Dear Doug, thank you for such great videos like this one. I’ve just started binging MIDI Strummer-related videos, and this was really helpful. Thank you so much and have an amazing 2024!
Thank you for providing an excellent tutorial. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Trying other sounds and patterns shows when the professor is doing the illustrations. More power to you .
Yes indeed; “awesome stuff.” Thank you.
Just got this. Thanks for the recommendation, man!
Just got this thanks for the video 👍🙏🙏
Truly excellent video. Your best yet.
Neat app and excellent tutorial. Thanx to both Paul and Doug
Great tutorial Doug 😎 a wonderful new app from Paul 👍🏼
Awesome plugin and presentation, take my money 4 pockets. (They already did even before you got to routing to piano).
I’ve got this hooked up to BLEASS Alpha playing some of my rhythmic presets which already use an Arp and the Motion Sequencer, put through Cloud Stratosphere Reverb, and I have to say the results are gorgeous and instantly inspiring in a TD/Ozrics kinda way. This is a great and easy way to get more complex, dynamic and expressive arps driving other synths.
Spidericemidas iOS Music Producer Show us .....🤔😏😀
Yes please do a demo of this.
Dmin....a lovely choice indeed !
Great App.
She’s got incredible acoustic format even 12 string chorus inversions everywhere.... but once you bump into the best overdrive, take a picture....save time.
Sometimes I wish these developers would just leave the box closed. Even close the room where the box is to prevent thinking outside of said box.
My initial reaction was “WOW - this is exactly what I’ve been thinking about, but better. I like playing my Martin with MIDImorphosis etc, but this is just so much cleaner and there are so many options etc”
Then I realize that sometimes these things are taking us so far away from what it was that I loved about music and noise manipulation that it puts me back behind the drum kit for a session that I add bass, guitar , and embellishments to and leave the iPad for watching and listening to others break the limits of tech.
Really great video though - as usual.
Sold!
Yes, Matt, it’s really good
great app , congrats ! let me ask you two questions : can you change the guitar tuning ? and is it possible to mute 1 string eg low E ? THANKS
Hey Doug, is this going to get updated to work with GB in iOS 14? There is a disclaimer, top line in App Store by the dev.
Hi ! Is possible ti use this app on a MacBook Pro 2019 and drag the midi of this app in my DAW? Thanks
Bought this one right away. If you like the guitar bits in Garageband but felt they were too limited, this is the app you want. Thanks for covering midi controls. I hadn't tried to use those yet and you've saved me a great deal of time and frustration.
Noticed you mentioned GarageBand. How does it work inside GarageBand? Does the screen pop up like here, and is it a instrument as such like Grand piano AU? Or is it an effect? Apologies for the confusion but no one seems to show these apps working in anything but AUM which I don’t have, as I like the DAW way of doing stuff!
@@spacerockerlightyears I mentioned Garageband because this has similar functionality. I usually don't use Garageband due to its limitations. It took a few restarts since I haven't loaded Garageband in some time but it eventually recognized Strummer as an external audio unit. It also can be added as an effect if you wanted to use it with the internal synths.
Kenneth Rowe Hi, thanks. I’m still confused! I wish people would show these apps in Daws like Cubasis etc. So, it can control or be used with the piano in GB and it opens up as a pop up like other AU’s. Synthmaster type. I can’t get my head around how it works in GB and Cubasis. Not bought it due to confusion which is repeated time and time again by developers! They need to make it clear and someone needs to demonstrate these things outside of AUM! I play guitar but I was thinking of this for piano/ keyboard work, but not external midi keyboard!
How to draw strum up and strum down while creating patterns?
Can you export the midi to cubasis?
Can you play a pad via a single external midi key (on keyboard for example)? Great app btw. just bought via your link 👌
InterStellaFella - Yes, I demonstrate how to do that in the video
The Sound Test Room - Sweeeet. Just got to that point. 🤟🤟🤟
Spent some hours today with the app. Superb overall. Is it disrespectful if I add some comments / possible bugs here ?
InterStellaFella - Please feel free to add comments, if there are any bugs the developer would want to know
The Sound Test Room - 👍 Firstly sorry.. i am a SW test geek...
- The Arp (start /stop) via F key on midi... worked first time i tried then not since (restart). button highlighted on/off with key but didnt latch.
- Reducing volume in grid for held notes only works when holding end grid square.. (maybe not a bug but confusing)
- copy and paste in song grid is tricky as you have to add and empty object to paste at the end otherwise you get error message.
- Tempo needs a drag option as otherwise you have to click click click etc to get desired number
Have to finish by saying loving the app !!!!
Hello,
How do I get the B minor?
Sounds like a good looper alternative for a guitarist on the road with no gear besides travel guitar and iPad? To practice over, I mean.
That’s actually a really good use for the App too👍
Well worth getting. Too bad there are no cabinets or pedals with the app like in Garageband but I might have missed that if there is. Thanks for this.
Jim Shannon on Sounds It has pretty extensive set of internal effects you can use
can it play external equipment with the patterns ?
Dean Bridges Yes, you can
I keep hearing timing skips. Is that the app or the stream? Hoping stream of course
The App is solid, I had the time changes set to one beat for part of the demo, plus In another part I was just deeming the fact that you can change chords via midi input from a keyboard
Can you use it with keyboard apps?
Yes
Thanks, Doug! Good to know.
Not just a very interesting and useful arpeggiator, but the guitar sounds are great. Only thing missing is finger squeaks, but I'll just claim I edited those out! lol
periurban Hey Peri👍😊 Next week I’ll be doing another MIDI Strummer video and I’ll demo it also with American Acoustic from SampleTank, that will give you all the slides, fretbuzz, noise and other cool guitar noises you will ever want, just rout it to any app you like, Cool Beans
@@TheSoundTestRoom I'll look forward to that!
Great app, just add open tunings functions………
