Often, I wonder about cruisers who walk around barefooted in places where they can't easily get antibiotics! You're taking your lives in your own hands! Safe travels ❤
For two days I have been binge watching , I have sailed many times and my only regret in life was not to buy boat to sail the Atlantic,go guys. And god speed x😊
Hi both. I discovered your channel 2 weeks ago having returned from our first sailing holiday in Greece. I have watched every episode from the start so I'm nearly up to date! Loving the content, the travelog and of course Teulu. You are very inspiring and so positive. Thank you for sharing your journey and i look forward to travelling along with you (virtually of course😂)
I think that was a good practice test for early Hurricane season. A named storm will get your attention and help you focus, now that you have one early season storm under your belt you will know what needs to be streamlined for the next storm. Hopefully you can just dance around whatever Hurricanes do develop this season. Stay safe, love the channel!
For sure, plus, it was really interesting to watch how it moved and developed, although was still slightly nerve wracking with the prospect of a hurricane heading out way!
Good morning. Thank you for making my morning coffee such an interesting time every Monday. I get to see so many wonderful places and experience all types of events through you and other channels I follow. Stay safe. I love your journey and you two. ❤🙏
New subscriber, I love the way you show the reality of daily life.. up's and downs, I'm living vicariously from your travels and experiences. Keep it up y'all 🤠👍❣️
So glad John! We thought about changing the posting day to a Sunday but so many people have mentioned the vid helps them get through the Monday grind so thought we would leave it as is 😀
Lovely video. As you use your yoghurt starter culture, it will get stronger, and your yoghurt will get thicker. What also works very well is when you place your warm milk mix into a thermal flask and leave overnight. 😊
The two of you have made my Monday once again. Interesting video and some valuable learning in case your caught in bad storms. ☆☆ Zach, look away ☆☆ Becka I could watch you make yogurt all day🤭 Ive never made a comment like that before😇 ☆☆ Ok Zack, you can look again.☆☆ Thanks for making my Monday more enjoyable! See you both in a week. Be safe.
Amazing video guys!! So inspirational to see you “bloody doing it”! We are “doing it” also from Mayflower marina - but small steps for us so far. Who know where we could go next year ….
Kick 'em Jenny might come from the use of Jenny being an alternate for Genoa jib? If the seas are rough or the winds changing if the jib swings you could be said to be 'kicked' by it? Or from Jenny being used to describe machines, like the 'spinning Jenny' in textile mills?
@@TeuluTribe Sorry Becka, but too much flesh for my liking. :-( I'm a man who likes women, but don't like them flaunting their wares. That scene lasted too long. Yes, I know I'm 'Old fashioned', but I found it off-putting and detracting from an otherwise great episode.
Hi, I love your channel, I did a Atlantic crossing in the mid 90s, it was an incredible experience. A couple of questions: what's your electric outboard? It's super neat. And do you not have paper charts? That makes me super nervous but maybe I'm just an old crusty sailor...
As someone with no knowledge of sail boats, when you get time I wonder if you could do a section on what sails do what and the name of each sail, so in the future I will have an understand on what you are doing when it comes to using your sails ⛵️ Cheers Rob
I hope you harvested some cactus stems / nopales at 8:51 they are very tasty, you can find a bunch of recipes online. Use gloves or a towel and a very sharp knife to shave off the thorns.
Thanks for another fun episode guys! Question for you.. Your anchor, are you happy with the way it holds in crappy weather? I have the same but yet to use it in anger....
You are welcome! And yes, very actually. We have a Rocna 20kg as a spare and this is a Delta 40kg, so is a much heavier (but basic style anchor). So far we have had almost 50kts and it didn't budge. I think as long as its oversized, set well, and you have plenty of rode out, you should be great with it
@@TeuluTribe I started watching Sven Yrvind build his own boat just over a year ago. Now there's an intersting gentleman if you get time to research him. He builds small ocean going crafts.
It is a line that runs from the rearward end of the boom, can be either side of the boat, to the bow, and back to winch or cleat, to prevent the boom crashing to opposite side of boat (accidental gybe) and pushing the boat off course, or worse still knocking a crewmember overboard. Used when a following wind (a run) could catch opposite side of sail in rough seas. Well , could be explained better, but a safety rope.
Touch screens and rain or spray dont always play nice .... Slight technical oversight from the technology guys.. thankfully you have a dry helmstation...😎
The name "Teulu" had me, continent continental EUropean, wondering Where That From. And how to pronounce. Germans would say "toyloo", Italians "tay-oo-loo" or French and Dutch would say "tölü". In the video you say, if I hear it correctly, "taylee". Dang. OK Google Translate - detect language - and turns out it's Welsh and means "family" and Google's loudspeaker makes it sound like "tooloo". So, which 'eg' has the perferred pronunciation? Gwyndodeg, Powyseg, Dyfedeg, or Gwenhwyseg?

So as you head into hurricane season are you planning to stay south to wait it out? Or head west in to the Gulf of Mexico? ( Thinking if you are circumnavigating the earth.) You could probably do a whole hot and sweaty year in the Caribbean and Bahamas. 😅

You can get antibiotics in the Caribbean lol

HI Becka and Zach! Another great video! I still can't get over how that new electric outboard sounds...silent!!

Just seen episode 4. I have a daughter living in Swansea and now know why you called the boat Teulu. Longyfarchiadau a gobeithio eich dau yn iawn.
