I feel like every week for months now I've caught myself thinking about how Garnt might be the most unrelatable, yet not completely insane, person ever.
for sure. i agree with a lot of his takes, and even the ones i disagree with (the bread one lol) i can see how he would think that way and he just needs to try and not be stubborn about it to change his mind
is that what you decide to dedicate your brain power to
I actually relate to a lot of garnt's takes with the excepcion of his food takes
Oddly I relate more to Garnt than the rest. His takes actually lines up with most of my preferences.
if you live in asia you almost 100% would relate more to grant
I love how Connor goes from praising how the World Building is great with most characters, including secondary ones in GoT, but then immediately gets disgusted by the same idea in an RPG series.
Hearing Connor talk about plot and story structure in such an in depth way when talking about GOT gave me whiplash for a second there
Ikr. Monke shouldn't have that kind of way with words.
Story in games: I sleep
Story in TV/Movies: Real shit
@@SuperDeathgun Well makes sense cause why else would you watch a movie or Tv series?
That's what's so weird about him! It's not like he doesn't like plot and story telling, it's just that he HATES it in games. His ability to take in a story disappears once a controller enters his hands, it's uncanny.
@@sleeplessknight173 This is a weird analogy I'll admit, but it's sorta like how if you want to eat tacos but I brought you to a steak place instead. Steaks are great, but you were in a Taco headspace. You were in the mood for tacos, not steaks.
I have a few friends like Connor, and when they wanna watch a movie they want a movie, and when they wanna play games they just wanna play. Both are enjoyable things, but if they're in a gaming headspace they just wanna play and nothing else.
I could also be talking out of my ass with these thoughts though so def take it with a grain of salt lol, but that's how I feel it's like at least!
gotta love how joey's justification for keeping up with pokemon is literally just the sunk cost fallacy
Kind of explains why the whole Pokémon franchise banks on nostalgia bait more than anything else. Gamefreak knows their audience.
I mean maybe this is just me but I feel like you could say the same for most of nintendos franchises lol
@@Royal__Kitsune I mean, as they said. Metroid is still quality, so is Zelda and Mario. It’s just Pokémon that wouldn’t be given the time of day if it didn’t have that legacy behind it
@@Royal__Kitsune i have to disagree.
Mario games are still consistently well crafted both in the gameplay and graphical sense. And even if i haven't been a fan of the Breath of the Wild era of Zelda (open world fatigue is real) i could not even pretend to make the argument that the game is "shit" in the same way as the recent pokemon games, everything the game tries to do it does well and functions without any troubles. The Kirby games have been great, Animal Crossing still goes hard, Metroid Dread is easily one of my favorites in the franchise, etc etc etc.
Nintendo does milk nostalgia but with most of the franchises they at least have the decency to make sure that the product is still good, Pokemon is exceptionally poorly made compared to the other games they put out.
@@Royal__Kitsuneyou are objectively wrong. Mario and Zelda is constantly innovating and pushing their gameplay and world building to the limit
Garnt explaining himself here reminds me of his "Life-Cycle of an Anime fan" video. You start out enjoying trashy shit, then you go thruogh your artisan phase of wanting to experience "complex writing" or "highly acclaimed" media, and then you get burnt out and finally reignite your passion by accepting you enjoy trashy shit.
Never thought I would hear about Trails in a Trash Taste episode. I think Garnt and Joey would really like the games. You don't need to rush through them, just play them at your own pace. Also, the games are filled with banger tracks.
Yeah trails is lit, I played most of them from June to November. I’ve taken a little break to play other stuff but I’m really excited to get back into it.
@@Guy811 I've been playing them since 2018 and took breaks between them to play something else too. I like to do that to avoid any burn out. Hope you keep enjoying the franchise. You are in for a great time!
Def one of my fav game series.
my absolute favorite jrp series
And then there's Connor with no concept of having to watch cutscenes-
A take I completely agree with Connor, having a generation of Pokemon where the types are NOT grass, water, and fire would definitely be interesting and almost a breath of fresh air
I wouldn't mind, but I can understand why they never changed it. Since the games are primarily aimed at a younger demographic, the red-green-blue triangle very quickly explains the concept of type weaknesses in a intuitive way. A kid won't have to ask why water is strong against fire. But if you have uhh psychic-dark-ghosts starters or whatever, the concept becomes more abstract from get-go instead of later on in the game.
