I love how tangerine actually listens to his brother when he rambles about Thomas, otherwise he wouldn’t have known the significance of the diesel sticker on the prince.
One of my favorite moments was how tangerine mentioned that he should be wearing ballistics list and lemon says that it only stops a bullet to your chest, not your neck, and then later in the movie, tangerine, dies from a bullet to the neck, not something I’ve seen many people pick up on it
Because for almost 2 decades we are fed with Superhero movies. Not to mention most of the critics are in Disney’s payroll so if it’s not MCU or Disney flick then most likely it will be burned down
By far the best thing about this movie is its commitment to Chekhov's gun. Every detail is somehow relevant to the action and it makes sure to keep it on your mind so the viewer is left wondering how it'll come into play.

In the beginning Lemon mentions why he doesn't like to wear bulletproof vests as they make you overconfident and you can just get shot in the neck while Tangerine responds that you could also get shot in the chest. Later in the film Lemon lives because he had a vest on and was shot in the chest while Tangerine dies because he was shot in the neck

The running gag with Thomas had me rolling every time it was brought up, *especially* the joke when Lemon tells Logan Lerman’s character he’s ‘More of a Percy.’
I don’t get why critics hated on this movie so much It wasn’t the deepest movie out there. But it was written well enough to be actually engaging for more than just action and comedy and overall just was really fun
Critics hate anything they aren't specifically paid off to like(with rare exceptions). Most of them have seen so many movies as part of their day job that it's not fun to watch Anything anymore.
At the end I think it’s implied that Ladybug’s bad luck is, like the story of the Ladybug the Elder/Father tells him, transitory. He takes the bad luck from others in passing, but when anybody tries to harm him (The Wolf, The Hornet, even The White Death at the end) the bad luck snaps back. He basically has explosive-reactive plot armour.
This was genuinely one of those movies that had me laughing all the way through while also having me on the edge of my seat. There were so many Chekhov's Guns that paid off in the most unexpected yet best possible ways.
@@horseradishpower9947 plot is anime like, where plot connections are made, the term ladybug is use very well, when the elder started explaining what it really means. Unlike other action movies which is straight on point, where the only thing that matters is if their plan will work or not.
One understated joke, that gets missed out: Ladybug is covering for Carver... who is portrayed by Ryan Reynolds. Meaning this is what you expect from a Ryan Reynolds film, but Brad Pitt is filling in for him.
@@JohnnyNumber11 Not mine, to be fair. Midnight's Edge in their morning livestreams mentioned it there. I did not initially click, as he was not credited. I reckon there is a lot of little things like this, in the film. Like how The Prince is the title of the book written by Niccolò Machiavelli, and talks about political manipulation, and how to be a puppet master of sorts. Hence Machiavellian.
Dude I went in thinking it was gonna be a fun, happy go lucky romp. It was very that but also much more, I'll never forgive them. I said aww out loud as I cried lmao not what I signed up for at all
The costume design also plays a big role in helping all of them feel distinctive from each other. Even Lemon and Tangerine, who could arguably be counted as “one” player in the overall situation (e.g. they share their onscreen name moment, when all the others get one each), the way they dress is very distinctive from each other, Tangerine being the smarter and more meticulous of the two while Lemon is more casual, fitting their respective personalities. And there’s a whole load of little details that reiterate this, like the moment at 12:56, where Tangerine takes care to carefully fold his coat out of the way and Lemon just chucks his across the isle onto a seat. And you can tell they both take pride in their respective appearances too. There’s a _ton_ of little moments like Lemon refusing to button up his jacket to hide the blood stains because he wants people to see his new tie, and Tangerine fixing himself up in mirrors or brushing stuff off his suit (like at 12:56), or my personal favourite, when Lemon fixes his brother’s tie for him while they’re trying to figure things out. I really love these two. Absolutely _bags_ of character.
I'm not even exaggerating when I say that this is by far the best film of the year and one of the most entertaining action movies in a very long time. An all time favorite for me
I find action movies like john Wick really boring personally, but the characters were so engaging and humorous, the way the action was so heavily influenced by the environment in every scene made it consistently entertaining and how everything that happened actually had an unexpected payoff was really surprising. I remember when Lemon is mourning over the death of his brother, but after jumping off the train he discovers a conveniently placed truck full of tangerines that also used to (coincidentally) kill the girl who killed his brother. Their nicknames went from a silly quirk to something really meaningful that further added onto the theme of fate.
I did not know about this movie nor am I a Brad Pitt fan nor was I aware this was in development But one thing I knew for sure, the moment I watched the trailer I knew I HAD to see this movie
