I've been riding bikes for 50 years and for the last 5 also a Forza 300, best buy I ever made. I know a few people in their 70s who have the Forza 125, all think it is a brilliant scooter that helps keep them on two wheels. Well done Honda.
I've owned two of these the last one did 15k miles in a year of ownership I used it on motorways, A roads, duel carriageways everything, it was ridden infinitely more than my CBR600F, and CRF250L. Traded it for a NC750, I miss it so much it's imperative I get another. Great review thanks for the reminder of what I'm missing.
I've just got this after my 5 year old PCX was unfortunately destroyed while awaiting MOT, I loved my old PCX but this is a cut above, it's absolutely beautiful to ride in every way, cannot wait to take it up north in the summer for a Highland jaunt
I’ve ridden motorcycles since 1967 and got a Vespa scooter as a third bike a few years ago. I love the light weight and carrying capacity. It has been a great commuter bike and grocery getter. Great fun and I find that I ride it more than I expected. Thanks Flyer.
I've got the predecessor to the PCX, the Pantheon, and it just keeps going and going. It's 15 years old and due an MOT in the next week or so, I have no doubts about whether it will pass. In nearly four years of owning it it has needed a starter motor and that's all. I call it my Sherpa because of the amount of stuff I can get under the seat and in the top box.
That’s dope. Many of these anti-scooter motorcycle elitists out there probably have significantly less actual saddle time than you. That’s what it’s all about.
I’m a real scooter convert; recently bought my 1st one; a BMW C400GT. In 20-odd years of riding & it’s a revelation. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is BMW’s servicing costs 🤦🏻♂️
I started off with scooters back in the sixties, there wasn’t any weather protection on them then. This is simply great value though, similar money to an electric push bike but nearly 5x as fast and all that storage space. Great reviews Andy.
Great review and this bike is very well priced. A top of the range Raleigh e-bike will cost you £2800, so this machine offers superb value! I run a Honda Forza 350 which I'm very pleased with but the PCX is ideal for shorter runs and commuting .. you can see why Honda sell so many of them!
Good to see you covering a few small capacity scooters. I'm a big fan, having ridden my son's Honda Forza 125 and Yamaha Nmax. I've also owned a couple of modern Vespa Scooters (200 and 300cc) and absolutely loved them. They make perfect sense for a lot of transport requirements and are immensely fun to ride. Although I'm in a 1200cc Triumph now, I would happily own another scooter. Ever considered reviewing one of the 300cc Vespa models?
I have a GS 1250 & a Piaggio BV 350 scooter. The BV is much more adept and easier to handle in urban settings. 50 miles and your butt is on fire though.
Having brought a second-hand PCX myself to get back into riding bikes again I must say I totally agree with you. Eventually traded mine in for a bigger new bike and now I wish I had kept it as a town bike, fun brilliant little performer in the town traffic. P.S My PCX came with a Honda larger front screen that the previous owner had brought so it was better in the rain.
Good review, i've got a Honda Forza 125 for commuting on and its brill, 130 mpg, and i can get my full face helmet under the seat, and it also has a adjustable screen, but costs more than the pcx.
I started riding on a PCX had it for 3years commuting to work and back ,what an awesome bike like you said cheap to run cheap tax and easy to work on.A bigger after market screen helped alot in the bad weather it was fun to ride and never let me down. After gaining riding experience i moved on to the Faorza 125 its a bit bigger in size but you can't through it about like a PCX. Cheers ride safe.
Thanks for this excellent review. I appreciate your fearless enthusiasm. Too many reviewers feel compelled to not like anything and their reviews are fault-finding exercises, so nothing sounds very good. The "cons" you noted -- limited storage and wind protection -- are important for a prospective buyer to know about. But you did not allow them to stop you from loving an excellent bike.
Nice review. I loved my SH125 and SH300 scooters I owned...really got me back into biking on a regular basis whereas my VFR often sat in the garage. Now have a Forza 750 in my collection. Quite a lot heavier and faster but still very easy to just get on and ride.
