After viewing watch videos for years, your channel has finally shown up on my recommended videos. Great channel, I hope you start up making videos again. I’ve just subscribed- many thanks 🙏
Hi there! I'm still around, life just got busy and I don't post as often. Glad you are enjoying the channel and welcome. I try to do at least two videos a month :)
I have 6¾" wrist as well, and it fits perfectly, I went for the black version, stunning watch, the bracelet was a pain to size, but it is so comfortable 😎
Love the reference to the "Brookville"! Great choice. As for Citizen, it seems they are gaining traction for the last few years ... and that's a good thing. Thanks for sharing this one with us Jason. Hope all is well with you.
Thanks! Islanders are great! Yes, I'm really happy to see them offering some many great watches these last few years, excited to see what comes next. All is well, I hope you are too!
I got the white dial version, then sold it and bought the grey suburst dial version. I love it despite its two cons for me: 1. Lug length would be perfect if they were 45-46mm and 2. The clasp.
I’ve owned both the SARB and the NB1050 in black. The Citizen is a MUCH nicer watch. Unfortunately, amount (and quality) of highly polished surfaces make it less versatile than the SARB. The Citizen leans more towards being a dress watch.
I own the Seiko SZSB016 Japan 🇯🇵 import dress watch . This Citizen’s watch is very similar but with a better movement and nicer sapphire crystal than my Seiko watch. The dial is almost the exact color blue as my Seiko.
@@JustWatches1 I recently purchased the Citizen’s NY0086 Fugu on bracelet with the 8204 movement and the new Citizen’s Challenger NY0129 on bracelet from Amazon. As much as I love my Seiko divers these new Citizens watches are amazing 🤩
The male end links is the bigger con on this Citizen. I would pick the black version, swap to a black date wheel and swap the hands to dauphine hands. Or Seiko should come back with the sarb.
I own the white dial version---I put it on a Strapcode superfine mesh and it exudes a vintage King Seiko vibe (you may dispute the comparison, as you actually own a vintage KS). The bracelet is an absolute dog--typical of many JDM pieces. The finishing, simplicity of design, and the clarity of the crystal are all pretty great. As another commenter mentioned, it's not quite understated enough to be a full GADA watch, and leans on the dressier side, but very nice overall for the price.
I don't dispute the comparison, I can definitely see it! I agreed JDM bracelets are lightyears behind everyone else, really disappointing in that way. I agree it is a bit too dressy to be a GADA as well.
Citizen is doing some good things now. I’m loving the 1060 lacquered silver leaf dials 👌
nice, that is a fantastic watch. Yes, I am keying an eye on Citizen these days.
Diamond cut indices with confirmed Zarastu polishing and fine brushing on the blue sunburst dial with high beat movement for 400 € is a steal.
Yes, this a fantastic watch.

Yup and once you get it sized you are all set at least! I bet the black dial looks excellent - enjoy it!

Yes, the clasp isn't great, and the lug to lug is pretty annoying. I have a strap I'm going to try it on that for a while!
Perfect timing, Jason. I was just about to pull the trigger on one. Your video just convinced me.
Awesome, please let me know how you like it when it arrives!

This is one nice Citizen! Great review mate!
Thank you for watching :)
Beautiful watch and excellent review 👍 thanks for the other watch comparison
Very welcome! glad you enjoyed it :)

Yes, I can see that and I agree I think the Citizen is much nicer, but the Sarb has a bit more charm :)

Oh nice, thanks for reporting in on that watch!

Just pulled the trigger on the black version, pretty stoked. 28800. Us a crazy rate for this price
Nice pick up, this is a fantastic watch!

If Seiko would actually bring something like the Sarb back that would be so exciting.

Looks great
Thanks for watching! ;)
Excellent review. Totally agree with the lug-to-lug length, that is the only reason I wouldn't buy one 😟
Right!? Come on Citizen!
Why only JDM ? Why?
JDM gets all the best stuff :(
Just an fyi, i have a 6 1/4 onch wrist, could not get a gopd fit, ans nonone makes a half-link foe this bracelet.
Thanks for reporting in! I can't believe they didn't do half links on this bracelet. Really disappointing.
I really don't understand how so many people struggle with pin & collar. It's so easy; what the hell are you guys doing?
Split pins are far worse.
I think once you get used to them they aren't that bad, but if you don't know what you are doing it is easy to lose the collars!
Very similar to Tissot gentleman
Good observation, I should have included that as a comparable.
