OK, so if it doesn’t matter that Torchic’s line already has a mega, I think that we should take in to consideration that there could definitely be, at least I don’t think y’all have said this yet, that we could get regional forms that also get mega evolutions. This is the perfect opportunity for them to do something crazy like that and I don’t think that it’s completely out of the question. 41:26 also, I think they keep putting Fletchling’s evolution line in the games because that is what they’ve chosen to be the national Pokémon representing the chicken for France and the Fletchling line for Kalos. It was the first Pokémon you see in the morning when it wakes you up in the intro cutscene to XY games. Also, speech to text sucks and I had to come back to edit the crap out of this line of thought. My apologies!
If we get a regional Blaziken then all torchic would evolve into the regional Blaziken. We wouldn’t be able to get a mega Hoennian Blaziken without home or a npc trade/gift
Maybe the canonical reason Zygarde never interferred with the threats in neighboring regions is because it has full faith in the trainers that rise up and stop it unlike in the past where Zygarde thinks he can handle whatever the threat will be in the Legends game by himself, only to realize that by teaming up with the main character, they can save the world which is what the overarching theme of Legends is.
1:46 depends on which English speaking country you come from. I pronounce the 26th letter as Zed, so my brain goes Zed-Ay, rather than Zee-Ay. And Zed-Ay happens to land closer to the assertion that it is supposed to be Zeta.
Battle Bond being retconned to, one, remove Ash-Greninja entirely, and two, remove the Water Shuriken boost (which was directly homaging what Ash-Greninja did in the anime) points to a new Mega Greninja, I think. There’s just no way Game Freak leaves the Kalos Starters as is, a trio of new Mega Evolutions just makes a lot more sense.
It‘s not "Zeta", "Zedda", "Zed to A" (although I like that one) or whatever in Japanese. It‘s "Zetto-E" in Japanese, which literally is just "Zed-A". No idea where Lumiosepost got the Zedda from. It‘s just Z-A spoken as Zed-A.

Around 1:09:00 ish you guys talk about the Tapu's / How people think they might be added due to them not being in Gen 9. I like this theory especially because we've randomly seen Tapu Koko get a ton of love in the TCG the past few sets. Would love to see them return!
42:09 I think, and HoopsandHipHop and MandJTV agree, that it will be Snivy, Scorbunny and Piplup. French, Napoleon and Soccer. I know Torchic works well but I do think the fact that Blaziken already has a Mega would affect their decision. And I would hope that they would be self aware enough to realize that Mega Incineroar is a terrible idea.
The starters will be Piplup, Snivy and Litten because that's the only combination that fits the aesthetic of France as well as a nice variation of types. Empoleon represents French military/politics. Serperior represents the French Royals and upper class lifestyle. And Litten could have a regional variant based on the PARISian cat, which would represent the church/religion/Notre Dame. All three are primed for variants more exclusive to French history that makes each aspect of it shine. The names of all three also fit the themes they'd represent. A political Empoleon as in Napoleon. A high class Serperior as in Superiority. And a priest-like Incineroar as in "living in Sin". Imagine a fluffy incineroar thats on all fours, lazy and "priest" like. . And then halfway through the game they'll give us Gen 6 starters with Mega evolutions like we got Kanto starters in XY.
Snivy, Litten, Totodile (give Gen 2 love again like with Cyndiquil)… only because I think it’s been too long since people have gotten a chance to use Litten in a game, and You only have to go back to Gen 8 for Scorbunny. Not saying I’m right, but that’s my logic for it lol
I don't really like megas as they will eventually be dropped again once the gimmick is abbandoned and all mega-mons go back to be as neglected as before. But I would love it if all megas would turn into a regional variant that stays like that (not as buffed as the real mega, obviousely) and can be brought into the next generation. Why needing a mega-Garchomp if you treat it as a Kalosian Alpha-Garchomp and keep it that way.
My take on a different kind of evolution besides Mega would be the bond evolution that ash and greninja had in the anime. So more Pokémon would be able to trigger the bond evolution with its trainer. Since they most likely put the synchro machine into the game, it would also make sense that they „revisit“ the bond phenomenon in PLZA. What do y’all think?

