This is the best product release video i have seen on you tube, great backing track and the info is delivered perfectly. Inspirational work guy's well done.
I'm getting one the second I see it in stores! One of the best things this company has put out in the last few years. And there isn't much you guys have put out in the last few years I don't already own and love.
The technology in this pedal looks utterly space age.. from being able to replicate the classic 2290 through to beaming new sounds into the pedal, through your pick ups.. I mean, that is crazy!!! Brilliant but crazy. I'd love to meet the person who came up with that idea! Tore is an amazing spokesperson as well. Sincere and obviously loving the products and most importantly, music.
Another cool pedal by Tc Electronic! But please, I'm beggin you, make a Wah Pedal! You know that we all need a nice wah pedal with toneprint function;)
Last Friday I purchased a Flashback triple - it arrived Monday and quickly took pride of place on my pedalboard - till yesterday (Tuesday) when it started to act strangely. The two factory presets I had kept disappeared, as did the setting I had designed. All were replaced by the same long delay which refused to be written over. Initially toneprints would load, but then that option disappeared as well. I've just returned from the store who kindly replaced the faulty item. They informed me that it's not the first tc electronic pedal to come back in recent times. I hope this is not a sign of the standard of the tc electronic products under TC's new ownership!!!
I play a lot of Shadows music and was asked to compare this with my TVS3 and Meazzi Echomatic Well as expected the TC Triple Echo arrived this morning and I immediately set it up and had a play with it. I had the Wonderful Land echo in five minutes by using the SUBDIV control to achieve the fourth head, thanks for the heads up on that Roger. I actually used the SUBDIV for heads 2 & 3, setting 1 &4 separately with head 4 being the loudest as it should be.( at least 40% louder than the first three) This is the classic Echomatic 2 pattern that was used for Peace Pipe, The Savage, Kon Tiki and loads of other titles, with varying amounts of level and feedback that allowed subtle differences for each tune. When I was satisfied, having compared to the real deal from the Meazzi and TVS3, I turned my attention to the Apache (Echomatic 1) echo that has zero feedback. This patch uses only three heads 121ms, 428ms & 603ms and with added feedback from head 3 it's the same pattern for The Frightened City, Man Of Mystery, FBI, Mustang, The Stranger and a handful of others. I set the middle head slightly lower level than the other two and it works for me. One thing I miss on this machine is that there's no editing for modulation, Echo Drive , Wear etc which are available on the Strymon Volante, but the sound is acceptable anyway. The SUBDIV knob is the same as the SPACING on the Volante, which groups the heads at various distances apart, thus affecting the echo patterns that aficionados instantly recognise. By using these controls correctly, you can get as close as it gets to perfection if your hearing is good. My only big disappointment is that there appears to be no storage options for my settings and you have to continually dial in the settings, which is no good for live work so I won't be keeping it.Maybe there's more in the software but I have yet to check that out. All of that said, it does a good job on Shads stuff and I'd be happy to use it if I could store and recall all my patches.
love this guys playing. I like this pedals concept, however I need to be able to set 4-12 separate DLY setting presets for a show, but I'm the frontman/MD so it all has to be preset ahead of time
TC manage to blow my mind everytime they launch a new product.. the music is so relaxing... is it somewhere for download? Would like it to use as background music to soothe my troubles
Has a firmware update or option for global tap tempo been offered yet? I'd love to have the tap control all three delays whether they're currently engaged or not, that way I can bring in different subdivisions during the song in time with my original tap tempo
Dear TC I love your products. But it would be so nice to have a toneprint firmware that I can use for different platforms. For instance; I will buy this triple delay and it'd be really useful to get a reverb toneprint to use with all these delays or for a corona or something. Thanks!
drumfrumjax you can create a lot of really nice faux reverbs with the triple delay. My favorite is taking the Space delay, selecting the dotted eighth + sixtenth note subdivision and then set the time around 9-10 o'clock, set feedback around 2 o'clock and set mix to taste. Really cool ambience from that setting. We also have a bunch of chorus TonePrints for the delay pedals, plus you can isolate the mod block via the editor, so you can easily turn it into a mod effect if you want :)
TC Electronic thanks so much! you guys are awesome. i can't wait to pick one of these triple delays up! i still think it would be a great idea to incorporate an actual reverb toneprint functionality into your flashback delays. it would be so useful to us ambient/atmosphere guitar players out there as to have something at the ready instead of more and more pedals taking up space on our boards. (not that we don't like having lots of pedals XD)I cannot wait to see what you come up with next! God Bless!