Something that this movie has is that it's the perfect example of "show don't tell". Every character is shown as the absolute badass that it is: how Lemon and Tangerine start counting kills and showing them to us, how the backstory of the White Death is also developed so when he finally appears in the movie, we already have in our head he's dangerous. I think that helps a lot to make the characters memorable: we aren't told they are dangerous, the movie show it to us. That's why my favorite character was The Wolf. The movie spent a good while showing us how dangerous and terrible he was, even if it was really weird when the movie suddenly decides to jump 25 years in the past... to kill it the next scene. Even if he lasted so little, he's still very memorable, his character was great, we understood him perfectly and was very related to everything that happened after that. Amazing how they did that.
its not show dont tell if the white death is literally taught to us through a massive exposition dump lol; dont get me wrong i loved the film but come on
@@Crossfade1625 Even if it was an exposition dump, it's a way better exposition dump than most movies do exposition dumps. We saw him, we saw he's dangerous, and the scene with him shooting the yakuza boss in the head, it causes an impact, it sells the character and it marks him as the menace he is. And when it finally appears, he maintains his dangerous status. It may be an exposition dump, but it's a well done exposition dump.
The characters' quirks are what I loved about this movie, along with how they played into the kind of characters the actors usually play. We've all seen Brad Pitt play an action hero. But did we see him be really into self-help and wear a silly hat? Hiroyuki Sanada plays the same dignified, katana-wielding badass he's been typecast as since the Last Samurai, but the Elder is also kind, fond of silly metaphors and he's really into flower arrangement.
My favourite characters in Bullet Train is Lemon and Tangerine. I love how Lemon’s obsession with Thomas The Tank Engine is used as a major plot point, it’s hilarious
This movie was an absolute rollercoaster and I loved it. An 100% blast. Lemon and tangerine made a great duo and were hilarious, and I especially loved the Thomas & Friends references. Overall, its cinema.
Totally agree, at first the references of Thomas & Friends sounded like just pushed comedic relief, but the moment Tangerine sees the "Diesel" sticked in the Princes back and immediately understand the message left by Lemon... that blow my mind it was the moment I noticed that film was not just a stupid action-comedy... it portraited the relationship and partnership between L&T to the point of understanding such a "Subtle" message
Genuinely became one of the best films I've ever seen. Not in technical feats, or anything like that. Just excellent direction, acting, writing, and pure entertainment value
I honestly thought this movie was going to fade into obscurity solely based on the fact that me and my family were the ONLY ones in the whole cinema room to watch the movie, but I’m glad that it did well
So sad people missed out on this one. Rare film that delivers what it promises. Super fun. Top 3 movie of the year. And people wonder why Hollywood only makes sequels.
I don't get how critics didn't really like this one. This movie wasn't trying to do anything super deep or life changing, or be anything more than a fun movie. And this movie totally delivered. Very well written characters, fun plot and setting, extremely well done action, cinematography, and soundtrack, no aspect on its own was particularly original but each individual part was so well done that I had a complete blast the entire time through. Seriously anyone who hasn't seen this movie already get a couple friends together and see this in the theater if possible, it's just a really fun time from start to finish.
I guess it has more to do with the fact that this was a Japanese novl adapted into a movie and it was "whitewashed" I bet the critics didn't even know it was from a novel before looking it up and passing judgement
@@marcusj17 Or maybe it's exactly because they saw it was a "whitewashed" novel and immediately passed judgment without actually paying further attention?
There's plenty of weaknesses in the film. It doesn't make best use of its best characters, the least interesting characters get the most time, and a lot of what is fun about it has been done better before. It had some things going for it like having some quiet good characters, and they make solid use of the train and the stations. The general response of 'a decent night at the movies but not world-changing' is entirely fair.
It has its issues imo. The pacing isn't great and it really didn't need an overblown CGI finale. I also think that while I really enjoyed how all their stories were interconnected, some of the connections felt a bit forced and contrived and some of the reveals felt shallow and convenient with little build up. As a movie experience, I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed it. It's the most fun I've had with a blockbuster in years, and I love all the characters. As a film, it's far from perfect.
This film was equivalent to Knives Out, in terms of being a master class in Set Up and Pay Off. Even the most minute detail, was brought full circle by the end of the film, and there was never a feeling of anything that came out of nowhere. The whole film was about fate, and how every little thing played into it.
