      @@alex_irl6732 such is the opportunity for a good engineering solution. I suppose you could make the sd slot a descending slot, sort of like how cassette readers used to be like, and have the seams be lined with rubber or something. Even then it might be too risky, if not just flat out stupid to be playing in the water with your 1tb micro sd.

    You should do a Kickstarter for a really simple but powerful smart watch, with just a simple lcd showing the time, that's it. But it has thing like the nfc, sd card, and maybe a vibration motor hooked up to an electronic compass so it vibrates when you look north, button operated of course lol

    • @hitmiccs
      @hitmiccs 3 роки тому +5

      It's not lasting long and it's not bright enough after a couple minutes, additionally, the watch gets harder to read after you removed the reflective back foil from the LCD. The luminous foil has no reflective properties, so the LCD will look dull after the mod. It's even worse if you do it with inverted LCDs, although it looks cool for a couple minutes after charging under a bright lightsource.

    so fucking cool. I was wanting to do a project similar to this so its great to know I don't have to do the hard work when I get around to it. I love the aesthetic look of the Casio, it's simple yet beautiful. thanks :)

    Sick project; very clean look. I wonder if a G-Shock body would give you more room for more features? Or you could come up with an external battery/haptic/etc module that fits on the watch band.
