Thanks again Scott for another amazing video, I was afraid to use super clean on fabric interior but I will definitely use it from now on, too bad super clean is 20 canadian $$$ here in Canada, a totally rip off. You are amazing, keep the humble guy posting more and more videos and I'll be grateful for every single one every time you'll do it!
Love your videos Scott. I bought an old 2005 Impala. Back seat was covered in candy, milk stains and many others from previous owners kids. I though it would never come clean. I lucked into buying super clean. It cleaned seat and carpet so good it looked like new. I have used super clean in everything since then. I was so happy a free years ago when I saw one of your videos using super clean in interior, it validated what I was thinking.
Just a tremendous wealth of info. Meguiar's has been so tough to find in local stores which makes a huge difference. You sold me on Super Clean when you said available at Walmart. Thanks Scott!
If you do the math all purpose cleaner is much cheaper if you buy on Amazon because you can dilute it. Super clean is around $5-$7 dollars and believe me you will run out quickly.
Hi Scott love the super clean Degreaser works great!!! A lot cheaper than Meguiars A.P.C. and looks like a better product to use!!! You can see the big difference in both products! Super clean looks newer than the one with Meguiars A.P.C.
Hi Scott, I have a question. Can you use reverse osmosis water in place of distilled water since RO water is stripped of all minerals. I ask this because it is very cheap when you buy a 5-gallon jug at Walmart and it costs about 1.40 for 5-gallons of RO ?
This is a true review on super clean super clean is not bad but it is limited im a professional detail and come from a family of them been doing it my whole life i got super clean yesterday and used it on a hammered truck not saying its not good at all but its limited and not as good as a real professional product.
HI Scott. Don't know why u don't want to say it. Super Clean did a slightly better job! I am clearly seeing some faint stains still on the APC side near the middle.
Great video Scott! For upholstery and engine degreasing using Super Clean, the mixture ratio is the same, correct (4 parts water to one part degreaser)?
Do Purple Power vs Super Clean. Purple Power is alot cheaper than Super Clean and works just as good IMO. Also you can use one of those Round Up one gallon containers with detachable spray head, the one with the long spray hose, and that will solve your "spraying at an angle" conundrum.
specopsbrat Yes, I agree... Am curious to know what tge difference is between those two products. Seems Scott has used the PP to wash painted surfaces on vehicles, and SC to clean other areas like tires, seats, mats, etc...
Don Quixote the PP definitely has a higher alkalinity. I use it full strength on engines, 50/50 on wheels and paint, and 10/90 on carpet and upholstery. If it's too strong it can take dye off of leather so I work small panels at a time and don't let it sit long. To me Super Clean seems heavily diluted. PP is more of a concentrate.
I have noticed in lot of this super clean videos everyone says WONT make ya cough....but have ya cleaned ur shower with it yet it will have ya coughing almost as much as meguiars apc
I don't know if it is the lighting or what but to me, it appears that the Super Clean did a better job than the APC. Even on the thumbnail for the video it looks better. The Super Clean appears to have nicer color to it than the other side.
Scott, you are one tough dude! Either of those APC's are caustic enough to beat up my hands and you go in there! Yes, at 4:1 either one will cause my hand to become sensitive and peel in some cases. I like both of these! #1 and #2 and I'm not sure about which one is better. Probably Megs but not by much. SuperClean is the better value, by a lot...
It’s hard to tell when it’s wet though it looks okay and comparatible. You would be able to se when dry, Can’t find that vid on the squirt bottle from Bona, not sure how to spell ☺️ thanks Scott, 👍🏻
Scott, why do people say that doing it this way is bad that if you dont extract the apc that your going to leave stains? I ask this because recently i started taking jobs detailing after about 2 years of learning the trade. But been having problems with these seats always scared of leaving stains or useing to much product or water, tried a little extractor didnt like it at all. I use this method seems to work great but then i hear that because im not extracting the soap/chemical i sometimes use tide laundry soap on these kind of seats that its going to leave stains or attract dirt so when i leave my customers house even though the seats look great and clean im worried once it dries completly there will be some kind of stain because i didnt extract the product i used? Also i sometimes use steam along with the apc or soap to clean heavily soiled seats am i introducing to much water? Do yiu have any tips to helo me out? Thanks scott
I've read a handful of guides that say to not use APC on cloth/carpet because it can be too pH imbalanced and leave white marks or fade the dye. Any experience with that?