When the truck death happened, I said out loud "Why does that always happen? Are truck drivers not paying attention?". I'm fully satisfied the movie answered that question just a few moments later in the credits.
Had a lot of fun watching this movie. I had thought Ladybug was actually White Death for a moment after noticing all his "kills" are using the attackers own weapon. Such a small detail but I like the little things like that.
With Ladybug constantly winning his fights due to his opponents seemingly taking on his bad luck, I was half-expecting the White Death to do his usual Russian roulette trick and shoot himself in the head.
This honestly was one of the smartest films I've seen in ages. It does get head-spinningly confusing off the bat with everyone going through different motivations and side stories, but the payoff is worth it.
Fun fact about bullet train: the timing on the route they supposedly take is not only shorter than the time mentioned in the movie, it's shorter than the movie's run time
A second viewing is *so* worth it, especially because of all of the clever bits of foreshadowing that you miss the first time. Like the bullet vest talk between Lemon and Tangerine pretty much explicitly detailing how the two of them end up
One thing I loved about this movie is something Hot Fuzz taught me to appreciate. There's so many setups and payoffs throughout the movie. Little jokes that get peppered in inconsequentially that pay off later on. I could see myself watching this movie many times and catching new jokes I missed.
The Novel is also quite fantastic if anyone hasn't read it before. REALLY wish this had a Manga tho. Would've LOVED to see what a talented Artist could achieve with this script!
People are constantly saying this is "from the director of John Wick".. It's from the uncredited co-director of John Wick, so I thought this was a Chad Stahelski movie - basically John Wick x Orient Express - but instead I was pleasantly surprised. This movie feels like a Guy Ritchie movie, and when you're going for fun whacky action comedy, that's about he biggest compliment you can get. Loved it from beggining to end
Bullet Train is a freaking INSANELY good movie. It’s masterfully crafted and I’m so glad it was such a success. Great video and great breakdown of this incredible movie.
He's just so cool. He's cool when he's trying to be cool (Fight Club), yet just as cool when he's trying to be a bumbling (but skilled) idiot like Ladybug.
This movie is written perfection for me. It's not the plot that drives the story. It's the characters. That's what I like about this movie. The theme of fate and how everything ties at the end is amazing. Plus all of the characters quirks are just great. What a movie! Highly recommended if you haven't seen it. It's a really fun movie!
I actually found it cool when they were talking about what role a ladybug plays in Japanese culture. It harboring all of the bad luck so others can have good luck. Usually a ladybug is a symbol of good luck But the Japanese and this version of a ladybug both apply to Brad Pitt’s character.
I absolutelly adore this movie. Went to the cinema with some friends to watch it and we all loved it, the most fun i have ever had in the cinema, so funny. Actually original and different for an action blockbuster and my favorite movie of the year so far
Bullet Train is actually now one of my if not my most favorite movie of all time. There were so many aspects and little things even as far as the filmography that were just so impressive and well done. And the through lines of the story were just amazingly done.
It is so rare to see competent movies like this one. So neatly tied up. Every element introduced has a pay off, some have multiple pay offs increasing in depth. Every time I started to wonder about something that didn´t make sense (according to in universe logic at least) the movie had an answer ready a couple of minutes later. Me, thinking: Why is the train so suddenly empty, did they run out of money for extras? White death: I bought all seats so I know whoever remains is the people I have to kill. Me: A bit clichéd and lazy that kissing booth over here just gets run over, but I guess that´s how fate operates. Movie: Nah, it was lemon with a tangerine truck. Me for a split second: So are people really falling asleep after just a few sips of drug water? Movie at the beginning: Brad don´t go overboard with the sleep powder, you almost killed a guy last time. Brad proceeds to go over every possible board with the sleeping powder making the water ultra potent. It was neat which helped my neurotic ass enjoy it that much more.
My friends asked me how to describe this film and I was like Classic Guy Ritchie: every one involved is a character and somehow connected and culminates in a satisfying conclusion with very few if any loose ends.
And in the early act when Lemon and Tangerine suited up and talking about vests. L: "I don't really luke it. It raises a false sense of security. You could be shot on the neck." T: "Yeah, but it protects you from being shot on the chest." Turns out they both got it right. Though personally I was hoping the tangerine truck was empty to imply Tangerine got his revenge in a way and save Ladybug as thanks for finding his brother alive by the hands of fate, but I understand they had to show Lemon was alive and not just in a minute.