You should do a multi-delay with 8 separate parallel delay lines WITH Separate modulation depth and rate, with a built-in high-performance multi-voice pitchshifter. Come on guys I know you can if you want ... just do it!
I 'll always be a customer of yours because you are a great company, we all want a pedal that includes flashback delay and hall of fame reverb , just two switches one for reverb and one for delay, of course stereo in and out, even without midi, please give it to us.
Just grabbed one this evening and I'm blown away. Ebay will soon be flooded with all the delay pedals this thing is going to replace. Also, a huge + that this thing handles line level as a breeze. Not only did I get the best guitar pedal on the market, but also a perfect insert/send delay processor to integrate into my DAW. Ran this through some piano tracks, and I'm now looking at all of my VST delay plugins with crooked eyebrows...
TC, please make a line of TonePrint pedals which support dual mono input and output. It would great to be able to set melody to the first two delays and bass to the last delay, for instance, but delay is not the only effect which would benefit. Chapman Stick players are a small market, yes, but such functionality would also help guitar, bass, and synth players. Imagine the wet/dry/wet rigs that could be set up!
Dear beloved TC electronic, the creator of ALL the effects I depend on everyday for my musical addiction. The background music (the calm stuff) is stuff of legend, of dreams and incredible beauty! PLEASE if anyone of you guys at TC have that stored somewhere may I PLEASE buy it or something. It would mean the world to me :) Kind regards Thomas
These multihead echoes you mentioned are just that: multitaps, not delays stacked like this. But the example has merit in terms of sound, yes... (Oh, and by saying "we took the engine of the Flashback X4" you actually mean "we took the engine of the Flashback" since they are identical)
Have been using this pedal for quite some time now and really enjoy using it for the worship services at my church. The only big problem is I am having a lot of trouble creating tone prints for this delay because of the three banks. This makes it very complicated to add a tone print to each of the 3 banks in the 4 tone print slots.. I am hoping that I can manage to have a total of 15 presets using the tone prints plus the standard banks not on the tone print slots.
These pedals and toneprints are great, but the line is blurring between stomp boxes and multi-FX. At what point do we just want a 1u Rack mount with all the tone prints in that we can connect to the PC for loading and configuring toneprints, and just have a generic controller at our feet?
Does this mean I can get that sweet triple delay that Brian May uses in Brighton Rock? I used to do that with the TC G Major but I took that out of my signal chain. SUCH an awesome effect though. I want it back!
Questions: -Can I store presets in this unit... how many...or CERO??? -Can I recall any presets via MIDI (combinations of 3 delays)... - Expression pedal can control parameters in all delays... Let's say: heel down: feedback 0% on Delay 1 , feedback 75% on Delay 2. heel up: feedback 75% on Delay 1 , feedback 0% on Delay 2. Or Expression pedal just can control 1 of the 3 delays parameters... Please let me know, this device sounds like a perfect alternative to replace a Line M9 device of a pedalboard which I am using only just for mixed delays with expression settings Thanks
Hey TC, love the triple delay! one of the only draw backs that i found after buying this pedal other than a switch being faulty (exchanged it for another one last week) was that the tap was NOT global unless activating each of the presets.... which i'm a bit disappointed and confused as to why. Will this be amended at some point via a software update? kinda hoping so because this pedal is pretty amazing... however i thought the whole point of the pedal was to be able to layer in delays seamlessly. the triple is pretty rocky id say but it just my opinion. You cant deny you guys aren't mind blowing geniuses on pedal tech, you gotta have a fix for this. Would love some feed back (no pun intended).
I posted about this on their forum, and tweeted them too. They tweeted back, "We would love to, but at the moment it all comes down to time and resources. If or when this frees up, we will look into it." I think if people keep bringing up this issue up there's a chance they will fix it. So do it people! Until then, I'll stick to my Nova Delay and my hopes.