Great video Scott , cheaper than meguiars , readily available you don't have to order it and wait for it to show up at your door , does a great job . I'm not seeing a down side .
Scott!! whats your thoughts on ScotchGuard ? Also can you do a video on basic cleaning for non leather upholstery ? do you do anything besides just vacuum thanks!
smelling all those chemicals. when you're done you have a combo of chemicals the customer can smell when they get their car back. I believe in extractors and steamers, and they cut your job time in half
ep ep that's what I was thinking. Like I get it he doesn't like using tools and he gave a good reason why, but he still needs to use an extractor to pull off MOST of the stains. Seeing how bad this car is it does need extracting. Unless it was a small stain then I get it use that method. However this is a huge stain which in fact requires an extractor.
No body cares?!?!? I didn't click on your video....obviously you caught feels.... That makes you a giant pussy! not a man, but a feminine car cleaner for real men..... Fuck off with your opinions... Make your own video then
wouldn't megs super de-greaser have been better competition? I have actually only used super clean for most things but the megs detailer line can be diluted and its relatively cheap on amazon so I'm tempted. looking at the comments, a lot of people are wondering. Oldy but goodie vid. Amd P.S., I agree on less water is better. Water will always do 2 things, get where you want it, and get where you don't.
@Darren Bates do you use any other product on the interior plastics /leather after using apc/superclean? For uv protection /leather rejuvenation and to bring up the shine, etc. And any thoughts on using meguiars hyper dressing diluted 1:4 parts water for all interiors including plastics, leather, and display screens?
@Darren Bates ye, i also bought a local brand autosmart interior dressing which can also be used as type dressing just like hyper dressing, gonna use up these ones 1st,they're gonna last me at least for like 6 months 😂
@Darren Bates great tip. I don't get a lot of repeat clients yet and my usual client' cars are not usually maintained and are absolutely trashed on the inside. But yes what you said made sense.
super clean is good and no overspray that makes you gag true lol but I b been using purple power and diluting it what do you thunk about it ? I use 3-1 ratio cause I find that its good for even cleaning rims too
This is an old vid, but I was wondering, Scott, if you would agree with using a hot water extractor for 5 day old spilt milk on carpet? I spent 1 hour on the spill and knocked it down to smell more like baby's breath than toxic sour milk. I'm trying to decide whether to spend another hour on it for free or rent a carpet shampooer / hot water extractor. Thx! My process was 5 HP Ridgid to pull up as much fluid as I could, followed by Chemical Guys shampoo, scrub brush, microfiber cloth, repeat.
How did that work out? Im in the same boat, of thinking of buying a carpet cleaner/extractor. But something tells me if wont be any better results as what you have done. A carpet cleaner is basically equivalent to the 5 HP ridgid extractor you are using.
Saw your video after I did it. I tried SuperClean Spray on my 2009 Caravan seats. Non Diluted from the spray can with a brush similar to yours. The difference is that I spray a lot more than you, it was yet, anyway I brushed for 2 minutes each panels, wipe it off and let the car there. The next day when dry it was a miracle, I was very surprised how clean it was, they looked like new, seriously. Would they have been as good with another stuff like carpet cleaner? I dont know but SuperClean did the job very well in my case.
Man the rest of that truck was dirty. Seeing those carpets they definitely looked like they needed extraction. But idk it doesn’t look like you had vacuumed them yet, but I can’t say for sure I’d need a little longer camera focus on the carpet.
