I work in a court system. One of our judges sentenced someone to something like 300 years. The guy said, uh, Judge, I don't think I can serve that many years. Judge said: "Do your best."
I love how you deep dive into behind-the-scenes stories. I often find watching true crime leaves me with more questions than answers but not with you. You do a great job going into the deets! Also, I appreciate your compassion.
Ok, the handcuffs. That's funny because your impression is actually spot on! I've had patients in the ICU who are on life support, but they're "in custody" and the guards won't take the chains off. I could totally see the patient deceased and going to the morgue and the guards are like, "nah. Nice try." 😅 Seriously though, when a person is going for a forensic autopsy, everything on their body must stay until the autopsy, so IVs, catheters, breathing tubes. We can't remove anything. Especially restraints, even the soft medical restraints.
that's really interesting!! i'm always fascinated by little fun autopsy facts...if they can be considered fun. but yeah keeping the restraints on dahmer totally seems like something out of silence of the lambs haha
It’s incredible to watch your channel grow. Congrats on the amazing success at just being yourself and telling stories of those no longer here to do themselves.
One of my medicine Dr's told me about the time they did an assimilation of what a schizophrenic hears, feels, and all the things they go through. She said she had to rip the machine off her head, because she could not take it. That says a lot about what they have to deal with. She was blessed because she could just take the machine off and live her life. I feel for anyone that thinks medicine is changing them, because it is, they hate that change and want to feel normal which is hearing the voices and all. I feel so sorry for them!
Been looking forward to this one, Emma!!! I didn't know anything about this case, other than Dahmer had been murdered by a fellow inmate. Thank you for your research, dedication, compassion..but humor as well. You are appreciated. 💜

The Recent Dahmer buzz reminded me of this channel. People have told me I should watch the Netflix series but as I pointed out to them, "why are you watching this?" what a coincidence i was just talking about this with my mom today (who lowkey is the one i got my true crime interest from) can't wait to hear what you have to say emma, your videos are the best
I've wondered who the killer of Dahmer was - so thank you! The only disappointing aspect of the story is that he did not have a drilling machine and a bit of acid at hand when he did it. Otherwise, a rare and very satisfying illustration of "what goes around, comes around".
Have you seen the series on Netflix: DAHMER - The Monster? I wasn’t going to watch it because I didn’t want to give that creep any time even watching that…. But someone told me it was a really good series so I did. As bad as he did all his victims I actually came away feeling a bit sorry for that guy. He was truly sick and couldn’t stop. The entire circumstances all the way around are very very sad. (Now I will watch what Emma has to say).
@@jacksgl777 I watched the series, yes. I think it did not cover at all the occult aspects of his preoccupations. The scene where he watches a movie with his intended victim? Well, they don't show what he was watching. It was Exorcist III, which is about a demon giving power to a serial killer. Dahmer felt he was getting the same power from watching that movie. He went into a sort of trance watching it - and the guy who got away stated this to the police; it's on record. He admitted in interrogation he watched that movie every time. He even bought yellow lenses to look more like a demon and wore them on the prowl; he felt they gave him power. The series never showed his altar, what he meant by it, what was the altar made of; how he intended to complete it. What books he read. It showed nothing of what he did to stimulate, increase in him the desire to kill and build his power as a killer. That's why I did not like the series; nor do I have any sympathy for him, really.
Emma , loving your work ! Just watched you on ‘this morning with Isla traquair, your stories and all podcasts are addictive! Keep them coming x Ps …. You looked amazing on this morning, your boots are perfect ! Love your look & style .Me & my husband love your work been listening for ever, always waiting for next story x
So excited to see you live in Worcester next year! Bringing my whole fam 😊 Great job on this on. Personally, as someone who worked in the Prison system - this always felt like a planned, goaded attack. Those guards deliberately either set up or turned their backs on those murders. Also I always wanted to know how Scarver got hold of that news clipping. The guy had been inside for 4 yrs, Dahmers case was years before - I suspect the guards brought it in and whispered into Scarvers ear. They used a mentally unwell man who could easily be manipulated into anger against certain individuals.
IDK if you've watched the Netflix drama but in that it, THEY show Scarver going to the prison library and I'm sure he must've because he didn't know anything about Dahmer's murders until then. He had to basically beg his way in (if memory serves me correctly) and that's when he found all the newspaper articles and such on Dahmer. I venture to say he managed to keep a page from one of them. Just throwing out an idea. EDIT: It was said that Dahmer was getting so much fan mail that a designated room had to be allocated for just his mail. The guards were sick of him...didn't like him...so I have no doubt it was a planned situation, either...and they knew who to put with who and disappeared or watched it happen and did nothing to stop it.