I find this movie fascinating as an adaptation. For the first half of the movie it follows the book really well. The main difference is that the book is more grounded and the humorous elements, which also exist in the book, are toned down. However, because of that difference in tone, the book's ending no longer fit the movie, so they changed it. They continued to play on the tone they had established and had a ridiculous, action-packed ending, and I think that decision was brilliant. It really worked for the film in a way it wouldn't for the book and vice versa. Just that difference in tone had such drastic impact on story progression. My only gripe with the film is I was disappointed with the Prince. They really dumbed down the character.
Joey King is truly a talented actress, it’s a shame she’s in so many terrible movies. I was happy to see her in this working with big names in a big movie, and getting to show off some excellent acting skills👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Yeah, she really is incredible. I've watched MOST of the movies she's been in, even the bad ones that I lowkey enjoyed like The Kissing Booth series, and it's evident the amount of range and skill she has. I hope to see her still killing it in 20 years.
@@jacksavere6988 hey ditto man, I've only seen her in this and that terrible kissing booth movie. I'm sure she does great, she just seemed hammy to me. But that's just my say, I could totally be wrong and in the minority, to each their own my dude.
I saw the trailer once and was instantly hooked. That never happened to me before. Then i watched it and my high expectation exploded. I love this movie! Easily one of my Top 10.
Felt so much like SNATCH where it just doesn’t stop. Brad is such a good actor! I love these “limited space” movies where directors need to get really creative.
A good movie to show how foreshadowing can be used extremely effectively, like how near the beginning of the movie in the Winchester they nonchalantly reference the shotgun over the bar and how it is probably not real, then at the end of the movie the shotgun plays a pivatol role. And so many more subtle references to things that will be important later.
Such a refreshing movie that isn't shackled to a universe or sequel, and does its own thing in an exciting/entertaining fashion. It's like finding a tall glass of water after traversing through the desert.
The Prince/Princess is even worse in the book. He (he's a he in the original) is basically a complete psychopath who hurts people for fun at every turn. But the best part is that at the end, Kimura's father deconstructs his entire character for what he really is: a spoiled pissy bully who thinks that being a horrible person means he's smarter than everyone else.
I think there are two types of movies; one with carefully placed characters around the plot, and the other with stylish and attractive characters over the plot. This is definitely a good example of the latter imo
I think that despite the "stylish and attractive" characters, they all have a reason to be there, and everything has a payoff in the end. Everything in the movie has a payoff afaik.
that transition into the ad segment was so good that when i realised it was happening i was just waiting for it to go further and for the ad section to start, perfectly made
Ngl i predicted just about everything that happened in this movie (the mascot being evil, the diesel sticker being left on the girl etc) but the fact that it all happened showed a great attention to detail and storytelling. The end got a tad out of hand story wise but in terms of pure goofy spectacle it was perfect. I smiled my entire way through this movie, and busted out laughing multiple times!
Predicted the water bottle and lemon putting on a vest after tangeriens concern. Im mostly glad it didnt do any stupid subverting of expectation. You should be able to predict alot of things in films.
Saw this on my birthday, and it was honestly one of my favorite film experiences ever. Lemon and Tangerine were such an entertaining duo that I was rooting for until the very end.
That was my favorite part when they both have been injected with poison and brand Pitt is waiting for her to pull out the antidote and times it’s perfect to injects himself with it and he’s like you didn’t bring a 2nd one? Lol you should always come prepared. That looks like it really hurts. Is there anything I can do for u? Lol
My two favorite action movies are Kingsmen: The Secret Service and Baby Driver. This movie fits with those two for me. When I first saw it I fell in love with it. It’s the right amount of goofy with action to just be there. These three movies are my trifecta and I go back and watch them constantly.
So if you want to write Personalities for your own characters, here are the things you need to keep in mind: - The character's likes and dislikes - How they react to things or respond to certain situations - What unique or original thoughts they have - What they casually do when they are alone - How open minded they are to suggestions or new ideas - How much they care about something or just anything in general - How they behave themselves on their own - Their personal desires
Went to check it out with friends for my birthday and boy am I glad I picked this movie! Basically went into it blind, which is honestly the best way of going to the movies. This movie was so well done. It balanced action and comedy perfectly while also having an engaging story with a big but great cast of characters (corresponding with the cast of great actors). Seeing it in a positive analysis video of yours, couldn't ask for more.