Hi Scott your videos are awesome, also Can I ask I have not been doing this very long so I do worry about not having a fancy shampoo machine do you think I can get by with out it 👍
for interior use and based on the level of dirt...i dilute it from 5:1 to 8:1....5 or 8 parts water and 1 part product...hope that helps answer your question...for this video i put 6oz in a 32oz bottle than filled up the rest of the bottle with distilled water
hey u changed the towel to not cross contaminate, but used the same brush😂😂🤣 surprised nobody blew u up in the comments. I sware sometimes the comment thread is more entertaining then video
Great videos and I learn something new on all of your videos. Try Simple Green 19010 Foaming Crystal Industrial Cleaner/Degreaser and or Simple Green Multi-Purpose Foaming Cleaner on seats, carpets and just everything.
What kind of comparation.... degreaser vs. all purpose cleaner? Why don't you compare Super Clean with Meguiars Super Degreaser? I think even Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner PLUS will work better than Super Clean.
ProTouch Cleaning Center - Skopje it doesn't matter, just pick the apc that works for you. Super clean can be diluted as a apc or degreaser if you wish. Megs super degreaser is typically just a degreaser. Megs apc is great and a awesome price point but I find super clean is a better buy and easy for everyone to get!
Hey cry baby!! Ha ha Just kidding, love you Scott Anyway did you dilute the APC also...you said super clean was diluted 4:1 just wondering if meg APC was diluted also?
Thanks again Scott for another amazing video, I was afraid to use super clean on fabric interior but I will definitely use it from now on, too bad super clean is 20 canadian $$$ here in Canada, a totally rip off. Price too 20 something for a gal of meguiars apc and I went down to Napa and got a gallon of super clean for 11.15.
Tanner Paul $13 for Meguiar’s on their website. Detailed image has it for $15 and when they have free shipping offers, time to stock up.
Love your videos Scott. I bought an old 2005 Impala. Back seat was covered in candy, milk stains and many others from previous owners kids. I though it would never come clean. Well what do you think is better?
HI Scott. Don't know why u don't want to say it. Super Clean did a slightly better job! I am clearly seeing some faint stains still on the APC side near the middle.
Great video Scott! For upholstery and engine degreasing using Super Clean, the mixture ratio is the same, correct (4 parts water to one part degreaser)?
hey Scott, man you're the best, Darren who? lol but why you didn't use meguiars super degreaser-vs-superclean? since they're both degreasers right?
I've noticed that Scott has quite a few videos comparing Super Clean to Meguiar's APC. I too was wondering the reason for this.
Yes why not meguiars degreaser vs superclean?
The reason is cause super degreaser blows it out of the water and its not even fare
Scott is a lot more in the real world then daren who is skilled too, I see Scott working on dirty vehicles more then I do with darin
super degreaser from meguiar's removes the dye from seats
Do Purple Power vs Super Clean. Purple Power is alot cheaper than Super Clean and works just as good IMO. Also you can use one of those Round Up one gallon containers with detachable spray head, the one with the long spray hose, and that will solve your "spraying at an angle" conundrum.

I have noticed in lot of this super clean videos everyone says WONT make ya cough....but have ya cleaned ur shower with it yet it will have ya coughing almost as much as meguiars apc
I clean my shower with Melaleuca products and don't cough at all.
Cool. I thought I had to get an extractor. Thanks!!!!
I don't know if it is the lighting or what but to me, it appears that the Super Clean did a better job than the APC. Even on the thumbnail for the video it looks better. The Super Clean appears to have nicer color to it than the other side.
Agreed I know it could be lighting but the super clean looked like more Matt black while megs looked a bit more yellowish
The brushes that attach to a drill work great for seats. I think super clean wins that one.
The bottle says wear gloves
It’s hard to tell when it’s wet though it looks okay and comparatible. You would be able to se when dry,
Can’t find that vid on the squirt bottle from Bona, not sure how to spell ☺️ thanks Scott, 👍🏻
Are you against drill brushes? I find them a lot easier and quicker, and I even find them safer than the manual brush
No I'm not against them..
I do find sometimes they like to sling product but I do own drill brushes
Scott, why do people say that doing it this way is bad that if you dont extract the apc that your going to leave stains? Most people don't rinse when detailing autos. It will resoil faster if you leave a soap residue. But its not a dramatic overnight difference.
I've read a handful of guides that say to not use APC on cloth/carpet because it can be too pH imbalanced and leave white marks or fade the dye. Any experience with that?
