@Cole Marmins walnuts, flax, and hemp all have high omega 3. if you don't eat a lot of fat besides from these sources, your ratio of 3's to 6's is great. i personally focus on getting a lot of omega 3's everyday.
I evolved too. We all can. I am 45 and switched to a vegan diet nine months ago. Wish I did it earlier. You’re doing awesome with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and good lifestyle habits. I think you are a great positive role model for others.
The thing with animal products fueling/enhancing cancer cell growth is so true .... we learned it studying biology and yet nobody pointed out veganism. Edit: We also talked about growth hormones present in animal's milk (makes sense, right?) and I asked if it's even healthy then for ADULTS to still consume those hormones on a daily base. I got no answer (but most of us will know it using our brains).
it's insane that these things are so known but it's rarely encouraged to change our diets. everyone hates cancer and wants a cure but more than half the power is in our hands.
Thanks for sharing! I too found this path after watching documentaries... selfishly for me it was for health reasons. Since then, watching Earthlings for example was TOUGH!!! I could barely get through it! I’ve seen a lot in my life... travelled the world, ex-military... and I really struggled to watch it! What “we’re” doing to this planet and animals is crazy, absolutely bonkers! Thanks for spreading the message. Peace ✌️
Thanks for sharing this Chris.. it's definitely something I would recommend everyone to watch although it's really hard.. I'm definitely mad that at the time when I watched it didn't change my mind - I feel messed up for it but I'm glad I got here eventually. Gotta catch up on your videos I've been slacking!
HellahGood I was pretty similar mate, it’s just how we... and society has been conditioned! I’m actually a little sad to say that I gave up the running everyday a month or so ago!!!! I did around 6 months in total and as much as I loved it (and I really did love it), I got far too skinny and decided I wanted to bulk up a bit. So I’m taking a bit of a break from it and focusing on building some muscle for the first time in my life. I really miss it though, and I’m looking forward to getting back to it after this bulking stage.
i highly recommend taking B12 supplements to PREVENT a deficiency. it’s something you do not want to face due to its symptoms and the risk of permanent damage to your body, especially the nervous system.
Much love to you brotha, all those documentaries really helped me go fully plant-based, there are so many lies out there so certain people’s and entities can keep on profiting. Big ups to you for sharing your journey and telling your own story! You’re an inspiration!
I’m currently watching every single video that you’ve posted and I wanted to say that it’s cool that you’re vegan and an athlete. Most athletes eat horrible food-fast food- but here you are taking care of your body. Also I wanted to mention that I’m vegan as well, so thank you for the inspiration and recipes ✊🏽🌱
You should do podcasts. Also another good thing to watch is this video on UA-cam and it’s called 101 reasons to go vegan, and it convinced me to try to go vegan. Do you have any tips for people who are transitioning?
Yes that's awesome I'll have to check it out. I forgot to mention Gary Yourofsky's "best speech you'll ever hear" here on youtube is another great resource. Hopefully I can make another video in the future on tips for the transition but DM me on instagram if you have any specific questions
damn, this video made me and my whole family plant based. hahaha thanks! i've also been running everyday, I'm on week 4 but I've been looking for ways to recover faster, I think this is it.
Great vid, was good to know your story and what made you vegan. You provided a lot of good information here, I hope you inspire many people to change their lifestyle
Hey Hellah! Which documentary has the stuff about the elite athletes who are vegan? I think you said it but I missed it?! You have inspired me, and I am eating more fruits and vegetables and less flesh. Thank you, over the years I went vegetarian sometimes just eating milk and eggs, but no meat. I have yet to be vegan but one of my dad's employees, a newspaper writer, used to order vegan pizza on publishing night (Dad runs a newspaper) with no cheese and I would eat some of that. That was twenty years ago and Jerry is on Facebook and he is still vegan! Wow. Have fun and great blogs!
vegan since 2011. absolutely agree with the faster recovery time after a workout. I would suggest starting with a daily B12 pill sooner rather than later because whilst deficiency can be slow to arrive, it can also take quite a while to get levels back to normal. The only reason carnists don't think about supplementing B12 is because the animal flesh they consume has had B12 injected in to it (along with antibiotics). I'm willing to bet that within the first week or so of becoming vegan you would wake up of a morning and think to yourself, wtf! why have I got so much energy. For anyone not vegan and considering the change - you will become more mentally focussed, you will have more energy, you won't need your morning coffee to wake up, your workout recovery times will be much faster, standard vegan food (none of the speciality processed stuff) is very cheap (you can even grow your own fruit and veg) and importantly - there are a lot of people out there who have been vegan or plant based for many years that are always willing to help and give advice and ideas on nutrition.
Keep being great!! I love it- thank you for speaking out! Keep promoting this and all the love and light. I had to subscribe, because I need more vegan people around me. I know no other vegans!! Thank you for being you :)
as mammals belonging to the primate order, we are natural herbivores and occasional insectivores... so we are largely eating plant food and we can eat insects and shellfish as well... our taste buds are only accustomed to eating plant food and invertebrates... we feel sick at the smell of blood and rotting flesh... whereas natural carnivores and omnivores like wolves, bears, lions, crocodiles eat blood and flesh like ice cream... we even flavor our ice cream and meat with spices and herbs and fruits and nuts just so they can taste like plants... WE ARE NATURALLY plant eaters, we actually forced ourselves to eat meat...
Omg I made some small banana muffins with coconut milk, bannas, raisins, hempseed flaxseed, with baking soda. Added nutmeg cinnamon and Vanilla along with coconut oil.. It was delicious. So I call them my protein pack muffins. Anyway just thought I share easy recipe. I made them in small cupcake pans. Place then in the refrigerator. There are so many things we can make and are very tasty..🤗🦋
I did see ‘FoodSpericy’, and ‘What The Health’, and all convincing, but I struggle to figure out what do I eat! Because the pickings for Vegetarian doesn’t seem to be too appetizing. But that could just be availability, coming to think of it, I live in the British Virgin Islands, but I could see myself being Vegan if I was back home in Trinidad & Tobago.
Yes! Get back to your roots and do it man! Haha. No but really message me on instagram if you ever have questions or want help with vegan ideas to incorporate into your lifestyle currently
Thank you, I have known you recently and you're very inspirational for me! I'm managing to get a journey like yours (or better I hope for it ahah). Greetings from Italy :)

do it! you won't regret it
Best decision I ever made!!!
Cole Marmins seeds like hemp and flax are good sources of omega 3s, if you're worried about it you could always take a suppliment
Please, don´t do it. It´s stupid.
@Cole Marmins walnuts, flax, and hemp all have high omega 3. if you don't eat a lot of fat besides from these sources, your ratio of 3's to 6's is great. i personally focus on getting a lot of omega 3's everyday.

Thanks so much Robert- so awesome to hear that you made the switch.. I felt the same way (my only regret about going vegan). Keep up the good work!

also where do you take your b12 supplement? I’m 15yo and bc i just went vegan i don’t want to enlarged my deficiency 🙄
there are all different ways to supplement - pills, shots, sprays, drops. You can talk to your doctor about it, too!
even meat eaters can’t have b12, maybe a little bit but not enough so all the population are in b12 deficits (except for who is taking supplements)
Exactly!