Weaving the sponsors into examples, providing genuinely good advice while seamlessly transitioning into the leftover details that end up taking a fraction of the time since the characteristics of it have already been explained is impressive. And it also inadvertently shows how exposition should ideally function; as something that's woven into the narrative so that it comes out organically and with purpose, rather than dumping all the info at the end.
Only went to see it since Hurricane Ian knocked out our power and found it to be surprisingly good. Even my mom who doesnt like violence or gore in movies actually really enjoyed it. Great characters and acting really elevated this movie
This is the most fun I have had watching a movie in years, which I genuinely didn’t think would be the case. Despite it just being on one train with a shit ton of different characters, it still manages to be engaging, and most of all funny.
Brian Tyree Henry has to be one of the best actors of the decade. He was more than decent in Eternals, Incredible in Bullet train, and do we really need to say how good he was in GVK (assuming the same for the sequel)
Had to pause just to say the ad placement was expertly placed. Top tier. Edit: Finished the video. Another great one. I actually just watched Bullet Train a few days ago, so this was exciting to see so soon after I watched it.
This movie is a master class of set up- pay off, every Moment is a back and forward of constant set ups and pay offs. Every single detail in this movie ends up being important and so satisfying to watch everything just snap perfectly at the end.
Bullet train was like an unexpectedly good serving of junk food. Splashy fun that played around with a few character-based concepts, and the plot was wrapped around that for the hell of it. For some reason I kept getting reminded of a dead rising game with a better plot, each character does charactery things and you enjoy the ride just to see what happens to them
YESSS SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT TOO honestly my only complaint was with certain writing elements that got a bit messy- i wasn't really sure why the wasp/wolf were brought in or what they meant at the end about "pushing the wrong kid"? Idk some plot stuff felt a little confusing BUT overall it was a thrilling ride, the humor was very good and the characters like you said felt incredibly real and entertaining. lemon and tangerine were my unexpected favs!
the point the main villain want to kill ryan reynold but instead being replace by brad pitt since ryan had stomach problem... the story point already point out from beginning that brad pitt character notice he feel abit unlucky....
- The Hornet (I think that's what you meant by Wasp) poisoned the neurosurgeon who was supposed to save the Boss' wife. - The Wolf is searching for the one who poisoned his bride and gang, and it was the Hornet. - The Boss paid the Hornet to poison his son. - The Boss gave info to the Wolf that the Hornet is going to be in the train (the file inside the Wolf's coat is filled with photos of the Hornet) - The Hornet will take care of the Son, The Wolf will take care of the Hornet. - The Boss will just simply pay the Wolf since he doesn't have any connection to his wife's death (as far as I can remember) or "silence" him as he's now just a lone wolf (ba dum tss) against a gang of yakuza. Also, "pushing the wrong kid" is just another evidence to push "the magic of fate" theme. The Boss is "controlling" the assassins to kill each other, but fate "controlling" the path of whose child is going to be thrown down by the Prince and leading to the Elder who held a grudge to the Boss.
i also found the wolf's story iffy at first but i realized i missed some things on my second watch. we know his crew found out who was responsible for the mass poisoning and handed him an envelope with the person's info in it. we see him attack ladybug and i thought it was because he believed ladybug did it but when we're later shown that it was the hornet's picture in his envelope i got confused. on my second watch, i realized that he had recognized ladybug as the man who bumped into him and his bride at his wedding. he knew the hornet poisoned his bride and guests but he probably assumed ladybug and the hornet worked together since ladybug was also at the wedding but survived. as for the elder, i also wondered why he said what he said about pushing the wrong kid. on the second watch, i assumed he meant to say it in a "you got the wrong one" type of way as in she did what she did and expected no repercussions but obv that won't be the case. it could also be him stating that she accidentally assisted him in his mission (he said he's been trying to figure out a way to get his revenge even in his hiding) to get back at the white death, her father(not knowing that she also wanted her father dead). one thing i wish i could get an answer for is how/why the father yuichi worked for the white death (maybe I'm mistaken but i heard the prince say that was how she pinpointed and chose him) if the white death and the elder(yuichi's father) are archenemies
Saw this with mom and dad & they generally don't enjoy action movies unless its a actor they recognise from their heyday but they really enjoyed it so if a movie can entertain someone who doesn't normally enjoy action movies then it's doing it job as movie.
Finally got the chance to sit down and watch this movie. Everything you pointed out in this movie does make it fun to watch and special. The entire cast nailed their parts. The banter between Lemon and Tangerine was brilliant. Using Thomas the Tank Engine to describe characters in a movie set on a train works to perfection.

