Like a kid in a candy store 😉👍
2:48 the guy in the background trying to get out of the frame as quickly as possible, that's me when I go in the kitchen and my parents have guests over
Do your parents entertain guests in the kitchen?
I've always heard rotary heads talk about peripheral and bridge porting but I've never actually seen it being done. Thanks for taking us along for the porting and assembly process! That 13B is gonna make some decent power when it's back in the bay. Nice!
And sound amazing! Bridge Porting makes a very unique sound, compared to just porting the main port (extended port).
if u wanna see a ridiculous peripheral port Mazzei Formula!!
A couple times you mention Gasses flowing ‘out’ the bridge port. This may confuse those with little rotary knowledge. The top port (Bridgeport) is the inlet port, while the exhaust port is located in the rotor housing. Other than that nice vid dude. 👍
I really love how involved mikey's father has been in this build.
nick_bag - He headed back to Ohio this week. Miss him already!
Mickey Andrade just going to have to bring him back soon!
Like a more patient version of my father. He's been trying to help me on my 300ZX build but he doesn't have much patience and sometimes gets a little too excited on some things, but it's nice having something to do with him at times.
The excitement lately on Mickey’s face is literally priceless. Can’t wait to see your much deserved rotary build. Such good content.
HealthyJoeful - Yea man. This is why I wanted to do this project. I’m so intrigued. Thanks for the support!
Did anyone notice that guy in the background @ 2:52😂
Super awesome Mickey!! No need to explain yourself, you rock, And I for one am just really appreciative of you taking us along on the journey, to actually see how it’ s been done! Content has been great, can’ t wait for the assembly.
I watched a few videos of rotary rebuilds and porting and seeing you go through it and your excitement is so awesome! Happy for you Mickey!!
Awesome video guys 🚗💨🔥
Been following this build since the beginning. So stoked for you bro.
Loving the detailed content. This is really awesome to see!
I really enjoyed this. It answers many questions I've had on these engine's. Thanks for all the great content👍👍
Dude im so freaking excited for ya man! I cant wait till its fully built!!!
Thanks for bringing us along mick.. i really wanted to see the porting process.. salute bro
Having someone do it for you is by far the safest way to go your first time. I'm currently using my warranty I had on my engine to get it ported without the cost of rebuilding it.
Amazing amazing video never seen that done before glad you took us for the ride💯💯
This engine looks like it is going to give TJ's the Chop with ease. Mickey I am very impressed I was going to get the MK1 Rx7 after driving my mates it was so impressive on the track. After doing a couple of good lap's in a MK2 Ford Escort RS 2000 I knocked 1.5 seconds of my previous fastest lap.The problem was finding one that hadn't been crashed or abused, almost impossible the only ones I could find I couldn't afford.
Good work guys!! 🙌🙌
Never seen you smile so much. Kid in a candy store, huh?
Raw and clean content, very good not commercial. 👍
Thanks for this!!! Ive never owned a rotary but want to own a rotary vehicle someday.
Ive built a few engines myself...4 bangers and a few ls engines ect... But rotarys are a ballgame ive never played with. As always love the content yall are great! Looking forward to more fd footage!
Looks good! 👌 Keep it up
As always. great content mickey
Noice!! I don't know much about rotary engines so I appreciate the video!
I can really see that this was something very special in your life and I’d love to say... I saw that on video! 👌🏽👌🏽 Great content man! I think a lot of us would appreciate if you take us on step by step on how you build this engine.. Like this video for example.. Thanks dude!!!
This is the most exciting part. Engine building!
Very informative video, keep it up 😎👌🏼
Wow. Learned something new for sure. Nice!
I smiled hard when I got the notification for this video 😊
This is one of the most satisfying things I've ever watched.
Love the vids
Sick video
nothing like that rotary life bridgeported sounds soo frekin nice, thanx mick and ricky for the rx7 content
ABOUT TO MAKE SOME POWAAAA 😎👍🏻
This is art
Good stuff 💪
Woah, what a trip watching this. The first rebuild on my FD was at that shop. Actually by Nick at Rotary Reliability Racing (RRR) - Maybe they share the space? Then, on my second rebuild John (doing the porting in this video) and Kyle Mohan rebuilt it at Mazdatrix way back when they worked there. Mohan was building one of his first drift cars at Mazdatrix when they did the rebuild for me I think it was an RX8.
Awesome bro I learned something new today wish I could join y'all lol
That will make great gains where it counts, I'm from down under and still have alot to learn about Rotories , thank you for the vid mate :-)
Another great video! As for buying parts on throttle, I have to stop for a short period until I get my new car. The vq35hr was fun but I've been dying to get into a 135i for some time now (I have my reasons lol). And since you guys rep Dinan, I'll be sure to take advantage of that VIP slot with that build lol
Mickey The Man! Make that FD Badass but be careful out there! Throtl Gang!
The weed plant in the background was beautiful!
Damn that wrx is sick! That fd is even better tho 😜
I follow this channel strictly for Micky's RX7 rebuild! Glad it's coming along smoothly. Are we gonna see the paint job progress soon?
Mr_Smiles_510 - Next video ma dude.
I have never seen that done! Make sure to tell them thanks for show us some of his tricks
Can't wait to see how the FD is going to look
Nice Bridgeport 😎🔥💯👌
Boooooom, mind blown!!
Nice work . So delicated... 👊👊👊🇧🇷
Can't wait to hear the braps!
