I just got the nb1050 from Sakura Watches. This was my first purchase from them and the order/shipment process went great for delivery to me in Central Calif. Not sure why they charged me for DHL shipping and then used UPS worldwide express but it all worked out fine. I really love the watch. I’m not one to get overly impressed with how fancy the packaging is in a new watch but Citizen is being fragile to say the least. The bracelet has received various poor reviews but I’m quite pleased with it. The pin and collar system was relatively easy to adjust and I was able to get a really good fit for my 7.25” wrist.
I have the NB1050 with blue dial. The dial is even more spectacular than the white/black versions. I do not have any problems with the bracelet. Like the bracelet very much.
I own both the blue and silver NB1050 watches. They are beautiful watches. I appreciate that the bracelet links are real multi-piece links. I got lucky with the fit of the bracelet. I also own the NB1041-84L and the NB1044-86P. The Citizen 9011 movement is accurate and looks great. For those looking for affordable quality, these hit the mark.
Now why would Any idioI want to put that Disgusting Clunky Bracelet on the Nicer watch? And what's so MIND-BLOWING about a $400 Citizen? You will get what you paid for in this case...even at $700 price point. The last time I bought a Citizen/Seiko or Orient at this price bracket, they ALL had some factory Defects. The Seiko had an Eye Lash stuck to the dial. Mass produced, Neglected Cheap Junk ! Yes, that can happen with a $5-50k watch...but chances are highly unlikely!
The 1050 is a great watch for the price, the duratect finish on the bracelet has held up over all other watches ive had in the same price bracket and even watches 300-400 more
So refreshing to see a comparison video with each watch synced to the exact seconds. Can't tell you how many reviewers out there compare two watches and they're almost always out of sync.
They're all so cool. I would have loved to've seen your NB1060's on the NB1050 bracelet though. At 19mm, it seems like the most viable bracelet option. PS. I think the additional cost of the silver dial over the blue is because the silver comes on a shell cordovan strap, vs calf leather for the other.
Hey man, amazing watches. Just wondering if you could provide a link to the strap that is on the silverleaf dial citizen. I am thinking about getting this strap and possibly installing it on the silver dial NB1050 that comes with the bracelet.
Bought the NB1050 b 19:30 blue face variant from Sakura. The watch itself is beautiful, understated and well finished. The bracelet is too light and feels cheap. I put it on a canvas band and it’s great. Followed up that purchase with a The Citizen AQ4080 also blue face, so I don’t think the NB will be getting much wrist time.
Quick question, I plan on buying the NB1050-59H which is the gray dial citizen watch. Do you think Sakura is a good place to get this watch in terms of authenticity and reliability of the watch?
Can anybody comment on the dial of the NB1060, how visible is it in person? I think I prefer that over the blue one but if you can't really see the dial then I'd rather get the blue one.
Is the dial in real life more white or silver-looking? And is there a difference between being outside or inside for the dial color? To me this watch is almost perfect but lately it seems more silver... and I'm really looking for a white crispy dial.
I agree I’m not interested in the 1050 bracelet on my 1060 Would be nice to have a bracelet option as nice as the stock sarx055/57 bracelet But I got a b&r aqua strap for my 1060 thanks to you and it’s perfect for it
I have the 1050-59a. It's my favorite watch. The band is meh, sure. Just a pure men's watch. I bought this because of your first review. Prices have dropped over a hundred bucks in just over a year! +5-7 seconds/day.
I don't understand everyone's obssession with a signed crown. The dial already has the logo in the most visible space. Nobody sees the logo on the crown anyway, it's one of those watch enthusiast's picky things that makes little sense to me.
I don't get why they always have to ruin an otherwise fantastic watch in one way or another. On the NB1050 it's the thin hands in relation with the thick hour markers and the practically non-existent micro-adjustment. I want to buy this watch so badly but I can't get over these two negative points. Why would you give a watch with long bracelet links only two micro-adjustments? I can't wrap my head around it. And the thin hands are what's bothering me with the Tsuyosa as well. Compare with the Seiko SNXS hands, that's how it should be.
I think that the hands are of appropriate width. Perhaps I got used to this style of indices because I also own an NJ0100 which shares the same thick trapezoidal indices combined with hands-wide stick indices.
Citizen just refuses to use female end links on their pieces, which is the main downfall on the nb1050. But they also look amazing on straps so it's still good for me
It is unfortunate that two of these watches are presented on the "right strap choices" . They look as though they should be fastened with Velcro and worn to match a geriatrics footwear in a retirement village in hell. I mean the patterned grey with the white lacquer is not a bad fit and almost works but the blue deserves much better. Hey I have the the black and white 1050's and purchased a simple black leather Colareb that functions perfectly for both. I covert the blue lacquer, knowing that the spare bracelet will fit and the blue band will work with the white, but waiting for a drop in price as I enjoy good but reasonably priced timepieces.
Noir darling? By versatile I sure you mean bland, beige, nondescript and possessing little by way of its own attributes. Lets say a banality. I am not sure of the use of the word literally in this instance. The use of the adverb very seems to compound the error.