Did you change the big black knobs from the previous model to little white knobs because the big black knobs were easily knocked with your foot? thus knocking your preset delay into manual mode? I did that all the time with my clumsy feet until I decided to just pull off 'em off. Love the pedal btw and TC stuff in general.
Hey TC, i love the ideia of the triple delay, but i also love the delays on the alter ego 2, can i put some of the presets from the alter ego on the tone print of the triple delay? thank you!
How many total presets does this one have? Is knob 3 only linked to the little switch delay 3? Or is knob 3 a third possible preset of the delay that the switch happens to be on?
Dear TC.E. I've got the X4, and I love the fact that I can use the 3 preset one at a time, and swap between them istantly (ex: i'm on preset 1, and pressing the preset 2 automatically turn off the preset 1). Can I do this with the Triple delay? Or do i have to turn off manually the preset I'm using ? (In other words :The delay presets are only "addictive"? or even switchables?) Thanks!
Can you do a short instructional video on how to set consistent tap tempo for all three delay engines when playing? I'm looking for this information and almost giving up as I cant find. This is will be decider for me to purchase. Please help
TC Electronic Appreciate it !! I personally feel a lot of people have this confusion. If buyers have to get an external tap tempo controller, you loose the price advantage over other mega delay pedals which are more expensive. I don’t know if I make sense. Cheers
It doesn’t have global tap tempo so thats very annoying when playing live because if you are gonna use two delays in the same song you must set them both before playing the song so thats a big problem, also when you turn it off it stops right in the moment. I just had it 2 months and now I am selling it.
Dear TC, please add a global tap tempo option to your Triple Delay, FBX4 and alter ego pedals. This is the main deal breaker between your delay pedals and a Timeline/ Timefactor/ DD500!!!!
Hello TC Electronic! Hey, I have a quick question if you don't mind: I've recently purchased a Flashback Triple Delay. But I've noticed that, specifically with the Reverse Delay Type, there is no change whatsoever if I move around the Subdiv Knob; however it does work with all the other Delay Types and even the TonePrints. Do you know why this might happen?
I have both units and they are great.... the only drawback is they don't have a wow and flutter effect... I simulated it by adding a little flanger and EQ but its not the same
I have some questions... one of my favorite echo boxes was the roland RE-301 space echo... unlike the 201, the delay heads were not evenly spaced.... and not in an exact subdivision.... some of them even differed slightly from one another.. this made it very unique... can I set the spacing of the 3 delays so they are all differently set apart? also, is there a warble (wow and flutter) effect to simulate the tape flutter?
I am really interested in simulating mode 5 on the re-301... This is a multi tap delay with head 2 & 3 selected... one of the interesting things about the RE-301 compared to the other space echoes was that the 3rd head was not evenly spaced... it was in fact more than double the distance from head 2 than head 2 was from the recording head. Another interesting thing about the Roland echo units is the designed in hysteresis of the motor speed control. This cause a speed fluctuation of around 1Hz, or one cycle per second. head 3 on the 301 is like a dotted note compared to head 2, it isn't directly scaled to the tempo like 3 equally spaced heads are. In other words, if you match head 2 to the tempo, then head 3 won't fit, and vice versa. This produces a roll over effect
***** Honestly, hats off to you & your deep research. But don't you think you've gone way too deep into detail that might not be so audible after all? Anyway, there is a model of the Space Echo used as a freely available Toneprint and mode, and you also have the Boss pedal that recreates it very well and the Strymon El Capistan which offers a "Space Echo" mode. But none of them offer the colouration of the stages of the preamp & the later ones, and they also don't go that deep into the subtleties you describe.
***** The TC toneprint editor offers more precise tweaking of wow & flutter etc., but I don't think they've made a special version for this pedal, so I think adjusting the tape head spacing in super ms accuracy for the 301 is out of the question.
it is very audible .... I may just end up buying a Re-301 but wanted a modern unit I could program... I can do it on my UD stomp and Magic stomp but they both lack the tape effects.
