I know we're like six months away from the launch of Survivor, but I'd love some more news on it. Since the reveal trailer, pretty much the only additional information we've gotten on it has been through toy reveals. Give us a gameplay trailer!
I assume we will soon.
The rumour of March popped up but was given the "we won't confirm or deny" speech by EA.
My takeaway is March is the release date, but they haven't announced it because the game could be pushed back as development may have snagged.
If they come and say; "It's coming in March" then it gets delayed, we lose our minds at EA and Respawn, but if it gets delayed before any announcements then they've done no damage.
No that will spoil it just be patient damn acting like your gonna die without it
I'm very glad the KOTOR remake hasn't been canceled. I was super worried for it and for Eclipse, as they're both probably the closest we're gonna get to my ideal Star Wars game for now... Interested in Jedi Survivor but KOTOR and Eclipse are my most hyped Star Wars games ever, so... yeah, happy to hear this.
That said, I am still majorly disappointed with Lucasfilm Games. They should just have not told us about any of this until it was close to release. I just want an era of constant Star Wars games.
Yea, can’t really vouch for their intelligence considering how many good Star Wars games got canceled after the sale to Disney just so they could make a quick money grab giving the exclusive rights to ea. 1313 and the darth maul game would have probably killed if they just left Lucas arts intact long enough to finish them

@@dantens2010 We don't know much except that it's set during the High Republic, will have multiple playable characters, branching storylines and is rumored to be open world. Sounds almost 100% like my ideal Star Wars game, though I'd like for sandbox elements to be present so I can really "live" in the Star Wars galaxy.
@@jakobfel2 that does sound ideal. I remember hearing a group discussing the ideal Star Wars game, where you can choose the path of a Jedi, sith, or bounty hunter. The potential of possibilities is endless due to so much untapped Lore I’ve learned more then I even knew existed from UA-cam. It’s a shame they haven’t done better with games and animation

Really good news I hope in the September showcase show us a lot of Star Wars games and something about kotor remake (maybe not a gemplay or a release date) but at least a more large trailer of history or perhaps the characters models.

I see Star Wars gaming news, and i click hahahaha. I'm just dying to see Jedi Survivor hopefully Disney shows it at it's gaming showcase the only title I'm interested in, TSS could see some DLC with Kenobi or Andor tie ins. I can't get my hopes up but a Revival of project ragtag or 1313 would be siiiiiick but not holding my breath.
Eclipse might as well be in a galaxy far far away so my interest is dwindling and the lack of High Republic content makes it worse Disney need to work on a trilogy or Clone Wars like series to revamp interest as I don't know if the comic series is doing good.

I'd love something similar to the stance system from Ghost of Tsushima. Could lead to different playstyles and plays well into NG+. Style two skill tree good for many boss battles or Single target damage while for example style three in open areas against many stormtroopers or very defensive players that like to counter.
Getting to specialize in lightsaber forms would add a nice way to progress without having to bump Cal back to square one on force powers
This. I haven't even played Ghost of Tsushima (want to SO bad) but from what I've seen, I'd be 100% on board with the KOTOR remake taking that route, even implementing more open world features (but not the Ubisoft style).
the game needs to get the basics right first. fallen order was a shitty sekiro, feels like ur fighting underwater. blocks and deflections need to be more fluid and the jank needs to be ironed out.

