  • We run the Fusion S Series heads through multiple genres, playing styles, and basses to show off its unlimited tone potentials. Please listen with headphones for the best experience and let us know which sound you like best!
The Fusion S Series Heads are GK’s brand new Class D Model heads with a tube preamp. The rich warmth of tubes combined with the quick, punchy power section that GK bass amps are known for is an experience like no other. These high powered heads incorporate three 12ax7 tubes in the preamp, including one dedicated to the overdrive channel, making it GK’s first ever tube driven overdrive channel. Illuminated knobs add an extra level of sophistication and design by not only making it easier to dial in your tone on stage and but adding a beautiful stage presence as well. Each illuminated knob is also push activated, with additional voicing filters and tonal characteristics built in.

Also loved that part at 3:24, emulating that Tame Impala tone but slightly altering the bassline in order not to get copyrighted hehe.

No one has the amp in stock near me, so I'm counting on some other sources of info before dropping that kind of money on it. I keep checking every month but so far, nothing.

I have a Fusion 1200S amp.. LOVE IT!! I don't have any recording equipment to offer samples of tone (sorry). The only demo I had before purchasing it was this video. I had similar reservations to your own, but no regrets! You can only fit so much into a demo video. With that said, I think the amp is even MORE impressive in person than it is here. Best tube tone I've heard among hybrid bass amps. The power, headroom, and low weight made it a better option for me than an all-tube amp. Hope this helps! :)

I have a JBL 15" cabinet and a JBL horn in its own cabinet. Special Speakon cables are basically ring-low end, pin-high end. My 800RB was much easier to balance with separate level controls for high and low end. The crossover point was controllable. I'm using a 700RB II now. No crossover control. Suggestions? Also what is the general price for the Legacy 800?

I just have to say that I made three purchases based on this demonstration.
    Great video.
Some of the smoothest bass players I have ever heard!!!!
Not only did I purchase a GK 212 neo cab.
I also got the fusion 1200 amp head.
I was fascinated with the different bass selection.
I am a new bass player, i’ve had my Sandberg about two weeks now.
I was trying to figure out if I wanted a fender jazz or P bass for my second.
I tried at all the American fender bases and I didn’t like any of them.
I fell in love with this white Mustang with a tortoise shell pick guard and Rosewood fretboard
    From the video.
I thought that was just such a unique sound coming from that Mustang, almost like surf bass, if you know what I mean, that chicken plucking tone is very distinct so I decided that I must have one.
Upon my surprise I realized it was not an American newer model available today.
Being a new bass player I guess I was just being naïve and thinking I could just grab one from guitar center!!
    I know, right?
I couldn’t believe there were like a dozen of these babies on reverb with the exact same color and pick guard and Rosewood fretboard.
Mine is supposed to be all original including pick ups and pots.
I was able to verify the serial number which most of these were listed and visible so you could verify their authenticity.
It appears to be a 2004 Japanese mustang.
I was so stoked, I just pulled the trigger.
My first time buying from reverb so God help me!!!
Thanks again for the great video and bass lines.
Just out of curiosity does anyone out there on one of these vintage mustangs from Japan?
If so I would love your thoughts on what do you think of this bad boy.
Some of the ones I have heard sound a little bit Fret buzzy.
I have heard that comes along with the territory of a short scale bass.
    GK ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the difference between the S 800 and S 1200 while using two cabs of 8OHM? I can't see any advantage in purchasing the S 1200 then.

    • @Gallien-Krueger
      @Gallien-Krueger  2 роки тому +1

No difference at 8 or 4 ohms, the 1200 would be for someone wanting to use two 4 ohm cabs. This really comes into play with our new line of NEO IV cabs. We have a 4ohm 212 and 410. So if you want to use two of them, the 1200 would be a great amp to have so you could put out the full 1200 watts at 2 ohms

I have a Mesa D800+ and want to switch to GK. Can’t decide between this, or the Legacy 800. I play rock and love a bright, punchy tone with a tad of hair. Both seem to do the trick.......tough choice.

    • @Gallien-Krueger
      @Gallien-Krueger  3 роки тому +3

Do you play with a pick? We think the tubes really help with pick attack and heavier attacks in general. The overdrive on the Fusion S is all tube which has some unique characteristics. You can get a really nice natural growl by overdriving the tubes. The Legacy is also solid, especially for rock players, but we would say that the Fusion can get a Legacy type tone, but the Legacy cant do certain things that the Fusion does... If you hate tubes, go Legacy as well!

I know zero about sales or the music gear market. But when gear doesn't sell, it eventually gets discontinued.