Pokemon dark rising
I'd like to see a triad of Fighting/Psychic/Dark starters

All the Trails fans coming out of the woodwork after this episode. I love it.

INDEED! Garnt would be in danger if he got into trails, it's exactly his thing
What's the actual name of the series though. I know Atelier is a whole different thing that Garnt mixed up.
I would never thought I'd see the day Garnt mentioned Trails but I really really wish he's get into it cuz it just seems like something he would love, this is coming from someone who has Trails as his favorite series ever, seeing Garnt just thinking about starting it even if he prob won't just made me happy and excited for no reason lol
“This is coming from someone who’s never watched Game of Thrones by the way”
Classic Joey
yeah lmfao
So glad Trails is being mentioned, definitely an under rated series. really hope both Garnt and Joey gave them go whether off stream or on stream
The best series ever he needs to start with Sky trilogy tho pleasee
Everytime i heard Garnt and Joey talk about their love for a world building in media i was praying they would look into the trails games.
If Garnt get into Trails imma fucking scream from joy
I really hope they get into this
They perfectly captured my feelings about the series. I've been trying to dive into it for a couple of years now, but still haven't
You know trails is good when basic NPCs make continuous cameos across games that takes place in DIFFERENT countries and YEARS (Yes Ricky and Anton I'm looking at you.)
Legit, the Series is so good that it makes me sad when other modern Jrpgs (outside of Dragon Quest) doesn’t have the depth of characterization with NPCs as Trails.
I've noticed recently that Connor's open laugh hapoens more and more. Even half a year ago it was quieter but now it's just all out, 40yo dad in a pub after his football team won and he's had a few beers.
I love it
Throwing my hat in to support Garnt and Joey starting the Trails series. I always heard of Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel as cult classic RPGs in the past, but I properly gave the series a shot a few years ago and, and it's a wonderful journey. This is the perfect time to jump in as well with them finally pushing out English localizations of the 4th and 5th games (though Joey has the luxury of going through the games in Japanese, which are way further ahead).
It scratches a particular niche for RPG lovers. Definitely not for everybody (Connor definitely won't like them), but the series deserves all the praise it gets.
Yes!

Pink in the middle, but never rare, for me. I don't think it fits the taste of pork.
Pork literally has no terms it has to be well done. It's not like beef.
As another Trails fan voicing in for the franchize, I absolutely agree that it's an amazing JRPG and that the pay-off is definitely here. Garnt explained the premise quite well and it's definitely true that it has some of, if not, the best world-building I've come to know in any JRPG series ever. Literally almost every NPC has a name, its own story, 2 new dialogue options after every major plot point event, is capable of sorting out their own problems and some even reappear across multiple game arcs. You can still meet old NPCs you were used to seeing in the older games in the newer ones on the same spot too!
That being said yeah, as you could probably imagine, the games are very text-heavy, apart from doing fights, some main quests, etc, it consist of a lot of running around cities and actually talking to NPCs (I mean you can skip it and not do it, but I feel like it's such a huge part of the game that if you were to do that, the game is simply not for you). On top of that, with a lot of games to the series and with how the games are designed, I personally find myself having over 100 hours on every single one of these games (some of them even over 200). Now granted I do tend to play my games rather slowly and I'm more of a completionist, it's still definitely a considerable time-investment that you need to account for when you get into it. Pair that up with how the game is and that it has a turn-based combat system (which I absolutely love, but I fully understand its not for everyone), I do get why it may be a hard series to get into.
At the end of the day though, I still believe those absolutely epic moments where various characters get mentions from others you have only heard of up until that moment, when they actually meet and unite across different arcs, interact together, and fight together are absolutely amazing and you will grin from ear to ear after experiencing that awesome adventure.

Same, whenever they discussed Persona I thought to myself ‘damn they would really like trails’
I hope Garnt and Joey can both try it out, don't think it's for Connor
THIS! So much this! Joey and Garnt would definetly love the series, but Connor would loathe it. Every single game in the series has about as much text as a Visual Novel, after all.
Trails in the Sky SC blows every other JRPG that ever existed out of the water.

Connor seems to be getting ever so slightly more American with every passing episode.
I couldn't either.

You're a true trails fan if you're playing 8pm in the final chapter and finishes at 4am in the morning.
Man, you know you can't put it down once those climax of chapters hit the fan. That's the hype that I get in trails games that I can't get in other JRPGs.
lol, I heard Garnt saying "There's a very very niche JRPG series I've been thinking of getting into" and my mind immediately went to Trails, which I was playing whilst listening... and I was freackin right.