Anime graphics similar to Generation 6 should be the set standard in Pokémon. The Mario, Zelda, Kirby, and Metroid games always kept their own iconic designs, and they still sell and play great. SV pretty much failed that, like LumiosePost said, the characters look like dolls. Japan is even mad at how the said characters turned out when sex dimorphism and attractiveness are gone. Anime graphics can even save memory size to allow the National PokéDex, Exp. Share setting, overworld Ability effects, farming, reusable TMs, one-one TRs, optional HMs, rematches, Loto-ID, and other features to be in the Pokémon games. I still wish to return to the Japanese regions.
I love listening to people who don't understand anything talk about those things. One of the ways to pronounced Z in Japanese is "Zetto", which seems to be what this game is going for. So, in Japanese, it would "Pokemon Zetto Ay", but in English, it's still Z-A (either Zee or Zed depending on where you're from). Nowhere can I see does the katakana for the Japanese name read "zetta", nowhere. ゼッタ is how you would write it. This game's name is written ゼットエー. Zetto Ay is the best way I can write that for you.
Soul's saga of being so weirdly against gens 4 & 6 pokemon continues to amuse me lol. I do hope they give a lot of gen 6 pokemon megas. There's so much potential for a lot of them, and the neglected starters could definitely use it. The fossils and Noivern in particular would be awesome to see imo.

They have been giving gen 8 ALOT of attention and they could give the Gen 6 starters as gifts with megas but a regional forms for them as well is too much imo and wouldnt make much sense. If legends ZA adapted animal crossings seasonal cycle in real time this could be a way to introduce different pokemon during different seasons to extend playability just an idea!
I feel if they're bringing Megas back, they should bring the Hoenn Megas as well. I want my Mega Lopunny back. Also, I would imagine a lot of people in the "it's in the past" camp aren't doing so just because Arceus was, but because the specific event that's being referenced with this game (the Paris Urban Redevelopment Project) happened in the past. That event just so happens to have taken place within the same time period as Arceus, so it's kinda funny that we have 2 games set in the 1800s.
I really don’t see why we couldn’t get all the evolutions gimmicks. Cross gen, regionals and regional evos, rfakes, megas. The Kalos dex is small enough to where they could add all to pad out the volume.
If this game is in the past I think it's more likely we get variants that have megas because that would explain why we don't have them in modern kalos. If it's in the future or present then it would make sense for new megas to be discovered
I'm not sure if Mega Evolutions (let alone existing ones) should count as taking up slots of Pokémon, they're more like forms. When it comes to new designs and newness sure, that makes sense, but in total numbers, I don't know...
Imagine if they made a regional variant of Alcremie for Kalos. If they had Galar pokemon in Kalos, that would be cool! It would definitely mix things up (pun intended).
Trying to think of a hidden power podcast outro for y’all to do. And ya it’s easier said than done, all I got is the link between the move hidden power and it being super effective. Somebody’s gotta have an idea! I’ll try again next video lol
So my big idea or theory is that we’re going back in time from the present and changing the present by adding more Lumoise city. Let’s for example there are no shops. You go back in the past and help people move in. You get more shops in the present. There’s a wall that’s built in present that not in the past that hides an item.
I agree that the generation 3 anime was solid. however my favorite anime generations are 7, 6, 8 and 4. I would say probably in that order. I loved alola which is the opposite of lumi 😂 because I love the tropical vibes, and the lore was just so good
Another thing idk if it's interesting I just noticed , pokemon x and y also released worldwide simultaneously, so pokemon ZA is also releasing worldwide simultaneously, is it conicidense or throwback idk
Ask I can't remember the saying right now, but I think it was in Pokemon p l a and the same was like What endings make new beginnings or something like that
Whatever they do with Megas, I just hope that the final boss of Legends Z-A has a 100% accurate Guillotine, you know, in reference to the French Revolution 😂
Do we think they are going to include held items in LZA? There weren’t any in PLA so i’m curious to see how they’ll get around this with mega forms, i think it’d be really cool if they scrapped alphas in this game and put megas in the wild to replace them, with the main character unlocking some sort of keystone that works for every mega
It's most likely going to pronounced Zee too A as Zeta is the 6 letter in the Greek alphabet. I think theres going to be alot of new megas for gen 6 - 1 with a big focus on 6 and 5 as they only got one mega pokemon each in the original versions of X and Y.
The pronunciation is Z A, regardless of the dash. The Japanese pronunciation of Z is zetto, leading people to believe it is pronounced Z to A, but actually it is just zetto (Z) ee (A) making ZA. In other regions this might be Zed A, but not Zeda/Zettoa/Z-A, etc.