Emma i Love the way u talk about what’s u think is taking place in ur thoughts, it truly makes me laugh but i Also know All these cases are terrifying & super Serious, Tnx for this case as i didn’t know how Dahmer died, Tnx

I much prefer Emma’s UA-cam to her tv shows. She can finally take all the time she needs to properly cover these cases in detail. She’s undoubtedly one of the very best true crime creators here on UA-cam! ❤️🌹❤️
She does awesome either way. It's her knowledge and compassion that matters. The more people she reaches, whether it be TV, Podcast. It matters. Everyone may not watch podcasts, so if it's her on tour, or TV, podcasts. All the more people she reaches. Love from Canada Emma 💜
Hi Emma!! Thank you for all of your hard work🙏I do love your sarcasm 😁You are the best!! I was wondering if you have ever done a video on Arthur Shawcross? I am from the same area as him,but I never see much about him out there. Again, thank you so much for being you.
Thank you Emma for all the detail. I knew a lot about Dahmer, but not much about the man who killed him. Thank you for all your hard work to bring these cases to life. You are brilliant! X
uuuuh that will be a super interesting evening dear Em. What fascinates me most about this murder is that Jeffrey Dahmer had zero defensive wounds! He just let himself be beaten to death without putting up any kind of resistance. As he has asked over and over, since the beginning of his trial and in the documentary on Netflix (where his conversations with his defense attorney are actually played for the first time) to give the death penalty for him. But unfortunately it was not possible in Wisconsin. I believe him unquestioningly that he did not want to live his life anymore. And I really think that he couldn't or didn't want to live with the guilt anymore. For me he was a completely lost person, who tried his whole life desperately to find love and not to be abandoned all the time. Love from Germany Tina and Roommates Emil and Emma 🙂
My 14 year old hears voices and regularly has conversations with these voices. He also thinks we’re his fake family and can hear his real family talking through the walls to him. CAMHS have said on 5 different occasions that there’s nothing wrong with him. They also told someone I know that she was okay when she jumped off a bridge to kill resell. I guess if she hadn’t survived it, they would have said it was a mental health issue. CAMHS are useless af. Meanwhile, my sons mental health continues to deteriorate, but we cannot get any help. I know this video isn’t about this, but I thought I’d mention these when you spoke about auditory hallucinations.
I feel in the end Dahmer had no way of fighting back. Yeah he was physically fit but most of his victims were drugged before they were killed and none of them fought back. It must have been something that Dahmer hadn’t come across so even if he had wanted to defend himself he didn’t know how
This will be another great episode Emma. I've recently watched the Netflix episodes of the Dahmer case and I've also watched a lot of the court proceedings to compare both, for they're accuracy. Usually I feel disgust and hatred for serial killers as normal people would, but I don't know what it is about the Dahmer case that leaves me feeling heartbroken not only for the poor victims, but for the fact that Dahmer became this monster. Logically I should hate Dahmer and be happy that he was killed, but all I feel is sadness that this happened in the 1st place.
I feel the same, he's so lost & in desperate need of love & affection. But that led to horrific actions. I do believe if he had been raised with love, he would of never killed.
@@paulakittyodriscoll999 He could’ve had love and affection with some of the men he brought back to his apartment, killed, cooked and then ate, but he couldn’t be bothered with others’ needs and emotions. I feel sorry for the little boy he was that got no love or affection, but not the adult male x
He is a very complex individual, not like most big serial killers. That’s why he is fascinating. You should check out the Behavior Panels Dahmer episode
I don't feel sorry for Dahmer, but I agree, he's different than other serial killers. Since he had been cooperative, I think so much research into the mind of a monster could have been learned. The guards definitely looked the other way, should never have been in that situation.
PSA Just because someone has been diagnosed with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder does not mean that they are a threat to anyone. 9 times out of 10 a murderer/serial killer also have other mental issues as well that causes them to lash out. Also, schizophrenia/schizoaffective is not related to multiple personality disorders. Multiple personality disorder is in a category all it's own.