This might be a dumb question but when you used more the one delay does it give the same effect as 2 delay being stacked. Also can you use a tape delay for 1 delay and reverse delay at the same time
I wish somebody would explain how it works instead of extolling endlessly about how great it is. What a preset is, is never defined. Is one preset a saved combination of the three delays, or just one delay of the three? Nobody ever says what you get or what your strategy might be if you were to try to play it in a live setting. Is the presets ruined by the position of the series parallel switch? I'm lost. The show is starting. What do you do?
I can't find any info on what exactly is stereo in this pedal. Ok, modulation is stereo, ping pong is stereo, but what about double sub divisions? Are they stereo when the stereo outputs are used? Thanx for clarification.
so you can have multiple delays at the same time? i was planning on getting two delay pedals using different delay times for ambient tones. would buying this pedal be an ample replacement instead of running multiple pedals? meaning i have delays set to different times
Hi there, tap tempo is doing nothing until you press 1 or 2 or 3 , i mean that if you want to tap tempo a song at the start of the song without using the delay (in case you push it later in the song) it seems that it doesnt function, you must first press your bank 1 or 2 or 3 and then you tap tempo in,so if you close your delay you loose your tap tempo time you have set before,is there any new firmware for that?correct me if i am doing something wrong
George Piaditis as you state, tap tempo only affects the active delays. There's no global tap tempo firmware update available, and no current plans for making such an update.
Wow. So cool...when and where can I buy this? Oh hey btw my X4 video is currently at 60k views and all thumbs up, how about hooking a brother up? lol wishful thinking...
Hey Nick! I really enjoyed your flashback x4 video. Hopefully we'll see you do a similar thing with the triple delay. Maybe someone at TC sees these comments and sends you one to review. That would be awesome!
i stack 2 fuzzes and a distortion and play around with amp feedback. can this pedal handle a wall of distortion like that? or will it only handle squeaky clean signal?
Just bought this and the delays are distorted no matter what I do. The signal going into the pedal is clean, so why are the delays distorted?! So frustrating.
+Josh Saloka are you running it into the drive channel of your amp? Because that way there will be applied distortion after the delay, which will make the repeats distort.
Thanks for the reply. I'm going out of the mono output of the pedal into the main input on my amp. I just have a little Vox 15W so there's only one input.
With each video Tore looks more and more like Pedal Jesus.
he is ///
I want this man to narrate everything for the rest of my life.
This is the best product release video i have seen on you tube, great backing track and the info is delivered perfectly. Inspirational work guy's well done.
This is exactly what I've wanted in a delay pedal for years! Brilliant work TC Electronic !!
This truely is the most amazing pedal i have ever owned!
Keep up your great work TC Electronic!
Sincere and obviously loving the products and most importantly, music.
i just got my triple delay yesterday (2015-10-03)...love it! love it! love it!
i'm gonna spend a grey sunday exploring it deeply...
Another cool pedal by Tc Electronic! But please, I'm beggin you, make a Wah Pedal! You know that we all need a nice wah pedal with toneprint function;)
Peacetrain n
You need a crybaby 535q
honestly this may be one of the best pedals ever created. i wish i could afford one so bad.
Yaaaaaay . . . Finally "Global Tap Tempo". I'm Getting One. Thank You TC. - Michael Caz - NYC -
Last Friday I purchased a Flashback triple - it arrived Monday and quickly took pride of place on my pedalboard - till yesterday (Tuesday) when it started to act strangely. I hope this is not a sign of the standard of the tc electronic products under TC's new ownership!!!
I play a lot of Shadows music and was asked to compare this with my TVS3 and Meazzi Echomatic
Well as expected the TC Triple Echo arrived this morning and I immediately set it up and had a play with it.
I had the Wonderful Land echo in five minutes by using the SUBDIV control to achieve the fourth head, thanks for the heads up on that Roger. I actually used the SUBDIV for heads 2 & 3, setting 1 &4 separately with head 4 being the loudest as it should be.( at least 40% louder than the first three)
This is the classic Echomatic 2 pattern that was used for Peace Pipe, The Savage, Kon Tiki and loads of other titles, with varying amounts of level and feedback that allowed subtle differences for each tune.
I am sold (again), thanks TC!
finally! I have been lookin for something that does this.
YES!! Exactly what I've been wanting somebody to do!
