Midi strummer is by far the best strumming, and picking app for ios. Paul added the piano to guitar for me so I can use from the bass of my midi accordion.
I know this has little to do with your informative video, but can you offer any help on the following: Is it possible to get the black surrounding buttons to work on a Lauchpad Pro whilst in custom mode? It would be really good if I could get the play/stop buttons to work. I have a four Launchpad setup going into AUM. The Lauchpads all have custom setups, but that leaves a lot of redundant buttons around the edges. Maybe its a worthwhile subject for a video.

You should be able to bind those to a midi controller. But for this question you may have to contact the developer.
