As Bill Maher said, “Maybe the girl who hates girly stuff just needs to learn that being female doesn’t mean you have to act like a Kardashian.”
Amen 💯 👏 👏
Truer words have never been spoken!
The tomboy should make a come back. I grew up as a tomboy but understood, thanks to my parents, that I wasn't a boy nor did I need to be one. I could be a nerdy girl that grew up into hunting and sports while keeping my pulp fiction, science fiction and fantasy likes, and that was fine.
That just shows that you aren’t understanding the issue. Why would you think that people hadn’t already thought of this? You honestly believe trained therapists and psychiatrists never once thought that some characteristics are shared by gay and trans people? Your fear of trans is making you not think straight.
@@sgshaday and no one nudged you into taking hormones, which at any age has deep consequences (some not so desirable like health problems).
Couldn't stop laughing when Bill said, " I wanted to be a pirate. Thank God nobody scheduled me for eye removal and peg leg surgery"
Yes that had me in stitches too - definitely the funniest ending to a new rule I've heard :D
I'm still laughing! 🤣😂
Sweet pickles baby thats some funny shit .
I'm completely jaw dropped in all this situation.
Who on earth would do such thing to their own children? Not even the weirdest cult in human history have played with children like this.
Who are these people? What motivates them behind their decision?
It seems to me that this was all planned out decades ago.
Let's have "women liberation".....let's have "sexual liberation"......let's have "gay liberation" .......let's have "gender fluidity liberation".
They made a lot of people think they were free....then they convince them of being bisexual.....then being gay......now being trans.....I agree with Bill that is a trend.....but this trend was socially engineered long long ago.
What is the end goal in here? You have many cultures in the east that are disgusted by all of this.
It's a matter of time before these cultures will widen their differences to such a degree that it will clash in a world war.
I fear for the future of my kids.
@@vinlondon8904 It is by design. By the very people you have identified as being disgusted by it. They were jealous of our freedoms. The Marxists. They captured our three branches. Through blackmail and greed they control congress, Governorships, and Secretaries of State and Attorneys General across our nation. They've been stealing our way of life, our taxes and our Elections. In two months the truth will have already been brought to light. Pray people.
This video needs 7.5 billion views.
That was 9 minutes of truth. As a parent, I thank you for using your platform to say what needs to be said.
This is 9 minutes of shit. Bill doesn't once refer to the science of the matter which unambiguously points in favor of gender affirming care. It's 100% feels-based, which is so disappointing considering Bill isn't a parent and usually knows how much parents can be so easily manipulated by scary kid-based fearmongering.
Why does homophobic hysteria need to be said, and what does it have to do with actual parenthood?
@@highroller-jq3ix not wanting gender affirming care for minors isn’t homophobic hysteria. Gender affirming care for minors is child abuse plain and simple.
He was part of the problem tone deaf for sure...to late buddy you crested the problem
@highroller-jq3ix how is it homophobic to talk about transgender they're two different groups of people
"Maybe the girl who hates girly stuff just needs to learn that being female doesn't mean you have to act like a Kardashian."
That was strong. Funny, but strong.
Or maybe you have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about. Seriously... Maybe you should just let people be who they want to be, because it doesn't affect you in the slightest. Live and let live, mind your own business and realise that people don't have to conform to forms of being or thinking that others are comfortable with. Simple as that.
This is too complex to try to argue on a UA-cam comment thread. But if a kid likes the characteristics of the opposite gender and chooses to pursue acting them out it’s his or her prerogative. It’s when someone wants to defy physical nature by amputating themselves that should raise questions about someone’s mental well being. And the same can be said about “normal people” doing culturally accepted cosmetic surgery. I’m one who can care less if you chop off or artificially add anything from or to your body. I just laugh when you demand from me to believe your lies when things are blatantly obvious….you’re either born male or female, period.