Knowing Garnt's tastes in games. I really think he would enjoy the "Trails" series of games. For those who would like to play these games, the structure of games is simpler than what Garnt said. It's really chronological, divided into successives games about (successives) stories arc. For example, the first 3 games are about Liberl arc and the names are trails in the sky 1,2,3.
So the only rule to follow is to pick any of the first game of an arc. You could start with Trails in the sky 1 or you could start with trails of cold steel 1 based on Erebonia empire arc. If you pick the latter, you will be spoiled about Sky arc at some point.
The earlier you pick, the more you will taste world building and enjoy the story but you really can start with any of the 1st game of a story arc. Its really depend how much time you want to spend (Starting from the first game its hundreds of hours)
It’s not “Trails of” it’s just “Trails”
He'd probably love the fuck out of the Xenoblade games
@@pokeboi5438 True
Trails is one of best series ever but it is HIGHLY recommended to play Sky trilogy then cross bell then cold steel in order
@@pokeboi5438 yeah he’s confusing tales of with trails
The thing with Game of Thrones is that the showrunners didn't even run out of books, they just ignored the direction that books 4 and 5 were going in and shoved a few plot points into season 5 while ignoring entire other plot threads (The entire Dorne plotline in the books for example was just thrown out the window, and Young Griff straight up doesn't exist in the show).
Tbh I anderstand some of the trimming down they did in the show(not all but some) in the end it's a tv series they can't put it all in. Cutting some new plot points that might drag down the heavy plot will be unwise move .and tbh that's one of my problem whit gourge. He probably didn't finish WOW because there was so many plots and charcter to tie down whit our making it collapse on its self it's almost impossible and probably stressful af..makes me Wonder what will happen if G didn't felt like adding so many new elements ..(still doesn't forgive what the writers did to our cathulu pirate)
Hearing the boys discussion around GoT reminds me of the dumpster fire in the Attack on Titan community when the manga ended. Really excited to hear the discussion here once it ends
Normally I don't want episodes to end, but I genuinely, whole heartedly did not want this one to end.
Trails series is amazing but you need to really like story and character development. The amount of dialogue in the game is soo detailed, random side characters on the street will go through full arcs if you talk to them regularly. So good, but obviously not for everyone!
Speaking of random side characters, Anton said hi
imagine next week comes and Joey randomly finishes Trails in the Sky FC like he did with 13 Sentinels.
My favorite arc is trails azure fishing guild, they went through a hell of struggle. I JUST STARTED COLD STEEL THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL YOU THAT KENNETH IS LAKELORD FUCKING BRO? This game is full of twist

For Trails, play in Japanese release order and you should be fine 👍
Perfect time right now as one of the older arcs--consisting of two games--is finally being localized next spring with the epilogue game for the 3 established arcs from the very first Sky game to now also being localized next summer.
I completely randomly got sucked into the Trails series about a month ago. I was just looking to buy a new game on Steam under the JRPG tag, and within hours I had somehow purchased all of Sky and Cold Steel in one go. I am waiting for Azure to drop to see if there will be a good sale on Zero. I say waiting but I have so much on my plate already as is.
Here for the Trails mention. I think it's right up Garnt and Joey's alley, and to anyone interested, Garnt made it sound more complicated than it really is, just start with the first game and follow release order if you want a great turn based JRPG series to try and are an enjoyer of rich story, dialogue, and worldbuilding.
(And I suggest talking to lots of npcs and doing plenty of side quests or you miss half the fun)
Yeah, it isn't Fate, you don't need hours of videos to get into.
@@MyVanir I mean, arguably you can do the same thing for Fate and follow the release order.
@@blurb9319 The thing about following release order is that F/Z being before the UBW and HF adaptations means that a lot of rather important parts of those get spoiled. Like, if you don't want the experience spoiled, you NEED someone to tell you what to avoid, while Trails is literally a linear experience.
@@MyVanir If you want to get technical about it, FSN was the first thing in the series that was released, then the FSN Dean adaptation, then the UBW movies, then Zero.
@@blurb9319 And if you want to get technical about it, you don't need anything besides FSN, FHA and the F/Z novels in that case.
I'm 100% with Garnt here and video game stories: I am not only here for pressing buttons, I need a story investment in a game.