Best affordable new line of watches of 2022 IMO.
For your info: Citizen also owns the movement maker La Joux Perrez
I just order my NB1060-12L today, I can't wait to see it in person
The lugs and the overall appeal is reminiscent of Grand Seikos.
And even more so of The Citizen sub-brand, especially the AQ6100 line.
Great comparison! The blue dial looks so damn good!
Been hunting for a white dial everyday watch and this NB1050 in whitey silver is probably the biggest hit for the price on the market. Amazing.
That blue is an eye catcher and just may be my next addition.
Great looking Timepieces. Pet peave- match the date window with the dial.

How is the accuracy?
@@Momo_8k All four are roughly +3 to +4 seconds per day.
@@mechanik1313 thank you. sounds a lot better than what I hear from Seiko autos.

A $400 Datejust? Sweet!
Fully agree on the bracelet. Either too lose or too tight. I wear it on a blue vintage leather strap, but would prefer bracelet though.
The blue dial is amazing!

the nb1050 looks stunning. now i ust have to decide between blue or white.

I don’t understand why they didn’t do the bracelet for the 1060 cannot find any bracelet online for this watch

Hi, what is the brand of these magnificent gray leather bracelets? THANKS
Delugs
These are super ice. Reminds me of SARB033 and 035 versions.

This watches are on my radar
Hello! Thank you for the review.^^ I have a question. nb1050 metal watch strap can be fitted to nb1060?? If so, can you show us how it is?^^
Yes. Same case.
I agree I’m not interested in the 1050 bracelet on my 1060
Would be nice to have a bracelet option as nice as the stock sarx055/57 bracelet
But I got a b&r aqua strap for my 1060 thanks to you and it’s perfect for it
what band is on the silverleaf citizen NB1050?
ua-cam.com/video/I9iVtcLmJdg/v-deo.htmlsi=NoF-PDCMNaoYht9u
- I’d say Citizen is best known these days for their Eco Drive.
👍👍👍

Nice, the 1050 are pretty unbeatable for value, I'm probably only so critical because of the 1060's, lol
CITIZENはアメリカで有名ですか?
Does the bracelet from the 1050 will fit the 1060?
Is it just me, or that blue dial is a homage to the seiko cocktail starlight?
Similar-ish but this one is A LOT nicer, the silver leave is way more dynamic than the pressed texture of the Cocktail
Te white dial just looks like maybe there is some dust under the dial 😄
Try the Seiko 3802-7020 from circa 1972, has a similar dial to the blue.
I don't understand why they always using unsigned crown...Put the Damn logo on your crown.

There is supposed to be at least that much gap in a bracelet. It shouldn't be skin tight.
I wish the 1060 had nicer logos. The text really cheapens the watch.
Tell me you have a cat without telling me you have a cat

nb1050 dial is too flat