WTF. And this is programming for kids.
Yes cause many are starting to realize that it's getting out of hand!
Props to HBO for airing this ignorance. The same exact graph could be used for people who identified as left handed. That graph plateaued once it was no longer a crime, or seen as evil to be left handed. The gender graph will plateau in the same way.
"It's not always about you" - thank you Bill, I'm so glad someone in your position finally just said it.

@@highroller-jq3ix what's wingnut fundies?
@@ForeverBennett You probably meant what are wingnut fundies, right?
Half of it is "Look at me, I'm special and interesting now".
Which what's pretty funny about that, and here's the thing about previous generations of lgwifi password, is that it was about passing and blending in before, just like prior to the 2010s it was more about normalization and equal rights. Like nobody actually wanted to be outlandish than drag queens or whatever, most people were trying to pass or blend in and fly under the radar. This is the complete exact opposite. It's the same thing as with all these fake disorders, people with REAL disorders aren't trying to get attention, they are literally trying (and often failing) to do exactly the complete f'ing opposite which is to blend in. Like kids who have bipolar or narcolepsy or tourettes, the last thing ANY of those kids want to do is draw more attention to their disorder, it's unbelievably mortifying, you DON'T want people to know that you are depressed. Like with cutters, I think most cutters I knew had hidden them, some pretty well. This is why so many girls had them on inner thighs or ankles or some shit.
@@drek9k2 One thing to always remember is that society as a whole follows trends. If something is hip and wild and makes you seem interesting, others will start copying it. If anyone thinks that young people arent willing to alter their identity in order to elevate their social media standing, they are delusional. When I was a kid the only people who had tattoos were bikers, convicts and ex-military. Seriously. Then tattoos became a popular way to show how unique and rebellious you were and next thing you know, everyone has tattoos. People become addicted to them. What they are really addicted to is the attention. "Hey, check out my new piece". Look at dreadlocks in the NFL. Originally there were one or two guys with dreads. Then 5. Now its 20 guys per team and now dreads are popular and trending upwards in the gen pop. The ultimate irony is that things become trendy because they are unique, different. As soon as they become trendy the uniqueness is gone. People are so anxious to stand out and be unique, that they fall in line with all of the other 'unique' people. Same applies to this topic.
"Children are impressionable and very very stupid." Give this man an Emmy.
Not stupid, just lacking experience and knowledge.
Naive or ignorant would be a more accurate term.

STUPID (adj) - 1. Slow of mind. 2. Given to unintelligent decisions or acts: acting in an unintelligent or careless manner. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
I’d say the definition of “stupid” perfectly describes human beings of all ages, but especially children.
As a father and bonus-father of a total of 7 children, I can testify to the accuracy of Bill’s word choice.

I'm 77, a biological woman and as a conservative am relieved to hear your remarks.
I came thru the 70's and explored the age of Aquarius. I went thru the tomboy stage (boys activities were much more exciting) I felt twinges of same sex attraction when my close friends were girls and my hormones were activating, bought into the free love lifestyle, explored religions and spiritual enlightenment etc. I was allowed the freedom to be and to taste and test. No one labeled me as a set in concrete identity but depending on the observer ,I was variously viewed as tomboy, rebel, sinner (at times), activist, defender of infant life, ( after abortions) , truth seeker always, to the irritation ( understandably frequently) of some friends and former friends..
My point , If I had declared and identified permanently with any of those phases/seasons I would have stunted my growth. I would never have come to experience the peace ,confidence and love that I now posses by the grace of God.