Dearest Miss Emma, Not only r u the perfect representative of an "English Rose", U have been truly blessed with so much more. I am without a doubt, a faithful and loyal fan of each and, every one of your videos. There is no one that presents a case and it's content, the way u do. U r an original who's incredibly intelligent, insightful, empathic and a whole lot of funny in your own right. I especially love it when, u play out certain individuals and, situations in a totally relatable fashion. I think u r absolutely the # 1 presenter of true crime. And, u certainly know your stuff. I have a little fun fact for u as well. When Dahmer was killed in prison with a "dumbbell", I found it kind of interesting and, poetic that he should meet his end, with that particular "murder weapon. Considering that he himself used a dumbbell to murder one of his victims in the same manner. By literally causing blunt force trauma with said dumbell. How fitting and a touch ironic. These murderers that u spoke of today, r all guaranteed lodging for eternity in Dante's 9th circle of Hell!! As for their unfortunate victims, may they all rest easy and, find comfort in their celestial kingdom. One last thing, Miss Emma, U Rock!! Respectfully, THE QUEEN. 😎👑☮️🌈🌄
@@WakeyWakeyEggsandBakey yeah I thought that too originally, but then having considered the other guy was killed too, I'm not so sure. But we will never know! Perhaps the only intended recipient was meant to be Dahmer & Scarver got carried away! It was certainly 'ideal', for want if a better word, how he ended up in there, the guards disappearing, knowing scarver had a grudge, from what I've heard. How ironic too, Jeff's first victim, Stevie Hicks killed with a barbell - and Jeff's demise exact same method. Karma calling, shall we say? Or mere coincidence, I like to think a bit of both! They hinted heavily at this in the Netflix series didn't they, the set up, but the series was so heavily embellished & fictionalised, far too much so for my liking. Have you watched the dahmer tapes? I was recommended to view them, so glad i did, really worth a watch & listen , it clarifies so much , straight outta the horses mouth! I don't understand why so much was altered, when it wasn't necessary, like Glenda being a neighbour, when she lived in the next building. Wasn't her who got given ( and ate 😳) the sandwich. Jeff's grandma also didn't throw the mannequin away, she found it and was upset, so Jeff threw it away. Lionel also knew nothing of the roadkill. Jeff didn't have a relationship with Toni, the mute guy. It pis$ed me off a little, afterwards, as after listening to the tapes, the Netflix comes across as almost cartoonish, is that a word? 😆 I couldn't watch Emma's episode yet, i was half hour in and felt a migraine coming on, so am going to watch later. Go check out the dahmer tapes if you haven't already done so! ✌🏾💜

Keep them coming x
Ps …. You looked amazing on this morning, your boots are perfect ! Love your look & style .Me & my husband love your work been listening for ever, always waiting for next story x
Great episode ! Thank you.
Thanks Emma, a great one. I have never heard about Dahmer's killer before.
Thank you for explaining schizophrenia. Learned a lot. I have a Bachelor's in psychology!
You have me laughing on your antics. Love watching you
amHi Emma thanks for doing this case found it really interesting finding out about this man. Really enjoy listening to your videos x
You really make me laugh Emma

You are a excellent storyteller
Have a great day xx
My favorite part!
Emma i Love the way u talk about what’s u think is taking place in ur thoughts, it truly makes me laugh but i Also know All these cases are terrifying & super Serious, Tnx for this case as i didn’t know how Dahmer died, Tnx
I love your shows! Your insight into the mind is so helpful! Also love the self discussions you have! "But the cap..."
Even monsters have a code to live by
Omg my stomach and cheeks hurt from laughing at your awesome humour! And I really need to laugh 😊
Love your sense of humour brilliant and your compassion , fantastic channel....
I love you! 😂
You make me laugh until I pee my pants some times lol
I agree with you on so many things and would enjoy talking to you and getting your experience/expertise on a lot of life topics and issues.
You have the best intro music on UA-cam!!!!!
They could possibly still get parole with a 900-year sentence 😅 the way our fkd up justice system works ?
This is going to be a very interesting. Just saw you Emma on "The killer in my family". You did an awesome job. It's the first time I've watched the show. We need more people like you in this world. 💜
Great video as always Emma! Love your work 💯
Feeling disrespected when the person you are robbing doesn't have enough money is the weirdest mix of feeling oppressed and entitled at the same time
Yeah, people hold Scarver up as a hero because he also killed Dahmer and Anderson, but he was also a murderer before that and shouldn’t be praised.
the only time a racist gets called a hero.
Hi Emma!! Thank you for all of your hard work🙏I do love your sarcasm 😁You are the best!!
