THIS is exactly the right thing to do if your extractor is out of commission. Tip: You can bring a 90/10 dilution of distilled water and white vinegar (spray bottle) for a rinse after the upholstery has been cleaned. The vinegar also helps to speed up dry times. Advice: Do NOT drench the upholstery, only use enough product to get the dirt to loosen up. Only use enough "rinse" to mop up the majority of left behind cleaner.
Great vid bro, yesterday I did a 2004 GMC Sierra with tan cloth seats that had some stains, I proceeded to go in with chem guys lightning fast and my drill brush and got great results. I did not extract due to it currently being December and I knew the seats would take forever to dry if I extracted, still got great results. PS: If you dip your drill brush in a small bucket filled with warm water before each pass it does wonders, really helps active the cleaner and lift the stains off the fabric!
@@seankeyapowell6472 I have a Milwaukee M18 drill it’s been a great tool. But tbh you don’t need an expensive drill if you’re just starting off any cordless drill will work fine
@@danielzpcsk85 yes and no, the extractor helps with neutralizing the chamical and pulling all liquids out of the fabric. You can just vacuum witha. flat attatchment for the same results
Great video…I just got a work truck from a steel shop in that the seats and armrest are hit!!! These are the exact same stains the truck have, perfect I already have Super Clean but also have an extractor. Thanks again Josh on great tips
I used Superclean diluted 10:1 and the results were great on my 13 Silverado with black seats. I scrubbed with a soft brush and got a lot of dirt out. Thanks!
Great video and very useful info. I’ve experimented with super clean and it certainly is a good product for being consumer grade. I’ll definitely give this method a try with it. Please keep the videos coming
@IMJOSHV Are you using the Super Clean mainly because of the type of dirt getting into this particular car (oils etc from machine shop) or would you recommend Super Clean for everyday cleaning?-in my case spilled pop mostly.
What is a good tip for the seats not to feel damp after all the cleaning and extracting. I have good results when I clean but when I use my extractor it leaves a dampness to the seats. And most of my customers need it same day. Thanks.
Extract the crap out of it, but even still, it's gonna be a little bit soiled. I usually explain to my customers that get a seat shampoo that the seats will be a little damp for a few hours after the detail. If they need it right after it's detailed, explain to them that shampooing the seats will cause them to be damp and to either schedule for another day or not shampoo the seats.
You made a 10 year old car 'New' again. Nice job. I will implement your technique(bought all the stuff) on my 2011 Kia Soul front seats. They are black underneath the brown sludge...let's hope I find it. I subscribed...good luck to your channel.
Looks good . About the only thing I do different is I clean the dash , windshield / back window and carpet b4 the seats . Dont want to sit on damp seats .
If you have stitching on the seats that could get damaged by the drill brush, what would your recommendation be for agitating stains safely? A microfiber or is there something else safe to use?
You’re not going to get stains out with super clean and a drill brush unless you’re super lucky. I agree with JoelDetailing, steam is a better option for staining. However, if it’s just dirty, no staining, a soft bristle or drill brush will have no adverse effects on exposed stitching. I still believe hot water extraction (with enzyme pre-spray) is best for upholstery cleaning but if that’s not an option, there are alternatives.
Thank you for your video. I will take your advice and ratios to try on my own car. It’s the first time I’ll be doing this and your video was very inspiring to me.
What's up Josh This helps me out alot Speaking of stain extraction Got a client coming in about a week or so 2015 Lexus RX 350...she got red lipstick in her headliner I have no clue how to even try and get this out Any and all feedback is helpful Thanks bro
What’s in the spray bottle btw looks aysome waiting to try it but don’t have drill brush and I don’t know that’s in that spray bottle because I don’t know what to use
Please mention how many microfibre towels you use (a few, 10 15, 20...) so the viewer will know if he should buy more towels.I only have 4 or 5 on-hand.
You can use a body towel for a car seat or just anything that can absorb the moisture..we dont care about scratches when cleaning the seat, just use any kind of good towels for the job.
What cleaner is that? I couldn't find it listed and i've tried chemical guys interior cleaner but it didn't really do much I have some stains in a car I bought and trying to make it look better
Purple power or purple degreaser diluted 10-1 20-1 30-1 you can use that for a whole detail and be fine. I’ve worked on construction caution trucks and they would come in disgusting and just that purple shit and some acid for white paint would make a junk car look new after 8 hours
I use la's totally awesome. It has a strong smell too but the idea is to get the cloth clean. You can always air the vehicle out and dry it at the same time by opening the doors. I vacuum up what i can. But I do my cleaning with tuff stuff and elbow grease and follow up with awesome. I've done it on beige auto interiors that have never been cleaned. Let me tell you it works. The brushes I use are the oxo scrub brushes from Target. I bought two of them at the same time. I have different brushes for tough nap flooring though.

well bait and switch since you ended up using extractor and not handy tools. so you show no actual results. just typical extractor results. now for somebody who has used everything under the sun. the ONLY way to achieve such results without the specialty tools (steamers, extractors etc) is to strip the upholstery off the foam (some seats let you, others not) and hardcore wash it.