As a democrat and gay guy I want to say this: thank you Bill for saying this out loud. Kids should not make these kinds of life-changing decisions.
You know this is really what the Florida bill is about. It was never the dont say gay bill that the left tagged it as. It truly was about the transgender fad that is sweeping through the children. Let me be clear anyone who does have to suffer through that truly, I feel bad for them. The ones that are dealing with the true mental anguish of not knowing their own bodies. The acronymic "T", included in the Gallup 20.8% of Gen Z LGBTQ individuals, represents less than 2% of the U.S. Gen Z population who are transgender. Less than 2% is a vastly different concept/number from 100%, which Maher explicated with his untethered, "All the babies . . . ". Is there a term that applies for when one exponentially exaggerates hyperbole?
@1:37 "The ACLU recently tweeted a list of those who would be disproportionately harmed by this (loss of abortion rights). You would think women might top that list, no. Wasn't even on the list. Second on the list was LGBT. Really? Abortion rights effects gay and trans people more than . . . you know, breeders?"
What a dickheaded diatribe. The ACLU's unranked listing of those at risk of disproportionate harm is as follows:
▪ Black, Indigenous & other people of color
▪ the LGBTQ community
▪ immigrants
▪ young people
▪ those working to make ends meet
▪ people with disabilities
The ACLU erred in ascribing a reasonable level of intelligence and common sense to Maher and his producers. It seems apparent that the ACLU did not anticipate that people would miss the obvious . . . that abortion bans do "proportionately" harm all "individuals with uteri who can become pregnant" (at times incl. most women, many trans-men, some non-binary folks, etc.). Their list is clearly meant to identify the minority demographic subcategories, of the over-arching population with potential for pregnancy, which would experience harm "disproportionately".

Puberty blockers, GnRH analogues, administered with historical safety to children suffering from precocious puberty, since the early 80's, are only ever prescribed on a temporary basis, for a limited time period, during which patients are monitored for adverse reactions and side effects like loss of bone density. They would not be prescribed for a child as young as 9 unless that child exhibited precocious puberty. Also, I challenge anyone to identify any case where a 9 yr old has undergone genital sex reassignment surgery, as Maher implies here.

This is not a satire anymore but reality. Thank you Bill.👍
Why do you have a problem with Trans people?
Not necessarily, he says the amount of lgbtq people coming out nowadays is more than double what it was a few generations ago. This is true but then he takes it to the conclusion that by 2050 everyone would be lgbtq, this is a logical falicy at best. Not everyone is gay or trans or what have you and being such isn't something that can be taught or forced into existence at any age, we know this because being straight isn't something that can be taught or forced into existence at any age, believe me we tried. Conversion therapy even back when it's practices were blatantly tantamount to torture it still didn't work. If it didn't work for gays it won't work for straights plain and simple.
Now that we have that out of the way, with increasing acceptance of lgbtq people you will predictably see an uptick in population that identifies as such, but after a certain point that number will plateau, same way it happened for left handed people in the 1920s and 1930s, (when before even then being left handed was considered taboo). We saw the same growing of general acceptance, individuals who came out, and the same predictable plateau. not all people are left handed and not all people are lgbtq, that fact will not change.
As for the puberty blocker stuff, we have over 30 years of research already put into the effects of it especially in children, considering one of its original purposes was to treat early onset breast cancer in children. The only real danger that is consistent across the board is very rare cases of temporarily reduced bone density.
A lot of context is left out here and I don't blame Bill at all for it considering not everyone knows about this stuff yet but I'd imagine after a session of answering some of these questions we can clear up a lot of the misconceptions
He didn't understand the LGBT community AT ALL in this clip, it is really disingenuous and insulting. It is not that suddenly more people want to be lgbt, it is simply they are more comfortable identifying that way. It's really shameful what he said here trying to say that is wrong over and over again...

