    Hi Tara 😍-not "failed." I have a thought here on what happened from first time you made it. I've made this so MANY times "as is" over the months and love it's dough consistency. It's especially my fav in summer to help get the Hawaiian Tropic off after Cali pool time. Sooooo, because I've watched you for so long and kinda get when you said " when I made it before it was a lot softer." I sometimes see and transpose my 6 & 9's...............do you think the first go around was actually 9% Coco Betaine and 6% SCI vs. this one of 9% SCI and 6% Coco Betaine? I'm gonna play and see what happens. Much Love to ya sister, you're ALWAYS AMAZING and those wrists / hands look like you're moving so well. 🙏 Lori

      @@Mauvefalcone I did experiment and only very very slightly was it a wee bit "softer" vs. "doughy". I personaly love it as written myself, but I can see where some patrons would prefer a more scoopable type scrub. Tara does have plenty of other sugar scrub recipes here as well as a true scoopable. I don't see this as a fail at all.

    Tara how can I incorporate tumeric to this?

    • @TaraLeee
      @TaraLeee  2 місяці тому

      my suggestion would be to add in some turmeric extract. Unfortunately if you use the powder it will stain. I use straight turmeric in a product recently and I ruined my apron and tons of towels. The stain won't come out. So be carful using it straight. You could try using a really tiny amount of turmeric though, but be careful.

    Thanks, Tara. Regarding the thickness.. could your water have evaporated in the final stage of heating with the stearic acid? Also a question on preserving. Some say you only preserve your batch without including the sugar added. That probably doesn't make sence, I mean making the sugar an additive after the rest of the formula totals 100%.

    I’ve been using a recipe for the foaming bath base where you put all 5 ingredients together in a double brown then stir constantly for 15 minutes , turns out great , then after it cools you add a preservative and pinch of citric acid for the ph .
    After that I take 15oz of the base , 1.5oz of any oil of choice , I usually melt down a hard butter , 15oz of sugar , and .50oz of fragrance/ essential oil blend .
    Sometimes I reduce the fragrance or essential oils bc some of them can be a little strong .

    Ti seguo ormai da molto tempo e credo che tu abbia una grande esperienza , quindi se posso vorrei porti una domanda/sfida. Secondo te è possibile ottenere uno scrub dalla consistenza simile a quella di questo prodotto realizzato in questo video che ti linko...?
    ua-cam.com/video/GH5Foa1U7Pg/v-deo.htmlsi=5vktA48oUuQV07FK
    Ho provato a realizzare la formula così come presentata dalla persona che ha creato il tutorial, ma la consistenza che ottengo non è nemmeno lontanamente simile a quella mostrata nel video. Ebbene mi piacerebbe proprio capire come ottenere quella consistenza gelatinosa ma anche non appiccicosa, sapresti aiutarmi? Grazie e scusa per il lungo messaggio. CIAO
