What I love about the drum solo is after it's over 9:38 Aron then swings an incredible feel as that bass keyboard note hits. I have no idea what he's doing to make so much space when he's still hitting a lot of drums. I would love to watch an analysis just of those 10 seconds. Then he delivers even more gargantuan short drum breaks. Then the song ends too soon, so you listen to it again, and again.

So much chemistry! I have played semi-successfully with the same trio for the last 40 years. I'm a dinosaur, however, when I listen to this I totally get the synergy that they feel when it's only three people. Holy crap! Even though we're hearing studio recordings, you can't help but feel it. You might be surprised, Andrew, but most of their new stuff is very poppy and has a very '80s feel to it that is elevated by their insane musicianship. Love love love your show. I think a lot like you do when it comes to reacting to these videos. Keep up the good work

And yes they do it all and better live actually. Another band like that; even better live.
Aron is kind of the peak equivalent modern drummer sort of like how Stewart was basically "the" modern drummer of that moment.
He rips. I mean that in the most dear of terms, referring to Chris Leighton, The Ripper (SRV). That snap on the snare isn't just poppy and crisp, it's SUPER tight. Just there.