Liberalism is destroying the West.
You can thank Dave Chappelle for kicking down THAT door.
But even here he still uses their false narrative that they are somehow oppressed and "Marginalised"
How?
They are the most promoted and protected group in history and have special privileges through "diversity quotas" heterosexual people don't have.
In fact "affirmative action" of any kind actually actively discriminates against people outside of the specified privileged groups.
The most marginalised people across the West by far are white heterosexual working class men who are vilified 24/7, just supporting Trump is unprecedented extremism according to the US government! Before that they were deplorable and they are scapegoated for every single social issue in America, how is that not marginalised?
Identity politics is the very definition of discriminating between groups based on religion, race, gender or sexual proclivity - something they pretend they are fighting.
The more they divide, the more they have power and so they must perpetually invent new divisions and there fore a new oppressed class and new oppressor classes.
Identity politics is the the mechanism for this and even where there may be a hint of real oppression it is hijacked by the high Priests and Priestesses of the cult of Political Correctness for their own self promotion and empowerment.
Every individual within a so called minority group these people attach a label to has their individual voices stolen and are then forever "represented" by these antihuman, anti freedom, Marxian social engineers.
There are plenty of gay men, for example, who disagree with the LGBT agenda but are now too frightened to speak out.
They understand that they won the arguments for equality and now this is a war against the traditional family and decent civil society based on Christian ethos and morality.
This is simply turning vast swathes of people against them and this anger is fermenting silently because speech and debate are so oppressed.
The longer we allow the tyranny to continue and thrive the higher the price will need to be paid if we are ever to be free once more.
This is actually brilliant, Bill Maher- congrats on dipping your toe back into relevancy.
LGBTQ+ went from understanding to accepted to celebrated to marketed in a pretty quick time frame. Regarding all the memorabilia surrounding it, it seems less like an accepted community of people (which i agree with btw) and more like a highly promoted movie franchise 😄
Because it's true. The gender medical complex is a $5 billion industry and growing rapidly. There's nothing altruistic about it, and corporations jumping on the "pride" bandwagon has long been an obvious and offensive marketing scheme and little more to many gays and lesbians long before the TransQueer explosion. Look up transhumanism, it's even worse than it seems on the surface.

Ten or twenty years down the road, a large number of them will regret decisions they made as teenagers that ultimately profoundly affect their physical and mental health.

If you look closer into the statistics of the study about this LGTBQ rise among younger people, it's interesting to note that the group of persons identifying as bisexual is rising by far the most. I'm gay and have the suspicion that it's a certain group of woke people: For example I know a number of young feminists who claim to be bisexual, yet always end up with a boyfriend! We have to get over having "touchy" subjects. People's refusal to speak up on these horrors is why it's gone this far. I had a 6th grade girl student back in 2000 who HATED anything girly. Not "was a Tom Boy" (though she was) but actually got upset about having to wear something frilly for a formal event she was attending (maybe bar/bat mitzvah). She ended joining the army as a therapist working with soldiers suffering from PTSD. Always saw photos of her on social media in her fatigues with a pony tail. Then one day photos of her wedding showed up (to a man) and she was in a beautiful dress and I made a comment. She laughed and noted she really did hate dresses as a child, but doesn't mind wearing them from time to time now. Sadly, had she grown up today there might be an urge to make her something she wasn't. The girl just hated dresses, liked playing sports, and could kick the ass of any boy in her class (and was VERY proud of the fact she was from Texas)...but we all liked her because she was funny, hardworking, sweet, kind, tough, and 100% herself.
Similar story with my wife. My wife wore combat boots under her prom dress. Never wore makeup and her mom tells me she always came home with sticks in her hair. Only ever wore T shirts and jeans for all of school. Then when she got into college, she gradually started getting more feminine, and now she won't leave the house with makeup and looking "cute". This perspective is a breath of fresh air and admittedly because I share the same perspective. The message is delivered in such a humorous way that I hope it is easier for people to see the irony in their own actions and to focus on that. We can all get caught up in our stupid decisions. Then we get wrapped up in the justification of something that ends up being harmful. Denial doesn't equal growth. Accepting and loving ourselves should be unconditional and not involve telling other people what to do or overreacting to their voiced opinions. Communicating our thoughts should never be compared to violent acts. That is done to keep people silent and compliant. We define ourselves throughout our lives which is a beautiful thing. Most people get stuck when they think they have to change to feel normal. Why is it that we can't all just embrace our uniqueness? Our unique feelings make up for the wonderful part of who we were meant to be. Love yourself and forget about generalities and what other people are thinking. We all need to lighten up. Now, saying that, it is spreading to kids and that is something that people need to start standing up against. But again, I don’t think it is fear. Usually the people with the most fear are the ones that speak the loudest and try to force their opinion the most. Fantastic, Bill! That sums up exactly my thoughts and concerns but with way more clarity and humor than I could muster. One mother was boosting about how she was taking away her son's boy toys and trying to force him to play with girl's toys and then complaining how the boy was resisting. I have no problem if a boy gravitates to that out of choice but to force it on him means you can't tell if it's what he wants or if he is just seeking his mother's approval by playing with girl toys. What a mess. I now consider myself an anti-woke liberal. Is that even a thing?

