Jokes aside, everytime I hear a story from Connor's childhood, my admiration and respect for him grow. Any other man could grow into becoming a bitter dick, which is understandable, but instead Connor became Connor. Mad respect.

I think it's good that he was able to fight back and let his emotions run instead of just getting bullied and repressing it, which leads to a lot of issues, so when the fighting and people looking for shit calmed down, he knew how to deal with his emotions. I think it also helps a lot that he didn't end up getting in detention or suspended, which would have lead to him making more bad decisions down the line and meet more people with issues (especially since he fought back rather than starting the fights, even if he technically escalated some of them).
I feel I know a lot of people who were super angry as kids but super laid back now, and I think being able to express your emotions (even through violence) is a good way to get them out now while you're young.
@@kaein2973 I feel which one you end up with depends on how they choose to punish you, because if Connor had gotten in like expelled or sent to Juvie (assuming that's a thing in UK which I'm pretty sure it's not), he would probably still be angry, but since he got off with mostly warnings (especially since most if not all of the scenarios were started by the other party) he didn't go down that path.
Basically in a nutshell:

Joey: BL protagonist
Garnt: Cultivation World protagonist

@@snehadureha5745 I am being 1000% serious when I tell you I have picked up stuff for my computer in electronics walked past paints and automotive checked out the shotguns and rifles, checked ammunition prices, walked past the sportsman's section, grabbed a few toys for my kid, and went to check out. There might be 10 aisles separation between real shotguns and Power Rangers toys... Maybe...
Edit: I should also point out the entirety of the sportsman section is mainly focused around hunting and firearms
@@snehadureha5745 I should note that as an American I considered a very limited selection of maybe 12 different guns for sale but yeah you can get a shotgun or a rifle from Walmart. Or at least you used to be able to I don't venture towards the sportsman section anymore I just go to large dedicated stores with massive selections of firearms.

@@snehadureha5745 it's not though, it's not like you can grab one and shoot someone, they are kept in cases unloaded and usually locked up via a gun lock going through the mechanism. However I should point out there are some major sporting good stores where there are tactical looking rifles just sitting out in displays that you can grab and shoulder to get a feel for and everything, but there are obvious things for safety still like the mechanisms are still locked and even so if you pointed at somebody, somebody will come give you a stern talking to etc. Most places you pick it out, go through a background check, pay for it, wait a few days while everything is sorted out, go pick it up. There a few States however where as far as we are concerned it is your right to carry a firearm unless deemed otherwise, so you are considered eligible until proven otherwise to simply go buy a gun and walk out with it and its ammunition on the same day, and depending on if you went to a fun sporting store you might even have explosive targets to shoot with these guns. But the thing is it's so ingrained into the culture that it's completely safe in 95% of scenarios if not more. There's no shock horror stories about the millions of responsible gun owners going hunting or target shooting as a hobby.

Conner’s story about leaving the cinema early and having Japanese people follow him reminded me of when I was queuing for 2 HOURS for an Eva ride at universal studios. I had been on my feet all day and the pain shooting up my feet was unbearable.
I was like fuck it. I will sit on the floor and wait in this queue!
Then about 3 other groups of Japanese people stared at me for a bit and were like “woah we can do that??” Some leaned and sat on the rails and then slowly came down to actually sit down on the floor as well. The look of relief on their faces was gold 😂

Wii Fit and Pokemon Go helped people with fitness, CoD gives people a basic understanding of how guns work, including their names, types, and attachments, and the Tomb Raider and Uncharted series helps you get better at puzzle-solving

The amazing thing is that apparently BOTH WORKED OUT FINE
They both work pretty well. I did Connor’s first, then a few years later, I still had frustration from things, but not much. After doing the monk thing, it was all gone, so they both work, but for different things. (Getting the anger out doesn’t help with mild frustration, and doing the monk thing doesn’t help with anger, it just helps you channel it into something else)

@@arc771 he told me that the car was extremely light (Trabant 601) and that there were 6 of them. The building supposedly had huge stairs and doors (which i can confirm, many buildings like schools around here have) so they just walked up i guess
Some of the alumni of one of my sister schools did something similar but instead of the roof, they disassembled it and put it in his office after moving the furniture around. They even had pictures for proof. Apparently, they got the keys from a janitor or something to do a senior prank (which is just a thing we're allowed to do) and I think it helped that the city I live has a massive mechanics and auto field, so half the school just knew their way around a car.