Each to their own with scooters, had a 100cc Peugeot years back, so much fun on the lanes of Devon, even rode it up the M5 when I moved to Bristol with all my possessions strapped to the back! Seriously thinking of a maxi scoot for when the office reopens 👍🏻
Great review again thank you, I will be placing an order for one late December for 1st March registrations, it was a toss up between the Nmax and the PCX but the extra storage and better dash and style does it for me! Thanks again for all your reviews.
Thanks for another fun video. I wish I'd had one of these when I was still commuting in Washington, DC. Many places in the DC area, one can park a scooter in a bicycle parking area, making it even better. (Parking in DC is horribly expensive.) Thanks again.
You can quite easily fit a topbox in which to secure your helmet enabling the storage under the seat to accommodate jacket and pants, first aid kit and document wallet.
@@TheMissendenFlyer I do think that for predominantly city riding they are a great and fun bike to get around on. It handled going up some reasonably steep streets in the hill suburbs, but I also took it down the motorway, went to pull out from behind a HGV to overtake and with the headwind, I was actually slowed down and had to tuck back in. The return trip with the wind behind was 15kmph faster.
I rented a PCX150 [ the new one is a 160+hybrid! woohoo ] recently for 2 weeks. Everything you say is true, the build and ride quality are truly superb. At a bit over six feet tall, I found the seating position a bit cramped. If I owned one I'd need to adjust the reach. The keyless ignition/remote is maybe good in an urban environment, but here on a tropical island a real security issue when you want to take a swim. Thanks Andy, great review etc. I'm currently driving an sh125, and considering the pcx. Apart from a couple of negatives, no doubt a great scooter. Athough I think the chrome handlebars with the exposed wiring, could be tidied up. The Yamaha n max and recently launched Suzuki burgman ex, have a neater set up. If i go for a pcx i'll put a top box on, to accommodate a helmet. 🤔
I was on the verge of buying one earlier this year. However the rear drum brake exposed chrome handlebar, and wiring put me off. Lo and behold, the 2025 version addresses both those issues. With a really nice 5 inch tft screen, Android connectivity and rear disc brake. 😀
The only downer I can see is them modern plastic midi & maxi styled scooters is all the plastic ,when you have to remove it .It’s a right pain .I have a similar one made by Malaguti with a Yamaha mirranelli engine in cost me £ 2,899 •00 about 21 years ago ,Even then it would do 75 mph down a slight incline on clock .with two valve 12•2 hp LC engine .I got it to use as a runabout & motorised shopping trolly ,as it had a massive under seat capacity ( 2 helmets ). Placed an order for mine, should be with me at the end of February according to my local Honda dealer. Those two negatives mentions can be solved by usage of a top box and an extended windscreen which Honda sell or you can buy aftermarket parts. I've seen people mention that placing their helmet upside down sometimes helps with storing their helmet under the seat with some models.
I have a Honda Forza 300cc scooter and I really like it. It weighs a lot more at 400 lbs but it has bigger tires for better grip. The new Forza 350 has the electric windscreen.......Sal : )
Is this a bike that Mrs. Flyer would like over a more traditional motorcycle? Sounds like an addendum video with her input would be a natural in this case. Kill three birds with one stone. Ladies input, shorter folks input and beginner input. :^)
@@TheMissendenFlyer abs on two disc brakes. Two year warranty not sure what Honda is. Nmax great wee bike, as is Honda. Maybe worth doing comparison of the two. Regards Jim
Thanks for reviewing the PCX, I'm trying to choose between this and the NMAX. I prefer the look of the NMAX, the dash has far more information on it's less trendy but more readable LCD and the styling looks more modern. The NMAX also seems to be roomier for tall guys like me. The fact that Honda, unlike Yamaha, have chosen to fit a drum on the rear, so no rear ABS or linked braking at all, is disappointing, especially when in Thailand they choose to fit the bike with a disc. All that said I see quite a few reports of early engine wear (oil consumption) on the NMAX which may well be a deal breaker. In short the Honda engine in the NMAX chassis would be perfect! Thanks again.
Thanks. Yes and since you would recommend it to the House perhaps you could mention the non availability of group insurance for a sole rider of a bike collection and all their advantages.