@@jakobfel2 @Jacob lol firstly, jfo is a soulslike game. just a mediocre one. difficulty isnt the appeal of souls games despite video game "journalists" always squawking about how hard they are. souls games are just really well designed, sekiro in particular has one of the best melee combat systems ever imo. the world design in bloodborne is what makes me replay it, not cuz i want my balls busted by overpowered bosses. fallen order was directly inspired by sekiro, but with a lot more jank animation wise and in general. (also 40% of the gameplay is the same crawling animation thru a crevice lol) the world design is samey and there is no reason to explore cause everything u find is cosmetic. in elden ring if u explore u find entire new open world maps hidden in an unassuming drainpipe lol. trust me man the star wars franchise deserves better, this game is an absolute 6/10. i enjoyed jfo the first playthrough cause its star wars but the 2nd was unbearable. the game doesnt need to be harder, it needs to be more polished and thought out. its a good direction for jedi games but executed in a very mediocre way.
I'm sure people are tired of answering this question, but can someone explain to me the challenges/difficulty in getting a developer to either make a KOTOR 3 or why it's taking so long to just remaster the first one? Additionally, are there talks for remastering the second one as well?
Is it as simple as there's not much money in a single-player RPG without microtransactions?
Ok, so...
An RPG is a BIG task, especially an RPG that's seen by many as the cream of the crop. There's a ton of moving parts, what with weapons, items, all the mathematical stuff that comes with D&D style games, planets, environments, NPCs, quests, sidequests, enemies, art design, just a total smorgasbord of content. Oh, and all that I just mentioned has to be tailored to change depending on player choice. And don't forget that it's a REMAKE too, so who knows what new stuff they'll want to add to make it a proper next-gen experience. In short, there's a *LOT* to get done, and even more to make sure it functions properly. Hope that answers your question!
Why does the lightsaber in the trailer not double bladed?
I think that we will hear more about sky dance new media SW game when there marvel game(maybe fantastic four or defenders) is near release or when it releases. or sky dance have a big enough staff to work on both games and their SW game comes out only like a year after their marvel game.
At least we're getting new star wars shows while any games arent releasing

I feel like Star Wars and Harry Potter are made for Holiday releases. They’re just Christmas and cold weather vibe franchises. It’s disappointing that we won’t get new content for either franchise this holiday season

I hope they redo the combat in old republic it was pretty bad lol a new lightsaber combat mechanic hopefully
i'd personally really like to see Santa Monica (the people behind GoW2018) and some of the devs behind TFU1 to put something battlefront-two-ish out; support for multiplayer and singleplayer (IN EQUAL PARTS, EA!) that, unlike bf2 dueling, utilises a diverse range of abilities and mechanics. ideally, it'd be as follows:
force pushes, saber throws, lightning, etc., would all be default abilities pertaining to all relevant characters; i.e. every single jedi and sith should be able to forcepush. i'm thinking in the context of, beneath unique abilities, everyone has starkiller's moveset (save for more lightsighted abilties, like mind trick, which would be exclusive to jedi, and some more,,, gruesome things that would be unique to sith, like saber impale and force choke.)
abilities that all force users would have but would not be limited to are:
-more passive pushes, like push and repulse
-environmental manipulation, via pull, push, levitate, etc.
-agility-based moves
-some kind of healing mechanic
of course, these moves can be curated and altered for certain purposes. sith abilities should be more brutal, jedi abilities should be more defensive, it should be easier for jedi to recover from stun-type things and easier for sith to recover from horrifying acts of maiming and near-death (looking at you maul). this flexibility would allow for strange exceptions, like yoda's absorbing block.
abilities should be shoehorned into the game in the same fashion that GoW's were; holding down one button can change the entire controller, and multiply the number of available "inputs". doing so also allows for unique abilities, allowing characters to utilize unique abilities as they had in bf2, such as kylo's frenzy or maul's spin.
you'll also notice something integral from GoW's mechanics that would astronomically improve upon the elements of TFU and BF2: actual mechanics. multiple types of attacks with dedicated buttons, a dedicated parry mechanic, the utter diversity of kratos's moveset would bring the earth-shattering experience of a star wars duel down from the heavens to our lowly tarnished land.
i also think that inspiration should be taken from the original battlefront games, by ensuring that heroes and villains arent the focus of the game, something easily achievable by creating a separate branch of "trooper only" games.
a dedicated campaign with a healthy heaping of offline and local playmodes would also be nice. mayhaps take their a.i. from GoW mobs.

They need to just higher the mod team that was making a KOTOR remake and was forced to stop by Disney. They had good content built, were dedicated fans and were doing everything at the time for free. Think about what they could do if they weren't just working in off time for no money.

Why does anyone care about the Lego games? Is it just me? I never understand the hype with those of anyone over the age of 12.
Man the lego games are trash, whu would they waste all that effort on making a game with great settings, epic space battles, out of legos. Its like we cannot have the perfect game