The XY custom clothes are the best overall. They do deserve more custom colors. Frilly Dress Green, High-Waisted Outfit Green, and Pleated Skirt Green would be possible. There should be more clothes for the boy player to match how much the girl player has. Let's Go is able to do that. I would suggest Short Jeans in the slots the Skirts would be at.
@@ShinntokuThat would not work because the models would glitch each other. Look at Let's Go since the player trainers do wear shirts and pants, but they are designed similarly to fit them, making sense to be asked "Do you want to play as a boy or a girl?" like Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX did.
@@LuigiTheMetal64 clothing can be designed in-game to fit both body meshes, many games have done it before, including Nintendo games like Animal Crossing
@@Shinntoku Even so, you have to make it so the characters are different from each other when looking at them and know where you are. When having limited custom options, it makes sense to only play as a boy like in RGBY and GS. I know you can not put in everything in one product.
@@LuigiTheMetal64 it's not hard to make the characters look different, especially when in something like SV the focus of customization was the character rather than their clothes. It's absolutely silly to think they somehow couldn't make the models look different while still having access to the same outfits
I missed the Flechingder thing in the trailer too, that’s pretty cool! Wonder if there would be any clues in the trailer music if you play the video backwards? 🤔
were most likely getting regional starters, not megas. if we were to get megas, it would be of the regional variant. It's completely fine since most regional variants are completely different
"No Pokemon that evolves with a stone, evolves further"...two minutes later, "Gallade got a mega evolution later after Gardevoir" lol didn't realize what he said
for the title the only difference is that Japanese uses the English pronunciation of the letter Z as “zed” instead of “zee” like Americans, so Z-A sounds like “Z to A” when pronounced by japanese people, but “zee-ay” is still correct 😊
Dragonite is the only fully-evolved pokémon that I’m certain will never mega, simply because of what they’d have to call the stone. Edit: One (or two in the case of Paldea) pokémon I’d mega from each generation: 1. Jynx (to make up for a lack of gen 4 evolution) 2. Slowking (because Slowbro) 3. Flygon (self-explanatory) 4. Frosslass (because Glalie) 5. Kyurem (for a peek at the original dragon) 6. Florges (to finally give it Grass type) 7. Naganadel (I just think it’d be cool) 8. Basculegion (because why not) 9. Armarouge and Ceruledge (more along the lines of my reasoning for Naganadel and Basculegion)
In Dragonite’s defense, it’s called Kairyu in Japanese, so I doubt they’d be considering that. Plus, even so, Gardevoir is called Sirknight in Japanese, so it’s mega stone is called the Sirknightite
What if the mega evolution we know today was stronger back then. Maybe so strong it caused zygarde to split itself. So maybe what mega evolution is when a Pokemon merges with the DNA of a past future form of itself.

Regional evos with Mega forms? That would be sick, right?
@@infra_r3d133 oh hell yeah it would be. I’ll take a Mega Obstagoon or Sirfetched
42:23 Cinder and ace are both words with French origin, and the rabbit is a national animal of France, unfortunately...
Cinderace also has something that very much resembles a fleur de lis on its head.
Saying pokemon AG is better than XY anime is the most delulu thing ive heard this year 😂. No shade that was just wild to hear!
1:12:02 there would be five tapus one for each arrondissement in Lumiose.
I think maybe the starters will have regional forms instead of mega evolutions
Imagine if they made a regional variant of Alcremie for Kalos. If they had Galar pokemon in Kalos, that would be cool! It would definitely mix things up (pun intended).
Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon Legends Z-A 2025?
Trying to think of a hidden power podcast outro for y’all to do. And ya it’s easier said than done, all I got is the link between the move hidden power and it being super effective. Somebody’s gotta have an idea! I’ll try again next video lol
So my big idea or theory is that we’re going back in time from the present and changing the present by adding more Lumoise city. Let’s for example there are no shops. You go back in the past and help people move in. You get more shops in the present. There’s a wall that’s built in present that not in the past that hides an item.