Excellent review 👏. I have a honda forza 300 2019 year now. I'm thinking of something a bit lighter maybe forza 125cc.. and im only doing 10 miles a day ? Any thoughts 😕 I'd quite like a smaller bike as the forza 300 is pretty big. I' want something smaller
The storage space under the seat is not supposed to accommodate an action camera attached to a full-face helmet. One cannot complain about a feature that never was supposed to exist and that was never advertised. Regarding the front screen, there are two extra items that are recommended to acquire together with this scooter - a frontal full screen and a rear case. In my case, I also bought the warranty extension for an extra two year period. The main problem with two-wheel vehicles is the lack of technical competence of many local workshops, sometimes making your own safety a concern. I had a serious accident with my previous PCX-125 (in 2017) because of a problem I reported since day one and never solved - the front wheel wobbled if you touch the break, even slightly, when curving. In my view, there was an alignment problem between the front and rear wheel. The bike was more than once in an official Honda workshop and the problem was never solved. It was my first real accident in 40 years two-wheel driving. Regretful and avoidable.
Lucky old me! 60 years on two wheels only came to the pcx 2017 after hip replacement. Now have 2019 model. Absolute new lease of life, my wealthy mate swapped his street triple for a 125 forza and we are lucky enough to live at the southern end of the Derbyshire Dale's so 100 mile days out on the lovely A and B roads are the norm, priceless. My only gripe is with Honda uk is, my 2017 bike had notchy headstock bearings at 1 Yr old, done under warranty. Strangely my 2019 has the same problem on the two year service (both services done late due to covid delays) claim rejected, not happy
@@mc127 I was aware of the stand thing Mike, always given a good clean and lube. I had plans to get a new pcx next spring but don't think they deserve my cash!
Woohoo, I’m the very first to comment. If you jump to conclusions, you could think I really want this bike. Or I have nothing else to do. But actually, your videos are so good, I even watch the review of bikes I don’t need.
I would get one of these of an nmax to bob around on but I will always be a fair weather rider,so it would be parked up for 3 months over winter. On a motorcycle I could bump start it when I come to ride it...but with these stop start keyless auto bikes I dont think it would be that simple. And I couldn't be assed taking it apart just to get to the battery.
Looks like an excellent little bike, front end looks like the head of one of those creatures from the Alien movie franchise. BMW pulled out in front of me when I have my Peugeot elyseo 100cc 2 stroke. The Honda looks like a giant step up in comfort, safety and convenience (no 2 stroke oil can under the seat). Might pick one up for fun and maybe try doordash until it's paid for itself.
As a chunky chap of 6ft and 110Kg the PCX is a little on the small side for me having sat on my friends. Would be great to see you review it's bigger brother, the Forza 125 to see how they compare though.
My son has a 2020 Forza 125 and (as a rider of large capacity bikes) I was really impressed with it. As you say it's a physically bigger machine than the PCX and has both more power and higher spec all round. Even though it's only a 125, you could travel some real distances on it in comfort.
I thought about getting a scooter all my life. After watching your review, I ordered a red Honda PCX 125 just like the one you have. Can't wait for it, it should be delivered in July 2022. If I may ask, could you suggest a good quality full face helmet?
Great review 👍 I couldn't agree with you more about the PCX. Probably one of the best daily commuters around. Plus your only 2 negatives can be easily resolved... get a top case for your helmet & add a taller windscreen. Easy Peasy. No more negatives. 😂 I rode a PCX a lot when I lived in Asia. Now that I'm back in the States, I really miss it... So I decided to buy one! They aren't as plentiful here as they are in Asia & Europe tho. Hard to find a dealer that actually has one in the showroom. 🤔 I even get the feeling they may discontinue the PCX in the US. 😱 They didn't even announce a 2024 model here yet! Uh oh. So I am gonna try & nab a 2023 or 2022 model as quickly as I can find one. I prefer the white color PCX so hopefully the 2022. 🤞
SuperCub 125 does not work, good bike but physically too cramped for a rider of over 5 feet 3 inches, medium/large stature riders you will not be comfortable on a SuperCub, the Forza is the premium scooter, physically larger than a PCX, but the enhanced purchase price of Forza vs PCX is a matter for your consideration
Yes, the 21 Forza is very nice. Although 235 kilos the weight is very low down, the 21 NC750 engine and gearing is improved and the bike has better cycle parts than the NC750X. Only grumbles are no cruise or adjustable screen.