Marauder714 It looks like he is only bridge porting the secondary ports (he said they were doing two ports) so not touching the primary ports. His car probably won’t have much brap brap (at idol anyway) will sound like Rickey’s car and not like TJs
Jono 01 it will brap just not as loud and will probably sound different
Just followed on ig! And read a good amount about porting. (Mind Blown)
CWB squad 🤙🏽😃
that Bridge port life!!
Yay engine stuff
Bridgeport nice. It's gunna sound sick!
Never clicked on a video so fast. I feel Iike watching your vlogs is a tv show. Lol 😂
Angel Bruno lol same here bro 😂
Another bitchenly detailed video , thank you so very much , keep them coming !
Nice!!
Up until this point I had never even knew that there was such a thing as a rotary engine lol so I would probably do the same thing and let a professional do it too but I'm fascinated with this so Ty Mickey for showing it being done
FD content😻😻,Hello Mickey,Rickie,Big Jeff🙏
Android Gamer hi!
Dude you look like youre about to burst with excitement.this is the shit ive been waiting for
Gav Nott - I was brother! I am so pumped.
Pretty interesting
Hey everyone just wanted to say to everyone going fast is fun but your human and can mess up, I hit a wet spot a 60mph today ended up going off the side of the road, hitting a tree and totaling my 2017 86, the car is literally destroyed and idk how I got out of that car. I'm honestly lucky to be alive rn. Just hope this will make some people just think twice about doing something to stupid. Cause were not perfect. Be safe everyone
Should have went faster and drift around the wet spot.
Shouldn’t have got a fuckboi car
Glad your taking it serious, literally just trying to make sure everyone is safe and dont get hurt, if you saw how my car looks after the fact you guys would understand
looks like you can’t stop cheesin man!
Jerry Sokolski - This process is what it’s all about for me.
Not sure if you realized or not, the ports that he is cutting into the irons for the bridge port, aren't exhaust ports. Those are the intake ports. Your exhaust ports are in the rotor housings. Great channel, keep up the awesome content.
Just clicked know its going to be good
Stoked to see and hear this thing rip. Btw it sounds like youre heavily implying that those were exhaust ports,. The side ports are the intake, the peripheral ports in the housing are the exhaust ports. Did john open those up to the sleeves as well or are you leaving the exhaust port stock?
John is a legend... "John legend" 🤔
Mickey the smile on your face in the vid is fing priceless bro hahhhah
Dan Cohen - Thanks Dan. That is why I chose this project. I’m like a giddy school girl. Thanks for all your support!!
@@mickeyandrade3435 anytime brotha
I’m hearing the engine on my head right now, it’s gone to sound sick
Mikey making those rotories full mikeyspec
11:30 Air goes in through these ports!
Maykol Ramos - Correct. I mis spoke.
@@mickeyandrade3435 you said the same thing at 4:20 about air flowing out and more power from exhaust flow.
Josh Crutchley - Yes, as I admitted, I made a mistake. I challenge you to make videos and not make unintentional errors.👍🏼
Noice!!!!!
our boi rickie is there too
Mickey i really hope you have kept the RX-7 that candy red that looked SWEET
Honestly same but I have some weird hunch that it's gonna be a deep green
Love ya Micky
Jerry Houston - Thank you!
Sorry I don’t really know much about rotaries but what does porting the holes do?
How much of an improvement is expected from porting your engine? I'm just curious and this looks super intensive and cool
Tight work we have a guy over here in central Florida called Kilo and he is sick with the 7s as well. Just wondering are you keeping it fuel injected or carbing it out?
Hector Santiago - FI
You should get a veilside fd kit 👀👀
I got a 94 RX-7 port and polished. It’s pearl white I think you would like it.
I want a four rotor so bad in an rx3 That's my dream car an another Subaru I have an outback legacy but want a wrx so bad thanks for the great content rotorys are awesome.
How come bridge port compared to just opening it into one big chamber?
Nice
I was watching a 3 rotor 13B build on the RX7 specialty channel claimimg 700HP. What is the difference in the build there and what you are having done? Would the cost be much different?.......200 HP would be a big boost
Has he got any data on that porting method with the bridge?
Aw yisss Mickey spec
emericaman16
Fyeahspec > mickeyspec
Cool that's a 13b bridge port, what's a 13b peripheral port?
glad you went full bridge instead of half. quick reminder though bridges dont like to cruise off gas in gear haha.
Niall Corcoran pretty sure he’s only porting the secondary’s, he mentioned he was only doing two. So will idol like Rickey’s car
how did you port the center irons ???
I forgot that the Subi was a giveaway car, I am going to miss it.
I just notice Mickey is the one who comes out in west coast custom working at HRE. He had no beard then.
Jessie Rivera - Correct.
Mickey what’s REW stand for? Maybe a stupid question but why leave the bridge? Why not just open the entire port up?
Nice Micky! I see your using secondhand housings, what do those guy from DNA say about the condition of them and what sort of life can you expect?
Josh Craig - They have been measured and lapped. The housings were new prior to the rebuild. We’re good. 👍🏼
For some reason you Americans love to go large on your turbo Bridgeport’s, secondary Bridgeporting or a Lot smaller bridge retain drivability, make way over 500 and you still get the lumpy idle
oh my, what is that wheels hanging behind micky?
You guys should invest into some better microphones that clip on your shirt or a boom mic
Bridge porting is great for the track but I really wouldn't do it in a daily driver. It's harder on the engine as there is less vacuum, and is good for high rpms. Awesome build though.
Michael Thompson - proper ECU and tuning will make this setup perfectly fine for street driving.
The edge of the housing "needs to be brapped" proper terminology haha jk
