That's incredibly immature when it's clear to the eye that elements in both parties have committed egregious violations to individual freedom in this country. I made my comment because we currently have a President from the Democratic Party who has ignored Supreme Court rulings and has verbatim said that what he was going to do was "unconstitutional" but that the greater good in his eyes was more important. Petty tribalism holds us all back.

Yeah, most of my family and friends are rather socially conservative (in Germany, though) and even somewhat anti-gay, yet I can talk to them about it without any conflict, and I'm even openly bisexual. I think usually when people hear that somebody is from another party or ideology, they immediately think they must be for EVERTHING that ideology generally stands for. Except people are individuals, and them not having the same positions as most people of that ideology isn't a "baffling anamoly" as some people see it, but it's just normal. I think most people will always be nice people, you just have to actually talk to them and talk about THEM and their actual positions and feelings, not their ideology

Theres no opinion or argument there, just stating a fact. I asked you is that not relevant, you then said thats rhetoric. Maybe bc its so glaringly obvious.