Yes--that's a thing. It's the new Walkaway movement. I'd describe Bill that way. It's been enjoyable the past two years watching him get red pilled. Personally, I've walked away from the Democrat party, as have millions of others.
@@tparbs The problem is that republicans remained the same. They didn't become classical liberals.
A lot of them are still very conservative.
Oh, boy, is that ever a thing. Thank goodness! Thought I was the only liberal out here saying, "If that's woke, I'm sleeping in"!

As a gay man I'm 100% with you Bill on this. We should look into this scientifically without any personal feelings.
My brother is gay. So I grew up with a gay person. My brother has been telling me that we have some problems right now.
And also he doesn't like to be put into a box with everyone else. The LGBTQ box. He doesn't like being classified and clarified and stuffed into a box full of people he has nothing in common with. That's what he thinks. I I don't really know.
I'm generally conservative (however that's defined, I guess), but I have been surprised by how many writers, commentators and other public personalities who I really like are in fact gay. And I guess for me that means, no, I'm not homophobic for not being terribly comfortable with the idea of an over-the-top gay parade, just as I wouldn't be comfortable in a strip club... or any club really. My cup of tea is.... a cup of tea. Everyone is an individual. But so much of our culture of "either/or" says that on such an issue I must either be "pro-all gays" or "anti-gay". It's bizarre.
@@TheBandit7613 I completely agree with your brother. As a gay man I also resent being classified with people I have nothing in common with.
Yes. I agree with you.
@@daveh893 The point of being classified together is to fight collectively for rights against people who want you dead, jailed or back in the closet. What you have in common is the fight for your rights.

