Seiko cannot remove the divers extension because it is a must have for the diver's ISO certification. They should finally give us an adjustable bracelet instead.
good review and watch! i have the spb143 and very happy with it, i like that the dimensions are a little bigger than this one, couldn't go any smaller. Also would recommend to push some of the pins to the middle of the bracelet, some are poking out
This is a nice watch but I purchased recently the SLA047J1 Marine Master 300 and the SPB105J1 MM200 and extremely happy with both . I love this new watch though if I did get one I’d get the blue one . I tried it on at a local A.D. it’s a very nice Seiko diver .
It's not a bad watch, I went in to try out this one and the SPB383 which I was drawn to most out of the two. Better level of finishing and a ceramic bezel.
If 0% of the buyers will use the divers extension then why you care to have a proper diving watch? Every single diver that I ever encountered that uses a seiko diver DOES uses the extension for the wet suit. That cheap extension is a must for a wet suit. Great rest of the review. Everything else is spot on.
Why does nobody understand that water resistance tests are static. You don't have to be 100 m down to feel the force that would be applied by the water at that depth. When these tests are performed, they're done with zero movement. If you're standing at edge of a body of water and threw your watch into the water it would experience forces greater than a single atmosphere even though you're at the surface
Case construction is ahead of competitors, Seiko brushing and polishing / diashield at the price point is great. The only issue with these Seiko SPBs is that they have to be worn in rotation because the accuracy will annoy most
Great review. I would prefer ceramic or sapphire bezel over aluminum any day. The two hole clasp w diver flip out are also silly and pointless. These days there seem to better options available Seiko either needs to lower their priced or up their game.
You scratched your watch so we don’t have to . that’s commitment from you sir.
Just got mine in Japan for around $950. It's nice to see a seiko diver in a size that's not built for King Kong.
Nice video.
I have also just bought this watch, absolutely in love with it.

Thanks for the review. I don’t generally like the date at the 4:30 position but does not bother me on this watch.

Great piece but I see it at £700 tops. I opted for the new 2024 Marine Master 300. Killer watch
I do wish the seconds hand pip were more central than the outer indices so there’s no overlap. But that’s really my only nitpick.
great review, thank you
Picked it up and immediately threw on a tropic strap 💯

and its a gmt with a 24 hour chapter ring and keeping the timing functionality of a dive watch
Proportions on the 453 are much better, though. The GMT diver is a heavy, chunky slab of steel on the wrist (some folks like that heft/size).
383 all day especially for the money
Great video, thanks!
It says 3 Days on it and that’s not cool; makes it look cheap. No sale.

私のこのコンパクトなブラックダイヤルは、購入当初動作時間は1日あたり -3秒でしたが、6ヶ月過ぎた現在は -5秒になってしまい、少し残念です。

Is the aluminum bezel❤easily to scratch
In Canada it’s at least 1500.00 😢
I have the SRPH17, cant see the reason to jump up to this, other than I MUST HAVE IT !!!!
It's an ok watch but definitely not worth more than £700.
I'd rather get a JDM SARX to be honest.
The dial, handset and bezel do look nice, but for that sort of money I would expect nicer bracelet and case construction.
Nothing wrong with the bracelet. It’s comfortable and well made. You don’t have to pay MSRP

Been wearing mine for 3 weeks, and love it@hammalamiri12

ahahahah
Seiko=corporate arrogance
The best sake of you can buy is still nowhere near accurate 🤣
Just go no date instead of this design mistake