What an incredible good looking man. thanks for the info on this pedal, it is so lush and warm and beautiful. just like your beard.
love this guys playing. I like this pedals concept, however I need to be able to set 4-12 separate DLY setting presets for a show, but I'm the frontman/MD so it all has to be preset ahead of time
I just love to see this guy !
I have mine for over 3 years now. If it breaks down on me one day, I'd buy one again. I love this pedal.
TC manage to blow my mind everytime they launch a new product.. the music is so relaxing... is it somewhere for download? Would like it to use as background music to soothe my troubles
The Triple Delay has landed! bit.ly/flashback-triple-delay

Can't wait, just tell me when and where to buy it. Looks like such a cool pedal.
Has a firmware update or option for global tap tempo been offered yet?
I'd love to have the tap control all three delays whether they're currently engaged or not, that way I can bring in different subdivisions during the song in time with my original tap tempo
great demo! congrats - God bless!
this guy sounds so Danish it's not even funny. Love it! keep up to good work with your electronics!
THAT GUITAR JAM !!!! SO FREAKIN HOT !!!! i want to hear it clearly please upload it :'(
Dear TC I love your products. But it would be so nice to have a toneprint firmware that I can use for different platforms. For instance; I will buy this triple delay and it'd be really useful to get a reverb toneprint to use with all these delays or for a corona or something. Thanks!

Great demo
A well done video. Great job!
I dig it. Want one!
This pedal sounds great, just like every other TC pedal. But is he wearing a blouse?
You should do a multi-delay with 8 separate parallel delay lines WITH Separate modulation depth and rate, with a built-in high-performance multi-voice pitchshifter.
Come on guys I know you can if you want ... just do it!
I agree
8 is for kids. We need SIXTY FOUR! And a built-in can opener, drink mixer, and disposable enema warmer.
Um, I vote yes! I love my Nova Repeater... this seems like the best of all worlds!
What a pedal. Good job TC. But it still lacking a Mod control knob. I'll still buy it.
I 'll always be a customer of yours because you are a great company, we all want a pedal that includes flashback delay and hall of fame reverb , just two switches one for reverb and one for delay, of course stereo in and out, even without midi, please give it to us.

this is rad
I like this pedal! Also, I would like to know where I can listen to the song that sounds on the background! Thanx!
Hey, TC! Is it possible to have the three switches behave as normal, i.e. pressing 1, 2 or 3 will switch to said pedal instead of adding it on top? 😊
That you have the normal x4 for :)
Thanks, just double checking! :)
Andreas lund, tc electronic what song is that??? it's beautiful!! those bends...
Did you change the big black knobs from the previous model to little white knobs because the big black knobs were easily knocked with your foot? thus knocking your preset delay into manual mode? I did that all the time with my clumsy feet until I decided to just pull off 'em off.

I was waiting for the racist punch line but it never came. 😜
Dan Dunning me? Racist? Nah never! they're alright them....
What is the best budget solution to control a global tempo for TC triple delay pedal.
Smart clock pedal is good but fukn expensive..
Thnxx guys
Hey TC, i love the ideia of the triple delay, but i also love the delays on the alter ego 2, can i put some of the presets from the alter ego on the tone print of the triple delay? thank you!
Interesting pedal! And I love the music, really great guitar player. Do anybody know what Fender Amp and what mike that is?
This is awesome! But what the hell is "Anarog Dry Fru" ?
I'll buy it.
Just waiting
Am I the only one who wants the background music?
Reminds me of Knopfler soundrack "the cal"
His hair is beautiful.
do a flashback triple an x4 in one pedal...
How many total presets does this one have?
Is knob 3 only linked to the little switch delay 3?
Or is knob 3 a third possible preset of the delay that the switch happens to be on?
Andreas Lund can sell me any pedal. Intense musical craftmanship! I highly recommend his album!
Is what he played a song on his albums?
Nice blouse
DAT pedal, and DAT beard !!!
Is the action a bit low on that Strat? Sounds like it's choking out a bit...

Yamaha UD stomp and Magicstomp eats this for breakfast !
8 Digital independent delay lines.
No pitch modulation = No fun !