The sad thing is you would think this is wife spread knowledge. It’s easily accessible and verifiable but these fuxkin ppl are oblivious to it
I find it troubling that people need this to be explained to them.
This is absolutely true and exactly the proof that everything we are as people/members of society is socially and environmentally conditioned. "Women" are what we teach them to be and men the same. The fact that not everyone installs the programming in exactly the same way is precisely what tells us that our variation is environmental, not biological.
@@Blox117 Whats that?! I can't hear you over this woodchipper!
i laughed out loud at least 4 times - i mean a good old belly laugh. ty Bill for your humor, and your courage to say what's up with this. I'm watching this one year after you made the video. And i think... hope.... that ppl like you who encouraged others to also say - hey! we do get to ask some questions is finally paying off. I honestly think the 'trend' is reversing quickly into "hands off the kids"!! Sadly, not soon enough for those who have already been messed with medically, but at least the madness of this madness is becoming more and more clear. I love the fact that your humor can often speak so much louder than the either the left or right's angry noise. The humor sometimes makes us see the seriousness faster, and it definitely exposes the insanity as soon as it leaves your mouth.
F***ing brilliant. It's so refreshing to hear someone say these things out loud! Thank you!
As an older gay man I have to concur with much of what he has to say. I find for instance the explosion in people who identify as nonbionary is something only a very rare few did back in the previous decades. A nonbinary person I spoke with spoke specifically about learning online what they were. My vibe of them - after getting to know them - is that they are a lesbian who is fairly masculine, not exactly an identity that needs a new category. In fact many older lesbian friends say fewer young people are identifying as lesbian, prefering to be nonbianary, which is a shame considering that those of us L and G people fought hard to make room for women to break the bonds of strict gender roles. As an older, white gay man I've also been told to shut-up, I have no right to have any input in the modern movement, a movement that I and the generations before me built! The truth is that the best statistics indicate we LGBT people make up around 4 to 5 percent of all humans. Truly trans people make up about one half of one percent of humans. That's a lot of people, but having people who dye their hair blue declaring themselves queer, just makes a mockery of those of us who were in fact "born this way."
Under rated comment right here
You are created man or woman you're not created to be gay.
@@vickymcpherson7985 Uh, OK. You don't even understand the categories so you're comment is staggeringly dimwitted. Also perhaps you can explain same sex attraction in nature, which is well documented.
First they will dispose the G, then the L... the red tide is coming. At least we will watch a lot of "purges" within the reds. 🍿🍿🍿
Gay people still exist. Lesbians still exist. Making room for others doesn't need to take away anything from you.
This is among his best monologues. The reaction is testament to how many of us have been thinking the exact same thing.
I said this to another person but, I think it was pretty dumb. why are there more LBGT people? Cause it's more acceptable, pretty simple. And then engaging in reworked old school homophobic rhetoric to attack trans by claiming it's simply for attention is super weird for a liberal to do. Like honestly this stuff has similar vibes to old school histaria around "reefer madness"
the reaction? the audience is a bunch of NPCs following signs on when to clap or laugh.
Right, but you have to realize that these treatments can and do help some people. We need parents and adults to treat this issue in a balanced manner. We shouldn't just ban the treatments because currently some people who receive them later regret it. We need to do better so that people who are genuinely LGBTQ+ are accepted and receive the care they need while at the same time preventing children who aren't LGBTQ+ from believing they are. It's OK to question things, but the vast majority of friends I have in the LGBTQ+ community knew they were different between the ages of 4 & 10 and knew their preferred attraction by ages 8-12. The only ones who didn't realize it til later were people who were extremely sheltered and emotionally - and sometimes sexually - abused as children. We must raise children to live authentically and honestly and to let them know it's okay to be unsure about things and just to live life and love everyone... And to keep them off of toxic social media!