I was wondering if you have ever done a video on Arthur Shawcross?
I am from the same area as him,but I never see much about him out there. Again, thank you so much for being you.
I've read about him/ seen a few videos on him but I'll always appreciate your coverage Emma! Great video.
Thank you Emma for all the detail. I knew a lot about Dahmer, but not much about the man who killed him. Thank you for all your hard work to bring these cases to life. You are brilliant! X
I can't wait to see how you cover this one
Looking forward to this, thanks as ever Emma! ❤
I hate racism. BUT JD was NOT racist. He preferred black men. That’s NOT racist.
Emma😂- The hypothetical convos have been elevated to *chef kiss* comedy Gold 😆
First time I've seen him covered. Thank you!
Very interesting thanks for your hard work.
I Love your scenarios and discussions
Can't wait for this one.. its gonna be a really interesting one for sure
It really was interesting to research xx
@@EmmaKennyTV well I can't wait to see your take... See you Sunday at 7 lovely x
Ohh can’t wait for this one thanks Emma
uuuuh that will be a super interesting evening dear Em.
Very interesting because as a psychopath, like he was I'm pretty sure known as, I thought he wouldn't be able to feel remorse.
@@australien9455 except he wasnt a psychopath. That was not his diagnosis. His diagnosis was BPD and schizoid personality disorder
He was likely a sociopath but not a psychopat. And he expressed a will to die several times
@@australien9455 he's not a psychopath, he has borderline. (most ppl with borderline could never hurt anyone though.)
also it's not true that they "can't ever feel remorse", my partner is diagnosed ASPD and there's something he's been remorseful about.
Emma you have made me laugh out loud tonight with your humour xxxxx
That must be really tough. I really hope you get the right help soon x
Wow i hadn't heard all of this information before. Thankyou
Defiantly makes sense doing this case now, excited for this one xx
"Sometimes it takes a monster to kill a monster" deep a.f
ooh I can't wait for this one 😃 literally just finished watching Dahmer on netflix and the tapes
I feel in the end Dahmer had no way of fighting back. Yeah he was physically fit but most of his victims were drugged before they were killed and none of them fought back. It must have been something that Dahmer hadn’t come across so even if he had wanted to defend himself he didn’t know how
They're not exactly skin tight but how in the hell does someone conceal a five pound metal barbell in one of those prison uniforms ?
I just heard you in a deep dive and glad I did. Thoughtful takes and yeah, British accent. Good job. Cheerio!
I'm sleep drunk and cracking up at the Cannibal Support Group "interactions"
WOW. I had so much going on today that I forgot it was even Sunday. I just finally got to sit down, saw this and thought perfect way to end my day 😍🤩
Oh my can’t wait for this em 😘
@@paulakittyodriscoll999
He could’ve had love and affection with some of the men he brought back to his apartment, killed, cooked and then ate, but he couldn’t be bothered with others’ needs and emotions. I feel sorry for the little boy he was that got no love or affection, but not the adult male x
He is a very complex individual, not like most big serial killers. That’s why he is fascinating. You should check out the Behavior Panels Dahmer episode
I feel the same
I don't feel sorry for Dahmer, but I agree, he's different than other serial killers. Since he had been cooperative, I think so much research into the mind of a monster could have been learned. The guards definitely looked the other way, should never have been in that situation.
Another great, deep dive from Emma! Nice one Em xxx 👍 ❤️ xxx
PSA
Just because someone has been diagnosed with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder does not mean that they are a threat to anyone.
9 times out of 10 a murderer/serial killer also have other mental issues as well that causes them to lash out.
Also, schizophrenia/schizoaffective is not related to multiple personality disorders. Multiple personality disorder is in a category all it's own.
After binging the Netflix series I’ll deffo be tuning in
Dearest Miss Emma, Not only r u the perfect representative of an "English Rose", U have been truly blessed with so much more. 😎👑☮️🌈🌄
Ahh! A Scarver / Dahmer episode! Class! Thankyou Em & Dusted, I have my theories about this scenario... till tomorrow guys!
Xx✌🏾 💜 xX
Yes me too... imo it was a set up by the authorities. 🤔
I couldn't watch Emma's episode yet, i was half hour in and felt a migraine coming on, so am going to watch later.
Go check out the dahmer tapes if you haven't already done so!
✌🏾💜
Always wanted to know what happened to Dahmer.. Thank you Emma, for doing this one.. Explains alot xx Good One xx
Emma even the BORG couldnt make me comply