Hi im wondering which is the better bike for top speed the pcx125 or the cb125f ? which is the faster bike ? Love watching your reviews ,you cover everything , thank you
Put a high givi screen on it and a top box (givi is much cheaper than the Honda box), I think you'd have a pretty capable mid-range tourer. You're not going to be winning any races on this, but I've had two since they were released around 2011.
Hopefully better than the previous version. Mine required full engine rebuild at 4K miles, headstock bearings at every service (1yr, 2yr and 3yr) and new fuel pump at 10500miles, plus tyres etc. Cost £2800 new, £4000+ in servicing and rear costs, Honda covered some under warranty, still cost me £1800. Would I buy another? No.
It's for compulsory with Europe's A1 motorcycle licence. Which meant that you could only drive motorcycles (or scooters) with 125cc or less engines. Technically Asia also once had the PCX 125 with their first generation.
Gday mate as you probably well know these are made in thailand ,also one of the most popular scooters there as well, my brother in law has the 150 and he is lets say a big boy . My soft spot goes to the old forza 300 not the new one which they shaved a load of bulk off of i liked the fat shape of the old one . They are a lovely scooter and for bangkok traffic ideal commuter in the city as you say light as but there are certain roads they cannot go on because of the speed they can atain anyway good review on a nifty little scoot .

When are you going to do a vid on the Forza 350/750 ? I own the 350 and I love it. Would look forward to your ride/comments on them 👍
Will see what I can do!
Great review!!!
Which is why many users fit a taller screen. Great bikes.
Indicator lights on the dash are good indeed. Much harder to forget they’ve been left on!
Exactly!
I have a Honda Forza 300cc scooter and I really like it. It weighs a lot more at 400 lbs but it has bigger tires for better grip. The new Forza 350 has the electric windscreen.......Sal : )
I’ve got a brand new 23 plate pcx which now has enough room for a full face helmet.
Brilliant, what a great piece of kit cheers Andy 🛵👍
Thanks for watching Terry!
Is this a bike that Mrs. Flyer would like over a more traditional motorcycle? Sounds like an addendum video with her input would be a natural in this case. Kill three birds with one stone. Ladies input, shorter folks input and beginner input. :^)
Usual thorough review.
I would love to ride a scooter, never had the opportunity, Thanks for showing. 👍
I like scooters, have had a couple through the years. I just don't have room for yet another 2-wheeler right now.
Tell me about it Bill!
I’ve never heard of a PCX, will have to look them up.
I was very torn between this and 2021 nmax .
Did go for nmax and love it very similar in specs, love to scoot a boot the place.👍👍👍
Out of interest why did you go for the nmax?
Not sure I follow Bob??
Looks like the spiritual successor to my old gilera runner 125. Sheer fun. :)
Excellent review 👏.
I have a honda forza 300 2019 year now.
I'm thinking of something a bit lighter maybe forza 125cc.. and im only doing 10 miles a day ?
Any thoughts 😕
I'd quite like a smaller bike as the forza 300 is pretty big. I' want something smaller
The latest PCX 125 would be perfect!
Have you ridden the Honda Forza 300/350 - would be interested in your thoughts
Not yet no but it's on the list!
A quick google search shows that larger aftermarket windshields are availlable.
Cool!
Sorry to hear that…
Lucky old me!
Oh dear, that's a poor show....sorry to hear that...
I have also found Honda UK and Honda Europe to be poor, watch out for centre stands on PCX and Forza's. £150+ every 2 years to replace.
@@mc127 I was aware of the stand thing Mike, always given a good clean and lube. I had plans to get a new pcx next spring but don't think they deserve my cash!
Great Video! Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!