I remember back in college engineering, I regularly brought my laptop for projects and stuff, and obviously i was an anime nerd back then, i had tons of anime in my drive, so my engineering friends were kinda browsing through my folders, like looking through which animes i have downloaded and stuff, and they stumbled upon kiss x sis, needless to say, they (and i mean like 6-7 of them) watched that anime all the way at our lab, no joke it was during break time like lunch break or a vacancy between classes, but they watched that shit through and through, some of them even requested a copy from me, i don't know what happened back then but it all just felt natural, i don't know if our professors saw us watching that on a dinky little hp laptop, but we were also laughing a lot too during some of the scenes. God something about kiss x sis just attracts the boys if you know what i mean
I love hearing the childhood anger/fight stories, because I was never much of a violent kid, I was just kind of a mence. I was the alt weird kid in the midwest, so I stood out quite a bit but tended to keep to myself and just be weird around my friends when we were secluded. But my brother thought it would be funny to out me to his friends, so being called homophobic slurs in the hallway became a commonality when passing his friends, but one day one of them thought it would be funny to follow me to class while repeatedly calling me said slurs, I got fed up and right before i turned into my biology class, I was kinda a teacher's pet in his class, i just decked the kid, walked into class sat in my seat and pretending like nothing happened. He ended up in the nurses office with a pretty busted but not broken nose, and my brother's friends left me alone after that. And the school took no action after hearing what he was calling me because they knew I was gonna pull the fuckin gay card if they tried to get me in any trouble forstanding up for myself after repeatedly telling teachers about the frequency of the slurs being thrown at me.

And one sadly leads to the other. Someone picks on you, nobody wants to be your friend due to 1, not wanting to get in the crosshairs of the bully as well, or 2, they now think you're not cool because you're being bullied. Your self-esteem takes a dive and its noticeable and nobody wants to be around that, furthering the circle of isolation. I didn't realize how much tension I'd been holding in until the fall after I graduated and saw a school bus pass by, realizing that never again would I have to ride one. The school bus always seemed to be where I was picked on, making me walk to school for a few years just to escape it.

I love audience engagement when watching movies in the theater. Maybe because I’m starved for human interaction, but I love hearing people get hyped over cool scenes.
Also, I don’t know how common this is, but I live in California and a couple theaters in my area have like these full on leather recliners equipped with seatwarmers, and they have trays that you can pull out to put your food on. It’s really cool.

It's so funny to hear how you had enough self-awareness to hide the fact that you watch anime. Me from middle to high school was trying to convince anyone who tried to talk to me to watch anime. I realized a bit too late that people don't and won't love it like i did when my friend stopped spending time with me in school and said that it's because I only talk about anime.
My middle and highschool had a lot of kids into anime so I never considered it to be a weird thing, I think that's because nerdy stuff started becoming pretty normalized come the 2010s.
In my experience of cinema here in the United States, People don’t talk over the movies and will get kicked out if they do.

I'm part Chinese from my mom's side and the only one kid in the family who get to take Mandarin classes... But I don't look Chinese enough and I don't use Mandarin unless I'm in school. So often I go out to buy things some Chinese will be talking not so pleasant commentaries in Mandarin about me and I'll immediately know straight away not to trust their double face, customer service smile. Usually I just walk away and never come back even though the store is my favourite but sometimes I pretend to call someone and speak Mandarin just to rub it on their face that I may not look Chinese, but I do understand Mandarin and can speak it a bit. My mom is half Chinese and she gave me good education as a kid.

Even though I am from the U.S and they have all grown up in different countries. It’s so fascinating how relatable they are and how I connect with them who grew up in completely different areas that were actually not that different. Like handball, I played that as a kid in California and they’re making it out to be only a thing in Australia because they lived only in this area. It’s trippy.

for me the way i was introduced to anime was through my 2 older brothers, they weren't the type tp give a shit if you know what they liked, so if they ever got caught watching anime, they did NOT care at all.
and i remember my Oldest brother got me into "Helsing" the first one, not "Ultimate", and "Gundam seed". and then my second oldest brother got me into "Trigun", "Outlaw Star", "cowboy Bebop" and "Samurai Champloo".
so growing up i ended up liking anime obviously, and was a rare case where i didn't give a shit either if anyone knew.
now yes, i grew up in america, but the thing is, i'm Native American, and grew up on a Reservation, which consisted of only 7,000 other Native Americans, and my school was small, so my group of friends had NO IDEA wtf anime even was.
and we didn't exactly have internet at that time, but we had cable. and we had toonami, but not all of my friends did.
except 1 other kid that i knew about, but never actually talked to.
this was also a time where there wasn't really any Anime Merchandise, so what i did in middle school was Print out pictures of anime characters using the school library computers. and tape them tp my Binder.
so that dude seen a picture of a gundam on my binder, and asked me "do you watch Toonami" and i'm like "oh shit, yeah, do you?"
and he was like "holy crap i dont know anyone else that watches anime. and thats how we became friends.
eventually it was only a matter of time before we got internet and dug our way into the deepest and darkest corners of the anime community.
now here i am, 22 years old, and a filthy weeb. still best friends with my weeb friend, and we watched pretty much every genre of anime together. is that gay? probably lmao
