- The Fusion S Series Heads are GK’s brand new Class D Model heads with a tube preamp. The rich warmth of tubes combined with the quick, punchy power section that GK bass amps are known for is an experience like no other. These high powered heads incorporate three 12ax7 tubes in the preamp, including one dedicated to the overdrive channel, making it GK’s first ever tube driven overdrive channel. Illuminated knobs add an extra level of sophistication and design by not only making it easier to dial in your tone on stage and but adding a beautiful stage presence as well. Each illuminated knob is also push activated, with additional voicing filters and tonal characteristics built in.

That amp sounds awesome. \m/ it sounds smooth, thick, and punchy. I’m a long time gallien-Krueger player and I like what I hear from this amp. I am thinking of getting either this amp or the legacy 500 as my 2nd amp.

GK has also just released the Neo IV Cabinet, a new upgraded version of the Neo Cabinets, I would love to see you guys do a demo of these
cabinets paired with one of the the new Legacy heads.

Go for it! I have an MB Fusion 800 (the model that was released before this one) and it is a beast. I'm so impressed that I'm saving up for a Legacy 500.

'Trim' should be set at 10, and back if it turns red, ie input peaks. According to the GK manual.

Sounds lush. Is it 5 times better than a TC BQ or BH though, as the price would suggest? I don't think so. Seems like there is a massive case of the law of diminishing returns with modern Class D amps.

Strange they had all 4 voicing filters turned on for almost the entire video, then only selectively turned off one at a time during the demonstration of individual controls. It was basically the opposite of what I would think would be most useful. I play GK exclusively these days and only use the EQ by itself... Having all the voicing filters turned on makes an extremely colored sound, and I'm still curious what i sounds like more flat. Great demo and production as always though.
thank you for having finger players demo, all other reviews have grunge medal sloppy playing which does nothing for evaluating tone, unless you like the sound of strings banging the fretboard.

sounds just OK. lots of features pretty versatile. would be interested to get my hands on one and spend some time with one to make my final decision. please have GK send you the legacy head that has been the one i have been most interested in lately!
