I’ve owned 2 of them and really like them. Weird cars but not expensive to fix. They are a Chevy citation front end in the back and a Chevy Chevette front end.
I got my ‘84 Fiero when it was 4 years old and I was 17 years old. I used to look at it and wonder if someday people would be restoring them. I guess I now have my answer! Looking at this car now “showing it’s age” at 40 years old really makes me feel old! It should be a fun car to play around with!
I believe there is that button, like a old door lock that is right by the ignition switch, that you push in to get the ignition to go all of the way back. I had one of these back in the mid 90s, loved the little car. Traveled from Oklahoma to California and Arizona a couple of times.
Taking a car like the Fiero on a road trip like this sounds amazing! I live in Florida and about 3 times a year a drive my sister to San Diego from Pensacola, I love the drive but I’d like to tackle it as a solo drive.
.I bought a1984 video brand new in 84. At 25000 miles the engine was replaced due to porosity in the block casting which allowed coolant to enter the combustion chamber. At 50000 miles it was replaced again for the same reason.
That bracket on the dash is for a couple of gauges-I think it’s volts and oil pressure. You can look it up. Also, Pennock’s Fiero Parts has seat covers.
Calico Jack's was located at 3501 SW 2nd Ave Gainesville, Fl 32607 According to Yelp it's temporarily closed but Yelpers report this location has closed. Looks like they had a location in Tallahassee but it's closed.
I watched another youtuber called "Ronald Finger" or something, He spent 5 years restoring his 86' Fiero. He has a lot of useful information about where he got parts and stuff for his restore.
On mine those back triangle windows would open and when the AC was broke they were life savers lol…I was crying when the pressure washer was hitting them.

Hey CT, nice! Try Magic Eraser on exterior paint and interior also. Option would be perhaps distilled water and very small amount of bleach to clean interior plastic.
I’ve had several GM stick shifts and I think you may need to have the trans in reverse with the brake depressed to turn the key to lock. I could be wrong but there will be some combo needed.
There’s a guy who makes reproduction seat covers and sales the foam. I think Ronald Finger has a link and used him when he restored his fiero. He did a good video series on a 2m4.

If you would wash your car in the driveway here in Germany like this, Police will show up because strictly "verboten". Nobody seems to care in the USA, I see it all the time 😁
@@CTmoog as far as i know, carwashing in Germany is mostly prohibited. You can wash your car just in the defined spots, like car wash stations (by hand or with a pressure washer, with separated soap head), or gas stations where is a possibility of using a car wash machine.