Wack, I'm here to press buttons and get the .PNG that says I press buttons better than 98% of players
Same thing I have with porn. Give me depth damn it
If you haven't already try Hades, it's the absolute perfect mixture of gameplay and story.
I feel kinda split on this, my favorite games of all time are the Max Payne games, and they have tons of story, and yet I don’t really like the direction that modern games are going for where story is completely prioritized over gameplay
I enjoy story in video games but I also enjoy games that mainly involve the players skill with little to no story like the project diva games.( mainly because it's a fun rhythm game series). I love the story and gameplay for the death end request games. I'm hoping if they get a third game made it'll combine the best parts of both. Utawarerumono is a game series that's a slow burn story interspersed with bits of turn based strategy battles with fun combo gameplay. The emotional payoff of both mask of deception and mask of truth are great! I'm currently playing prelude to the fallen( the actual first game in the series that the U.S. got late') I imagine I'll feel the same even after having fully watched it's super condensed anime counterpart years ago.
Love the Trails series mentioned, I started with Cold Steel saga, and I'm continuing to work backwards to older games with enjoyment. Hope you guys will try the games in the future.

I doubt he will read the comments, but Garnt should really give the Trails series a try. It's one of the most rewarding stories in all of gaming.
The boys talking about Trails has made me so unreasonably happy. I really hope they go through it and be able to experience the emotions that hit me when I played that behemoth of a series.
This year, I just started trying to get through the Legend of Heroes games. I played the first two Cold Steel games, then realized I may need to go back to the Crossbell games (and listen to the Drama CDs via youtube). I am glad they are porting the Crossbell games to modern consoles, but I also want them to localize the high-definition port of the Sky trilogy and port them to modern consoles.
I was fist pumping so hard from Garnt just mentioning Trails. To the maybe 2 or 3 people that read this, don't let the mention of the 20 minute video intimidate you (there was a bit of trouble in the past where 2 earlier games didn't have English localization, BUT this problem has been fixed.). The series is long, but it tells a linear story across all its games (Japanese release order matches the order of events. It's not hard to follow). For those who don't want to Google anything, the order is Sky games, Crossbell (Zero/Azure), and Cold Steel (and most of them have the decency to be subtitled 1, 2, 3). Every single one of the games are on Steam (and a majority are on nearly every console).
You can play the first game Trails in the Sky FC on a 20 year old laptop. Also, it's dirt cheap. It goes on sale all the time for as little as 10 bucks. Yes, there's an intended (and ideal) order to the games, but it's really not that complicated.
Also, if you're not into JRPGs PLEASE at least listen to the soundtrack. It is one of the best soundtracks out there. Every game in the series has dozens of absolute bangers.
I haven't even played the trails games yet but I love the theme from the first dungeon in trails of cold steel 1. So pretty. I'm thinking of starting with trails from azure since it's on switch. I'm still annoyed cold steel's first few games aren't on switch in the U.S yet. I'll probably play my fiance's copies on the ps4 then.
@@yunogasai1338 Did you mean Zero? Azure isn't out until March and it's a direct sequel to Zero. If you do play it I hope you enjoy it. Crossbell has got some awesome tunes.
And yeah... it's a shame too. I really hope all the games get ported to switch but it's unlikely. The Sky games and the first 2 Cold Steel games were under different localizers. They did a SPECTACULAR job, but the games didn't really catch on until latter half of Cold Steel, so it changed hands. Xseed did awesome work, but they were way too small a team to keep translating a game as text heavy as trails.

the trails series doesn’t have a complicated order to get into.
You start chronologically but the first game is from 2004 and that’s how the high barrier of entry comes from. There are 12 games, but the problem plaguing the series for western players is the localisation taking ages. As of right now all Games 5, 11 and 12 aren’t available in an official english translation. Although Game 5 does get one early next year…
anyways it’s worth getting into, imo the best story and most memorable characters i’ve experienced in any jrpg.
The Trails series is my favorite JRPG series and it deserves more love then it gets. its a complete blast and I love all the characters and especially the world, I Highly recommend it to anyone who likes JRPGS
I was not expecting you guys to talk about the trails series lol. I LOVE it. Your literally playing an anime with characters that matter. A lot of dialogue tho Connor will probably hate it lol
Took me 3 tries to get into trails, I find the first game pretty slow at start but after I was able to finish it and Immediately go play the sequel I know I am addicted with the game and the world.
