Actually no improvisation, they've mentioned in several interviews, they use a traditional writing method. Sheet music first, then they play it. Aron and Jonah write most of the song, then they send the sheet music to Henrik to write the bass. Then they get together, and jam it out off sheet music. I guess it's just what they got used to studying at the same music school in Sweden.
Management: Quincy Jones Productions. That's all you need to see, then hear. These dudes are on another level. "Next to You" has got to be next. They will take you to CHURCH on that one.
They are world class Jazz/Fusion musicians that are doing popish music. Thats why they are good. The bass player and drummer are at the level they could play in the Late Chick Corea E Band or with Stanley Clarke etc. Jazz/Fusion musicians are on different level.
Jonah Nilsson's transitions from head voice to chest voice and back is absolutely flawless! On the keyboards, one can see that he has some very solid classical music and jazz training and experience, he is extraordinary. The bass player comes from another planet where people are far more developed than people on earth, and the same applies to the drummer. Stockholm has some really great music schools!
you can not imagine the joy in my heart looking at your face at the end not for this band but for the sheer heartbreaking joy of finding a bunch of people who can pound on shit and wake us the fuck up ... in the best possible way i sincerely hope you find a moment like this at least once a month for the rest of your days and sometimes disgusting bass just needs to play 1 note appropriately nd it kills me too !!!!
Totally phenomenal band DIRTY LOOPS ROCKS!!❤ Bass ,drums, the keyboards/Singer is Another level! this is a musicians dream band! Intricate musical music style w/solos from all players & the vocalist.. WOW! QUINCY JONES KNOWS!! Amazing group! Pop, rock & fusion/ jazz MORE PLEASE!! So getting this release!❤
I met these guys due to the Samsung theme, I believe the S8. "Over the horizon" was imprinted on my memory and so I went to see more of their work and my mind just exploded. They are at an almost impossible level to reach. Wow!
God DAMN that solo riffing section was unbelievable. And I really enjoyed your commentary on musical expression; that authenticity and insight was great. Keep it up!
Great reaction as always. Can’t tell you how much I/We appreciation the super high output level of the track. Nobody’s get loud enough but your’s. Thank you sir.
Looking forward to another Dirty Loops reaction video! « Follow the Light » is my all time favorite. « Next To You » is also another recommendation. I really enjoy your channel and I have had the privilege of discovering new artists thanks to you. Your responses are authentic and meaningful. Thanks for all that you do. Keep it up!
I've been a fan of Dirty Loops since 2012 and your reaction to these young genius musicians is on point! It's so fun to watch them play together. I've seen them live and it's all there! Jonah's vocals, Aron and Henrik are so tight. But they make it look so effortless! I can't praise them enough and they are very humble, nice guys!!!❤
The best way to describe Dirty Loops is it’s music for musicians put palatable to any audience even if they don’t play an instrument. It’s complex and catchy and easily digestible. It caters to everyone. As a musician you can be absolutely impressed and as a music fan you can enjoy them for their badass catchy songwriting
Yup, they’re full nasty! Dirty Loops is one hell of a trio 🔥 Enjoyed your genuine reaction, Keith, and how deeply you listen and appreciate their music 🙏 I know it’s been a while now, and you might’ve exported more of their music by now. But if by chance you haven’t heard their tracks “Next To You”, “World on Fire” or “Thriller”, it would be awesome to get your opinion on those… Looking forward to it! 🙏
Not only Quincy Jones, but David Foster brought these guys up to Quincy if I remember it correctly. Nice video man! Love when musicians react to musicians! I need to start making some videos thanks to you. :D Nice work! /Composer from Street Fighter V
Jonah Nillson (Vocal/Keys) just dropped an album. It's more of collection of singles he's done over the last few years, but there's a new song called "Diamond Ring" that has a video--check it out! A little more pop and a little less fusion than Dirty Loops; sounds like if you put Michael, Justin Timberlake, and Dirty Loops in a blender. Oh, and Quincy has a popsicle (since the pop is so cool it's ice cold, and you just wanna eat it up) and Steve Vai plays a guitar solo on the outro. Great pop song, and sounds like nothing currently on the radio/charts.
I’ve been enjoying this group of sick talent for quite sometime now and I have turned on many of my musical bruthas to them also. Glad your finally on board!
Hell yea man, Dirty Loops for me is the next generation of Dream Theater dude, NO BODY CAN STOP THEM, they are insane music kilier dude, wowwww ! Buy the way, i realy love your reaction too dude, you are awsome man,. I give u love from Indonesia, Thx so much for the reaction man, God bless, From now on i am your subsc man :)
I discovered them by accident a decade ago. Most artist I listened to back then I have moved on from, just from my taste if music, lyrics etc. But they are timeless 👌
I just recently got turned on to this musical freight train, and I don't want to Ever get off. These cats take your breath away. So talented, and Tight! I'll bet you can't pass molecules between their notes! Next... Follow The Light
Have you listened or reacted to Snarky Puppy before? Specifically, the song Lingus? But there are quite a few amazing recordings on their YT channel, especially from the album "We Like It Here." The song What About Me is another really killer track.
"Wait, that is too much" the honest truth said. Over the top this guys. In a world govern by the human spirit, this guys would be the ones making the millions and not the filth that the sons of the devil have been promoting
You are excellent as a reviewer! You have good insight and obvious passion for good music. Would love to see you react to Vola - Straight Lines Keep up the good work!
They are three mates from music school, and what a school. The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. As classically trained musicians they write and compose it first - then play the shit out of it.
Bro . No cap! You sound like Charlie Murphy. And that’s actually a compliment! Are used to live listen to that dude tells stories. I also appreciated your analysis on this video. I do agree. This band is killing it. I didn’t know that Quincy Jones discovered them all the time
Actually no improvisation, they've mentioned in several interviews, they use a traditional writing method. Sheet music first, then they play it. I guess it's just what they got used to studying at the same music school in Sweden.
reminds me of zappas' method ... get it right ... then fuck with it ...then punish the good players by making them work harder !!!
this is really nice
Henrik's tone on that fretless is from another planet.
Management: Quincy Jones Productions. That's all you need to see, then hear. These dudes are on another level. "Next to You" has got to be next. They will take you to CHURCH on that one.
Not gonna lie, I had a divine otherworldly experience when I first heard Next To You... 😄💖
Said it before, I'll say it again; Quincy Jones does not waste his time. :-)
Agree. Do ”Next to You” next 👍
I'm glad someone else said this! Lolz
Lol
They are world class Jazz/Fusion musicians that are doing popish music. Thats why they are good. The bass player and drummer are at the level they could play in the Late Chick Corea E Band or with Stanley Clarke etc. Jazz/Fusion musicians are on different level.
They been playing together since they were kids and you can tell.
These dudes all went to music school together and formed Dirty Loops and the rest is history... Amazing talented musicians.
Keith: Y'all gotta chill...
Me: :smiles in 'just wait'

