Hoy Quarlow used to wreck me when I first got to him. SO viciously that I remember thinking Id never beat him lol. Learned the puzzle though and eventually beat him and the game.
Punchout are the greatest puzzle games in the industry IMO. I love the way its presented as a boxing match and forces you to learn the patterns and solutions..
I'm no boxing expert, but Nick Bruiser really shouldn't have been walking into your range so slowly with his hands down like that. Bush league!

Fun game, wish there were more boxers though. I actually beat it again a few days ago; I finished a YPbPr Component video mod for my original SNES (turns out the early models with a certain video encoder chip supported it all along!) and I had been testing all the games, and this one was fun enough to play through again for the hell of it! Super Macho Man and Hoy Quarlow gave me the most trouble, but within 2-3 days, I think the difficulty is as such that the game is beatable within that time.

nice job , but the final boss ai is too easy. at least in mike tyson's punchout there's random ai tyson uses so you cant defeat him on perfect no dmg