Around zero no kiseki(Crossbell arc), I noticed I am actually talking to every npc everytime they have new dialogues. Yes including the chests
Same thing happened to me. I've timed it between me and a bunch of other friends who have played it, it takes you 1 hour to get into the first battle. I fell off hard twice before even reaching that first battle, which is a shame because on my third attempt I got hooked the second I got into battle and heard that smooth ass battle theme.
The chest dialogue is one of my favorite things in the Sky and Crossbell games! Half the time I'm more excited for the chest's dialogue than its item. I'm really going to miss it when I get to the Cold Steel arc.

I didn’t know Connor was friends with so many game journalist. That’s what I can assume since he said he keeps hearing people tell him how complicated Ragnarok’s storyline is. Prayers to them eventually finishing the game.
43:12 It's so funny how Joey says sorry when Garnt talks about he watches Isekai, it's like Garnt did something so wrong in his life. (kinda true lol)
Yes! I mentioned Trails during one of Garnt’s streams a couple of months ago. So glad that he’s starting to look into it! Starting with FC is the way to go. Western releases are still catching up so feel free to take your time. Each game is easily more than 60 hours.
It’s not too hard to start, considering Garnt don’t really care about the graphics. So yeah starting right now with Sky FC and play casually sounds just right to me. If you’re going with 1 game per month(Sky fc, Sky sc, Sky 3rd, zero) and you get to March, which is when the next game comes out.
Speaking of being allergic to chicken, my grandmother took allergy tests like 3 years ago and found out she was allergic to chicken, freaking LETTUCE and TOMatos and White rice. What we found funny is that that's basically what puertoricans live off off😂😂😭
damn... nothing can make me stop eating arros con pollo....idc if i die
As a Brazilian, that's rough as fuck. That's also basically half of our diet.
Amazing episode :)
I recently started HRT about 2 months ago and during it I developed a sesame allergy. Hives just start appearing all over my arms which for me was the first time I've ever experienced an allergic reaction. HUGE L because my family is Laotian so I have to tell my parents I can't eat most homecooking like I used to. 💀
Are you on estrogen? I recently learned that women are more likely to have autoimmune diseases and an increase in estrogen either through puberty or HRT can manifest latent genetic autoimmune issues. Apparently scientists don't really know why yet. Sorry that's happening for you!!
@@acerpalmatum Yes! Spironolactone and Estradiol!
Oh my goodness, when Garnt was saying he was considering a new game series, I was just saying Trails over and over in my mind and when he said Trails, I was so happy
Jumped ahead to the Trails series section
Yes, yes Garnt and Joey, join the dark side
I have never heard of Trails series but now I'm interested.
Trails is absolutely worth falling into the rabbit hole for. It’s by far the best video game worldbuilding I’ve ever seen. Despite how many games there are and how it’s a 20 year old series, the longest game is about 60 hours which is cold steel IV, but all the others are around 40 hrs or less. Also it’s best to play if you have a pc since all the of them are available on steam and I highly recommend going in release order with the Sky arc first. I finished Sky and Cold Steel in two years while also doing college, work, and theater which includes six months when my laptop broke while I was playing Sky First Chapter and I had to start over when I finally got a new one. It’s really not as long as it looks, but the series does have a very dedicated fan base who care very deeply about the story and the world so, like my comment now, we tend to rant about it.
If you do play trails, start with trails in the sky, the story sort of compounds each game and it's honestly super fun, I highly recommend, just play it on release order (Japanese not western) and it'll be a good time
Agreed, Sky FC's ending is probably one of the best in the series (best ending song imo)
It's about time the Kiseki series is mentions on TT. Absolutely phenomenal series
It’s so rare for the boys to not jump at each other’s throats wen it comes to food hahaha Loved it !
I never wanted to start Trails. Put it off for years, but when i finally started last year. I played through 9 games with the best feeling ever, those games are by far the best world building and character building games ever. Such an underrated gem.
What a beautiful and elegant food convo without shouting
happy friday everyone, work is almost over! Let the weekend begin with another ep of trash taste, its a tradition at this point
Rewatching this episode before my IETLS speaking test, Thank you boys
Definitely give the trails series a go! Even if you just play the Sky series it's worth it for sure! Playing the crossbell arc I was riveted and excited by a political conference 😅
If Joey or Garnt stream the Trails series, I would watch EVERY episode...