One understated joke, that gets missed out: Ladybug is covering for Carver... who is portrayed by Ryan Reynolds. Meaning this is what you expect from a Ryan Reynolds film, but Brad Pitt is filling in for him.

I reckon there is a lot of little things like this, in the film. Like how The Prince is the title of the book written by Niccolò Machiavelli, and talks about political manipulation, and how to be a puppet master of sorts. Hence Machiavellian.

Their nicknames went from a silly quirk to something really meaningful that further added onto the theme of fate.

how is it weird?
And it made me want to watch the movie because it looked fun
Amazing how they did that.
the wolf was great! one of the best sequences of the film
The man went thru an entire character arc in minutes. Then bowed out of the movie.
its not show dont tell if the white death is literally taught to us through a massive exposition dump lol; dont get me wrong i loved the film but come on
@@Crossfade1625 Even if it was an exposition dump, it's a way better exposition dump than most movies do exposition dumps.

I just had a really fun time watching this movie, loved how positive Brad pit was, no matter what was happening around him.
My favourite characters in Bullet Train is Lemon and Tangerine. I love how Lemon’s obsession with Thomas The Tank Engine is used as a major plot point, it’s hilarious

I guess it has more to do with the fact that this was a Japanese novl adapted into a movie and it was "whitewashed"
I bet the critics didn't even know it was from a novel before looking it up and passing judgement
I don’t trust critics anymore
This film was equivalent to Knives Out, in terms of being a master class in Set Up and Pay Off. Even the most minute detail, was brought full circle by the end of the film, and there was never a feeling of anything that came out of nowhere. The whole film was about fate, and how every little thing played into it.
yeah.
It feels so satisfying how everything got payed off.
When the truck death happened, I said out loud "Why does that always happen? Are truck drivers not paying attention?". I'm fully satisfied the movie answered that question just a few moments later in the credits.
How dare you even COMPARE this to Knives Out?

