I am hoping this is my issue. What happens is that the 5th bow unlatches and raises very slightly but is HEAVY to the touch, as if the bungees were not there, perhaps worse. I have replaced the bungees. The hydraulic fluid reservoir appears filled so I have assumed the lines aren’t leaking. The pump does make a running sound, so I have assumed that it is not it. The rear hatch will fully open and close, it is entirely the 5th bows fault, including not folding into the compartment space correctly. It has been a long time since I have attempted to operate the top though.
Just had similar issue with my 2010 370z roadster! Would not function at all including trunk not opening Nissan service had it apart didn’t make any changes but got it going ! $800 diagnostic! Codes B177A and B177C!