Unlikely if it’s diluted
Why don’t you compare super clean against super degreaser?
Always enjoy you're videos Scott. Great job.I have to get some super clean. It is a great product P.S. What about that carpet OMG.
what about the carpet
Super helpful! Thanks for making this!
Great video Scott , cheaper than meguiars , readily available you don't have to order it and wait for it to show up at your door , does a great job . I'm not seeing a down side .
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This will help me in my next auto Detailing job.

Get rid of that meguiars apc and degreaser! Super clean for life!!!
good way to destroy/fade nice leather
@Detail Dude What is your dilution rate for interior on special fabrics/leather?
@Darren Bates do you use any other product on the interior plastics /leather after using apc/superclean? For uv protection /leather rejuvenation and to bring up the shine, etc. And any thoughts on using meguiars hyper dressing diluted 1:4 parts water for all interiors including plastics, leather, and display screens?

Scott, what was the concentrate of APC you used? I'm fighting to stay a Meguiar's fanboy but I'm slipping.
This is an old vid, but I was wondering, Scott, if you would agree with using a hot water extractor for 5 day old spilt milk on carpet? I'm not going to lie, I won't buy apc anymore, the price, lack of choking, and cleaning ability has me team super clean. BTW, big Megs fan here.
I just bought some super clean today after Scott's vids hahaha, cant wait to start using it!
Would you use the same process when you've got water stains that have been there for a year or two? Cloth seats.
Maybe two good products but the seat was still filthy .
The problem doing this method is you leave the residue of the cleaner in the fabric which attracts more dirt. Carpet cleaner works best.
Grey cloth seat. What do you treat it with or seal it. I have seen some that stain from just plain drinking water. Recommendation?
Can you spray scrub then vacuum with a Shop-Vac? Instead of wiping with a towel
I am wondering the same thing. Why press it in with a towel?
Absolutely. That's called the poor man's extractor
Saw your video after I did it. I tried SuperClean Spray on my 2009 Caravan seats. Non Diluted from the spray can with a brush similar to yours. awesome and i love it...thanks for the feedback:)
couple of hours after dry?
What brush are you using?
Why haven't you made a video on the degreaser called Mighty Boss? Apparently it cuts grease the best.
409 and woolite have works great for me
Can you use Super Clean on the carpet as well?
Can you use on black cloth without problems
Thank you for a very informative video.
Dilution ratio on Meg’s? Great video.
which super cleaner are you using, CarGuys Super Cleaner?
Man the rest of that truck was dirty. Seeing those carpets they definitely looked like they needed extraction. But idk it doesn’t look like you had vacuumed them yet, but I can’t say for sure I’d need a little longer camera focus on the carpet.
Would you use the steam cleaner after agitating?
I think Super Clean is a little harsh on interiors so I prefer using Meguiars.
If you buy the Super Clean in a spray bottle form instead of a gallon do you use it "as is" in the spray bottle form or cut it 4-1
Contacted super clean need to dilute the sprayer bottle it's full concentration like the one gallon bottle
Hi Scott your videos are awesome, also Can I ask I have not been doing this very long so I do worry about not having a fancy shampoo machine do you think I can get by with out it 👍
i don't use a shampoo machine in my business:)
If I buy the superclean off the shelf do I need to dilute it?
for interior use and based on the level of dirt...i dilute it from 5:1 to 8:1....5 or 8 parts water and 1 part product...hope that helps answer your question...for this video i put 6oz in a 32oz bottle than filled up the rest of the bottle with distilled water
You should try folex, it works amazing. Definitely some great results from it !
ever use Woolite for seats, Scott?
Very nice video! Are you from staten island or brooklyn? I cant figure out your accent. Thank you for sharing the video
I was thinking the same thing, no way he was born in Texas
No steam clean in the seats?
Love the spray nine bottle 🤘
Ya know, things don't have to be all or nothing... I use certain products for some types of things, stains, etc., and others for others...
You should do a video on spray nine
Is this 4 to 1 or straight super clean?
Try using folex i use that on seats
U should use a extractor not a microfiber towel.
Great video on super clean..
I love Scott
