Unfortunately you shouldn’t make SPF products at home because it’s extremely difficult to formulate a proper SPF without having it lab tested. SPF products are considered a drug, so that won’t be a product i create at home. Sorry about that. SPF ingredients can be extremely difficult to keep suspended properly in a formula so due to this the products have to be lab tested to see what the actual SPF rating is. You can not guess it. It looks just like most emulsified scrubs. Sorry I didn’t do a demo I recorded a months worth of videos last minute and had to edit them last minute as well. I have other videos where I make emulsified scrubs and this one performs the same. also all emulsified scrubs melts and get harder the day after you make them. You need to account for that
It will melt in higher temperatures but should just go back to how it was. Mostly all emulsified scrubs melt in higher temps you can’t really prevent it.
Loved this, although I didn’t have almond or sunflower oil. So I subbed that out for 50/50 jojoba & avocado. I wish it was a tad more hydrating but it is lovely.
This scrub looks absolutely absolutely delicious. Much better than the brand name. I am going to make it. And then use the base for different scents. I would like you to dupe The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter. That smell, and that texture. 😊 Can you do that? Please?
In my experience with sugar scrubs the color is always perfect until you add in the sugar...Once added it will lighten up pretty good...just food for thought :)

hello! I hope you read my message, I would like to know what type of coconut oil you used. I made the scrub and it didn't look like yours. The oil completely separated from the mixture and the only difference I had in the ingredients was the coconut oil. The coconut oil you use is creamy and mine was liquid. I would appreciate it if you tell me what type of coconut oil you used.
what can I do if my scrub isn't hardening the next day? it's still quite runny and I have followed the recipe to the T. The temperature is warmer where I live but I want my body scrubs to harden more please assist.

Yes, yours looks like it has way more structure. I'd guess that their coconut oil percentage was way higher, looking at their texture and what you said about melting. Maybe you should call your dupe 'improvements' ;)

I have doubt other than optiphen what are the other preservatives can be used in anhydrous formulation I have searched but it's not available in India . I think they create slightly different textures, plus you have to keep in mind that sodium carbomer needs to be at a pH of 6 or higher to gel I believe.
