I bought a 2010 Equinox exactly one year ago. I saw it come off the delivery truck. My headliner was sagging WHEN IT CAME OFF OF THE TRUCK!

I agree with you,After spending so much money one should recieve a quality product and satisfactory customer service to back it up.It goes to show that the American Automobile industry still has a long way to go.

Just bought a honda cr-v after driving the equinox.. Just did not have a good feeling about gm and their customer satisfaction. Too big and arrogant and that's after they got the bailout !

I've always owned Chevy's and I will admit that their service is complete and total bull shit. They CHARGE ME for warranty work??! Honda doesn't do that.... Thank god I turn down their additional coverage crock of shit when I buy them because I'm a mechanic and I'm the only person I trust working on MY car.

It's stuff like this that makes me want to just keep the bicycle. But then there's that 86 pound keyboard and speakers to haul around ... I have had cars from all of the American "big three" and I can't say that my experiences with maintenance have been positive on any front. It says a lot for you that you remain calm.

I was seriously thinking of purchasing this SUV , but this and many other videos and comments like this have seriously changed my mind. I think ill just get a Ford fusion. At least it was North American car of the year for a reason

Well done! Concise, entertaining, and very informative.
Today I began test driving new SUVs. Although we have 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees and my wife wants another Jeep, but a smaller version (Compass), I wanted to also look at other SUV's.
I am (was) considering, in order of preference, the following vehicles: #1-Chevy Equinox, #2-Nissan Rogue, #3- Ford Escape, #4-Jeep Compass.
Thanks to your video the Chevy Equinox, or anything Chevy, has been permanently scratched off my list.

Hi. Did they finally fix your problem. Do you still have the car.

  • @deezedayz

repair the issue. The issue was repaired and immediately, I drove the car next door to the Ford dealership who was at the time having a "Trade in your import" sale. I ended up trading up to a 2012 Ford Escape. It has been 4 months now with my Escape and no problem. I hope everything is working out for you. You may just have to trade that car in for another make, I'm not saying "get a Ford", but as a long-time Ford driver, I've been pretty satisfied.

OMG and I thought Chrysler was the only American car company you couldn't trust! I've been a supporter for GM cars for a long time and my girlfriend's parents are looking into a brand new Cadillac DTS. I better warn them.

My brothers prius just passed 205 000 miles and still going strong. Only had the AC redone. It gets 50 mpg average.
Thanks for the video though, i actually was interested in chevy but now i'll stay away from the brand in total.

Sorry to hear about your equinox. It's unfortunate that the dealerships around your area are assholes. We have an equinox as well (1LT AWD), and our dealership calls us at least once a week to check up on our vehicle. We have had it for about 4 months now and it's running great! One recall thus far, but only for the tire pressure monitoring system readout.

Warren im reposting what i can remember i wrote. In short most of these problems start on the Shopfloor.Final Inspection of the Parts.Poor testing of the finished Product.Who knows?I can give you all the ingredients for a world class Gumbo recipe ,doesn,t mean to say you can cook it, without proper Direction.Their Treatment of you is inexcuseable, and their attitude sucks They will never be, what they once thought they were.I hate saying this, but we have lost out to better workers,"The Japanese".

Not gonna argue but the only problem that I've had with the equinox is how much oil it uses oh wait , and the fact that the bottom left back panel is coming off and the dealership only chipped the paint when they fixed see this in a new car is depressing but I might be getting a new jeep wrangler soon

identified. I drive my car for a few more weeks. With about 1,050 miles on the car, I started to notice steam coming from under the hood and the temperature running rather hot. I set up an appointment with my dealer, took the car in and had them take a look at it only to be told that the coolant level was low. They filled it up, gave the car back to me. A week later, the car started making groaning noises when I turned the steering wheel. This time, I called my Toyota dealer and asked them to

I have owned: a Ford Probe it lasted 14 years, a Ford/Mercury Sable it lasted 11 years, a Nissan Maxima it is 13 years old (still have this one) - I'm thinking of trading it in for a 2013 Escape. Buying cars is always scary, at least it is for me. The Maxima is the best, but drinks gas and is starting to rust in important places. If you buy a lemon I think the best to do is trade it in and bite the bullet on a 5 to 8k loss. Hard to do I guess.

I had a similar situation with my 2011 Toyota Camry. I bought it new, after years of hearing so many people brag about their Toyotas, so I got one.. Just drove off the lot, almost home, the oil, power steering, and transmission lights come on. I pulled over & called my salesperson. The dealership sent a tow truck out and towed the car back. They gave me a loaner car because the shop had closed for the evening. Next day, I get a call saying that my car has been "fixed", but no problem(s) were

Research all those Ford Escapes that catch on fire in people's homes. Honda has transmission problems. Toyota trucks would rust apart. I am afraid of owning any car after 2005. Seems like poor quality plagues so many new vehicles.

I've have a 1999 Chevy Cavalier and the car was great for most of the time I've had it (I am the original owner), even with it gone through an accident. There were a few minor recalls that they fixed. Working in retail has taught me that every once in a while a good product has some defectives. This should not turn everyone off of Chevy. I've heard bad things about Ford too, but I would still give them a look. Every manufacturer makes a mistake, can't be perfect. Thanks for the video!

  • @kennyandteav

Should have bought a Ford, but then again it was probably a chevy loving friend who talked you into buying a chevy and not a ford... Ive heard something bad about every chevy model now! Still havnt heard anything bad about Ford. Most will agree they are just built better plain and simple!

The chevy equinox is a re badged Suzuki
and thus do not be too shocked as well it is an over priced Suzuki
and lastly it is made in Canada not USA
    buy a Nissan 100 % American 100% satisfaction