Woohoo, I’m the very first to comment. If you jump to conclusions, you could think I really want this bike. Or I have nothing else to do. But actually, your videos are so good, I even watch the review of bikes I don’t need.
Good o hear! Thanks....
I wish we had the red in Australia. I’m a sucker for red.
As a chunky chap of 6ft and 110Kg the PCX is a little on the small side for me having sat on my friends. Would be great to see you review it's bigger brother, the Forza 125 to see how they compare though.
Stay tuned!
My son has a 2020 Forza 125 and (as a rider of large capacity bikes) I was really impressed with it. As you say it's a physically bigger machine than the PCX and has both more power and higher spec all round. Even though it's only a 125, you could travel some real distances on it in comfort.
Can't wait to get mine next month, I put a deposit on the PCX 150.
Congratulations!
I thought about getting a scooter all my life. After watching your review, I ordered a red Honda PCX 125 just like the one you have. Can't wait for it, it should be delivered in July 2022. If I may ask, could you suggest a good quality full face helmet?
I’m a fan of the HJC RPhA 11
Hello great video, what worries me is a scooter in the wet??? what would you say?
No issue if ridden sensibly…
Hi Andy, did you get a chance,to put Mrs F on the back, and if so how was it? BTW loving your work 👍
Great review 👍 I couldn't agree with you more about the PCX. 🤞
Great practical machines aren’t they….
Would love to see you review a 125 Super Cub, but somehow I don't think that would ever happen.
Why not??
SuperCub 125 does not work, good bike but physically too cramped for a rider of over 5 feet 3 inches, medium/large stature riders you will not be comfortable on a SuperCub, the Forza is the premium scooter, physically larger than a PCX, but the enhanced purchase price of Forza vs PCX is a matter for your consideration
Cons: It's a scooter.
Pros: Will keep you lady parts well ventilated in summer.
You give bikers a bad name.
@@iainamurray Have a nice day.
I have the 125cc pcx in srilanka and it's such a great bike, I have raced with 150cc clutch bikes like the Yamaha fz and have beat it without a sweat
Lol
Finally a scooter , I only wished it was the Forza one.
Yes, the 21 Forza is very nice. Although 235 kilos the weight is very low down, the 21 NC750 engine and gearing is improved and the bike has better cycle parts than the NC750X. Only grumbles are no cruise or adjustable screen.
Im towing with the idea of getting a 125 manual bike for my A1 test coming up. But I can only afford pcx or a manual.
lack of space for the big helmet = probably a sneaky tactic to get you to buy a top box.
Hi im wondering which is the better bike for top speed the pcx125 or the cb125f ?
which is the faster bike ?
Love watching your reviews ,you cover everything , thank you
Marginal but cb125f I would imagine
@@TheMissendenFlyer Thank you again
Put a high givi screen on it and a top box (givi is much cheaper than the Honda box), I think you'd have a pretty capable mid-range tourer. You're not going to be winning any races on this, but I've had two since they were released around 2011.
Good aren't they!
What is the max speed it can do?
What is the max speed it can do ?
Hopefully better than the previous version. Mine required full engine rebuild at 4K miles, headstock bearings at every service (1yr, 2yr and 3yr) and new fuel pump at 10500miles, plus tyres etc. Cost £2800 new, £4000+ in servicing and rear costs, Honda covered some under warranty, still cost me £1800. Would I buy another? No.
Oh dear! Sorry to hear that - most unusual for a Honda!
I've never thought PCX has 125L engine option in Europe, we got 160L option only in asia (with the same price tag conversion).
It's for compulsory with Europe's A1 motorcycle licence. Which meant that you could only drive motorcycles (or scooters) with 125cc or less engines. Technically Asia also once had the PCX 125 with their first generation.
I just bought one and I luv her… great for
tutaling around town… as well no thinks a scooter 🤣🎉
Good aren’t they…
The do a much bigger windscreen as an optional extra.
Cheers Crispernator!
It's the flyer's jacket that catches my eye. How cool is that, and does anyone know what it is?
I have a xl helmet no camera on it, and it fits under the seat no problem.
Nice one!
i sold my f800gs and bought the pcx125 =D