Brilliant and 100% spot on.
Maher is simply disingenuously dishonest here.
@0:32 ". . . and 20.8% of Gen Z." (identify as LGBTQ) @1:03 "All the babies are in the wrong bodies?"
What a disingenuously dishonest dickhead diatribe. The ACLU's unranked listing is as follows:
▪ Black, Indigenous & other people of color
▪ the LGBTQ community
▪ immigrants
▪ young people
▪ those working to make ends meet
▪ people with disabilities
The ACLU erred in ascribing a reasonable level of intelligence and common sense to Maher and his producers. It seems apparent that the ACLU did not anticipate that people would miss the obvious . . . that abortion bans do "proportionately" harm all "individuals with uteri who can become pregnant" (at times incl. most women and many trans-men, some non-binary folks, etc.). Their list is clearly meant to identify the demographic subcategories of the population with potential for pregnancy, which would experience harm "disproportionately".
@2:13 "Not everything's about you." @4:03 "Compared to trans, gay is practically cis and cis is practically Mormon."
The messages here are that (1) trans people struggling for equal rights must mean they think everything's about them, what a nuisance and (2) that trans people, being abnormal, weird, strange or de minimis . . . outliers, compared to everyone else, specifically gays, cis people or Mormons, are perhaps worthy of marginalization or dismissal and unworthy of recognition, equal rights or necessary medical care.
@2:35 "We're literally experimenting on children" @2:43 "We just don't know much about the long term effects." (of puberty blockers) "I don't understand parents who won't let their 9 yr old walk to the corner without a helmet, an epipen and a gps tracker. And god forbid their lips touch dairy, but . . . but hormone blockers and genital surgery . . . fine."
Puberty blockers, administered with relative safety to children suffering from precocious puberty since the early 80's, are only ever prescribed on a temporary basis, for a limited time period, during which patients are monitored for adverse reactions and side effects like loss of bone density. They would not be prescribed for a child as young as 9 unless that child exhibited precocious puberty. Also, I challenge anyone to identify any case where a 9 yr old underwent genital sex reassignment surgery as Maher implies here.
@5:45 "Either Ohio is shaming them or California is creating them."
Ohio Republicans are again seeking to restrict gender-affirming health care for transgender youth and prevent transgender girls from competing in female sports. Does this kind of legislation promote shame? Arguably yes, or at least inhibitive feelings which negatively impact the free expression of the lives of trans people/youth. One would have to torture words and concepts to construe the legal protections for trans people codified in California law as "creating" transgender youth in any way. Anecdotally, I know of transgender young people who have moved to California because of the legal protections afforded them there.
@8:54 "I wanted to be a pirate."
If only he had simply desired to be thoughtful and carefully accurate.
Stunning and Brave
Wow. This needed to be said, but took guts to do it. respect for Bill Maher just went up.
The most disturbing thing is that questioning things like this is now considered brave. It's like we're being conditioned to not think, not question, such that now we're afraid to do so. This is not healthy for our society. What's more, we're continually told how 'marginalised' the LGBT are, but if most people are afraid to even question them, then they actually wield a remarkable amount of power and influence.
And on the eve of Pride month, too. Definitely a good call.
guts??? NO normal person thinks trans is a real thing.
She got the numbers in French right, pronunciation was good too
Yes. Let's hope he won't be "cancelled" after this.
This is literally about the best and most needed one Bill has ever did. So many people are scared to say the actual truth that Bill just put out in this segment.
@Razo narcissistic bs? wanting to be accepted for who you are and having your humanity respected on the most basic level and not wanting to be murdered (and having communities actually care to solve your murder when you are murdered) is "narcissistic bs"..... wow
Bit of a leap
Even as a left leaning individual I agreed with everything he said
why are you scared though, I've been saying just this for five years.
@@timothyp7300 “murdered” Who is murdering who? I thought the excuse for pushing this on regular kids was suicide? It’s weird that gender dysphoria which was considered a mental illness just a few years ago, is now pushed onto children at schools. “Okay class! It’s now time to confuse you about gender. You may have been taught that you’re a boy or girl, but you can be what you want to be. You can even change on a daily basis. Don’t worry - this won’t damage you in any way - which is why I don’t want you to tell your parents I’m psychologically damaging you and grooming you into this cult.”
The most truth I've ever heard from Maher. Thank goodness there is still some common sense on the other side and that it's being voiced.
I hate it so much that I agree with Bill Maher so much. He keeps getting it right, over and over.
A huge THANK YOU to you Bill, from a same sex attracted man who does NOT have gender identity issues, but who has been called a "girl" and "feminin" all his life by sexist peers, kids and adults. And who would most likely have been set on a path towards lifelong medical patienthood, chemical castration and irreversible surgery if he was born just a few years later into this dangerous new trend. You absolutely nailed it with your statement regarding gay men and pride. I've never encountered so much homophobia in my life than I have from the "let's just be nice" crowd, the LGBTQ+ community. Which, quite frankly, hasn't been about actual gay people for a while now.
I understand. You think gay guys have it bad, real lesbians have practically disappeared.
A good friend of mine, who happens to be gay, said he and his husband finally think they understand what conservatives must feel like as they've been repeatedly shunned at LGBTQ+ events for being mockingly addressed as, and I quote, "The 'straight white males of the LGBTQ community'" and barely tolerated. He said, "I thought our movement was about equality? It seems more like it's about claiming victimhood." And he's not wrong.

New found respect for Mr. Maher. He's getting better with age. This is a complex topic that affects people deeply. Bill shed a light on the matter with this short segment, but it was done so adeptly and sprinkled with his stinging sense of humor. Well done Bill!

He misread the poll to get laughs. Not well done!! The only big number that changed was the number of bi GenZ. It's 15%. Kinsey stated as much in the 1950s. Now the newest generation feels comfortable with the label, knowing they can easily choose to live like they are straight. No threat to society here.
Most bi people choose to live with the opposite sex. Cause they are mostly straight.
Thanks Bill. It needed to be said.