I’ve seen so many people say this and I feel like it would be cool
I agree that the generation 3 anime was solid. however my favorite anime generations are 7, 6, 8 and 4. I would say probably in that order. I loved alola which is the opposite of lumi 😂 because I love the tropical vibes, and the lore was just so good
Another thing idk if it's interesting I just noticed , pokemon x and y also released worldwide simultaneously, so pokemon ZA is also releasing worldwide simultaneously, is it conicidense or throwback idk
I’m pretty sure all Pokémon games do that now
Ask I can't remember the saying right now, but I think it was in Pokemon p l a and the same was like What endings make new beginnings or something like that
Whatever they do with Megas, I just hope that the final boss of Legends Z-A has a 100% accurate Guillotine, you know, in reference to the French Revolution 😂
That logo looks like it could be a flare
we need an updated ad with the new merch 😇
Do we think they are going to include held items in LZA? There weren’t any in PLA so i’m curious to see how they’ll get around this with mega forms, i think it’d be really cool if they scrapped alphas in this game and put megas in the wild to replace them, with the main character unlocking some sort of keystone that works for every mega
New Villion form!?
im calling it Legends Z to A, until officially said
It's most likely going to pronounced Zee too A as Zeta is the 6 letter in the Greek alphabet. I think theres going to be alot of new megas for gen 6 - 1 with a big focus on 6 and 5 as they only got one mega pokemon each in the original versions of X and Y.
I think Kleavor will get a mega as a counter part to mega Scizor.
They should just let every character wear every outfit, then it works double the amount of clothing options for everyone
maybe we’re in the past but through space-time distortions we could see the future (present) Lumiose City🤔
i also knew megas evantually would come back since theyve been sprinkling them about
I been hoping they create a generic mega.. no main form change, less stat buff.. at least Pokemon can use it
were most likely getting regional starters, not megas. if we were to get megas, it would be of the regional variant. It's completely fine since most regional variants are completely different
"No Pokemon that evolves with a stone, evolves further"...two minutes later, "Gallade got a mega evolution later after Gardevoir" lol didn't realize what he said
I hope we get the original Kalos starters as our starter Pokemon, but each with mega evolutions.
I hope the give Zygarde a Cerberus like 30% form, that’d be so sick
for the title the only difference is that Japanese uses the English pronunciation of the letter Z as “zed” instead of “zee” like Americans, so Z-A sounds like “Z to A” when pronounced by japanese people, but “zee-ay” is still correct 😊
Dragonite is the only fully-evolved pokémon that I’m certain will never mega, simply because of what they’d have to call the stone.
Edit: One (or two in the case of Paldea) pokémon I’d mega from each generation:
1. Jynx (to make up for a lack of gen 4 evolution)
2. Slowking (because Slowbro)
3. Flygon (self-explanatory)
4. Frosslass (because Glalie)
5. Kyurem (for a peek at the original dragon)
6. Florges (to finally give it Grass type)
7. Naganadel (I just think it’d be cool)
8. Basculegion (because why not)
You guys think Volo would be the one responsible. He did say he's traveled around. Possibly this takes place before legands arcues. Hens the name ZA
Do you guys think Legends ZA is still gen 9? and there still going to make a Gen 10 mainline game where VGC takes place?
Yeah, I’d say still gen 9-as PLA was still Gen 8
Wailord in legends would be awesome
Soul's hair is so Majestic
What if the eevee evolutions got a mega that was the same for all of them
Like the applin line for the gigantamax form
I hope not, the Latias shared mega was bad.
I would like to new eevee evolutions before any else but game freak is just lazy sometimes
What if all Pokémon stay as their first forms and only evolve during battle, so in a way almost everyone has mega evolutions
Happiny needs an oval stone and then friendship to evolve
What if the mega evolution we know today was stronger back then. Maybe so strong it caused zygarde to split itself. So maybe what mega evolution is when a Pokemon merges with the DNA of a past future form of itself.
Ayo let’s go “Pokémon Zingo” is going to be
😬👌
There is a non zero chance that megas return as Kalosian forms. No change to stats, only appearance
True, but also, there could be regional forms that ALSO get mega evolution
@@infra_r3d133 I just want my boi mega Blaziken to come back. I never got to use one since I was in a lull between gen 4 and gen 8
What if Klefki had 3 mega forms that depend on which of it's 3 keys it uses to unlock it's mega
"Zeta" sounds like how Z is pronounced in French...
Im unsure on torchic just because we already have mega blaziken. If torchic is there we will deffo get regional evolutions and megas so we get a different blazilen mega but then if we are getting a mega regional empoleon have we really got mega empoleon.
Mega Z is just any pokemon fusing with zygarde cells for a new armament like skurd from ben 10 lmao
