Thanks for a informative and well produced video, it was nice to see an install on a deep Vee aluminum, I have a 16ft Lund so this was VERY helpful. Also nice to see a follow Mainer on here
Polarkraft makes one hell of a boat. I'm currently getting my 08 tx1775 pb to sell and its still great.
*I bought this model for my 14 ft Jon boat. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend love it!!! It pushes my boat with ease ( 2 men 220 each). I would highly recommend this to anyone.*
Good advice ! Thanks
Nice job with the installation 👍
Thank you for the informative video about the Terrova! Can you please tell me how much the 55lb thrust Terrova weighs? Thanks, Tony
just ordered that motor . I have same type boat so helpfull..salesman didn t tell me bout the the disk ya have to mount he said gps built into it only wiring is the plug...thanks for video
I’m going to get a Terrova today. From what I understand, the puck is used for the jog feature. The TM anchor feature will work without it... I think...
Why you put the compass near by the terrova?
Very nice video.
I just bought same trolling motor this spring. My bow is flush so I got the minnkota removable plate. I upgraded from my previous trolling motor and had to get that 60 amp breaker which is very important. I overpaid for minn kota brand but you can get others for less. I have two batteries and cant see going far with one. Love the trolling motor.
Hey good job! Just an FYI Ram mounts make a very sturdy stabilizer bracket for the trolling motor arm. I think it's pretty cheap too. Tight lines!
Where did your light go for upfront. Im trying to mount mine but cover the light pole
My light mount is that black thing on the upper deck. Clears it fine
Ram mount to stabilize it.
I left this video playing in hopes you get some kinda ad revenue. I feel sorry for you having snow in April ;(
Nice👍
Any update on how long the battery will last? Especially with spot lock
I haven’t had it die on me yet. But if you use it a ton just put 2 batteries in there
Have a 17’ deep v tracker trying to see if the 12v is strong enough for my boat trying to avoid the whole 24v system if possible much cheaper
@@Ryan-rx8ie works well for me. I don’t generally use it when it’s windy and whitecaps but have used it in current and works well
What do you have for a boat?
It will run all day on a single 120amp hour battery
Mini Kota makes a stabilizer arm cut to fit
Amazing job on the installation and great video! Do you find the 55lbs strong enough? I'm debating between the 55 and 80 for my 16.5' aluminum fishing boat (w/ 50HP Merc 4T).
Also, did you end up building a stabilizer arm for it? If you did, can you send me photos of how you did it?
Thank you!
If you’re going to use it a lot get the bigger one. This ones fine for me but I don’t use it a ton.
Does the link feature worthless?
Jim J I’m not sure if your trying to insult me or ask if the Ipilot link feature is worthless? Lol
Maine Trout Whisperer I am just simply want to know why not getting the link feature. I am buying a new boat and still debating between the terrora link or regular iploit . Sorry if you felt it wrong
Jim J got you now sorry. Yeah the link was more money and I was already coughing up a good chunk. I mostly wanted the anchor feature. I don’t troll with it so didn’t feel I needed it. Would rather spend the money on something else.
@@mainetroutwhisperer how us the anchor feature works on your boat, can it replace powerpole?
Jim J absolutely. Works flawlessly
Looks like Upstate NY. Weather is bipolar as Fuck.
This snow is fucking killing me
You have a 60 amp fuse on a 40 amp plug it will never blow your wires will burn first because that is your weakest point in the system. Your wire is too small as well you need a minimum of 8 gauge to run 40 amp power properly. I'm sure you're going to say I haven't have a problem but one day you will
Scott S thanks for pointing that out. I was just using the existing wiring in the boat. What do you recommend I do?
@@mainetroutwhisperer if it was my motor I'd run the correct wire first. Some 8 gauge copper silicone type marine wire and copper crimps and then heat shrink over between the crimp and wire or find some connectors that have heat shrink on them. Just don't want to see that nice boat go up in flames or have a problem while you're on the water cause it could damage your battery as well. But your installation is awesome well done. I'd also put a RAM mount on to stop your motor shaft from bouncing while travelling
Scott S thanks. That’s gonna be a bit of a job 😪
@@mainetroutwhisperer hardest part will be running your wires. But if you tape them really good and pull easy should be simple
Scott S is there any way to tell what gauge wire I have in the boat?