That's such a good detail
With Ladybug constantly winning his fights due to his opponents seemingly taking on his bad luck, I was half-expecting the White Death to do his usual Russian roulette trick and shoot himself in the head.

I won't lie, I laughed so hard when they revealed It was Lemon in a tangerine truck!
My friends asked me how to describe this film and I was like Classic Guy Ritchie: every one involved is a character and somehow connected and culminates in a satisfying conclusion with very few if any loose ends.
i enjoyed the movie way more the second time i watched it. seeing all the little details before the reveals was incredibly satisfying
And in the early act when Lemon and Tangerine suited up and talking about vests.
L: "I don't really luke it. It raises a false sense of security. You could be shot on the neck."
T: "Yeah, but it protects you from being shot on the chest."
Turns out they both got it right.
Though personally I was hoping the tangerine truck was empty to imply Tangerine got his revenge in a way and save Ladybug as thanks for finding his brother alive by the hands of fate, but I understand they had to show Lemon was alive and not just in a minute.
Have you heard about white truck of doom ?
I think the fourth wall breaks made the movie more impactful and gave a lot of emotion to scenes that would usually be bland "show don't tell"

I freaking loved this movie! I even almost cried during a certain scene.
When lemon sits with tangerine's body?
A good movie to show how foreshadowing can be used extremely effectively, like how near the beginning of the movie in the Winchester they nonchalantly reference the shotgun over the bar and how it is probably not real, then at the end of the movie the shotgun plays a pivatol role. And so many more subtle references to things that will be important later.
Such a refreshing movie that isn't shackled to a universe or sequel, and does its own thing in an exciting/entertaining fashion. It's like finding a tall glass of water after traversing through the desert.
Fun Fact: Keanu Reeves was supposed to do a cameo that would’ve connected it the John Wick universe
The fact that the diesel thing came full circle was amazing.
So basically the casting of Joey King was another fail in her career

So if you want to write Personalities for your own characters, here are the things you need to keep in mind:
- The character's likes and dislikes
- How they react to things or respond to certain situations
- What unique or original thoughts they have
- What they casually do when they are alone
- How open minded they are to suggestions or new ideas
- How much they care about something or just anything in general
- How they behave themselves on their own
- Their personal desires

Weaving the sponsors into examples, providing genuinely good advice while seamlessly transitioning into the leftover details that end up taking a fraction of the time since the characteristics of it have already been explained is impressive. the point the main villain want to kill ryan reynold but instead being replace by brad pitt since ryan had stomach problem... the story point already point out from beginning that brad pitt character notice he feel abit unlucky....
- The Boss gave info to the Wolf that the Hornet is going to be in the train (the file inside the Wolf's coat is filled with photos of the Hornet)
- The Hornet will take care of the Son, The Wolf will take care of the Hornet.
I loved Bullet Train! One of my favorite action movies of all time!
that was possibly the smoothest sponsor segment i've ever seen.
the soundtrack of this movie doesn't get enough credit man it's so good
I really enjoyed this movie. It was fun, something I haven't had watching a movie within the past 5 years
This movie was incredible and beautiful. I loved the story, humor, and aesthetic so much.
That surf shark promo was stellar
Saw this with mom and dad & they generally don't enjoy action movies unless its a actor they recognise from their heyday but they really enjoyed it so if a movie can entertain someone who doesn't normally enjoy action movies then it's doing it job as movie.
as always, filmento "ad break" are super natural and does not feels like an ad at all.
love it
One of those movies I'll gladly watch again once in a while..what an awesome movie.
This movie! It's such a trainwreck in a good way that I just can't stop thinking about it. I love how off the rails everything is in it!
I've been hoping someone would cover this. Brilliant movie.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has two movies that had trains. Avengers: Age of Ultron and Bullet Train.
Damn, this was the best possible way to advertise a VPN!
