      One thing I like about carpentry is the pay off, both monetary and the finished product. Specially from where I come from and I'm sure it's even better in Japan considering their level of carpentry is in it's own tier of expertise compared to others.

    Your craftsmanship videos always has that calming affect with me. That's Ingenious using that magnetic base(Harbor Freight) as a alternative to the highly expensive magswitches for stop blocks and fence. Now I've incorporated that in my workshop. Thank you Ishitani Furniture!

    I am a biologist/botanist and have been studying Ginkgo biloba (as a hobby) in Japan for several decades, and with others have published a book on ginkgo science. Freshly cut ginkgo wood has a beautiful yellow as seen in the video, but unfortunately that fades rapidly as the surface oxidises. I have never seen such a large piece of ginkgo wood, quite amazing. Would love a piece of furniture made of ginkgo ! Otherwise, I am also a woodworking hobbyist (日曜大工) and greatly admire the skill and techniques shown here.

    The trip to the mill, those antique machines...i could spend an entire week looking at them :)
    That was a beautiful slab of wood you guys milled, and the cupboard that came out of it indeed, amazing. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to make these videos, they mean a lot to, those of us that seek a little bit of peace and quiet, so to speak.

    Chie, as I have mentioned before, your photographic and editing skills are very good. I feel you should enter one in a competition of some sort. Honestly, you are very good.

    I watch a lot of carpenters and l love the traditional hand tooling by the masters, the new “machine” produced furniture irritates me beyond belief, but you are so loving towards the wood and finished product, it leaves me feeling so good and amazed that wish l could own a piece you have made
