Love seeing 150 gy6 content finally being made here. That's definitely an automatic choke. Otherwise there's usually a cable that runs underneath the driver seat with a little spring loaded plunger. Been working on a few of those that a friend owned, they're excellent machines

Just finished getting my boss's kids' KPX 150 going, very similar setup. Did a full rewire, led lights, fuel pump & and a good deal of adjustment and tuning. Thing was a blast! My kids were sad to see it go back, they were the resident test drivers😅
I’ve owned one of these 150 size carts for a long time, the best upgrade you do to them is two stock yahama blaster shocks on the rear swing arm and bombardier 650 shocks on the front a arms. It’ll handle like it’s on rails after that. Would love to see y’all stuff a predator 670 on the back too!
That's the same frame Red Beard's daughter drives. Hilarious ending to the episode. We have had the hub rip out of a rim before, but not nearly as epic as yours.
I'm married and have three kids now. I am to a point now where if it has one seat, it's about worthless to me. I even put a passenger seat in my drag car and am in the process of putting it back on the street. "It's more fun with friends!"

@@midnightwaterdragon4725 it would be awesome it is already setup like the original engine only difference is the silverwing has the transmission connected to the wheel hub instead of running a chain but I bet it would be pretty simple to setup to run a chain
You guys keep this Old Man from Washington NC laughing 🤣. I see in the near future an engine upgrade 😊. No way y'all be satisfied with wide open and no brake. We are all waiting. Love you guys. 🛵🧔💝💝💝
Great work getting it home. I’ve done the lean of shame for about 10 miles getting a snowmobile home with one ski. A friend on a different sled that lost one 30 miles out left it to get tools.
So this was the best episode of the season by far... Its good to know that Ike does not weigh 180Lbs as he has said on the show for years🤣😂. Keep doing what you do guys. Thanks for sharing!
My little brother had one of these but it had 2 forward gears if you push the lever forward again. It was pretty fun! This video reminded me of good times!
"Underpowered" machines like that can be so much more fun than an over-powered kart that you're on the verge of crashing everywhere. They also teach you a lot about actually driving, because you have to maximise every bit of of track times as a mistake on one point can cost you for the next two or three corners as you can't get back up to speed so easily.
Easily one of my top 5 favorite Cars and Cameras videos. I love Isaac's death grip on the Holy Sh!t bar. That is an awesome cart, I hope to see more of it. Edit: I love the sped up lap footage more than I should to, lol.
yes!!! I love GY6 videos. I have a couple of Tomberlin Crossfire 150s that are great for ripping. Video idea. No one has done this yet. Turn one of these electric. I would love to see a 40mph/40miles of range electric build on an off-road go kart/mini buggy build.
Nowadays, this exact frame and engine is rebranded by either Kandi or Massimo and called the GKM200. Ive been looking at getting one for over a year, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. They're currently going for $3000+ online. The people who own them swear by them, so I might get one this year.
These GY6 powered karts are rad with a little bit of love and upgrades. I got a couple Baja Reaction 150s for my buddy and I and they're a complete blast
The tire tread does matter in the front for sure. Give you way more bite in the front running them reverse. I know from my own kart and racing rc competitively. I can’t speak for the rear but maybe more loose in back as the tread kind of toes the rear in and snaps the kart forward when run “correctly”.
A drone chase cam would be incredible. Maybe next time you guys have a get together you can get a drone operator to come out and chase the races around? :)
Yes, we caught the A.J. "'75 Johnson, electric choke" reference. I believe the solenoid actuates a rubber-tipped plunger which "chokes" main jet to prevent backfire at startup. Fun toy. I'm jealous...
I love that cart! Can't wait to see the engine running at full potential without a governor. And thanks for wearing gloves so we can see more videos with hands.
For your sign just a suggestion but maybe you guys could mount an aluminum or galvanized pipe to the top of the left pole at a 90 degree angle and hang your sign from that which eliminates the 2nd pole and the danger. Anyways longtime fan of you guys, keep the vids coming.
I think it would be a great idea to put up a Guard-Rail on the right side (if you were looking at the start line) before that 4x4 post, so when you're coming in hot to finish and you aren't in the middle of the track, you don't head-on that 4x4 post if you slide to the left coming into the finish line. Thinking out loud :)

I used to work at a Brick plant and we would take the dirt dobber nest and fire them in the kiln. The different clay they made the nest out of would turn out pretty cool with different colors.
Just picked up a very similar one. Can't identify the manufacturer yet. Possibly a very old Kandi. Can confirm- two adults and its about as slow as you can get in a go kart before you consider walking as a viable option. Stuffing a 420 in it. Hope the axle holds up.
The part where Charles and John were driving with the cement on hyper-speed cracked me up - almost as much as the look on Ike's face when he was riding with John...at least before the wheel went AWOL.