Would love to see Garnt/Joey get into the Trails series
I get a MASSIVE debuff whenever I go to the UK. I get a made hayfever spell cast on me. Cut grass just makes me blind. This also never happened in all my years growing up there. Only after I moved to Hong Kong and then started visiting my parents annually.
Garnt mentions Trails:
Trails Fans: Allow us to introduce ourselves
Ive only ever played the Trails of Cold Steel arc and it was amazing! the character development with them is so cool!
trails series is worth it, seriously, there's a lot of detail in the writing even after it goes as far as the cold steel arc. the romance aspect of the cold steel goes a bit too far that it becomes a parody but it's still really good
This is peak Joey, never change dude, never change 👌🏽👌🏽
you know what..... ngl, Garnt and Joey talking about the Trails series.... actually kinda sold me on it!
As someone who has played exactly one Trails game (Trails in the Sky 1), I have to say it's probably one of the best JRPGs I've ever played and the one I'd recommend starting with. While it's a bit dated now, it has absolutely amazing worldbuilding and the thing that impressed me the most was the sheer amount of dialogue in the game. Basically, every time you complete a section of the main quest, every NPC in that area will have something new to say and some of them even have their own miniature story arcs, it's really impressive. In that game, even every chest has a different line of dialogue! In terms of difficulty, I'd say the game definitely has a learning curve and can be pretty difficult if you don't know what you're doing and don't set up your party correctly. The music is also very good as well.
In terms of length though, I'd say the game is pretty long and I have 73 hours logged with one playthrough, though a bit of that was probably AFK so I'd say maybe 60-70 hours of content if going at a leisurely pace.
Garnt you should definitely get into the trails series, start with sky first chapter or cold steel 1. Both are great starting points!
I can never agree with starting Trails are CS because the biggest twist from the end of the first game is just brought up casually in conversation in CS1 and there is just no gravity to it if you don't know what they're talking about. And then there is how closely the end of CS1 ties into the end of Ao/Azure. But more importantly then any of that so many people are in such a rush to get to Cold Steel 1 when I just don't think its worth it as a game, they introduce so many new characters at once they aren't able to spend enough time fleshing each one out, and then there is how repetitive and formulaic it is too that I can easily see people get turned off by it. I had a friend that started at CS1 and fell off because of how formulaic it was, and said friend had no problem getting into Sky FC.
Yall making me want to try trails damn okay ill def try it out when i got the time
@@makii4772 The first game its a very slow burn and is a ton of set up until what feels like 60-70% in, that's something you gotta be ready to put up with. It's still fun the whole way through but its but its more slow paced and relaxed with no major stake until later. With all the set up being all payoff in the next game. There are also fan patches that add voice acting from the vita version if you want those.
@@makii4772 i mean this is the game where every npc in crosbell (the main city of 4th game) has their own stories that they will tell you every chapter. Seriously awesome
Connor is so good at selling you a TV series that every time I cannot resist to go and watch the show
57:18 lmao Connor's face imagining having to play 30 characters over and over again
Always a good day when the boys upload
It’s always a wonderful time when the TT boys upload!!
every friday/saturday depending on where you live
fr I haven't watched the video yet but I'm excited
Cringe
If allergies a a skill issue, then Joey's Dad got gud to get over his shrimp allergy
1:36:52 i love tzatziki bro! And I’m not even Greek. But in any other place than Greece, tzatziki is hit or miss, imo. Greek food is also taste so nostalgic to me, since my family used to go on holiday to Greece when I was younger.
Merry Christmas my dudes! Here's to another most excellent year!
Been loving your Pokémon videos Joey! Such a great attitude and fun times.
Yes finally! I knew Garnt would eventually be interested in Trails. It's a daring series with the amount of hours and content each game has but if some one can get into it is definitely Garnt. Hell, even small secondary npc's lives carry on between arcs. There is no way Garnt wouldn't love the Cold Steel games especially.
Man, hearing them talk about the Trails series as someone who grew up playing the original Gagharv trilogy makes me want to gatekeep everyone lmao. It's such a bittersweet feeling. I love those games.
Don't do it, man. I've been wanting to get into Armored Core after seeing the sixth game's trailer at The Game Awards, but the gatekeepers are already pissing me off.
For the trails series if you want the whole experience, start from trails in the sky. You can however start from the start of any country's arc though.
I started with Trails of Cold Steel and just recently started Trails in the Sky trilogy, with plans for Trails to Zero afterwards.
Can't wait for Garnt's (and Joey's) "Trails of" arc