I have both units and they are great.... the only drawback is they don't have a wow and flutter effect... I simulated it by adding a little flanger and EQ but its not the same
***** What do you need wow and flutter effects for ?
I do not see any use of that at all !
Have you ever used a real tape echo unit ? Its a very nice artifact of the tapes... It sounds wonderful. If you don't agree then that is fine.
I wish you could hold down the tape temp footswitch and make it oscillate or “twist” like the boss dd20
I need this
I have some questions... one of my favorite echo boxes was the roland RE-301 space echo... unlike the 201, the delay heads were not evenly spaced.... and not in an exact subdivision.... some of them even differed slightly from one another.. this made it very unique... can I set the spacing of the 3 delays so they are all differently set apart? also, is there a warble (wow and flutter) effect to simulate the tape flutter?
I can do it on my UD stomp and Magic stomp but they both lack the tape effects.
the pedals you mention simulate the 201 space echo which has even head spacing. Thank you for your comments
Hey how can I get the delay of Sirius by Alan Parsons Project? Thank you!
When the mash version coming?
This might be a dumb question but when you used more the one delay does it give the same effect as 2 delay being stacked. Also can you use a tape delay for 1 delay and reverse delay at the same time
can the expression pedal effect two parameters at once yet?
I wish somebody would explain how it works instead of extolling endlessly about how great it is. What a preset is, is never defined. Is one preset a saved combination of the three delays, or just one delay of the three? Nobody ever says what you get or what your strategy might be if you were to try to play it in a live setting. Is the presets ruined by the position of the series parallel switch? I'm lost. The show is starting. What do you do?
do you recommed this one with Ditto x4 looper and acoustic guitar ?
Can you use the delay one at a time without them stacking? Can you store 6 presets like the flashback 2 x4
2:05 was the best part for sure
Can we have this with LCD Screen ?
Is there a way to have a delay that when you turn the effect off you would still hear the effect but fading away?
@2:55 does Andreas Lund have a song with these licks?
I can't find any info on what exactly is stereo in this pedal. Ok, modulation is stereo, ping pong is stereo, but what about double sub divisions? Are they stereo when the stereo outputs are used? Thanx for clarification.
Yup, the sub-divisons get split when using just a single delay engine. 🙂
@@tcelectronic , thank you! That's great news. Does it pitch shift delay repeats when you turn the time knob?
How do you store presets? I've been wanting a brilliant reverse delay combined with a Space Echo to sound. I think I found my solution.
+Brandon Gee - You simply hold one of the three bypass switches for 2sec until the LED blinks, and boom!... You've just stored a preset :)
Thanks dude. You're a lifesaver.
so you can have multiple delays at the same time? i was planning on getting two delay pedals using different delay times for ambient tones. would buying this pedal be an ample replacement instead of running multiple pedals? meaning i have delays set to different times
+AndroxineVortex yes. It's basically three standalone delays in one box. So it would make very much sense to get the Triple Delay :)
Ok I see,it will be quite useful although for at least one preset (ex.1),that's my opinion.Thank you for replying!
George Piaditis I Agree
wow that intro. does anybody know the name of the song?
Dat beard. Epic.
Wow. So cool...when and where can I buy this? Oh hey btw my X4 video is currently at 60k views and all thumbs up, how about hooking a brother up? lol wishful thinking...
Me too *****! Haha just have to get the pedal lol
Hey Nick! I really enjoyed your flashback x4 video. Hopefully we'll see you do a similar thing with the triple delay. Maybe someone at TC sees these comments and sends you one to review. That would be awesome!
This is a fantastic pedal. But I liked the looper feature ):
i stack 2 fuzzes and a distortion and play around with amp feedback. can this pedal handle a wall of distortion like that? or will it only handle squeaky clean signal?
+Carlitos Padilla - It'll handle all the dirt you can throw at it :)
Can anyone recommend any music similar to the background tracks or the few tabs played by the guy on the start?
Dear tc electronics,
how can i turn off the pedal(tc electronics triple delay)? , today i buyed it,and i don't know how turn off..
Regards
David Gonzalez If you want to completely turn off the pedal, then you just remove the power supply from the 9v power socket :)
How many banks are available for saving presets?
