lot of farmers and mechanics.
This group of boys managed to completely take apart a car and reassemble it inside our schools inner courtyard.

This is a surprisingly common high school prank. Or not like, super common because obviously most can't do it, but like, it's a commonly known prank. It's considered the magnum opus of High School pranks, and anyone who can pull it off is a legend. I've heard stories of seniors doing it once ever, and a few times in other schools (I think it helps that I live in a city that has a huge number of mechanics and welders).
My senior group tried to do it (and I'm surprised we didn't because we have a group of seniors who literally built and flew in a fully functional plane), but instead, we opted for Eggs and TP for some unknown reason. I think it was mostly because the only really funny place to put it would have been the office or teacher's lounge, but we didn't have the keys (it was all key card) and the way our office is setup means there is no chance in hell we can move the car to make it fit.
Wow I mean atleast the teacher now knows that his students have a career path they can fall back on 🤣 being a mechanic

@@arc771 he told me that the car was extremely light (Trabant 601) and that there were 6 of them. The building supposedly had huge stairs and doors (which i can confirm, many buildings like schools around here have) so they just walked up i guess
Some of the alumni of one of my sister schools did something similar but instead of the roof, they disassembled it and put it in his office after moving the furniture around. They even had pictures for proof. Apparently, they got the keys from a janitor or something to do a senior prank (which is just a thing we're allowed to do) and I think it helped that the city I live has a massive mechanics and auto field, so half the school just knew their way around a car.

I love audience engagement when watching movies in the theater. Maybe because I’m starved for human interaction, but I love hearing people get hyped over cool scenes.
Also, I don’t know how common this is, but I live in California and a couple theaters in my area have like these full on leather recliners equipped with seatwarmers, and they have trays that you can pull out to put your food on. It’s really cool.

I love hearing the childhood anger/fight stories, because I was never much of a violent kid, I was just kind of a mence. I was the alt weird kid in the midwest, so I stood out quite a bit but tended to keep to myself and just be weird around my friends when we were secluded. But my brother thought it would be funny to out me to his friends, so being called homophobic slurs in the hallway became a commonality when passing his friends, but one day one of them thought it would be funny to follow me to class while repeatedly calling me said slurs, I got fed up and right before i turned into my biology class, I was kinda a teacher's pet in his class, i just decked the kid, walked into class sat in my seat and pretending like nothing happened. He ended up in the nurses office with a pretty busted but not broken nose, and my brother's friends left me alone after that. And the school took no action after hearing what he was calling me because they knew I was gonna pull the fuckin gay card if they tried to get me in any trouble forstanding up for myself after repeatedly telling teachers about the frequency of the slurs being thrown at me.