‘Next to You’ will give you good vibes
‘Breakdown’ is a beautiful ballad
This is the band you get when everyone in it is the best!
The quality of the mix is on a completely different level. They are truly amazing!!!
Seriously! Such a great mixing job; everyone is clear, crisp and present
Two words- Quincy Jones.

Besides that everything is insane: Henrik's intonation on that fretless bass is the best I've ever heard.
ua-cam.com/video/Btri7h2J2k0/v-deo.html - doesnt look like fretless. Making such a esimation from studio version is a bit weird.
@@petersuchansky6703 Not the same bass.
@@milesdust3465 im glad you noticed. Doesnt him playng not the same kind of bass(fretless) live on the same song bring up some new questions?
@@petersuchansky6703 no.
I love watching peoples reactions to hear and seeing them for the first few times! Priceless! 😄 they are on a different universe in terms of of music
You've evolved into a monster on drums Aron. No one can be happier than me about your success.
He's so awesome!
heard he stayed at school everyday when he went södra to practice.

Love seeing a producer doing a "stank face" when listening to musicians clowning their instruments. Love it.

Dude...the look on your face during the piano solo.....I love that you get it, man. Love it. :-)
Found these guys a few years back and I’ve been turning on everyone I can to them. Absolutely incredible tracks and sweet humble guys too!
The singer has a live video with Quincy jones where he sings bad by michael jackson. Marcus miller guest bass player as a bonus
Truly can’t believe you have never heard of them!! They are off the hook!! Love you expressions on this one Brother….
Your reactions are amazing. I still am in awe every single time I hear them. Next to you, Hit me, Sayonara love, Breakdown. All excellent choices.
YES!!! FINALLY!!! NEW MUSIC TO MY EARS WITH A BAND
God DAMN that solo riffing section was unbelievable. And I really enjoyed your commentary on musical expression; that authenticity and insight was great. Keep it up!
They are unsurpassed!💘💝💖💗💓💞💕💟❣❤💛💚💙💜🖤
Henrik is one of, if not thee best Bassist out there today!!
Great reaction as always. Can’t tell you how much I/We appreciation the super high output level of the track. Nobody’s get loud enough but your’s. Thank you sir.
I like the way you present the videos you let the band be the center of the reaction not the reactor. Great job!!

"Fun is the foundation of creating music"
I bet Jonah listens a lot to Kenny Kirkland. I listen already DL for 10 years and they will never bore me out. Greetings from the Netherlands

I'm with you on the Late My Brother! They do a great rendition of Thriller!
i listen to hardcore, punk and mostly metall. i can not NOT like this. its just too good.
When I first heard them in 2016, I thought " Where are they from?" I had to listen to everything they made-BEASTS
The transition 🔥🔥🔥

Love your reactions, Keith!
Love the way you Break (it) Down, Keith ! Do yourself (and us) a favor and take on "Next To You" next...please ?
After this, did Thelonious Monk Don't Blame Me (Live in Denmark) for cooling down, a different musical quality, and a little creative headroom.
When he said “whew!…shit!” I felt that.
Love your reaction!
So glad you love em ❤️
It’s why I love reaction channels.
To see people loving what you love

You should check out Alfa Mist. He’s got jazz, rap, and some lofi type stuff as well
Loved your reaction man🙌 And yes, dirty Loops are a nasty trio🤭
Jonah is totally quoting Cory Henry at 7:14. Such an incredible musician, his improvisational skills are just insane.
Also, Jonah hints at Lyle Mays, from Pat Metheny Group, in this composition.
Yep, i heard that
This was my reaction when I first heard them. Fucking explosive.
Anything by Dirty Loops is time well spent
